The Atlanta Falcons Matt Ryan Jersey Limited have endured a nightmarish doomsday scenario at the safety spot in 2018, with FS Ricardo Allen and SS Keanu Neal both now on IR. The once-excellent depth will now be thrust into the starting spotlight, if Dan Quinn’s Monday presser holds true. So, the plan now is for FS Damontae Kazee and SS Jordan Richards to man the safety spots, and for newly-acquired SS Keith Tandy and former safety-turned-linebacker Kemal Ishmael to slot in behind Richards. You’d figure slot corner Brian Poole will also factor in for a few looks here, particularly as rookie CB Isaiah Oliver gets more comfortable. Actually, that might work out nicely. Oliver’s growth could be a huge boost to help cover the injuries here, as it would give the team some flexibility in the slot to let, perhaps, Robert Alford fall back there and let Oliver man the outside. That’d let Poole play more safety, where he’d be a natural fit with his tackling ability. As for any new faces at the position, well, it’s a different story. So http://www.atlantafalconsteamonline.com/matt-ryan-jersey , those dreams of the team trading for star FS Earl Thomas or signing a free agent like Eric Reid don’t appear to be coming true, at least for now. The team is notoriously cagey when it comes to personnel, though the plan ahead makes sense for what Atlanta typically does under Quinn. If Kazee or Richards falters, that may of course change in the coming weeks. The Falcons are darn lucky they had the depth to withstand losing their starting tandem, even from a roster standpoint. They have options now, though the plan in place now doesn’t exactly inspire a lot of confidence. Richards is a smart player who has made some costly errors while in Atlanta, though he could settle over time. Kazee has electrifying potential, but is still learning learning how to play with the proper level of physicality and tackle within the bounds of what the NFL allows in 2018. It’s not perfect, but how can it be when two starters go down at the same position? For now, this is what the team has to work with internally. We’ll see if it works, and if they’re wise to ignore adding an outside option.Falcons defense vs. Bengals offense: Which side wins? The Falcons defense is, well, broken. Missing three (!!!) key starters and lacking production from other significant players Calvin Ridley Jersey Limited , Atlanta is looking more and more like a 2013 Falcons unit than the fast, physical group Dan Quinn is known for. After getting worked by Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints offense and giving up 43 points, Atlanta must try and stop the sixth-best scoring offense in the National Football League: the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are averaging 29.7 points per game, and have done so through some pretty consistent play from Andy Dalton. This test won’t be easy but with questions surrounding the status of A.J. Green, Atlanta may have a slightly easier task than initially expected. Let’s dive a little deeper and see how these two units match up. In the trenchesGood news: Takkarist McKinley is set to play this Sunday. Bad news: The rest of the Falcons defensive line has really struggled to get to the quarterback, while also leaving something to be desired when it comes to the run game. I think we see a better defensive line than last week, but I just don’t know how much better they can get from week to week. More good news: The Bengals offensive line is not performing very well so far this season — Clint Boling is the only offensive lineman with a Pro Football Focus grade higher than a 60. Despite that, Cincinnati has only given up four sacks this season, but these ratings are the result of the run blocking ability of the Bengals offensive line — they have the 22nd-ranked rushing offense this season. Neither one of these position groups is performing at a stellar clip thus far this season, so this will really come down to whether or not the impact players for either team can push theline of scrimmage in favor of their squad. Can Grady Jarrett, Takk McKinley, and the rest of the Falcons defensive line make that happen? I think they make some plays, but I don’t think they make enough to swing this matchup in Atlanta’s favor. Advantage: PushSkill positionsWoof. It feels like this defensive backfield is hanging on for dear life. Keanu Neal? Nope —DeMontae Kazee. Ricardo Allen? Nah — Jordan Richards. Deion Jones? No chance — Duke Riley. Atlanta is going to struggle no matter who they play and no matter the circumstance — they will never truly shut a team down http://www.atlantafalconsteamonline.com/calvin-ridley-jersey , I don’t think. However, if the offense can continue to play well and score around 30 points a game, the defense should be able to do enough to keep Atlanta in most games. As for Cincinnati, it will look very similar to last week: a great wideout on the outside, a speedy receiver, a solid slot guy, and a tough combo at tight end and running back. A.J. Green, even if he is only at 75 percent, is someone that teams have to pay attention to, so when you add in the rest of the Bengals skill position players it becomes tough for a defense. The key matchups will be John Ross and Robert Alford, as well as De’Vondre Campbell/Kazee guarding Tyler Eifert. If those guys can limit the big plays by both of those Bengals, the Falcons defense should have a shot to get the stops necessary to win the game. More than the individual matchups, the Falcons simply have to tackle well. Last week it seemed as though they had completely forgotten how to perform that simple task and it cost them dearly. Tackle well http://www.falconsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-de_vondre-campbell-jersey , limit big plays. Giovani Bernard is a very skilled back who can make defenders looks silly if they aren’t sound in their technique when trying to bring him down. Once again, I’m skeptical. They can definitely win one play every now and then, but I’m not sure that they can do it consistently, especially if there is no pressure on Dalton. This matchup is very nearly a push, but the lack of depth and the adjustments as a result of that swing things in favor of the Bengals. Advantage: Cincinnati BengalsConclusionThis team is still well coached. This team is still talented. However, they are not as experienced and not as talented as they could be. Jordan Richards looked pretty bad last week and Duke Riley is still incredibly inconsistent — not to mention the disappearance of Vic Beasley this season. For Atlanta’s defense to win the day this week, Takk will need to have a career day and the Falcons will need to keep the Bengals from taking the top off the defense. Limit the damage Bernard does out of the back field, keep Eifert from killing you across the middle, and try and keep John Ross from creating explosive plays. Atlanta does better than last week since Takk is back in the lineup, but I think they still struggle to slow down the Bengals. Each team makes some big plays and it comes down to the Atlanta offense. Check out DW’s breakdown of the Atlanta offense vs. Cincinnati defense here. Advantage: Push

Last week proved to  Youth Keanu Neal Jersey be a tough call for Falcons fans asked to select the one player they would add to Atlanta’s roster from Pittsburgh, though I bet it wasn’t such a difficult call after Cam Hayward and T.J. Watt made Matt Ryan’s life miserable. This week, though, the call is once again a difficult one. That’s because the Falcons are playing the Buccaneers, one of the most bewildering teams in the NFL. Every year, Tampa Bay seems to add fresh talent to their roster, and every year, they seem to come up well short of actually doing anything with it. This week is still very much up in the air—the Bucs are 2-2 and only have one awful game thus far—but it’s fair to wonder if a Mike Smith defense in 2018 can do enough to keep them in games. Still, there’s talent here. You could take a hard look at Ali Marpet to help on the interior of this struggling offensive line, or Demar Dotson and Donovan Smith if you wanted a salve at tackle, though neither player distinguished themselves against a nasty Bears pass rush in Week 4. There’s receiver Mike Evans, who would turn this receiving corps into even more of a ridiculous asset than it already is. And then there’s young Youth Julio Jones Jersey , useful defensive linemen like Noah Spence and Vita Vea who would at least give Atlanta upside and talent along a shaky front, even if neither has done much to this point. Personally, I’d be tempted to go with Marpet. The Falcons have an increasing, uncomfortable number of questions about their offensive line heading into next season, and getting one of the quietly better young interior linemen in the NFC would help take care of that for a few seasons. But the smart pick might still be Gerald McCoy, who remains one of the most potent defensive tackles in the game despite his advancing age, and a nice addition to a defensive line that needs help right now. Who would you pick?Falcons vs. Saints: One reason to feel confident, one reason to worry about Week 3 Every week, there are reasons to feel good about this Falcons team, and reasons to worry an awful lot. Here are those reasons this week against the New Orleans Saints. Feel confident about the Falcons offenseCam Jordan is a threat. The Saints defensive line in general is quite solid, and they have a solid secondary on paper with second year studs Marshon Lattimore and Ken Crawley. On paper. The reality is that this is the weakest defense the Falcons have faced their year by a wide margin. There’s no insanely deep collection of pass rushers like the Eagles brought to bear, and no extremely beefy defensive tackle rotation to worry about. There’s no great linebackers or safeties here to punish the Falcons. There’s just one elite pass rusher http://www.authenticsatlantafalcons.com/cheap-ryan-schraeder-jersey , some very good linemen beside him, and some very good cornerbacks who have scuffled early on in the year. The Falcons just hung 31 points on Carolina and will have failed mightily if they come up significantly short of that against the Saints. Feel worried about stopping the pass How could you not?The Falcons still have one of the better cornerback corps in the game, which goes a very long way against a Saints offense that has been content to spin out shorter and shorter passes as Drew Brees ages. This is still a potent, volume-based attack, however, and the Saints won’t be content to simply throw it to their wide receivers.Instead, look for the Saints to challenge Damontae Kazee and this group of linebackers early by throwing it to their tight end group and (most dangerously) Alvin Kamara. Ideally, the Falcons would be able to clamp down on that early and force Brees to challenge Atlanta’s cornerbacks, who are good enough to at least slow this attack down significantly, if not come away with some crucial interceptions. There’s also the question of whether the pass rush can get home. Grady Jarrett has done yeoman’s work on the interior, but he’s the only defensive lineman getting consistent pressure, with Takkarist McKinley also doing so. Takk is hurt and may not play http://www.authenticsatlantafalcons.com/cheap-ricardo-allen-jersey , though, leaving the Falcons with a potential Vic Beasley/Brooks Reed/Steven Means rotation if Derrick Shelby also can’t go. It’s hard to see a ton of production coming off the edge, and the team’s best hope is probably to see Jarrett and Jack Crawford bringing heat right in Brees’ face. I’m concerned that won’t happen, though, and if Brees can dink and dunk his way down the field to Kamara and leave Duke Riley trying to catch up, the Falcons are in trouble. That sets them up for success on offense more or less across the board, and Kamara could punish this team in the open field. That may not translate to a win for New Orleans, but it’s going to make for a very long afternoon.

Patriots “Sunday Night Football” is nearly upon us and we’re already headed for desperate time for the Detroit Lions. Drop to 0-3 and the Lions fall into a trap that only five teams since 1980 have crawled out of. Unfortunately for the Lions Authentic Matt Prater Jersey , the team that stands between them and nearly impossible odds is the New England Patriots. Even more unfortunate is the fact that New England is coming off a loss themselves, and Tom Brady is pissed. It’s a bad formula for a Lions season, and some are fearful of another Lions meltdown on national television in front of a home crowd. Our staff is not so doom-and-gloomy. While a heavy majority of us are picking the Patriots (11 of 15), over half of us (nine) believe this will finish as a one-score game. The most prolific game of Brock Osweiler's career may have been a cameo.Or not. With Ryan Tannehill nursing an injury to his throwing shoulder, it was uncertain Monday whether Osweiler will get another start for the Miami Dolphins.Osweiler thrived as Tannehill's replacement Sunday, passing for a career-high 380 yards and three touchdowns to help beat the Chicago Bears. Tannehill was ruled out only hours before kickoff but might return for Sunday's home game against the Detroit Lions, coach Adam Gase said."Ryan is day to day," Gase said. "We're going to have to wait a couple of days to see if he's feeling any better. I'll know more when I can see him throw again."The Dolphins (4-2) are tied with New England for the AFC East lead Youth Nevin Lawson Jersey , and have more wins than their next six opponents. But they might need to navigate at least some of that stretch with their backup quarterback.Tannehill first hurt his shoulder in Game 3, but didn't miss any practice time until last week. Gase said he didn't know whether there was a chance the injury could be a long-term issue, but said he's confident Tannehill will play again this season."It's such an unusual situation because last week it got worse as the week went on," Gase said. The coach quashed any potential quarterback controversy by saying Tannehill will return to the lineup when he's healthy.Regardless of how long he remains out, Osweiler said he'll be ready."Every week, whether I'm the starter, backup, third string, you name it, I prepare the same way http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-taylor-decker-jersey ," the seventh-year pro said. "I've done that my whole career, because you never know what's going to happen. An entire organization is counting on you to be prepared."Osweiler went 28 for 44 and rallied Miami from an 11-point deficit in the final 16 minutes of regulation to win 31-28. In the fourth quarter and overtime, he went 10 for 14 for 213 yards and two scores.Osweiler had a lot of help. The Dolphins finished with 541 yards, their highest total in 30 years. They had a 300-yard passer, 100-yard rusher and 100-yard receiver in the same game for the first time in 27 years."I'm messed up enough to think that's what it's going to be every week," Gase said.An injury-plagued offensive line didn't allow a sack and paved the way for 161 yards rushing, and Frank Gore reached the 100 mark for the 46th time. Albert Wilson turned short passes from Osweiler into touchdowns covering 43 and 75 yards. In short, with Tannehill out, his teammates rose to the occasion."It's definitely a downer, because we've been working with this guy so much Authentic Sylvester Williams Jersey , and he's the leader of our team," Wilson said. "But football is next man up, and we've got full confidence in Brock."Osweiler improved his record as a starter to 14-12. But he was 0-4 last year with the Denver Broncos, which made him expendable, and he signed with the Dolphins in March to back up Tannehill. He found the chance to work with Gase again appealing. Gase was his offensive coordinator in Denver in 2013-14."I wanted to play football for coach Gase and that's it, plain and simple," Osweiler said. "I believe in him. I believe in his system."Familiarity with the system came in handy against the Bears. For example, on a 2-point play the Dolphins converted to tie the game in the fourth quarter, the two primary receivers slipped and were covered, so Osweiler found Kenny Stills in the back of the end zone for the score."The 2-point conversion — we have never thrown the ball to that guy Youth Jarrad Davis Jersey ," Gase said."I've been hearing that play get called since 2013," Osweiler said, "so I've run through it mentally in my head probably at least 500 times."Osweiler also salvaged a third-and-11 play in the fourth quarter, scrambling away from pressure before throwing downfield. The pass deflected off the hand of linebacker Adrian Amos Jr., who had his back to the ball, and Stills gathered it in for a 35-yard gain."That's when you know the football gods are on your side," Osweiler said. With their quarterback situation uncertain, the Dolphins will take all the help they can get.

Ravens at Steelers Sometimes you just want to get away from football. A tough loss like the Detroit Lions’ 26-24 defeat at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys makes you want to step away from sports and just spend some time with loved ones. Catch up on “Ozarks Authentic Sylvester Williams Jersey ,” enjoy the return of “Bob’s Burgers,” read that book you’ve let sit on the shelf a little too long. Or just drink yourself to sleep. But if you’re the kind of fan that can shake off a loss like that and enjoy football for what it is: entertainment, stick around with us for the Sunday night game tonight. Hell, at the very least, you can check in on your fantasy team. This week NBC brings us a classic AFC North rivalry: The Baltimore Ravens against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are fighting off some serious drama thanks to Antonio Brown’s odd Tweets and Le’Veon Bell’s continued holdout. As a result, they sit at a meager 1-1-1 through three weeks. The Ravens have looked wildly inconsistent, even though they’re at a respectable 2-1 record. One week they blow out the Bills, the next they’re handled quite easily by the division-leading Bengals. Which team will take a big step and try to keep pace with the Bengals? Watch and find out. Here’s how to watch “Sunday Night Football.’Location: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA.Kickoff time: Sunday Youth Jarrad Davis Jersey , September 30th—8:20 pmTV: NBC Announcers: Al Michaels (play-by-play) Cris Collinsworth (analyst) | Michele Tafoya (sideline)National Radio: Westwood One Sports | Announcers: Kevin Kugler (play-by-play) Jason Taylor (analyst)Odds: Steelers by 3Lions vs. 49ers: What Just Happened? What’s worse? Getting blown out on national television by a bad Jets team or coming within an inch of a win in San Francisco? I think most people will go with the first one here, but for me, it’s the second, simply because the second had me pacing around the house with my heart beating like crazy, only to feel disappointment and sadness in the end. The Lions lose their Week 2 matchup with the 49ers, 30-27. As always, I have thoughts on this game. These are those thoughts. Not quite the bounceback you hoped Stafford would have...... but it was a bounceback nonetheless. Matthew Stafford looked like his old self for the most part on Sunday. He threw for 343 yards and three touchdowns. He even completed 63.3 percent of his passes. On paper, this looks like a pretty dang good game. But to steal from the FOX broadcast, this game was all about almosts, and Matthew had a lot of them on Sunday Cheap Frank Ragnow Jersey , specifically on deep passes. Stafford tried to hit Marvin Jones Jr. on a long pass three times and the two just couldn’t connect on any of them. I’ll give Stafford plenty of flack for overthrowing, but I’ll also give Jones some flack for being a step behind on Sunday. Which brings me to my next point. The Lions receivers are right on the top of the ladder, but they won’t reach for the beltThe Lions receivers remind me of a ladder match in the WWE. They’re slowly climbing the ladder and they’re almost there. Almost to glory. Then this happens. Look at Marvin go through that table. What I’m getting at here is for the last two weeks, the Lions receivers, specifically Marvin Jones, have been in position to make a major play and then they drop the ball or the ball goes through their hands or they just get fingertips on it. It’s eating the Lions’ chances at victory alive. But it oddly gives me hope. If the Lions are able to connect on these moments in the immediate future, they can be that elite offensive unit that everyone knows they have the potential to be. If they don’t, I‘ll jump through a table myself like I’m from Buffalo. You’re killing me, TheoI won’t ride Theo Riddick too hard here. These things happen. But Theo-riddick-ly, if he catches one of those passes at the end of the game Tavon Wilson Jersey , we’re talking about a whole different ending to the game. Dang it, Theo! The Lions defense was actually okayThey can’t stop the run to save their lives, but the Lions defense put on a decent show down the stretch on Sunday. They were able to stop a 49ers offense that had been running all over them all day, and it gave the offense a chance to come back. They only allowed three points and 51 yards in the fourth quarter. But that wasn’t all. The Lions actually had a pass rush on Sunday, too. They managed to get to Jimmy Garoppolo six times. That is very encouraging, especially since we can all agree the pass rush looked like the Lions’ biggest issue over the summer. In the secondary, losing Slay for any amount of time is going to suck, but even without Slay, the Lions were getting some good coverage at times. Some of that coverage led to a few of those sacks we were talking about. But alas, it was the Lions’ secondary that did them in in the end. Tracy Walker almost made a name for himself when he grabbed what looked to be a huge interception to set up the Lions in the red zone for a chance to win. But then that thing happened. You know the thing. The Lions shot themselves in the foot with penaltiesThis thing. I absolutely loathe this. It’s the thing that makes me want to turn the Lions off and go listen to Mumford and Sons in my basement until I fall asleep. You know you secretly like them as much as I do. You also know you don’t know why. The Lions committed 10 penalties for 105 yards in all. The thing about them is that they all happened in moments when the Lions were gaining momentum. I’m specifically talking about the back-to-back holding calls on Taylor Decker and Frank Ragnow that took the Lions from first-and-10 in the red zone to first-and-27 and an eventual long field goal. This isn’t new. The Lions have been doing this for years and I can’t understand why. It sucks to watch other teams march down the field unabated while the Lions push themselves backwards. Speaking of push.Blount showed he can still be a hot headI’m not going to react like so many people on social media did. I saw a lot of people with this dumb take: “At least Blount is showing that he cares.” How? By setting his own team back and potentially costing them another possession? The players do care. They’re not Vontae Davis. They won’t retire at halftime. If you need blatant idiocy to feel good about the team http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-ricky-jean-francois-jersey , I just think that’s dumb. This helped nobody. This not only put the Lions back a few yards, it also put them down to just one running back for a short period of time while Riddick was dealing with an injury. I sincerely hope that’s the last time Blount does something like that and you should too. There’s just no room for that when you’re down three scores. Like I said, I still come away somewhat encouragedTo go back to the FOX broadcast team one more time, the game of almost means something to me. It means that someday those almosts will turn into wins, and I think the Lions are just inches away from that. It’s all about the little things right now. I’m a crazy person and everyone knows that. But I still think there’s a winning record in here somewhere. I even think there’s postseason berth. Don’t get me wrong. I still think there’s also a giant chance that this season turns into an unmitigated disaster and the Lions get a great draft pick in April. I could go either way at this point, but what I’m really hoping for is that the Lions decide which team they’re going to be already, because my heart can’t take much more of this.

A Commotion on the Strip: How to bet on NFL Week 1 What a year for the sin of gambling! The gates on sports betting have been battered down Authentic Kerryon Johnson Jersey , and now if you want to put down figures on a sleazy Thursday night football game, you don’t need to go to Nevada—a land of fading music acts smelling vaguely of minty beef stew. Instead, you can go to Atlantic City! Just what we the doctor ordered. We’re going to check the lines all year long and give you exactly what you need to make a considerable amount of money. No guarantees, no promises, and if you don’t hold me to it I won’t hold you to this baseball bat neither. Now let’s make some picks.Season ATL +1.5 @ PHIThere’s something reassuring, cosmic even Youth LeGarrette Blount Jersey , that even a team like the Philadelphia Eagles can win a Super Bowl and immediately fall to injuries and doubt. Somehow I don’t think the Nick Foles cycle continues much longer here, but just enough to give them a taste. Good things just don’t get to happen to teams in the NFC.The past three kickoff games have failed to see the defending champions cover the spread, and you shouldn’t expect too much different this week. Movement on this line is watching bettors run away from Philadelphia.PIT -4 @ CLEAre you worried about Le’Veon Bell’s holdout hamstringing the Steelers offense? Well you shouldn’t be! Asides from the fact that it’s not proper for any working soul to begrudge a man demanding proper compensation for his labor, the Steelers were without Bell in 2015 and did just fine. In 10 matches without him, Pittsburgh averaged 31.9 points per game.MIN vs. SF under 46In time betting the under will vanish from this fair earth, all manner of disagreements resolved, the winter of our discontent and things of that nature. But in this case http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-christian-jones-jersey , I’m happy to think highly of Minnesota’s defense and San Francisco’s struggle to get the offense running will translate into a low-scoring affair.MIA +1.5 vs. TENHome dogs are nice early on in the year, or so I like to believe.CAR -3 vs. DALCall this one a gut play. I see a lot of numbers sites and wise guys liking Carolina and I can’t explain why. I’ll take the Panthers.DEN -3 vs. SEAYou should read this piece by Justis Mosqueda about how Denver is a death trap early in the season. 85 percent winning in the first two weeks is insane, and it’s not a trend limited to just years where they were juggernauts.NYJ +6.5 @ DETI don’t see the value of spotting short of a touchdown to the Lions, but this line has held steady through the week. That’s in spite of all the news that has come for both teams. It’s properly curious for a primetime game. I smell a trap, but this is the first round of picks and I’d be a fool not to include Detroit in here. All the restI just said I hate betting the under, right? It’s a terrible thing, rooting for football to be constrained in numerical functionality. But given the new helmet rules and some particularly curious matchups paired with high totals Devon Kennard Jersey , there’s a good trend here to take the snake and call it short. I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean.IND -3 vs. CINOAK vs. LAR under 49.5KC +3.5 @ LACBAL vs. BUF over 40.5ARI -1 vs. WASNE -6.5 vs. HOUGB vs. CHI under 47.5NO vs. TB under 49.5NYG +3 vs. JAXDetroit Lions waive Trevor Bates to make room for Marquis Flowers The Detroit Lions made the signing of former Patriots linebacker Marquis Flowers official on Monday afternoon. The move was expected after Ian Rapoport reported as such Monday morning. But the Lions also announced the corresponding move to make room for Flowers, waiving fellow linebacker Trevor Bates. As we wrote not too long ago, Bates was a special teams standout during the preseason, and even made Pro Football Focus’ All-Preseason team, with an impressive 90.7 overall grade. But Flowers also brings some special team skills, having been used in that role during his first two years with the Bengals. Last season, Flowers blossomed (wink) into a bigger role under Matt Patricia and the New England Patriots. Now Flowers will enter a linebacker competition with Jalen Reeves-Maybin Cheap Michael Roberts Jersey , Eli Harold and Christian Jones for some playing time on defense while also presumably adding another body to their special teams squad. In addition to these moves, the Lions announced one more addition to their practice squad: defensive tackle John Atkins, formerly with the Patriots.

That isn't likely to  Arizona Cardinals Hats come until before kickoff Thursday, when Arizona hosts the Denver Broncos.Rosen threw sharp passes in practice Tuesday, the thumb injury that kept him out of Sunday's game against Dallas not appearing to bother him. Rosen slammed his thumb into a helmet during practice last week. With starting quarterback Sam Bradford not likely to play much, if at all, Rosen might be in store for a couple of series against the Broncos if it's determined he will play."I'm fine now, so nothing's really an issue," Rosen said.Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks said he thought Rosen threw the ball well."He didn't have a problem as far as taking it underneath the center, the snap," Wilks said. "I thought his execution was on point, so it's still up in the air whether I want to play him. I want him to go through the week and see how he feels, and I'll make that decision on game day."The issue for Wilks is trying to find a balance between getting the rookie first-round pick more game action and trying to keep Rosen from re-injuring his thumb. After some struggles in no small part due to poor offensive line play in his preseason debut Aug. 11, Rosen looked sharp in the Cardinals' second preseason game at New Orleans. He was 10 of 16 for 107 yards and a touchdown while leading three scoring drives.Wilks said he would like Rosen to play since he missed a game and therefore an opportunity to see another NFL defensive scheme."As a rookie, the more and more you see different looks, particularly a 3-4 defense, I think it's important because he's going to be able to see that throughout the year," Wilks said.Rosen looks ready to be the Cardinals' backup quarterback when the regular season begins even if he doesn't play this week Arizona Cardinals T-Shirt , Wilks said.Rosen wants to continue to improve and get more comfortable."Just continue to feel the pocket, get behind center, call a cadence and call plays," Rosen said.NOTE: Wilks said roster spot battles continue, specifically citing wide receiver and cornerback, which he said will "go down to the wire." Another opportunistic day by the Chicago defense has the Bears at 2-1 and alone in first place in the NFC North for the first time since late in the 2013 season. The Arizona Cardinals, meanwhile, have joined the parade of teams with a rookie quarterback on the field.Cody Parkey kicked his third field goal of the game, a 43-yarder with 4:31 to remaining, to rally the Bears to a 16-14 victory over the winless Cardinals on Sunday."It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize we are winning games because of our defense," Chicago coach Matt Nagy said. "They are playing fast right now."The Bears forced four turnovers on four consecutive Arizona possessions in the second half.Sam Bradford threw two first-quarter touchdown passes to put the Cardinals up 14-0, but was replaced by rookie Josh Rosen after fumbling the ball away deep in Chicago territory late in the game.Rosen, the 10th overall pick in this year's draft out of UCLA, drew a standing ovation from the Cardinals crowd as he jogged on the field."I just told him to go get the win," Bradford said, "be him www.cardinalscheapshops.com , go out there and do what he is capable of, lead this team."Rosen drove Arizona past midfield, but on fourth-and-5 from the Bears 45, his pass was intercepted by Bryce Callahan with 1:10 to play.Arizona got the ball back one more time. Chicago picked off Rosen again, this time returning it for a touchdown, but an offside penalty negated the play and the game ended with Rosen sacked by Sherrick McManis, who also had one of two of Bradford's interceptions."I threw a pick and almost a second pick-6," Rosen said, "so I've got a lot to work on."Coach Steve Wilks said he made the quarterback change because "I felt like we needed a spark."As for the starter next game, "We're going to evaluate Josh as well as Sam. We're going to watch the tape and we'll see exactly what I want to do as far as moving forward with that."Clinging to a 14-13 lead, the Cardinals drove to the Chicago 21 early in the fourth quarter but the scrambling Bradford was tackled by Khalil Mack. Bradford fumbled and Danny Trevathan recovered at the Bears 16."I knew he was going to have the ball in his right hand, got my head out of the way because that's a big part of the rules nowadays, and tried to make a play," Mack said. "It was what we worked on all week."Chicago, with the help of an unnecessary roughness penalty on Tre Boston, drove downfield and got the go-ahead field goal. With a good share of the crowd cheering them on Womens Customized Arizona Cardinals Jerseys , the Bears (2-1) intercepted three passes and recovered one fumble. Arizona is 0-3 for the first time since 2004.But it was the Cardinals getting off to a fast start.Arizona's offense, which had scored a total of six points in two lopsided losses entering the game, took the opening kickoff and went 75 yards in just five plays. On third-and-4 from the Cardinals 29-yard line, Bradford connected with rookie Christian Kirk on a 30-yard play. Two plays later, Bradford found tight end Ricky Seals-Jones wide open for a 35-yard touchdown. The Bears responded with a run-oriented drive to the Arizona 13. But on third down, Bene Benwikere and Budda Baker, blitzing from each side, dropped Mitchell Trubisky for a 15-yard loss and Parkey's 46-yard field-goal try was wide right.Arizona went three-and-out but on the next series, Robert Nkemdiche stripped the ball from Trubisky and Corey Peters recovered at the Chicago 21.On the next play, Bradford threw 21 yards to David Johnson in the end zone to make it 14-0.The Bears used 5:27 on an 11-play drive that stalled on the Arizona 2 and Chicago settled for a 20-yard field goal by Parkey to cut the lead to 14-3. The driving included roughing-the-passer calls against Nkemdiche and Markus Golden that had Wilks livid on the sideline.FINALLY, A TDThe Bears finally got in the end zone on Howard's 1-yard run that cut Arizona's lead to 14-10 with 6:16 left in the third quarter.Chicago went for it on fourth-and-1 at the Cardinals 19 and barely converted on a 1-yard shovel pass to Allen Robinson II.Tarik Cohen's 17-yard run set up the score.MORE MACKMack had another impressive day for the Bears with two sacks, a tackle for loss, a forced fumble and three quarterback hits.INJURIESChicago cornerback Prince Amukamara left the game in the third quarter with a hamstring injury.UP NEXTBears: are home against Tampa Bay on Sunday.Cardinals: host Seattle next Sunday.

It seems like more than ever Youth Chandler Jones Jersey , Mike McCoy trusted David Johnson last Sunday. The first three plays went to Johnson against Seattle. That’s trust. They put more blockers in the box and put the onus on Johnson to make the perimeter defender miss. That’s trust. They lined him out as a receiver. About time, but that’s trust. Against, the 49ers, if McCoy trusts Johnson again, they should win.One of the areas that I thought McCoy improved was using different formations. It seemed like previously you was clear as day when the Cardinals were going to run. Sunday it would be under center with three wide receivers and a tight end. Or out of shotgun with four receivers. He spread Seattle out and it worked. San Francisco gave up over 100 yards to a Chargers rushing offense that has an offensive line that has struggled as much as Arizona’s.It goes back to what we talked about after week one. Giving a guy like Johnson the ball under 15 times a game in mind-boggling. We saw against the Seahawks that eventually, he’s going to break one. Even though Johnson only had three catches, his usage was so much better. It wasn’t anything crazy, either. Something as simple as this:The old “throw the ball to your best player” works. Give Johnson some confidence in space and I feel like it translates to him running better. We saw that Sunday and I believe we’ll see more of it against the 49ers. I believe he’ll break a long one off to the right side, an area where the 49ers struggle to stop the run.I do think it goes without saying that having a quarterback that can actually throw will help open things up for Johnson. I’m interested to see how much more the playbook opens up for Josh Rosen in his second start.Bird Droppings: Arizona Cardinals get Fitz and Nkemdiche back to practice http://www.cardinalsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-markus-golden-jersey , Doug Baldwin returns for Seahawks and more Happy Friday one and all, we have made it!The Arizona Cardinals take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday and in order to help us get ready, we will be talking to the folks over at Field Gulls today.More than that though, we need to take a look around the web at the Arizona Cardinals to get ready for Sunday.Let’s get to it.Victories, Not Catches Or Yards, On Larry Fitzgerald's MindNotes: Cardinals get lessons on hitting the QB; Holcolmb evaluates BucannonBen茅 Benwikere Learns From Julio Jones ExperienceCornerback looking to revitalize career after high-profile struggle in 2016Fitzgerald - 'I Just Want To Be A Successful Team'WR Larry Fitzgerald speaks with the media on QB Josh Rosen and what is at stake this week.Peterson - 'It's About Finishing'CB Patrick Peterson talks to the media about this week's game against the SeahawksGame Teaser - #SEAvsAZThe Cardinals face an all-too-familiar foe this week as the Seattle Seahawks come into town.Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen confident ahead of first career startCardinals rookie Josh Rosen, who will make his first career start Sunday, said he's not trying to emulate other QBs.  Friday and the Denver Broncos were considering promoting new practice squader Colby Wadman to take his place this weekend against the New York Jets ."I'm very comfortable with him Cheap Kolton Miller Jersey , if he has to go," said coach Vance Joseph. That confidence was echoed by kicker Brandon McManus and special teams coordinator Tom McMahon after King was listed as doubtful for Sunday.Joseph will meet with general manager John Elway to decide who to cut if the Broncos promote Wadman.Asked if that might be King, who signed a three-year, $7 million deal in Denver after his ouster from Oakland this offseason, Joseph said, "Well, anything's possible.""We're trying to win a football game and we've got to have a punter, obviously. So, we'll see. I'll get with John and we'll decide it," Joseph said. The Broncos brought in Wadman, a rookie from UC Davis, last week to push King after a poor punting performance at Baltimore.King had another bad outing Monday night against Kansas City, however, when his 35-yard punt to the Kansas City 40-yard line in the closing minutes set up the Chiefs' winning touchdown drive in a 27-23 game at Mile High Stadium.King came out of that game with a groin/right thigh injury and Wadman got all the work during the week.McMahon said he had "very high confidence" in Wadman's punting abilities, and McManus said he was equally confident in Wadman as his holder."Who knows what's going to happen if Marquette plays or not. But I've had enough holds with Colby to feel confident with him," McManus said.Wadman's college eligibility expired in 2016, and he gave himself three years to become a pro punter Seth Roberts Jersey , working odd jobs in between workouts.Wadman said he was about to start a temp job working for his mother's boss helping out at an accounting firm in Thousand Oaks, California, when the Broncos called last week."I'm just staying ready," Wadman said. "Obviously, I haven't kicked in two years, but being out here in practice, working out with the team, they're all telling me how much they believe in me. They have confidence in me. If I do end up getting the call, I feel ready for it."The Broncos will play at MetLife, the biggest stadium in the NFL with a capacity of 82,500, but that doesn't faze Wadman."We played at Oregon my senior year. Pretty decent size, obviously," Wadman said of Autzen Stadium in Eugene which has a capacity of 54,000. "Size of the stadium doesn't mean a thing to me. I'm just kicking, no matter where I'm at." With this week's game preparations completed for the Oakland Raiders, coach Jon Gruden is confident he knows the Miami Dolphins' playbook Cheap P.J. Hall Jersey , personnel and pronunciations. It's TAN-uh-hill.That's not the way Gruden said the name when he was a network TV analyst talking about Ryan Tannehill."He always pronounced my name funny: 'Tanney-hill,'" the Dolphins quarterback recalls with a laugh.Gruden stands corrected."I called him that on Monday Night Football a time or two," the Raiders' first-year coach says. "I knew a guy named Steve Taneyhill who played quarterback at South Carolina. You can't fault me; I'm human like everybody else. But I know his name now for sure."With that issue settled, here are other things to know about Sunday's matchup between Miami (2-0) and Oakland (0-2):KEEPING IT GROUNDED: Tannehill's name may be foremost for the Raiders' defense, but he has handed off more than he has thrown in the first two weeks. That's a big change from last year, when the Dolphins threw 64 percent of the time, the NFL's highest rate. With Miami 2-0 for the first time since 2013, Tannehill's happy to pass less."I'm good with whatever is winning," he says. "Whatever scores points."Oakland's soft run defense makes it likely Miami running backs Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore will get plenty of touches. Broncos rookie Phillip Lindsay ran for 107 yards last week against the Raiders, and they're allowing an average of 5.7 yards per rush, worst in the league.ON TARGET: The Raiders' Derek Carr bounced back from a three-interception performance in the opener to complete 29 of 32 passes in a one-point loss at Denver. His 90.6 completion percentage was the best ever for a QB with at least 30 attempts, and would have been better if not for a key drop on fourth-and-1 by Keith Smith.Carr says he's already able to anticipate what play Gruden will call next."We're building that, and it's going to take time to continue to build that," he says. "But it's kind of cool to already be thinking what he's thinking before it even comes out."NELSON'S TURN: Oakland's biggest offseason addition at the skill positions hasn't paid off yet: Jordy Nelson has just five receptions for 53 yards.Tight end Jared Cook was the focal point of the passing game in the opener with nine catches for 180 yards, and receiver Amari Cooper got into the act last week with 10 catches for 116 yards."It's just matchups and opportunities," Nelson says. "Obviously, Jared had a great game Week 1 http://www.raiderscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-marcus-gilchrist-jersey , Coop had one last week, so maybe I'm in the rotation this week."VERSATILE: Dolphins newcomer Albert Wilson has become a multiple threat, lining up as a boundary receiver and occasionally in the backfield. He has six catches for 68 yards and a score, and four rushes for 15 yards."I've been around a few guys over my time who were similar, but I don't think as dynamic as what he is," coach Adam Gase says. "He's legitimately a guy that is almost built like a running back but plays like a wide receiver."The speedy Wilson says the way he's being used takes him back to his days as a high school quarterback."It's just coach Gase bringing it out, just challenging me to be a better player," Wilson says. "He's definitely bringing it out of me."PRESSURE POINT: The Raiders did a better job generating heat on the quarterback last week when they had nine pressures, compared with four in the opener, according to SportRadar. But Oakland has just two sacks, tied for second-fewest in the league. The Raiders traded Khalil Mack before the season, and he has two sacks and 10 pressures for Chicago. Oakland is looking for a replacement elite rusher."It's hard to find a great one. It's hard to find a good one. It's hard to find one," Gruden says.AP Sports Writer Josh Dubow in Oakland, California, contributed to this report.Follow Steven Wine on Twitter: ://Steve_Wine

The Los Youth Reggie Nelson Jersey Angeles Chargers received the ball first at home in this one so the Oakland Raiders began the game on defense. They gave up two big plays on the drive, a 17 yard pass to Keenan Allen and a 16 yard run by Melvin Gordon. After that the defense settled down though and eventually ended the Chargers drive with a Bruce Irvin sack on 3rd down. The sack forced a 49 yard field goal attempt for LA that they successfully made for a 3-0 lead. The Chargers one upped Bruce Irvin’s sack with a 3rd down sack of their own but their’s forced a Raiders punt on Oakland’s first offensive drive of the game. Their offense again got a big completion to Keenan Allen on their drive but the Raiders defense came up with a big stop from Darryl Worley just outside of field goal range to force the Chargers punt. After that it was the Raiders turn to get on the board. They started off their drive with first down completions to Amari Cooper, Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant followed by tough running from Marshawn Lynch down to inside the Chargers 5 yard line. They couldn’t get any closer from there though so they settled for a 23 yard kick from Matt McCain which tied the game at 3.There wasn’t a single first down between the two teams over the next 4 drives in a row. Unfortunately it was the Chargers who finally broke the streak. Then after finally getting a 1st down, they went 44 yards on a catch and run TD to back up RB Austin Ekeler on the very next play. The big strike almost never happened with Philip Rivers almost fumbling the shot gun snap, but instead the play resulted in the Chargers retaking the lead 10-3.The very first play of the Raiders drive was a big catch and run by Martavis Bryant, except he didn’t secure the ball tightly and it was easily stripped away while he was running for a turnover. The Raiders then gave up 11 yard reception to Keenan Allen and another big catch and run to a Chargers running back, this time a 34 yard play to Melvin Gordon who would have scored had he not tripped over himself at the Oakland 10. Gordon made up for falling on his own with a 9 yard run to the 1, followed by punching it in from there on 3rd down to make the score 17-3.Oakland had 1:39 before the end of the half starting at their own 25 after a touchback on the ensuing kickoff. They managed to get close enough to try a 57 yard field goal attempt thanks to a couple of Seth Roberts completions and one to Jared Cook. Unfortunately the kick was no good after falling just short. The Chargers had 6 seconds before halftime after that with getting the ball at their own 47. They completed one play for 10 yards before attempting a Hail Mary that was knocked down incomplete, however Bruce Irvin idiotically committed a roughing the passer penalty to give the Chargers a field goal attempt. Luckily the kick sailed left http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-gabe-jackson-jersey , but that doesn’t make the Irvin penalty any less stupid. He literally took two steps after the ball was gone before shoving Rivers to the ground.Oakland got the ball first in the 2nd half but did nothing with it. Less than nothing in fact, they lost 7 yards before punting on 4th and 17. The Chargers started their first possession of the 2nd half at their own 26 after the punt. They quickly got into Raiders territory with passes to Keenan Allen and WR Mike Williams, along with a big 3rd and 11 conversion from TE Antonio Gates down to the OAK 21. The defense did come up with the stop after that to hold LA to a 30 yard field goal which made the score 20-3.Derek Carr and the Raiders offense desperately needed to get things going on their next drive, and it looked like they did thanks to a huge 3rd down conversion of yards to Jalen Richard down to the LA 25. They then got a defensive Pass Interference penalty in the end zone shortly on their next 3rd down play. Inexplicably they passed on 1st and goal from the one though and Carr threw it directly to the Chargers LB Melvin Ingram for a gut wrenching interception in the end zone. It was yet another bizarre, trying to do way too much interception from Derek Carr. The Chargers started at their own 3 after the interception but got out of the bad field position in just one play by going deep on 1st down for a 54 yard completion to Tyrell Williams. They then got another big completion a couple of plays later on a 2nd and 18 play to Mike Williams for 26 yards and a 12 yard completion to Keenan Allen on a 3rd and 11. Adding insult to injury, they got the touchdown on the next play to TE Virgil Green despite Arden Key playing the screen well and just missing tipping the ball away. Los Angeles missed the extra point though so the score was 26-3 after the TD pass.Oakland showed they weren’t giving up down 23 with just over 9 minutes left in the 4th by completing a 47 yard pass to Martavis Bryant and converting on a 4th and 4 with a pass to Seth Roberts. They then got their touchdown a few plays later on a one yard pass to Jordy Nelson, a play that never should have counted because about half of the Raiders team wasn’t set before the snap. No flag was thrown so the touchdown made the score 26-10, but the drive took 4:31 to score on because the Raiders showed absolutely no urgency on the drive despite having been down 3 scores.Los Angeles then recovered the onside kick attempt with 5:10 left in the 4th quarter. They converted a huge 3rd and 6 to keep the clock rolling with the 16 point lead. They then had another 3rd and 6 later in the drive and converted that one too. That one allowed the Chargers to kneel out the rest of the clock, Raiders lose 26-10.Raiders week 5 snap counts vs Chargers: Daryl Worley returns from suspension to lead cornerbacks bumping Gareon Conley Another Reggie McKenzie draft pick is getting out of the way in favor of a Gruden acquisition. Gareon Conley has started the Raiders’ first four games this season. But that was while offseason free agent signing Daryl Worley was serving a four-game suspension. Worley returned this week and with just three practices with the team Seth Roberts Jersey , he took over the team lead in snaps against the Chargers.Worley led the cornerbacks with 49 snaps (77%) which is third on the team. Meanwhile Gareon Conley got the fewest snaps (13) among the cornerbacks, despite officially starting the game. Even Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (19) and Leon Hall (39) got more snaps than Conley.Even with Conley opening last week’s win with a pick six, the big plays he is giving up can’t be overlooked. He gave up a 59-yard catch to Antonio Callaway last week against the Browns and gave up a 48-yard catch to Mike Williams in this game. Both ultimately led to touchdowns.Worley on the other hand, has showed up well in this game, including making a couple very nice tackles, finishing second on the team with 8 tackles. We’ll have to wait until the film comes out to see how it did overall in coverage. This is not the first time this season Conley has gotten fewer snaps than two other cornerbacks. In week three in Miami he was third behind Rashaan Melvin and Leon Hall. Every other week he has been top two in snaps among cornerbacks.Week 5 snap counts..Offense.Defense.Special Tms...Offense.Defense.Special Tms.
