on Sunday afternoon Minnesota Vikings T-Shirt , the Minnesota Vikings are dealing with a couple of injury issues. Some of those issues have left them short at a pretty important position, and it will be interesting to see how they handle it.Tashawn Bower (ankle) and Everson Griffen (personal issues) are both going to miss Sunday’s game for the Vikings, which means that they only have two defensive ends on the roster healthy enough to play on Sunday: Danielle Hunter and Stephen Weatherly. Weatherly has started the past two games in Griffen’s absence, and Hunter has had a strong start to the season. The rest of the defensive end depth chart, however, is on the shelf in some way. The Vikings had signed Jonathan Wynn to the practice squad earlier this week, but as of Saturday night had not made a move to place him on the main roster. It will be interesting to see how the Vikings handle this Minnesota Vikings Hats , and there are a couple of different potential solutions. First, the Vikings have rookie Jalyn Holmes available and could potentially use him as a defensive end. Holmes has not been active for a game yet this year, and primarily worked on the inside in camp as a three-technique tackle. However, he played a lot of defensive end in college and could fill that spot in a pinch. The other solution. . .and one that I’d, frankly, like to see. . .involved linebacker Anthony Barr. During the offseason, the Vikings had said that they were going to attempt to use Barr more as a hand-in-the-dirt defensive end Minnesota Vikings Hoodie , particularly in pass-rushing situations. However, we haven’t really seen much of that during this early portion of the regular season. With the situation the Vikings are currently looking at, however, they might not have much of a choice. The upside of that is that it would give Barr the opportunity to get after the opposing quarterback, and it would keep him far away from opposing wide receivers. This can only be considered a good thing.Like I said, I’m not sure exactly what the Vikings are going to do as far as their defensive end situation on Sunday, but they don’t have a whole lot of readily-available solutions at this point Youth Customized Minnesota Vikings Jerseys , either.Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers: Inactive lists for both teams We are about an hour away from kickoff at Lambeau Field between the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers in the first half of the Border Battle for this season, and both teams have released their lists of inactive players leading up to today’s contest. Let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out, starting with the visiting team.Minnesota VikingsRB Mike BooneDE Tashawn BowerC Pat ElfleinDT Jalyn HolmesQB Kyle SloterRB Roc ThomasG Bryan WitzmannNo real surprises on the inactive list for the Vikings in this one, with the possible exception of Bower. We knew that Elflein would be sitting this one out, and the Vikings have decided to roll with just Dalvin Cook and Latavius Murray at running back for today’s contest. Now, on to the home team.Green Bay PackersLB Oren BurksCB Deante BurtonS Raven GreeneS Josh JonesOL Alex LightWR J’Mon MooreWR Equanimeous St. BrownAs we’ve already mentioned, Aaron Rodgers is active and will start for the Packers at quarterback. Green Bay has three quarterbacks active today www.minnesotavikingsteamonline.com , as DeShone Kizer and Tim Boyle are both in uniform today behind him on the depth chart. The Packers have also activated wide receiver Davante Adams, who was limited in practice with a shoulder issue all week. Those are the inactive lists for today’s contest, folks. The Open Thread should be up and running here shortly for your viewing pleasure as we get closer to kickoff.

Bills Hey Womens Laquon Treadwell Jersey , kids! Yours truly has the Stock Market Report for the next couple of weeks, because Ted is blessing the rains down in Africa or something or other on vacation. I’m assuming that nobody has told Ted that Africa has snakes, because if they had I’d think that the midwestern United States would be just about as close as Ted would get to the place. But, even though I’m making jokes at Ted’s expense, at least he had the good sense not to sit down and subject himself to the absolute hot mess of a garbage pile of a dumpster fire of a complete freaking disaster that the rest of us subjected ourselves to on Sunday afternoon. How bad was it for the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills? Well, we have this little number from Chase Stuart from the outstanding Football Perspective website:Yeah, it was that bad. The Vikings’ afternoon was a disaster right from the start, and it only got worse from there. They were a three-score favorite, and the competitive portion of the game was effectively over by the midway point of the second quarter. All in all, for fans of the purple, it was a pretty bad day.Isn’t that right, Mr. Powter?Cause you had a bad dayYou’re taking one downYou sing a sad song just to turn it aroundYou say you don’t knowYou tell me don’t lieYou work at a smile and you go for a rideYou had a bad dayThe camera don’t lieYou’re coming back down and you really don’t mindYou had a bad dayYou had a bad dayThe Stock Market Report for the Minnesota Vikings’ Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day follows.Blue Chip StocksDan Bailey, K - Pretty much the only guy in a Minnesota Vikings’ uniform that wasn’t a complete and total screw-up for most of the day on Sunday. Kudos to you, sir.Solid InvestmentsStephen Weatherly, DE - I don’t want to completely crap on everyone. . .though there will be plenty of that in the next category. . .so I will say that Weatherly had a solid first NFL start with Everson Griffen sitting this one out. He tied for the team lead in tackles and had a sack, and I didn’t see a lot of egregiously awful stuff from him. So, for a young guy making his first start, I’ll give him a little bit of credit.Junk BondsThe entire offensive line, and especially Riley Reiff - The Vikings’ offense managed to generate just about nothing in the first half of play. A lot of that had to do with the fact that Kirk Cousins was under siege. On each of the Vikings’ first two drives, Cousins fumbled on third down plays. On both of those plays, he was hit from behind. Is some of that on Cousins? Sure it is. But that was the start of a pattern we saw all day.Reiff’s play was particularly egregious, given that he’s the highest-paid member and the de facto leader of the offensive line. Jerry Hughes ate Reiff’s lunch all afternoon on Sunday. Not only did Hughes eat Reiff’s lunch, he followed Reiff home, and when Reiff went to the refrigerator to get himself a snack, Hughes ate that, too. I know that Reiff isn’t considered an elite tackle or anything, but man alive he’s gotta be better than he was on Sunday. The rest of the offensive line was relatively awful on Sunday, too. Now, on a short week, they have to prepare to take a trip to the West Coast to face what might be the best front four in the NFL. What’s the worst that could happen?Anthony Barr http://www.thevikingsfootballauthentic.com/andrew-sendejo-jersey-authentic , LB - I know that Eric touched on this briefly in his preview leading up to this week’s game, but I want to ask this:Exactly what has Anthony Barr done since the hit that knocked out Aaron Rodgers last October? Here’s a summary of Barr’s first half:Honestly, this is a guy that sat out a little bit of Organized Team Activities earlier this year because he saw lots of people getting new contracts and not him. He’s a guy that’s playing for his next contract, whether it’s in Minnesota or somewhere else. If he keeps playing the way he has been so far, frankly whoever wants him can have him. I don’t know if it’s rooted in injury or disinterest or unhappiness with his contract or what it is, but he damn sure doesn’t look like a guy that Rick Spielman and company should be preparing to back up the proverbial armored truck for.I’ll grant you, just about every guy on the Vikings’ defense on Sunday had a bad game. I’m not sure if any of them had a worse game than Barr, and in Barr’s case it’s becoming more of a pattern.I could greatly expand on the Junk Bonds section, but we’d be here all night, so let’s move on.Buy/SellBuy: John DeFilippo let this game get away from him - To say that the Minnesota Vikings’ play calling was unbalanced on Sunday would be the ultimate understatement. In 65 offensive plays on Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings had six rushes. Two of those runs came from Kirk Cousins on scrambles, which means that the Vikings called four designed runs on Sunday afternoon against the Bills.Four. As in, like, one per quarter. Mike Boone and Latavius Murray had two carries each. That was it.I know that Dalvin Cook sat this one out, but seriously. . .there needs to be some sort of balance there, even when the game gets out of hand early.Sell: John DeFilippo isn’t a great offensive coordinator - That having been said, I do think that DeFilippo is a good offensive coordinator overall. He’s shown a lot of things to be excited about over the first few weeks of the season, and I think that a game like this is going to prove to be the exception rather than the rule for him going forward. Besides, he didn’t make Kirk Cousins cough up those fumbles and put the offense in a terrible position early. Much like Bob Schnelker, that was not John DeFilippo’s fault.Buy: The Minnesota Vikings have a lot of talented defensive players - It’s hard to deny that the Vikings have numerous talented players on the defensive side of the football. Guys like Danielle Hunter and Linval Joseph and Harrison Smith and Xavier Rhodes are all among the best in the NFL at their positions. There are as many talented players on the Minnesota Vikings’ defense as there are on any other defense in the National Football League.Sell: The Minnesota Vikings are one of the best defenses in the National Football League - Having said that, something has happened to this team and they’re not even close to anything resembling a “great” defense. Not anymore. They fell apart in the second half against New Orleans, they fell apart against Philadelphia, they weren’t great against San Francisco, they weren’t great against Green Bay, and they damn sure weren’t great today against Buffalo. They still have the reputation of being a great defense, certainly, but as of right now they’re coasting on that reputation a bit.Buy: Mike Hughes has all the skills to be a great return man - We’ve seen all the highlights, and we know that part of the reason the Vikings liked him coming out of college was because of his potential ability as a return specialist.Sell: Mike Hughes needs to bring every kickoff out of the end zone - Having said that, Mike Hughes is not Percy Harvin or Cordarrelle Patterson. Yes, I know the Vikings were looking for a spark today. However, on the three returns that Hughes brought out of the end zone on Sunday, he failed to reach the 25 on any of them, and on two of the three the Vikings were penalized Youth Mike Hughes Jersey , pushing them back to inside their own 10-yard line. Sometimes it’s okay to just take the ball at the 25-yard line. Somebody needs to tell him that.Buy: This is one of the most embarrassing losses in recent regular season history - All of the indications were that the Vikings should have won this game in a big way. The Bills got throttled in their season opener and didn’t look great in Week 2, either. The Vikings were at home, they looked to be the better and more talented team on paper, and they were looking to bounce back after their tie against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2. But, that didn’t happen.Sell: The 2018 season is over - That said, this is Week 3. Yes, the Vikings have two very difficult road games coming up. Yes, it’s very possible that this team could be 1-3-1 after those two games. But this team does have talent, and although this is humiliating and not at all what we were expecting, there’s still a lot of football to be played. The Vikings have to make some adjustments and get some things straightened out, but it’s only September. At least, that’s what I’m going to keep telling myself.I’d give you a Grandson Quote of the Week, but. . .well, I don’t have kids. Therefore, I have no grandkids. Therefore, I have no such thing along those lines to offer you. That’s this week’s SMR, folks. I’ll be back with this next week as well with Ted still being on vacation. *****Download Link Here*****Episode Notes:Here’s the link, when it goes live, to my review of the Eagles gameHere’s the discussion of the game probability and late game management I mentionedThis is my 2014 article on Chad GreenwayThis piece on rushing overrelies on yards-per-carry to make its point, but it does an excellent job otherwise demonstrating that the relationship is positive but not huge. This piece does an excellent job localizing it to the first three quartersThis one, by Ben Baldwin, shows that the relationship between running — whether by volume, effectiveness or attempts — doesn’t seem to relate to much to passing. This study breaks it down in a variety of ways and found the same.Special thanks to Rhymesayers Entertainment and Atmosphere for the new theme song!Arif - @ArifHasanNFLJames - @bigmonoTo listen to more, this is the link to that iTunes feed.  The Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles have played against each other 27 times throughout the years Womens Ben Gedeon Jersey , dating back to their first matchup in 1962. According to Eagles fans, only one of those games has ever mattered.[Waits for Philly fans to throw full beer cans and scream “THIRTY-EIGHT TO SEVEN!!!!1!!1” a few dozen times]OK, now that we’re done with that, let’s take our weekly look back at the Vikings’ history against their upcoming opponent. As always, the numbers in this story are brought to you by the good folks at Pro Football Reference.Total regular season and playoff games between the Vikings and the Eagles: 27All-time record: Regular season: Vikings, 13-10. Playoffs: Eagles, 4-0.Total Vikings points scored, head-to-head: 594 (22.0 points/game)Total Eagles points scored, head-to-head: 650 (24.1 points/game)Longest Vikings winning streak vs Eagles: 7, their first seven meetings from 28 Oct 1962 to 3 Dec 1978Longest Eagles winning streak vs Vikings: 5, from 11 November 2001 to 4 January 2009Most recent Vikings road win in series: 28 December 2010 (final score 24-14 http://www.vikingsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-mike-remmers-jersey , the infamous Tuesday night game)Most recent Eagles home win in series: 21 January 2018 (final score SHUT UP)Biggest Vikings road win in series: 21 points, 15 December 1963 (final score 34-13)Biggest Eagles home win in series: 31 points, twice (48-17 on 11 November 2001 and...SHUT UP)Current streak: Eagles, 2 winsObviously, the Vikings can’t do anything on Sunday that will make up for the thrashing they took in last year’s NFC Championship Game. Even if they win by a score of 38-7 or better, it’s a regular season game and the Eagles already have their shiny new Super Bowl rings. What the Vikings can do is try to find the wheels that fell off of their defense last January and haven’t been put back on yet. The Los Angeles Rams will likely expose a lot of defenses throughout the course of the season, but the way they out-schemed the Vikings in every way on that side of the ball was uncharacteristic of what we’re used to seeing from a Mike Zimmer-coached defense. The offense looked much better last week, but Minnesota is still dead last in rushing and pressures allowed through four weeks. The Vikings need to clean things up in a hurry. Meanwhile, the defending champs are coming off a disappointing loss of their own. They squandered a two touchdown lead on the road to the Tennessee Titans, allowing three straight fourth down conversions in the game-clinching overtime touchdown drive. Most of the key pieces have returned for a shot at a repeat in Philadelphia. However, throughout the preseason and through the first four weeks of the regular season Cheap Anthony Barr Jersey , this doesn’t look like the Eagles team that rampaged their way to a title eight months ago. While the Vikings dominated this series early on, winning the first seven matchups, the Eagles have seven of the past nine between the two teams. Both of the Vikings wins during that stretch were rather unexpected. In the aforementioned Tuesday night game, Joe Webb and the 5-9 Vikings upset the 10-4 Eagles that were favored by 14.5 points at kickoff. Philadelphia was favored by seven points in 2013 when Matt Asiata had the hilarious stat line of 30 rushes, 51 yards, and 3 touchdowns in a 48-30 Vikings win.The most recent regular season game between the Vikings and Eagles wasn’t the most aesthetically pleasing contest. In Week 7 of 2016, each team turned the ball over four times. Despite putting up paltry offensive numbers, Carson Wentz and the Eagles won 21-10 thanks in large part to six sacks of Sam Bradford. It was the first loss of the season for the Vikings, who would stumble to a 3-8 finish after starting 5-0. That’s a brief look at some of the history between the Vikings and the Eagles as we prepare for Sunday’s game in Philly. We’ll have more for you as we get closer to kickoff.Don't Sleep on Vikings OL Josh Andrews When Josh Andrews was picked up by the Vikings during the off-season, there wasn’t much fanfare. Great- a second-rate, backup Cheap Adam Thielen Jersey , practice squad, free-agent offensive lineman - big deal.Andrews came from Philadelphia, so presumably new Vikings offense coordinator John DeFilippo must have liked what he saw in Andrews while he was there.Andrews, 27, was a backup center/guard in Philadelphia during his four years there - half of which were spent on the practice squad - including last season. All that doesn’t suggest much - on and off practice squad, only played in a couple games, never won a starting job.The big hurdle for Andrews was that he was playing behind Jason Kelce, who went to two Pro-Bowls and was a first-team All-Pro in three of Andrews’ four years with the Eagles. At left guard, where Andrews played at Oregon State, there was less formidable competition after Evan Mathis left, but Allen Barbre and Stefan Wisniewski were the preferred veterans and played well for Eagles. That left Andrews with a Super Bowl ring but not much of a starting opportunity in Philly.Minnesota http://www.vikingscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-trae-waynes-jersey , by contrast, is the land of opportunity when it comes to the offensive line.I’m not sure how many offensive linemen have started for the Vikings over the past few years - but I’m gonna guess more than 20.And with Nick Easton on IR and Pat Elflein on the PUP list, a guy who can play both guard and center should have a decent opportunity.Especially as the only guy with any substantial playing experience vying for the left guard position is Tom Compton. So What Does Josh Andrews Bring to the Table?Andrews is 6’2”, 311 lbs. and as you can see a little from the picture, built like a tank - but also good athleticism.Against Denver Andrews played 40 snaps at center and 7 at left guard (at end of game) and was the highest graded offensive linemen for the Vikings according to Pro Football Focus (PFF).His grade for the Denver game is very representative of his career pre-season grade - low 80s (good) in pass protection and low-mid 70s (average) in run blocking. From what I can infer, his run blocking grade at left guard is a little better than at center over his career. Those grades are very competitive compared to his competition at left guard and center.Andrews also did well enough in preseason to beat out a former 3rd round pick for a roster spot in 2015.Andrews himself was undrafted in 2014.So, the Vikings and new OL coaches Andrew Janocko and Clancy Barone have something to work with in Josh Andrews, who showed well against the Broncos. It may be worthwhile for the Vikings to give Andrews some first/second team reps at left guard against the Jaguars - both in practices and in the pre-season game - to see how he does there before taking over at center for Edison.

The New England Patriots lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 2, but I don’t think any Patriots fans actually care about the game anymore.  The Patriots don’t look very good right now. And unsurprisingly http://www.authenticsnewenglandpatriots.com/cheap-eric-rowe-jersey , folks everywhere seem to have plenty to say about it.The problem with these September takes is that, correct or incorrect, they get buried under the next four months of football and by the time December and January rolls around, the NFL is such a completely different place that nobody has the time or energy to go back and see what people thought as the season was kicking off. In that respect, anybody can more or less say anything they want, overlook the times they were completely wrong, and only focus on the times when they got it right.Which is the point of this article. My hope is for everyone who has a strong opinion on the state of the 2018 Patriots, one way or another, to express that opinion in the comments below. Tell us why the 2018 team is NOTHING like the 2003 Youth Dont'a Hightower Jersey , 2004, 2018, and 2016 teams that all took a few beatdowns on the way to Super Bowl glory. Tell us why we have absolutely nothing to worry about. Lament the end of the dynasty. Acknowledge the small bump in the road. We all have an opinion on the way things are going and what the future holds, and we haven’t been shy expressing those opinions on other articles and forums, so I’d like to see if I can get them all here and revisit them at season’s end. Obviously, nobody knows what the next 13 weeks holds, and at the end of the day getting called out for being wrong (or praised for being right) isn’t going to move the needle at all in the grand scheme of things. I just thought it might be a good exercise, for those of you who tend to live very much in the moment, to see how much can change - or not change - between now and the end of the season.Just to reiterate:by commenting on this article Youth Joe Thuney Jersey , you hereby give your permission to have that comment posted in an article I will put up at the end of the season in which I see who was right and who was wrong. If you were correct, you’ll be acknowledged for it. If you were way off, be willing to face the music.Opposing fans welcome as well - just be ready for the potential consequences of accountability.Watch the epilogue of the “Tom vs Time” documentary on Patriots quarterback Tom Brady In January, it has been reported that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be the subject of a documentary that will give an intimate behind-the-scenes look at the NFL’s biggest star – one that is coincidentally the face of the league’s most seclusive franchise: The series Tom vs Time chronicled Brady’s fight against football mortality in six episodes. The first five of those episodes premiered over the course of the two weeks leading up to Super Bowl LII, with another one airing a month after New England’s 41-33 loss on the game’s biggest stage. However, the series finale turned out to not be the last episode of the series: an epilogue was announced yesterday and went online earlier today. The epilogue – titled The Next Game – shows a reflective Brady talking about the drama that was created by some members of the media surrounding his absence during voluntary workout. It also shows a player looking forward to the challenges ahead, one far from done. You can watch the episode above or by following this link, and the previous ones here:

^A great way to approach life Womens David Andrews Jersey , and also a decent mid-2000s emo record when that was still a thing.Living well is Stephon Gilmore to a T these days, which, as anyone who’s ever left a job on “less than favorable” terms can tell you, is the best part of moving on to begin with. Better team, more money, and the chance to blast your now-decidedly-former friends and employer into the earth’s crust. What else could you want?If you’re keeping score at home, Gilmore’s been up to Buffalo twice since signing his $65,000,000 deal with the Patriots in the 2017 offseason, and both times, he’s been a Richard-Sherman-sized island on defense when the Bills offense dared to test him.Which, for some reason that only makes sense if you’re the Bills, seems to be often.Last year, in Stephon’s homecoming/revenge game, depending on how you look at it (the notably chill Gilmore would probably prefer neither), Buffalo threw in his general direction 6 times, and the Gilly Lock allowed only 2 completions for 22 yards and slapped a couple passes away for a pair of pass breakups.Like this one, where, back to the “only in Buffalo” thing, they decide to throw a 50/50 ball up to Zay Jones in red zone territory, and it went about as well as dribbling down the court for a layup like “Huh, I sure hope LeBron’s not behind me”:It’s such a fine line between “If at first you don’t succeed...” and “The definition of insanity is...”, right?Like we said Authentic Lawrence Guy Jersey , the man allowed 2 completions for 22 yards all game and all he had to say afterwards was:That’s a perfect Patriot right there, kids. That game turned out 23-3 in Orchard Park, NY, and funny enough, Monday Night’s slogfest that felt for a while like watching 2 kids learning how to drive stick-shift ended up basically the same way in Buffalo - a final score of 25-6, and Stephon Gilmore doing Stephon Gilmore things.Which not only means balling at a Pro Bowl level (we’ll get to that in a sec), but also making Sportscenter plays (that’s still on, right) where whoever he was covering ended up with the unfortunate distinction of being the other guy in the clip:Gilmore’s final stat line: 2 receptions allowed on 7 targets, 45 yards allowed, and 2 pass breakups. He also played 100% of the team’s defensive snaps. NO DAYS/PLAYS OFF.Does life get better? It does! From the lovely little email Pro Football Focus dropped me this morning:Hang on a sec. ENHANCE:For the season, Gilmore now is at an overall grade of 84.3, which ranks 4th of all cornerbacks.ENHANCE!For the season, Gilmore now is at an overall grade of 84.3, which ranks 4th of all cornerbacks.ONE MORE TIME FOR THE HUNG OVER AFTER HALLOWEEN CROWD:For the season, Gilmore now is at an overall grade of 84.3, which ranks 4th OF ALL CORNERBACKS.Even though it’s well-documented that, contrary to popular bar wisdom, you don’t need a shutdown corner to win a Super Bowl, hey, with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers coming to town on Sunday night, what a time to have a corner to put wideouts on an island, right?Especially when Rodgers tends to treat those corners like a dentist’s appointment the day after Halloween. In other words, that’s a big NOPE.Get to know the three newest members of the Patriots’ offense Yesterday was a busy day in Foxboro. First Authentic Shaq Mason Jersey , the New England Patriots and starting right guard Shaq Mason agreed to a five-year, $50 million contract extension. Then, the team saw running back Sony Michel and right tackle Marcus Cannon return to practice. And finally, three new players were brought on board to fill the three vacant spots on the team. Let’s take a closer look at the trio.RB Kenneth FarrowAfter a productive career at Houston, Kenneth Farrow went undrafted in 2016. The then-San Diego Chargers picked him up as a free agent, and he was able to make the team as a reserve back. Injuries pushed Farrow up the depth chart and led to the versatile back appearing in 13 of the Chargers’ games during his rookie year. Before seeing his season end with a shoulder injury in December, he amassed 73 touches for 262 yards. The 5’9, 220 lbs back was unable to bounce back from the injury in 2017 spent all of it on injured reserve as well. In April, the Chargers elected to release Farrow.WR K.J. MayeK.J. Maye also went unselected during the 2016 NFL draft and was picked up by the New York Giants as a free agent. However, he was unable to stick with the team and was on the open market from August to December 2016, when the Tennessee Titans added him to their practice squad. The Titans ultimately signed the 5’8, 190 lbs wideout to a futures contract after his rookie year, but decided to waive him shortly afterwards – paving his way to joining the Patriots for the first time. Maye spent 2017’s training camp with the defending world champions but failed to make the roster and subsequently spent the entire season out of football. Now, he is back in Foxboro.RB Khalfani MuhammadAs opposed to Farrow and Maye, Khalfani Muhammad heard his name called on draft day: he was picked by the Tennessee Titans in the seventh round last year. The Cal product started his rookie season on the Titans’ practice squad before getting promoted to their active roster in late December. The 5’7, 175 lbs running back did not see any in-game action, though, and was released during the offseason. Muhammad remained on the open market since April, and now joins New England’s backfield.Considering their past production and that they joined the Patriots this late during the process, none of the three players should be expected to make New England’s 53-man roster or even their practice squad. However, they offer depth at crucial positions heading into the final week of the preseason and could potentially turn into emergency in-season call-ups in case of injury.

Few teams have bolstered one position way Broncos beefed up receiving corps with additions of draft picks Sutton and Hamilton and emergence of Tim Patrick (undrafted, Utah 2017), another tall, thick receiver.Weaknesses: "No Fly Zone" defense is down two founding members with Talib's trade to Rams and T.J. Ward's release last year. Lost Carter to season-ending hamstring injury in preseason. CB Bradley Roby now full-time starter next to Chris Harris Jr. But secondary banged up all summer, especially with Cravens (knee) out, crimping chemistry. With injuries to DBs Womens Russell Okung Jersey , linebackers continued trend of allowing tight ends to make big plays in preseason.Fantasy Players to Watch: WR Emmanuel Sanders has regained speed and enthusiasm after hobbling through 2017 with ankle injury. Sanders credits energy boost on Keenum's arrival. He and Demaryius Thomas also pushed by rookies Sutton and Hamilton. Expect Freeman to get bulk of handoffs in backfield.Vegas Says: Super Bowl 50-1. Over/under wins 7.5.Expectations: Broncos are out to avoid first back-to-back losing seasons since 1971-72 and end two-year playoff drought. GM John Elway gave roster injection of talented, mature rookies as all 10 draft picks plus Lindsay spent four years in college and have been captains. That's departure from previous classes long on athleticism but short on experience. Keenum will need season like last year's in Minnesota and his O-line will have to keep him clean for team to get leads and allow Denver's pass rushers to do their thing. The Los Angeles Chargers' offense was stuck in neutral for the first 25 minutes of Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders. A broken play provided the needed spark. The game was tied 3-3 until Austin Ekeler took Philip Rivers' swing pass and turned into a 44-yard touchdown . That was part of 19 straight points by the Chargers en route to their 26-10 victory over the Raiders."We were doing OK. We weren't playing great but that kind of sparked it," said Rivers, who threw for 339 yards and two touchdowns. "We got another stop and then punched it in. I felt then we were in control the rest of the way."Rivers bobbled the shotgun snap on the first-and-10 play, but quickly corralled it and got it to Ekeler while three Oakland players were blitzing. The second-year running back eluded two Raiders at the 40 and then got a good block from Keenan Allen up the left sideline to score his third touchdown of the season with 4:04 remaining in the second quarter."I just saw the pressure coming off the edge. And it was a hot call, so it was coming to me right away," Ekeler said. "I just ended up catching the ball and looking downfield from there."The Ekeler touchdown was one of four plays of 25 yards or more for the Chargers (3-2), who are third in the league with 29 plays of 20 yards or more; the Rams and Chiefs each have 30.All of that added up to Rivers' 59th 300-yard passing game of his 15-year career and his eighth against the Raiders. He completed 22 of 27 passes and had a passer rating of 143.4.Melvin Gordon had 120 yards from scrimmage (58 rushing, 62 receiving). His 1-yard run during the second quarter gave Los Angeles (3-2) a 17-3 lead at halftime. The scoring drive started after Jahleel Addae recovered a Martavis Bryant fumble at the Raiders 45.The Chargers' defense had three sacks and forced two turnovers which resulted in 13 points. Oakland's Marshawn Lynch came into the game fourth in the league in rushing but was held to 31 yards on nine carries."It's an energy game, man, and you got good energy built all around you, that's what it is all about," Gordon said. "We got to feel off that. That's how we become a great team."Derek Carr was 24 of 33 for 268 yards for the Raiders (1-4). He accounted for Oakland's lone touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard pass to Jordy Nelson which brought the Raiders within 26-10.He also had a costly interception in the end zone to Melvin Ingram during the third quarter. The Chargers turned that into a 96-yard, eight-play drive that was capped with Rivers' 13-yard TD pass to Virgil Green early in the fourth period."We had bad plays today http://www.chargersfootballauthentics.com/philip-rivers-jersey-authentic ," Raiders coach Jon Gruden said. "I think we pressed a little bit. The play calling needs to improve. That's my job. We've got to play better collectively than we did today."HOME SWEET HOME?The crowd at StubHub Center was predominantly Raiders fans, but it didn't matter to the Chargers, who have won seven of their last eight at their temporary home until the new stadium at Inglewood opens in 2020.In order to silence their "home" crowd, the Chargers did take the ball on offense after they won the coin toss. They turned that into a seven-play drive and a 49-yard field goal by Caleb Sturgis.TWO FIRSTS FOR INGRAMIngram's third-quarter interception was his first in 82 regular-season games. He did have an interception in the 2013 playoffs against Cincinnati. The seventh-year defensive end also got his first NFL carry in the second quarter on second-and-goal from the Oakland 1 but was stopped for no gain."I touch the ball all the time in practice. It was just fun," Ingram said. "Being in the offensive huddle it felt like I was at home."NEW HOLDER, SAME RESULTThe Chargers signed punter Donnie Jones to be the new holder for Sturgis, but Sturgis still missed an extra point.Sturgis' PAT attempt after the Green touchdown bounced off the upright for his fourth miss of the season and third in the past two games. The sixth-year kicker has missed four extra points this season, equaling the amount he had over three seasons in Philadelphia from 2015-17.Sturgis was also 2 of 3 on field goals. His 48-yard attempt on the last play of the first half was on line until it veered wide left at the last moment."The extra point did bother me a little bit, but we'll figure out what happened there," Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said. "He's been kicking with a lot of confidence, so I'm not concerned about it."UP NEXTRaiders: face Seahawks next Sunday in London.Chargers: at Browns next Sunday.Follow Joe Reedy at joereedy

They've been painful, lopsided, comical, heartbreaking, head-scratching and last-second.Jarvis Landry described Sunday's defeat differently."An eye-opener," the receiver said. After being so competitive through their first five games, Cleveland was simply overmatched by the Los Angeles Chargers, who rushed for 246 yards, contained and confused rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield and wrecked a picture-perfect day near Lake Erie for Browns fans hoping to see their team win two straight home games for the first time in four years.Instead, they watched the Browns (2-3-1) get pounded."They got after us," said Landry, adding he left FirstEnergy Stadium without speaking to reporters following the game because he was frustrated. "Truthfully, it really wasn't nothing to be said. I think it was evident. They came in, and they were the better team."Better by far.The Chargers took it to the Browns http://www.chargersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-brandon-mebane-jersey , who were coming off an emotional overtime win against Baltimore, a victory that altered the national narrative about Cleveland's season. But just when the Browns turned trendy, they got knocked back."I hate to say that we needed it, but it's something that we needed to happen to us," said Landry, who then backtracked, saying he meant the Browns got tested and failed."I didn't really mean like we NEEDED it," he said with emphasis. "Obviously, I want to win, that's what I really meant."What the Browns do need is help, especially to replenish a wide receivers group that has been drained by departures and injuries. On Sunday, veteran receiver Rod Streater suffered a neck fracture while covering a punt in the first quarter and is done for the season. Streater was set to play more while Rashard Higgins (knee) and Derrick Willies (collarbone) recover from injuries. Willies underwent surgery on Monday to fix his broken collarbone and isn't expected back until late in the season. In the meantime, the Browns are severely lacking in experience with Landry playing alongside rookies Antonio Callaway and Damion Ratley, both of whom failed to make TD catches on well-thrown balls by Mayfield on Sunday. The Browns signed free agent Breshad Perriman, a former first-round pick with Baltimore, on Saturday and the team will try to get him up to speed in time for this week's game at Tampa Bay.Coach Hue Jackson said general manager John Dorsey will continue to look outside the team for help, but that it may have to come from within."We are not going to make excuses Tyrell Williams Jersey ," he said. "We have to coach well. We have to put them into the best situations."We have to help everybody on this team offensively, defensively and on special teams to be as good as we can because nobody else cares about what is going on in Cleveland as far as what players are playing, our injuries or anything like that."It does not matter. We will find a way."One way would be to get Mayfield and Landry in sync.Landry, who has caught more passes in his first five seasons than any player in NFL history, had just two for 11 yards against the Chargers. Mayfield targeted Landry nine times, but the pair is still learning to play together — and the Browns don't have the luxury of time.Landry admitted being frustrated by his lack of production, but said Cleveland's receivers need to do more for Mayfield."We have to do a better job of helping him out in situations and making one-on-one contested catches," he said."Or when he gets out of the pocket and he's throwing on the run, we have to find ways to get ourselves free from DBs and the coverage to be able to make plays."Cleveland's receiving group looks different than earlier this season, weakened by Josh Gordon's trade to New England. Landry has been double-teamed as defenses focus on stopping him. It's time for the Browns' youngsters to grow up."We trust these guys," Landry said of Callaway and Ratley, who had six catches for 82 yards. "We count on them each week to make plays for us and we give them opportunities in clutch moments, and it's really not about young guys any more. That part is over and everybody has to play at a veteran level if we want to go to where we're headed to."NOTES: Pro Bowl LB Joe Schobert could miss several games with a hamstring injury suffered Sunday. Jackson said Christian Kirksey could move from outside into Schobert's inside spot. ... Jackson said Mayfield is fine after tweaking an ankle when he slipped on the sideline. ... C JC Tretter could miss some practice time after hurting his left ankle on Sunday. ... Jackson said rookie RB Nick Chubb needs more carries. He gained 25 yards on three attempts Sunday. "We need to get more. There is nothing else to say," Jackson said.

To those on the outside of the Chargers organization/fan base http://www.authenticlosangeleschargers.com/cheap-joe-barksdale-jersey , Keenan Allen was starting to be viewed as a potential bust who just couldn’t seem to shake the injury bug. In fact, up until this past season, Allen had never stayed healthy through an entire 16-game season. This was a completely valid thought-process as the talented wide receiver sustained back-to-back season-ending injuries in 2015 and ‘16. It also didn’t help the receiver’s outlook when you take into account just how devastating the injuries were.During the team’s contest against the Baltimore Ravens during the 2015 season, Allen came down hard after snagging a beautiful touchdown pass in the corner of the endzone. As the team and fans celebrated, the smiles and cheers quickly turned into faces of disbelief. Allen was taken off the field and soon diagnosed with a lacerated kidney.A what now?It was, by far, the flukiest injury I have ever witnessed on the field. It was so fluky that even the ACL tear he sustained against the Chiefs to begin the 2016 season seem fairly run-of-the-mill. But still, after the absolutely horrendous stretch of bad luck, The Slayer came into this past season with unabashed confidence. What we witnessed was a historic season for not only a Chargers wide receiver, but for the entire NFL.According to Pro Football Focus, Allen had the second and third-highest single game grades for a wide receiver this past season. His phenomenal performances were actually one after the other during weeks 11 and 12 Color Rush Joey Bosa Jersey , against the Bills and Cowboys, respectively.Against the Bills, Allen exploded for 159 yards on a season-high 12 catches, double-dipping in the endzone for good measure. He was graded out at a 95.9, just behind Julio Jones’ 99.9 grade from his thrashing of the Buccaneers in Week 12.On Thanksgiving Day, Allen stuffed the stat sheet once more. In Jerryworld, Allen hauled in 11 catches for a career-high 172 yards and one beautiful catch-and-run touchdown. After baring witness to what Allen can produce during a full season of health, Charger fans and the rest of the NFL have no more excuses to not think highly of the the fifth-year wide receiver. If Allen were to have a similar, if not better, season in 2018, it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to argue that #13 deserves to be in the top-tier of NFL wide receivers. What If Ryan Leaf Had Stayed Healthy? The SB Nation NFL team sites are continuing to do Theme Weeks after starting the trend during the 2017 season. This week’s theme is: “What if?”Ask any San Diego Chargers fan (I’ll get to you Color Rush Keenan Allen Jersey , L.A.) what the biggest mistake in franchise history was and you’re bound to hear the same answer 100% of the time: Ryan LeafWith the #2 overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft, the Chargers selected QB Ryan Leaf from Washington State. You could hear a million arguments at the time of why the Indianapolis Colts should, and should not, draft Peyton Manning with the #1 pick. Many thought Ryan Leaf had a better future because he had a better arm. Leaf, who wanted to follow in the footsteps of Dan Fouts, had made his mind up. He worked with his agent to anger Colts Head Coach Jim Mora Sr. and worked behind the scenes to let the Chargers know that he was doing so to ensure he could be the next Chargers QB. He may have been the 2nd pick in the draft, but Ryan ended up with his #1 choice.Read here about how Leaf was not what you would call a “draft bust” early in his career. In fact, it wasn’t until he faced a serious shoulder injury followed by a serious wrist injury that things really went sideways for the former Cougar. Why is that important? After three years, Leaf’s body was so beat up that he couldn’t throw a football. A real shame for a guy who some still talk about having one of the biggest arms in college football history. A real shame for a guy that wanted to come to the Chargers so that he could show off that arm with big passes and big plays down the field. That 1-15 record, the one that sunk Mike Riley’s career as an NFL head coach, was a direct result of an injured QB and a misdiagnosis at the hands of a reckless team doctor. It was also the end of Leaf’s time in San Diego. What if things had gone differently? The most notable difference for the Chargers Youth Russell Okung Jersey , had Leaf stayed healthy, is not that they potentially have their franchise QB. That’s a minor blip...(Also, here is where I point out that it’s really difficult to predict Leaf could’ve been playing in Pro Bowls when the guy could barely crack 50% completion percentage in a league that was amping up the importance of exactly that skill/stat.)Leaf’s injuries lead to the 1-15 season that changed the team’s course forever. It led to the firing of the front office and coaching staff, replacing them with John Butler (and A.J. Smith) from Buffalo and famed Chiefs/Browns coach Marty Schottenheimer. It also leads to the team trading away the #1 overall pick and getting back a package that helped them build a core of:LaDainian TomlinsonDrew BreesReche CaldwellTim DwightThat’s two Hall of Famers and two very good NFL players that probably never play a down for the Chargers if Leaf stays healthy and is at least a league-average QB through his early 20s, which is/was entirely possible. If you’re the type to look for silver linings, as I am, don’t think of Ryan Leaf as the failed draft pick. Think of Ryan Leaf as exactly the type of player the Chargers needed to end up drafting two Hall of Fame players in the same draft class and be thankful that things turned out the way they did. What do you think would have happened? Did things turn out better or worse than they would have?

Josh Norman in the least that he was called out for wanting to be a celebrity. Indeed New Orleans Saints Hats , Norman embraced the critique from a past teammate."I've been 'Hollywood,'" Norman said after the team's walkthrough Wednesday. "Ever since I came out of my mama's womb, I've been 'Hollywood.'"Norman was reacting to comments by former Redskins defensive back DeAngelo Hall during a radio interview with 106.7 The Fan on Tuesday."Josh is, I think, in love with being a celebrity right now and not necessarily being a football player," said Hall, who retired before this season. "Josh needs to refocus."Norman has been a contestant on "Dancing With the Stars," appeared on as an NFL analyst on Fox Sports and spent time recently working on a new television project."I'm totally different from people. And if I'm different and if I feel like I want to do something New Orleans Saints Womens Hoodie , I'm going to do that. If you call that 'Hollywood,' so be it," Norman said. "Guess what? I'll get my check from Hollywood. And I'll come back and I'll play ball. That's just what we do."In Washington's 43-19 loss to Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints on Monday night, Norman was benched at the start of the second half by coach Jay Gruden. The next day, Hall was critical of Norman's play and said that "Josh probably wasn't the best fit" for the Redskins defense. While the celebrity-related barb was brushed aside by Norman, he seemed more upset about the idea that it was Hall who was speaking about him that way."I mean, I looked up to D-Hall. I really do. I still do. I mean his kids looked up to me and I looked up to him," Norman said."I'm a hot button Womens Customized New Orleans Saints Jerseys ," he added. "If you're going to press it, you're going to get something out of it." We’re already in Week 5 in the NFL, as the second quarter of the season starts for the majority of the clubs. The Buccaneers and Bears are on a bye week, and obviously we await the Monday Night Football matchup between the Saints and Redskins. We have eight early kickoffs that await us.Tennessee Titans (3-1) at Buffalo Bills (1-3)New York Giants (1-3) at Carolina Panthers (2-1)Miami Dolphins (3-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (3-1)Baltimore Ravens (3-1) at Cleveland Browns (1-2-1)Green Bay Packers (2-1-1) at Detroit Lions (1-3)Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1) at Kansas City Chiefs (4-0)Denver Broncos (2-2) at New York Jets (1-3)Atlanta Falcons (1-3) at Pittsburgh Steelers (1-2-1)Obviously, we’ll be paying close attention to the Falcons and Panthers because of NFC South reasons. Could Atlanta really sink to 1-4? However, the early game of the day would be the Jaguars and Chiefs, with the Dolphins and Bengals deserving an honorable mention.
