Again.

Free agent Chandler Catanzaro becomes the latest kicker to get an opportunity to stop a seemingly never-ending carousel of potential solutions, finalizing a three-year, $9.75 million contract on Friday.

The Bucs also formally announced the signing of veteran defensive lineman Mitch Unrein, who got a three-year, $10.5 million deal after spending most of the past three seasons with the Chicago Bears.

Catanzaro, meanwhile Chase Edmonds Jersey Elite , has also kicked for the Arizona Cardinals and New York Jets during a four-year career. He’s converted 84.4 percent of his field goal attempts. Since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2014, he ranks eighth in the league with 103 made field goals and seventh with 461 points scored.

The Bucs have been searching for some stability at the position since 2013. The team has used six different kickers over the past five seasons, including second-round draft pick Roberto Aguayo in 2016 and Nick Folk and Patrick Murray a year ago.

The hope is the strong-legged Catanzaro not only will be dependable on field goals and extra points, but improve the team’s kickoffs as well. The 27-year-old had a 67.2 touchback percentage on kickoffs with the Jets Cody Latimer Super Bowl LI Jersey , seventh-best in the NFL.

The fifth-year pro made 25 of 30 field goals and was 29 of 29 on extra points in 2017.

Since Connor Barth handled Tampa Bay’s place-kicking duties from 2009 to 2012, the Bucs haven’t had a player hold the job for consecutive seasons.

Murray served separate stints in 2014 and 2017, and Barth returned for a second stint in 2015 before general manager Jason Licht surprisingly traded up to select Aguayo in the second round of the 2016 draft.

Folk was signed in free agency last winter to replace an inconsistent Aguayo. He struggled, too, before spending much of last season on injured reserve. Murray returned for his second stint with mixed results, especially on kickoffs.

Catanzaro said he’s ”definitely aware” of Tampa Bay’s kicking woes Dallas Goedert Super Bowl LI Jersey , but noted: ”I wasn’t here during that time, so I’m looking forward to doing my thing this season.”

”I’m never complacent,” he added. ”I’m always looking to get better.”

Unrein spent four seasons with the Denver Broncos from 2011 to 2014. The following year, he played two games for the San Diego Chargers before being released and signing with the Bears.

In 95 career games, including 24 starts, Unrein has 4 1/2 sacks and one fumble recovery.

CINCINNATI (AP) When Bill Lazor looks at the Bengals’ playbook Kareem Martin Super Bowl LI Jersey , he sees the imprint of three coordinators. He’s getting a chance to try to pull it all together and resurrect the NFL’s least-productive offense – a shocking statistic for a talented unit.

Coach Marvin Lewis’ first big decision after getting another contract extension was offering Lazor the chance to stay as coordinator and give the offense a major overhaul. The Bengals finished last in the league in offense and had the worst running game in their history, averaging only 85 yards.

Andy Dalton and A.J. Green will be back, along with running backs Joe Mixon and Giovani Bernard. The playbook could be noticeably different – Lazor said some things need to be done ”totally differently.”

”There are times when each of us, in order to grow, need to be pushed and need to be made uncomfortable Orlando Brown Jr. Jersey Elite ,” Lazor said. ”Andy wants to be great, so he’ll accept that challenge if we make him uncomfortable at times.”

Dalton has worked with four offensive coordinators during his seven seasons in Cincinnati.

Jay Gruden helped Dalton and Green get grounded as rookies in 2011, the start of five straight postseason appearances and first-round losses. His biggest challenge will be restoring a comfort level on the offense. The Bengals would play well for a few series or a half, then totally collapse and go long stretches without as much as a first down.

Much of the focus will be on the line, which lost left tackle Andrew Whitworth and right guard Kevin Zeitler in free agency a year ago. They were replaced with inexperienced tackles who struggled – the running backs found few holes and Dalton was running to avoid the rush much of the time. Line coach Paul Alexander was let go on Wednesday.

It seems as though everywhere you look on the internet you’ll find an article or video explaining why the Dallas Cowboys won’t find success in 2017. I’ve read all the so-called “reasons”, and I find it to be a bunch of baloney.

Let’s start with Heath Evans from NFL Network. Heath thinks the Dallas Cowboys are going to go 8-8. Then we’ve got ESPN’s pundits, Louis Riddick and Jerome Bettis, who seemed very happy to predict a 9-7 season.

And don’t even get me started on Stephen A. Smith. For a man who makes his living hating on the Cowboys, he upped his ante this team. Even going as far as to suggest that Dallas would deflate footballs to prevent Ezekiel Elliott from fumbling.

I mean Wholesale Jordan Akins Jersey , come on. It’s the Dallas Cowboys — not Tom Brady.

Cheap shots at Brady aside, the Cowboys are getting some very unfair treatment from most of the “experts” on TV. Coming off a 13-3 season, the best record in the NFC, you’d think the football world would have some confidence in the them.

The Dallas Cowboys have so much going for them heading into 2017. Dak Prescott will be entering his second year in the NFL, after being named AP Offensive Rookie of the Year last season. In fact, the offensive depth shouldn’t change at all with the exception of left guard.

In fact, you’d have to go all the way back to 2014 to find a game between these clubs that was decided by more than a touchdown.

The strengths of these two teams remain largely unchanged. The Dallas Cowboys bring their dominant run game and superior offense. The Giants flex their mighty defense and imposing defensive line.

However, the G-Men boast a major addition on offense. After signing ex-Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall, the Giants look to have an upgraded aerial attack. Couple that with a Cowboys secondary that saw three starters flee town and you have a recipe for trouble.

But the New York football Giants have an Achilles’ heel of their own. Tennessee hasn’t been to a conference championship game since the 2002 season, but has been invigorated coming off its first playoff win in 14 years.

The Titans enter as 13-point underdog, but linebacker Derrick Morgan said it’s a role they happily embrace .

LeBeau has an NFL-record 45 consecutive seasons as a coach, with Belichick at 43. Yet, with Belichick as head coach, he and LeBeau have faced off in the playoffs only once: the 2004 AFC championship game that New England won in Pittsburgh 41-27.

The respect between the two is mutual.

Garoppolo’s arrival totally transformed a team that began the season with nine straight losses under first-year coach Kyle Shanahan and ended it with five straight wins after Garoppolo took over as starter.

He threw for 1,542 yards during those starts and looked the part of a franchise quarterback the Niners (6-10) hoped they had acquired when they dealt a second-round pick to New England at the trade deadline.

”Obviously, Jimmy came in and he was fabulous Adidas Jamie Benn Jersey ,” Lynch said. ”He was great for us and he made people around him better and I think that’s the mark of a player who has an opportunity to be special is do you make people around you better? He did that.”

Now Garoppolo is eligible for free agency in March, although he won’t hit the open market. If the 49ers can’t reach a long-term deal in the coming weeks, they will use the franchise tag to lock him up for 2018 for about $25 million.

”I like being here,” Garoppolo said. ”I think we had a good thing going at the end of this year. And we’ll see what happens.”

Here are some issues the 49ers will face this offseason:

HISTORIC TURNAROUND: The Niners became just the second team to finish with a losing record despite winning the final five games, joining the 1989 Detroit Lions. FREE AGENCY: The 49ers will be able to spend big in free agency if they choose thanks to more than $110 million projected in salary cap room. Some of the biggest decisions outside of getting a deal done with Garoppolo will be about their own players. Running back Carlos Hyde Authentic Mark Lowe Jersey , safety Eric Reid and center Daniel Kilgore are among the most prominent potential free agents. Hyde and Reid had strong finishes to their season and will likely get offers from other teams if allowed to hit the open market. GET HEALTHY: San Francisco had 23 players end the season on injured reserve, including several the team is counting on to be healthy contributors in 2018. BREAKTHROUGH SEASON: The most impressive free-agent addition last year for the Niners was receiver Marquise Goodwin Wholesale Marquis Haynes Jersey , who exceeded his four-year output in Buffalo in just one season in San Francisco. Not welcome in Pyeongchang next year will be any sign of the Russian Olympic Committee or any member of its sports ministry, which was responsible for what investigators concluded was a top-to-bottom scheme of ”manipulation and cheating” to ensure Russians could dope at the Olympics on their home turf and not get caught.

The IOC punishment did leave room for many Russians to compete under the name ”Olympic Athlete from Russia” or OAR. They would have to pass drug tests to prove they were clean and also did not benefit from the Sochi scheme.

MOSCOW (AP) – Russia’s World Cup can’t avoid the tarnished legacy of Russia’s Winter Olympics.

The doping scandals that have consumed Russian sports for the last three years took another turn as the International Olympic Committee handed a lifetime ban to Vitaly Mutko, the sports minister during the 2014 Sochi Games.

After Sochi, the IOC ruled the host nation operated a doping program and tampered with Russian athletes’ urine samples. Still, Mutko has maintained a prominent role in Russian sports. He is now a deputy prime minister and is in charge of the country’s World Cup preparations as chairman of the local organizing committee for the June tournament.

The IOC commission didn’t directly accuse the Kremlin or Mutko of any wrongdoing for Sochi but found the sports ministry ”has to bear the major part of the administrative responsibility” because it was responsible for overseeing anti-doping measures at the 2014 Olympics. It also found in the case of Mutko’s then deputy minister, Yuri Nagornykh Wholesale Leighton Vander Esch Jersey , that ”it is impossible to conclude that he was not aware of the system in place.”

Kaepernick parted ways with the San Francisco 49ers in March and hasn’t been signed by another team.

He spoke Tuesday about fulfilling Ali’s legacy, saying the boxing great and activist ”mentored me without ever meeting me.”

Less than a year after Willie Taggart inspired the Ducks with his tagline ”Do Something,” Oregon is searching for a new coach.

Oregon’s players were summoned to a meeting at the team’s football complex early for the announcement that Taggart had accepted the coaching job at Florida State.

Senior cornerback Ty Griffin tweeted the words ”He gone” with a smoke puff emoji.

It will be Taggart’s third program in three seasons. He replaces Jimbo Fisher, who took the job at Texas A&M. Taggart was officially coach of the Ducks for 363 days.

Co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Mario Cristobal was named interim coach. The Ducks play Boise State in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 16.

The NFL trade deadline finally featured some big-name buzz.

DENVER (AP) Patrick Mahomes II made both his first NFL start and his first NFL relief appearance a success.

After handing off a two-touchdown lead midway through the fourth quarter in his spectacular NFL debut Authentic Jonathan Villar Jersey , the rookie first-round QB returned to rescue the Kansas City Chiefs , driving them 67 yards in 11 plays to beat Denver 27-24 on Harrison Butker’s 30-yard field goal as time expired.

A person with direct knowledge of the decision confirmed to The Associated Press on Thursday that the Buffalo Bills granted Boldin permission to explore the possibility of being traded to another team.

The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Bills and Boldin have not announced it. ESPN.com first reported the development and posted a copy of the letter of permission the Bills issued to Boldin.

The Bills hold the rights to Boldin after they signed him to a one-year contract on Aug. 7. The 37-year-old player abruptly retired two weeks later by saying he wanted to focus on his charitable causes and social justice issues.

The timing of Boldin’s decision to considering continuing to play comes with the NFL trading deadline set for Tuesday.

Though Boldin has permission to speak to teams, the Bills would have to approve any trade offer.

Messages left with Boldin’s representatives were not returned.

This is a considerable change of heart for Boldin, who dismissed the possibility he might reconsider retiring and choose to play for a contender later in the season.

”Do I feel like I can still play? Of course,” Boldin told Sirius XM NFL Radio a day after he retired. ”My passion for the advocacy work that I do outweighs football at this point, so I’m not coming back to play for a contender or to do anything else. I’m done with the game of football.”

Boldin said he didn’t make his decision to retire overnight and noted it was spurred by the deadly and racially charged protests that occurred in Charlottesville Justin Bethel Jersey Elite , Virginia.

”I think anybody with any sense can see how divided we are as a country, and Charlottesville only magnified what we were already seeing,” Boldin told The AP .

He said he was disturbed by the hateful messages directed at African-Americans, Jewish people and the LGBT community during a rally involving neo-Nazis and other right-wing groups in which a counter-protester was killed and two Virginia state police officers died on Aug. 13.

”There’s not enough money in this world for me to continue to allow the things that are going on to continue to spread,” said Boldin Orlando Brown Jr. Super Bowl LI Jersey , who has two boys. ”I will not feel safe leaving this earth and having my kids have to live in the America that we have today.”

Boldin has been actively involved in numerous causes over the past two months.

Two days ago, Boldin posted a picture on his Twitter account of him attending a meeting in Detroit on the issue of juveniles being sentenced to life without the possibility parole. He has also lobbied state officials in Pennsylvania to pass what’s called the ”Clean Slate Act,” which would allow criminal records for low-level offenses be automatically sealed.

The NFL’s 2015 Walter Payton Man of the Year, Boldin is no stranger to activism and humanitarian causes. He oversees the South Florida-based Q81 Foundation Authentic Rick Leonard Jersey , which offers educational support for underprivileged children.

Boldin was out of football before signing with Buffalo. He spent last season with Detroit, where he had 67 catches for 584 yards and eight touchdowns in 16 games.
