Police responded early Tuesday to the home in Milton, just outside Atlanta, after McCoy's ex-girlfriend Delicia Cordon called 911. The reports from Milton police show that officers had previously been called to the home in July 2017 and in April and June of this year, but no violence was reported during any of those incidents.
In a recording released Thursday of Cordon's 911 call she can be heard describing her alleged attacker to a dispatcher and saying she believed the attack was connected with her ex-boyfriend.
"My face is demolished right now," Cordon said during the call.
A man entered the home around 3 a.m. Tuesday and demanded specific pieces of jewelry that McCoy had given to Cordon and that he had asked her to give back many times, Cordon's lawyer Tanya Mitchell Graham said in an emailed statement Tuesday.
McCoy had often suggested to Cordon that she "could be robbed because the jewelry was expensive," the statement said.
The man tried to take bracelets from her wrist, leaving bruises, and hit her in the face multiple times with a gun, the lawyer said. Cordon's cousin was also hurt when she was hit in the back of the head.
"He just kept asking for jewelry. I think it's got something to do with my ex-boyfriend because my ex-boyfriend and I are," Cordon said before being cut off by the dispatcher asking if she needed medical help.
McCoy Bennie Fowler III Jersey , who turned 30 on Thursday, is preparing to enter his fourth season with the Bills. He spent his first six seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he led the NFL in yards rushing in 2013 before being traded to Buffalo in 2015.
He took to social media Tuesday to deny a wide range of allegations posted earlier in the day by a woman who appeared to be friends with Cordon, accusing him of hurting his former girlfriend. McCoy has since hired prominent Atlanta criminal defense attorney Don Samuel.
Fulton County Magistrate Court records show that McCoy initiated eviction proceedings against Cordon on July 3, 2017, saying that the pair were no longer in a relationship. Court records show two attempts to serve Cordon with the document but no other action.
That evening, police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at the home, according to a police report. Cordon wasn't there when officers got there, but they spoke to McCoy, who told them he and Cordon had broken up and had been having issues.
Cordon had had been accusing him of cheating on her and had posted on social media about that and their breakup, McCoy told police. He also said Cordon had failed to return jewelry lent to them by jewelers for events despite multiple requests.
He told police he had started eviction proceedings against Cordon and was trying "to be very careful about being around her given the climate of domestic abuse in his profession." He told police he would bring Cordon's things http://www.dallascowboysteamonline.com/leighton-vander-esch-jersey , which were piled on the driveway, back inside.
Cordon came home while police were there and also told officers the relationship was over. She said she had nowhere else to go and would be staying at the home.
Shortly before midnight April 11, police again responded to a domestic dispute at the home. Dispatchers reported that "the callers had everything worked out, but it sounded a little heated over the phone," a police report says.
McCoy and Cordon separately told an officer they had worked everything out and the argument hadn't been physical. Cordon told the officer she had called because McCoy was moving some furniture out of the house that she wanted to keep.
Cordon called police from Virginia on June 1 to say she saw people removing things from the home through security cameras that she could monitor on her cellphone, a police report says. McCoy was also out of town.
When police arrived, they spoke to McCoy's mother who said her son was moving out and had asked her to get his stuff so he wouldn't have to deal with Cordon, the report says. She said McCoy had said Cordon could stay in the house until it sold since she had two small children, but that he wanted his things.
Police said any disputes over belongings would have to be resolved in court, and movers left with just McCoy's clothing and shoes, the report says.
McCoy's friend Eric Kush Jersey , Tamarcus Porter, filed eviction proceedings against Cordon on McCoy's behalf on June 6. In a court filing challenging the eviction proceedings, Cordon's attorney said Cordon and McCoy had discussed marriage over Memorial Day weekend and that McCoy gave Cordon "a substantial gift" on May 29.
A hearing on the eviction proceedings is planned for a later date.
The Buccaneers’ effort to re-shape their defensive line included a surprise trade for defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul. And then the Bucs got a surprise when JPP decided to not show up for the team’s non-mandatory OTA sessions.
“When JPP first told me he wasn’t going to be at the first part of OTAs, he said, ‘Coach, I’ve been doing this a long time; there’s only so many things a defensive end has to do,'” Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter recently said, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Pierre-Paul then showed up for the team’s mandatory minicamp, and he showed everyone what he can do.
“I think he’s done a good job,” Koetter said of Pierre-Paul. “You can tell. We all know who he is from afar but when he gets here, he’s a big man and he’s long http://www.chicagobearsteamonline.com/brian-urlacher-jersey , 280 pounds. He plays the run a lot better than people think he does, so he’s going to be fine.”
Pierre-Paul has at times been dominant, even after losing one finger and part of another in a fireworks mishap three years ago. The Giants rewarded him with a long-term deal after the 2016 season, but they shipped the contract to the Buccaneers in a move that raised eyebrows throughout the league. If Pierre-Paul can perform at a high level, the Tampa Bay defense will improve as well (it can’t get much worse than it was last year), and the Buccaneers could be on their way toward finally turning things around.
Adidas Artemi Panarin JerseyFantasy football is supposed to be fun Darrell Green Jersey , but some players stress a lot about their upcoming drafts.
Most notably, they obsess about their first-round pick and who may be available when their turn comes. Don’t play the guessing game — try to figure out who will be picked ahead of you. Let the draft come to you, even at the beginning.
For instance, if you pick eighth, have your top eight players ready and just take the highest ranked one available when it is your turn. The worst case scenario is you get your eighth ranked player and that could turn out to be someone as good as Houston wideout DeAndre Hopkins or Kansas City running back Kareem Hunt.
You must go with the flow of the draft throughout, and not try to heavily speculate how you are going to build your team ahead of time. There is no set sequence for how to assemble your roster in the early rounds and should be prepared to adjust because every draft is different.
That said it makes sense to have a basic shell of a plan. You should fill out your running back and wide receiver positions first. If your league requires you to start two running backs and three wide receivers, you should focus your first five selections on those two positions. Make sure you get two running backs and three wide receivers in the first five rounds because you have to start multiple players at those positions and the depth and quality drops off very quickly.
It may be tempting to go for a quarterback or superstar tight end early, but it’s not recommended when you have to start just one of each in most standard fantasy formats. You should really wait on a QB until at least the sixth round. The position is very deep.
Colts QB Andrew Luck has an Average Draft Position of the seventh round, Detroit’s Matthew Stafford is going in the eighth and Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers is being picked in the ninth round. Stafford and Rivers were the eighth and ninth highest scoring QBs in fantasy last season. You do not need to have Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers or Seattle’s Russell Wilson to win your league.
As for tight ends, only Rob Gronkowski, Travis Kelce and Zach Ertz deserve consideration earlier than the sixth round. Taking any one of those before the fourth round, however, costs you a shot at prime RBs or WRs. If you miss on one of the elite TEs, being prepared and knowing the rest of the field well can lead to a respectable alternative later on.
If your league requires, for instance, two RBs Dan Hampton Jersey , three WRs and a flex starter, plus the QB and TE, you should come out of the first eight rounds with those positions filled. After that, you should start loading up on depth at RB and WR, grabbing quality fantasy reserves and some sleepers.
Leave your defensive unit and your kicker for the final picks. Don’t be that person who takes Jacksonville or Minnesota in the eighth round. You only have to start one defensive unit and defensive performances vary a lot from season to season. You can stream different defenses each week based on units facing weaker offensive opponents. Kicker production can vary wildly from week to week and season to season and there are always viable ones available in free agency during the year.
You can also pass on a backup QB in cases where you have a top star like Wilson or New England’s Tom Brady. You are only going to use the backup once during the season and may be able to grab a decent QB off the waiver wire. It’s also not essential to draft a backup for a top 5 TE selected early.
When planning out your team as the draft progresses, don’t sweat bye weeks and schedules, especially for fantasy playoff weeks. Don’t pass on a player in the middle or later rounds because he has the same bye week as one of your starters. By the time the byes actually roll around, your roster may have changed significantly because of waiver adds and trades. You cannot rigidly plan for bye weeks that occur in say, Weeks 7 or 8 when you are drafting in the summer. There is going to be way too much that changes outlooks and your rosters between now and then.
Don’t look too far down the road at schedules, either. Teams change a lot on defense from year to year and you cannot base too much on last season. We really will not have a firm grip on this season’s true trends until at least the first quarter of the season has concluded.
Focus on building your own roster throughout to grab best players available for filling needs or to get bench upside or depth. Mixing in sometimes unnecessary factors such as bye weeks and schedules only complicates matters. Keep honed in on filling starting spots first and filling out your projected skill position starters. Then load up on reserves and upside guys or sleepers before finishing up with defense and a kicker.
Also, remember to never draft with your heart. Fan allegiances have no place in fantasy football. If Brady is your favorite player, don’t take him in the third round when you have to get a more essential WR or RB. And don’t pass on Carson Wentz in the seventh round if you are a Dallas fan who roots against the Eagles. Rooting for or against someone never affects their fantasy production. Separate your fandom from your fantasy team. Keep in mind that if your favorite team is facing one of your fantasy players, your team can still win its game while your fantasy starter from the opponent scores points.
The other NFL team is usually going to score, so hope it’s your guy when that happens.
For Saints coach Sean Payton and his players, it’s a bit of a stretch to call their return to Minnesota a rematch.Sixteen games have passed since Week 1, when the Saints needed a late La'el Collins Jersey , inconsequential touchdown just to reduce the Vikings’ victory margin to 10 points.
New Orleans has lost numerous players to injuries. Other players have grown into more significant roles. Chemistry developed, and coaches became more adept at playing to the strengths and covering up weaknesses of various players. The result has been a NFC South championship and a victory in the wild-card round of the NFC playoffs.
”There are some similarities in regards to scheme. But when you go through the course of an NFL season and you look at the attrition that takes place, there’s – shoot – eight or nine of our (regulars) that were playing in that game that aren’t playing in this game,” Payton said Monday. ”You begin to take shape as the season progresses as to who you become.”
Seven players listed as starters in Minnesota in Week 1 won’t be playing for New Orleans this weekend. Running back Adrian Peterson was traded after four games. Six others are injured: left guard Andrus Peat; right tackle Zach Strief; defensive end Alex Okafor; linebackers A.J. Klein and Alex Anzalone; and safety Kenny Vaccaro.
In addition, tight end Coby Fleener, a regular in the passing game to start the season, is on injured reserve.
As Payton discussed the most striking aspects of the Saints’ evolution this season, he began by highlighting ”the amount of guys we’ve had to replace and the new faces that are stepping up.”
Payton complimented the way linebackers Craig Robertson and Manti Te’o have handled increased roles. Robertson has two sacks, two interceptions, five tackles for losses, a forced fumble and fumble recovery. Te’o has made or assisted on 62 tacklers, including seven for losses, and has a fumble recovery.
Payton also named tight end Josh Hill, guard Senio Kelemete, cornerback P.J. Williams and fullback Zach Line in a similar vein. Hill had a touchdown and key first-down catches in New Orleans’ playoff triumph over Carolina. Kelemete, pressed into service often this season because of injuries Youth Fabian Moreau Jersey , filled in at guard after Peat fractured his fibula against the Panthers.
Williams, a third-year pro who missed nearly all of his first two seasons with separate injuries, has two interceptions this season and saw increasing playing time in five-defensive-back formations because of Vaccaro’s injuries.
Line, who scored a short TD against Carolina, wasn’t on the regular-season roster until Oct. 4.
The contributions from such players have been ”the most encouraging thing,” Payton said, adding that ”the resiliency and the fight” of his team ”is something that’s great to be around.”
New Orleans’ defense, in particular, has played much better since the Minnesota loss, when the Saints gave up 470 yards and allowed the Vikings to convert nine of 14 third downs.
”We’ve been playing together for a while now, so we kind of know the strengths and the weaknesses of the guys. We know how to play together, we know where people are going to be and so we’re a lot more confident,” Te’o said. ”Week 1, we were a relatively young team as far as experience goes and as far as time together.”
Now, Te’o said, ”We kind of know who we are and what we can do and what our strengths are … and also what things we need to work on.”
Offensively Dorance Armstrong Jr. Jersey , the Saints have evolved as well, particularly with the emergence of versatile running back Alvin Kamara, who put up regular-season numbers (728 yards and eight TDs rushing, 826 yards and five TDs receiving and a kickoff return TD) worthy of rookie-of-the-year consideration. His immediate comfort with Payton’s scheme precipitated Peterson’s trade to Arizona.
Meanwhile, receiver Ted Ginn, known primarily as a deep threat before the Saints acquired him in the offseason, demonstrated enough chemistry with quarterback Drew Brees as the season progressed to convert key first downs on intermediate routes as well.
”I believe that we are different. We didn’t know what we had in store,” Ginn said when comparing the Saints to Week 1. ”We messed around with a lot of options, a lot of different players, different things like that. But as the season went on, we kind of found our mojo.”

As the holdout of Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold continues Kenny Clark Jersey , conflicting reports have emerged regarding the actual reason for his absence.
Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reported on Sunday that the impasse arising from an effort by the Jets to wipe out Darnold’s guarantees in the event not only of a suspension but also of a fine arising from any on- or off-field misconduct. Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News has painted a sharply different picture.
Via Mehta, the real issue is the effort to get the Jets to remove the offset language from the deal, allowing Darnold to double dip in the event he’s cut at some point during the four-year contract.
“CAA was fuming (and expressed their annoyance) after Baker Mayfield agreed to the deal with offsets,” Manish Mehta said on Twitter, in reference to the agency that represents the former USC quarterback. “They lost leverage for Darnold.”
Mehta adds that anything else is a “red herring,” and that Darnold’s camp is simply trying to emerge from the process with a victory over the team. Mehta points out that multiple other CAA clients have agreed to the same language in contracts with the Jets. The language voiding the guarantee, according to Mehta, relates to fines arising from team-imposed punishment for conduct detrimental to the team or from league-imposed punishment under the PED policy. (That last part is a bit confusing, since any violation of the PED policy results in a suspension, not a fine.)
Mehta claims that Darnold is “pissed” about the situation John Riggins Jersey , and Mehta speculates that Darnold and his family won’t let the situation last much longer.
So the question becomes whether the Jets and CAA can work something out before Darnold simply instructs CAA to accept whatever the team’s current offer is. Which could shift the fight from team vs. agent to agent vs. client. Which could, in theory, result in the client ending up with a new agent.
Around 10,000 spectators remained at the finish of the Miami Dolphins' marathon win over Tennessee, and they were hardly fair weather fans.Lightning forced two delays of about two hours each Sunday, and it took Miami more than seven hours to complete a 27-20 victory.
"Appreciate all you Dolphins fans sticking it out tonight," quarterback Ryan Tannehill shouted to a camera as he headed for the locker room. "Win No. 1, baby."
That it was. Here are things to know about a season opener that was memorable for the Dolphins and costly for the Titans:
HEAVY TOLL: The Titans lost starting quarterback Marcus Mariota, tackle Taylor Lewan, tight end Delanie Walker and cornerback Adoree Jackson to injuries Ziggy Hood Jersey , which made it an especially tough debut for rookie coach Mike Vrabel.
Mariota hurt his throwing elbow in the third quarter, left the game for one play, returned to throw two interceptions and departed for good.
"I couldn't feel my fingers, feel my hand," Mariota said. "It was one of those things 鈥?couldn't grip the ball."
Blaine Gabbert replaced Mariota.
"It's just go time," Gabbert said. "That's the backup quarterback's job description: to be ready at a moment's notice, to go in and help your team win the game."
Gabbert didn't do that, going 11 for 22 for 117 yards and an interception that sealed the win for Miami. He'll have more notice if he's in the lineup for Sunday's home opener against Houston.
Lewan left the game with a concussion. Walker was carted off the field later in the period with a right leg injury. Jackson hurt his shoulder on a 26-yard punt return.
FRACAS: Lewan appeared to be briefly knocked out when flattened on Andre Branch's blindside block during an interception return by Reshad Jones. Lewan sprawled face down on the turf, then suddenly sprang to his feet, and players exchanged words and shoves.
Jordan Phillips and Bobby McCain of Miami and Dion Lewis of Tennessee received offsetting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for taunting Marquez Valdes-Scantling Jersey ,
"There were a lot of words being said," McCain said, "and I don't think you can write them down."
COMEBACK: Tannehill hopes to perform better Sunday at the New York Jets. Coming back from knee surgery, he played for the first time in 21 months with mixed results.
Tannehill threw two interceptions, and the Dolphins twice came up empty on possessions inside the Tennessee 20.
"I wasn't as sharp as I like to be," he said.
Even so, Tannehill went 20 for 28 for 230 yards and threw two touchdown passes to Kenny Stills.
BIG PLAYS: The Dolphins flashed their speed in the fourth quarter. Jakeem Grant scored on a 102-yard kickoff return, Stills caught a 75-yard touchdown pass and Jones returned his second interception of the game 54 yards.
"You have three or four guys who are burners," Tannehill said. "It's a lot of fun to play with them."
ANTHEM: Colin Kaepernick, a leader of the protest movement by NFL players against social injustice Lane Taylor Jersey , tweeted his support after Dolphins receivers Stills and Albert Wilson knelt during the national anthem.
"I know he has our back," Stills said. "Really, there has been a huge difference between when we first started protesting and now. A lot of people are reaching out and supporting us, so I really appreciate that. To everybody out there, thank you for reaching out, thank you for the positivity. Let's keep doing our best to make positive change and have these conversations and make our country a better place."
Womens Troy Apke JerseyFavors has been quietly, albeit effectively, getting it done against the Oklahoma City Thunder, playing in the shadows of Utah rookie of the year candidate Donovan Mitchell and Jazz center Rudy Gobert.
But a healthy Favors is making an impact.
The Jazz have returned to Utah with the series tied 1-1, thanks in no small part to Favors. He tallied career playoff highs of 20 points and 16 rebounds in Utah’s 102-95 road win on Wednesday.
Jazz coach Quin Snyder will start Favors at power forward alongside Gobert beginning with Game 3 on Saturday. But he will also utilize him as a backup center to spell Gobert. Favors has done his part to make playing alongside Gobert work by extending his shooting range to improve offensive spacing. He has also made himself an effective roller.
”He’s always been a good pick-and-roll player, regardless of `position,”’ Snyder said. ”We’ve never really thought of him as one position or the other. We’ve thought of him as a basketball player and tried to have him understand his strengths and then play to his strengths.”
Indeed. In the first two playoff games against the Thunder, Favors is averaging 13.5 points on 52 percent shooting and 10.5 rebounds.
It is exactly the type of impact Favors envisioned making when fighting to reclaim his body from knee and back injuries that afflicted him for the better part of two seasons.
”I’m back to being 100 percent,” Favors said. ”Back healthy. Back moving the way I know I can move and playing the way I know I can play. It’s a big advantage for us.”
There’s no question having Favors at full strength has improved Utah’s ability to counter a Thunder team featuring the potent trio of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Paul George. The veteran forward/center offers versatility on both ends of the court honed through playing multiple positions as circumstances dictate.
Crashing the boards definitely tops the list when checking off Favors’ strengths. He ranks second on the Jazz roster in rebounding behind Gobert with 7.2 rebounds per game.
When Favors is active on the glass, it can change the direction of a game for Utah. In Game 2 against Oklahoma City, he grabbed eight offensive rebounds through the first 2 1/2 quarters. By contrast, the Thunder totaled six offensive boards as a team in the same stretch.
”His length and his strength allow him to get his hands on balls,” Snyder said. ”He’s got such good hands that even when he keeps the ball alive, usually something good happens.”
Favors’ willingness to go full throttle around the basket has turned him into a reliable complimentary player on offense. He rolls to the basket with consistency and http://www.indianapoliscoltsteamonline.com/margus-hunt-jersey , more often than not, it pays off for him.
It has turned Favors into a legitimate offensive presence again. He averaged 9.5 points on 48.7 percent shooting while limited to 50 games a year ago. This season, Favors is scoring 12.3 points per game while shooting 56.3 percent from the floor.
”Other teams and other opponents, they look and see I’m 6-foot-10 and think I’m a 5 man or whatever, so they try to take advantage of it,” Favors said. ”It just feels good to be able to go out there and move the way that I know that I can move and be able to play the way I know that I can play and teams can’t take advantage of it.”
Favors is focused on staying aggressive as the series with the Thunder shifts to Utah. He is having fun playing basketball again and wants to make sure Oklahoma City continues to feel his presence on both ends of the court.
His teammates certainly do and they understand what a difference it can potentially make as the Jazz battle to keep going in the postseason.
”He’s been like that all year,” Mitchell said, ”but he’s definitely turned it up with what he can do.”

The first taste of the NBA playoffs for Timberwolves All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns has been rather bitter, thanks to the 3-point-happy Houston Rockets.
The two-game totals tell a frustrating story for the 22-year-old: just 13 points, 5 for 18 shooting and a 2-0 deficit in the series against the Rockets. Towns has found himself the subject of pointed criticism from analysts, fans and even his own team.
The switch-heavy Rockets have double-teamed Towns to a stifling effect, and the Timberwolves sure haven’t helped their 7-footer out by getting him the ball in favorable situations in the post.
”They’re coming to double. He knows that. He has to face up, be strong with the ball, make quick moves,” point guard Jeff Teague said. ”But we have to figure out how to get him running Tavon Austin Jersey , get him some easy buckets.”
The team’s struggles have taken a little luster off Minnesota’s first postseason home game in 14 years, but the fans who remember the Timberwolves reaching the Western Conference finals in 2004 will surely be eager to witness the playoffs in person no matter the daunting challenge in this first round.
”This organization, all of our fans, they deserve this moment,” Towns said.
And they want a win.
The Timberwolves host the Rockets on Saturday night in Game 3. Earlier in the day, Miami takes on Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference and New Orleans hosts Portland, both in Game 4. Later, Utah visits Oklahoma City in Game 3.
Towns tried his best to shrug off the bad vibes and stinging rebukes when speaking with reporters on Friday.
”You dwell too much on the past, you forget that you’ve got to take care of the present,” Towns said.
The chatter on TV and Twitter, he said, has escaped him.
”I live my life very Amish-like,” Towns said. ”Other than video games, I don’t think I have a reason for electronics. It’s a life that I’ve always loved.”

76ERS AT HEAT
76ers lead 2-1. Game 4, 2:30 p.m. EDT http://www.dallascowboysteamonline.com/cole-beasley-jersey , TNT
NEED TO KNOW: It’s simple: The team that has imposed its will is 3-0 in this series. Philadelphia took the pace where it wanted it in Games 1 and 3. Miami out-toughed the 76ers in Game 2. The Heat have to find a way to keep Philadelphia’s 3-point shooting in check; the 76ers made 18 shots from beyond the arc in Game 3. Joel Embiid is back from a concussion and a broken bone around his eye, and an already-confident Philadelphia bunch seems to have even more swagger now.
KEEP AN EYE ON: 76ers guard Marco Belinelli. The 76ers are 25-6 when he plays and 14-1 when he scores at least 15 points. In this series, he’s 13 for 27 on shots from 20 feet and deeper, and many of those makes have been daggers for Miami.
PRESSURE IS ON: Heat center Hassan Whiteside . Backups Kelly Olynyk and Bam Adebayo have played a combined 145 minutes in this series, while Whiteside has played only 41, with 11 points, nine fouls, seven turnovers and three field goals in the three games. There’s no room for error now for Miami, so either Whiteside will figure it out fast in Game 4 or the Heat will get someone else into his spot.
HISTORY LESSON: This is the fourth time in Dwyane Wade’s career that the Heat have trailed an Eastern Conference opponent 2-1. In the three previous Game 4s in that scenario, Miami has won all three with Wade averaging 26.7 points in those second-round games against Indiana (2004 and 2012) and Toronto (2016).

TRAIL BLAZERS AT PELICANS
Pelicans lead 3-0. Game 4, 5 p.m. EDT, TNT.
NEED TO KNOW: The sixth-seeded Pelicans are on the cusp of a surprising sweep of the third-seeded Blazers, and their margin of victory has grown in each game. They dominated Game 3, leading by as many as 20 points in the first half and 33 in the second. Veteran guard Rajon Rondo has masterfully run the offense, and the Pelicans have played unselfishly with a different scoring leader in each game: Anthony Davis with 35 in Game 1 Jason Spriggs Jersey , Jrue Holiday with 33 in Game 2 and Nikola Mirotic with 30 in Game 3.
KEEP AN EYE ON: Portland’s body language, intensity and aggressiveness. Guard Damian Lillard challenged the Blazers to ramp up those aspects of their game, stressing that the Pelicans were ”a lot more aggressive than we were and we didn’t dish it back out. I think in the playoffs and in a situation like this, when a team is coming for you like that, you’ve got to maybe go out of your way to do it back, even if that means foul trouble or some altercations happen out there.”
PRESSURE IS ON: Lillard. The Pelicans have sold out to stop the Portland star, who missed nine of 14 shots in Game 3. ”It’s either going to be a tough shot, or I’ve got to give the ball up,” Lillard said. ”I’ve got to trust making the right play, and when it comes time I’ve got to take my chances and I’ve got to take those tough shots.”
INJURY UPDATE: Blazers starting forward Evan Turner missed Game 3 because of a toe injury in Game 2. The team did not update his status on Friday.

ROCKETS AT TIMBERWOLVES
Rockets lead 2-0. Game 3, 7:30 p.m. EDT, ESPN.
NEED TO KNOW: The Rockets cruised to a 20-point victory in Game 2 despite only 12 points on a staggering 2-for-18 shooting performance by James Harden. After squandering their chance to steal Game 1 on the road in a three-point loss, the Wolves are back home in a big hole against the team with the best record in the NBA. They’ll need a big boost from a home crowd celebrating the team’s return to the postseason to send the series back to Houston for a Game 5.
KEEP AN EYE ON: Ger Womens Brian Allen Jersey
Nick Williams http://www.washingtonredskinsteamonline.com/d.j.-swearinger-jersey , Scott Kingery and Jorge Alfaro drove in runs on consecutive at-bats in the seventh inning to help Philadelphia win 3-2 on Saturday.
With two outs in the seventh, Williams sent a line drive down the right field line that took a funny hop off the fence and eluded Pirates right fielder Gregory Polanco, who bobbled the ball. The relay throw still made it to third baseman Colin Moran ahead of Williams, but he able to avoid the tag for a triple.
Carlos Santana scored on the play. Kingery followed up with a single up the middle and then scored when Alfaro hit a double to right-center to give the Phillies all they’d need to clinch their third straight series win and improve to an MLB-best 19-7 in one-run games.
”Another win in a one-run game,” manager Gabe Kapler said. ”I think that’s something to really be proud of and something we continue to focus on.”
Jake Arrieta (6-6) worked around six hits with the help of eight strikeouts to hold the Pirates to two runs over seven innings. It was Arrieta’s first win in eight starts, though it didn’t look that way at first.
”There’s no perfect formula for how the game’s going to play out Trey Burton Jersey ,” Arrieta said. ”Yeah, you want to score first. You want to score often. Sometimes that doesn’t happen.”
Pirates starter Jameson Taillon (5-7) was charged with all three runs. He struck out eight and walked none in his 77 pitches over 6 2/3 innings. He had allowed just two singles and hadn’t allowed a runner to even get into scoring position coming into the seventh inning. Reliever Edgar Santana allowed the go-ahead run to score with Alfaro’s double. The three runs were scored on three straight pitches.
”I was really excited and looking forward to being the guy to put an end to our tough streak here,” Taillon said. ”I’m at 68 pitches without a guy touching second base and someone’s warming up? That’s tough. So, I don’t know. I haven’t been pitching the greatest. I understand the trust isn’t there. “
Starling Marte singled and scored in the first and homered in the second as part of a three-hit afternoon to stake the Pirates to an early lead. Pittsburgh has lost five straight.
Victor Arano worked around a leadoff double in the ninth for his second save.
ROSTER MOVES
The Pirates activated right-handed reliever Michael Feliz from the 10-day disabled list, selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Alex McRae from Triple-A Indianapolis and optioned relievers Dovydas Neverauskas and Josh Smoker to Indianapolis.
Feliz had been on the disabled list since June 24 with a right shoulder strain. He has a 5.51 ERA in 33 appearances this season. It’s McRae’s first MLB call-up. He had a 4.61 ERA in 17 appearances – 16 starts – with Indianapolis. He’ll work out of the bullpen in Pittsburgh.
TRAINER’S ROOM
Phillies: INF Cesar Hernandez did not start after fouling a ball off his foot on Friday. He flew out in the eighth as a pinch hitter.

The NFL season is finally upon us, as we鈥檝e all been waiting patiently since the Philadelphia Eagles took out the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. There are several young names ready to step up and make their mark on the league, and several new teams ready to challenge for the Lombardi Trophy, and it makes the league quite unpredictable. A true changing of the guard will happen over the next few years, as teams like Chicago http://www.dallascowboysteamonline.com/dak-prescott-jersey , New York, LA and Houston are ready to step up and take over the league, but this year will see a stand from the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Drew Brees, and it鈥檚 going to make it incredibly exciting.
Some of these aren鈥檛 too bold, but we鈥檝e come up with our list of 20 predictions for the upcoming season Geron Christian Jersey , which we believe will be one of the most exciting seasons yet, as players continue to get better, stronger and faster.
Authentic Womens Martinas Rankin JerseyRay, who heads the Granite Backcountry Alliance, is working with federal and local land trusts to improve, construct and expand backcountry skiing in the mountains of northern New Hampshire and western Maine. The group recently received approval from the White Mountain National Forest Service to develop and maintain ski trails on sections of Bartlett Mountain and Baldface Mountain.
”We’ll be skiing right off the summit, which is pretty exciting,” Ray said.
Backcountry skiing has a long history in the White Mountain National Forest. Mount Washington is considered the epicenter of backcountry skiing in the Northeast. Skiers have been flocking to the mountain’s Tuckerman Ravine for nearly 100 years, attracted by its steep, consequential terrain, more commonly found out West or in Europe.
”What we have here is historic http://www.dallascowboysteamonline.com/cole-beasley-jersey ,” Ray said. ”It is really exciting because we are going full circle with the concept of what we now call backcountry skiing, which is an ironic term in many ways because we are doing something that was happening way before chairlifts and everything else. So we are really going full circle and bringing it back to the fore.”
The sector of the sport is booming, with skiers complaining they don’t have enough trails to keep up with demand. On a spring weekend, as many as 2,000 skiers may hike up into the ravine. The new trails should help.
Greg Maino, spokesman for Vermont’s Catamount Trail Association, which helps manage more than 300 miles (483 kilometers) of winter trails, including the Brandon Gap and Dutch Hill in the Green Mountain National Forest, which are used for backcountry skiing, agreed the activity has been growing in popularity in recent years as the specialized ski equipment needed to climb mountains without chairlifts has gotten less expensive.
”It definitely opens the doors; you can go so many more places. Anywhere you want http://www.greenbaypackersteamonline.com/jimmy-graham-jersey , anywhere there’s snow, I think it opens up a lot of opportunities,” Maino said.
Andrew Drummond, owner of Ski The Whites, a backcountry ski shop in Jackson, New Hampshire, said he wishes more people would take advantage of the sport.
”It doesn’t matter if you’re in a new zone or a familiar zone. . The weather’s nice, you’re with your friends, and it’s your personal playground,” Drummond said. ”If everyone was outside more doing more of this stuff T.J. Green Jersey , everyone would be in a better mind frame, be better people.”
Last summer, Granite Backcountry worked with the town of Randolph to open up about 75 acres (30 hectares) of glades on Crescent Ridge. Dozens of volunteers showed up to work with professional foresters to clear brush while opening up several ski lines through a hardwood grove.
Unlike a traditional ski resort, these trails will leave no broad scars on the mountains. There are no chairlifts to take skiers to the summit, which means skiers must attach climbing skins to the base of their skis to prevent them from slipping down the mountainside.
”There is unbelievable satisfaction that is involved when you hike up a mountain or skin a mountain,” Ray said. ”What I like to say is you may only get one run in a day but you are going to remember every single turn and that’s a really special thing.”
The 49ers drafted Mike McGlinchey to start at right tackle. That’s the short-term plan. But offensive tackles drafted in the top 10 usually end up playing left tackle, which is where Joe Staley currently resides.
But Staley turns 34 in August and has two years remaining on his deal, so in all likelihood, McGlinchey will have Staley’s job by 2020.
That hasn’t stopped Staley from helping McGlinchey.
鈥淗e鈥檚 been awesome; Joe is the best,鈥?McGlinchey said Roger Staubach Jersey , via Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle. “. . . What you see is what you get with Joe. There鈥檚 no B.S. At Notre Dame, McGlinchey was coached by Brian Kelly, who coached Staley at Central Michigan. Many of Kelly’s assistants also coached with Kelly at Central Michigan in 2004-06.

As he prepares to enter his third season with the New Orleans Saints Jim McMahon Jersey , defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins wants to become a leadership figure on defense.
According to Herbie Teope of NFL.com, the 2016 first-round pick feels he’s equipped to take another step forward on a defense that improved significantly last season.
“Now, it’s all about improving, whether it’s just finishing plays,” Rankins said. “I had a lot of pressures, a lot of quarterback hits, but now it’s time to turn those into sacks. A lot of tackles around the line of scrimmage, but now it’s time to turn those into (tackles for loss). It’s time to be a leader for this defense.”
Rankins became a full-time starter for the Saints in his second season after being a rotational player in 2016. The No. 12 overall pick had four sacks as a rookie when he was a rotational piece after beginning the year on injured reserve, but just two sacks last season as a full-time player. He finished his 2017 season with 26 tackles http://www.greenbaypackersteamonline.com/ty-montgomery-jersey , two sacks, a forced fumble and an interception.
“I think what I do speaks for itself,” Rankins said. “I think I’m versatile. I can rush the passer, I can stop the run, I can do whatever the defense needs me to do. I’ll always carry that with me in and out of every season, and my mindset won’t change.”
Maybe Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Jake Arrieta will go longer into the Saturday afternoon game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park than he did in his last start.
The former Cy Young Award winner with the Chicago Cubs has double-digit wins in each of the past four seasons, and a career 3.57 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. But he learned in his first season with the Phillies that it is all about the wins.
Philadelphia moved well above .500 by making careful decisions, and that included pulling Arrieta after five strong innings and 70 pitches Sunday against Washington simply because the club was trailing 3-0 with one hit.
“You have to find a way to score runs. You’re running out of outs. You’re down,” Phillies manager Gabe Kapler said of his decision to pinch-hit Carlos Santana for Arrieta after he had given up two earned runs and four hits.
Philadelphia ended up scoring three runs that inning for a tie and winning 4-3 in 13 innings.
“There was quite a bit of debate Phillip Gaines Jersey , and mostly because of how good Jake was,” Kapler said. “I was confident we could have gotten two, maybe three more innings out of him. However, we didn’t know if we were going to have an opportunity to score.
“So there was definitely internal debate, mostly because of how good Jake is and because I knew he could give us length there — and because I knew he wanted to give us length. He’s earned the opportunity to do so. But for the strategy of the Phillies, I didn’t think that was the right move.”
Arrieta (5-6, 3.54 ERA) hasn’t been winning at his customary clip, the no-decision notwithstanding. On Saturday, he’ll face right-hander Jameson Taillon (5-6 Anthony Castonzo Jersey , 4.05 ERA) and the struggling Pirates (40-47).
Arrieta is 11-6 with a 3.01 ERA in 21 career starts against Pittsburgh. The only time he faced them this season, he struck out 10 while pitching seven one-hit scoreless innings in a 7-0 victory on April 19.
The Phillies opened this series with a 17-5 smackdown Friday and have won five straight and six of seven to gain a share of the National League East lead.
The Pirates have lost four in a row — by a combined 48-13, with 59 hits and 12 homers allowed — and five of six. They continue to shuffle their lineup.
“There’s no sense in keeping it the same, is usually a point I get to, because we’re not getting the results we want to get,” Pittsburgh manager Clint Hurdle said.
In his most recent start, Taillon lasted just 4 2/3 innings Sunday in San Diego. He left with a lead in a game the Pirates won 7-5 but gave up a homer and two singles with two outs in the fourth to prompt the pitching change.
“I’m hunting a lot of good work, and I just need to keep going,” Taillon Aaron Lynch Jersey , who is is 3-6 with a 4.93 ERA in his past 14 starts, told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Against the Phillies, Taillon is 1-1 with a 5.68 ERA in three career starts. This is a rematch of the April 19 game that Arrieta won. In that game, Taillon was rocked for five runs in 1 2/3 innings.
Washington Redskins Elite JerseysManager Mike Scioscia said Friday that Pujols had an injection in his knee.
”He’s been playing with it banged up for a while and he’s looking very productive,” Scioscia said. ”This is trying to get him to a higher level and maybe make him more comfortable.”
Pujols tied Ken Griffey Jr. on the career home run list with his 630th blast on Thursday. Pujols is hitting .252 with 16 homers and 52 RBIs.
The Angels and Dodgers meet in the Freeway Series this weekend before the break begins. With the series at Dodger Stadium, there is no designated hitter, and that combined with the break gives Pujols an extended rest.
”It should be improved by the end of the DL time, so we expect him back after that,” Scioscia said.

In their search for a franchise quarterback, the New York Jets will work out Wyoming’s Josh Allen in the next week and don’t plan to have a private session with Southern California’s Sam Darnold.
Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan said Monday at the NFL meetings that the organization has had ”quite a bit of exposure” to Darnold O. J. Simpson Jersey , and bringing in any player for a predraft workout is ”no big shocker.”
New York traded up from the sixth overall spot to No. 3. Unlike acting owner Christopher Johnson, who the previous day pretty much affirmed a quarterback would be the choice, Maccagnan wasn’t dropping any hints.
”We acted a little early on it,” Maccagnan said of the deal with Indianapolis that also cost the Jets three second-round picks. ”We felt good about our research, inquired with other teams … three is a position we’re comfortable being in. We feel very good about what may potentially be there at No. 3 and feel we can control our destiny.”
The price tag wasn’t too steep, either, Maccagnan emphasized Darrell Green Jersey , noting the Jets kept their 2019 first-rounder.
As for which of the top quarterback prospects the Jets might be targeting – UCLA’s Josh Rosen and Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield are considered the others – Maccagnan was mum.
Same with whether Penn State running back Saquon Barkley or North Carolina State defensive end Bradley Chubb, and everyone else in next month’s draft.
He did say the Jets spoke with Cleveland about the top spot, but not with their fellow owners of MetLife Stadium, the Giants, concerning the No. 2 position. While the Browns are widely expected to go for a quarterback, new Giants coach Pat Shurmur has thrown his support behind veteran Eli Manning. The Giants also could trade down, lifting a team with quarterback needs above the Jets.
Maccagnan isn’t losing sleep over that prospect Earnest Byner Jersey , though he recognizes the need to find that franchise quarterback.
”Until you acquire that, you are constantly looking to find one,” he said. ”Our focus is to identify and acquire one of those; it may be someone on the roster, or elsewhere.”
Currently on the roster are four quarterbacks: journeyman Josh McCown, who comes off a strong year shortened by a broken left hand in December; Teddy Bridgewater, signed in free agency in his comeback from a severe knee injury in Minnesota; and 2017 backups Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg. If you see a franchise quarterback in that group, please let Maccagnan know.
Maccagnan further explained the Jets’ withdrawal of a contract offer to Ndamukong Suh Doug Flutie Jersey , the standout (and expensive) defensive tackle cut by Miami this month. Johnson said Sunday it had been rescinded.
”We extended an offer and there was a deadline and it passed,” Maccagnan said. ”We had to determine if we wanted to stay in or pull out and we pulled out.
”He’s a very good player. You watch on tape and he still has the ability to be dominant. We felt good about potentially having him on our roster. It was a one-year contract; we could potentially add him and evaluate it a year from now.”
Not committing to Suh helps keep the Jets far under the salary cap heading toward 2019. It’s conceivable they could have more money than any team next offseason, perhaps $100 million in space.
”It’s hard to predict,” Maccagnan said, ”but in every free agency there are good values to be had.”

BUFFALO BILLS (9-8)
New faces: DT Star Lotulelei Bryan Bulaga Jersey , DE Trent Murphy, QB AJ McCarron, WR Jeremy Kerley, RB Chris Ivory, CB Vontae Davis, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, rookies QB Josh Allen, MLB Tremaine Edmunds, DT Harrison Phillips.
Key losses: QB Tyrod Taylor, C Eric Wood, LG Richie Incognito Mike Alstott Jersey , LT Cordy Glenn, CB E.J. Gaines, LB Preston Brown, WR Jordan Matthews.
Strengths: Secondary returns mostly intact. Safeties Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer and cornerback Tre'Davious White combined for 14 of Buffalo's 18 interceptions last year. Rafael Bush has solidified backup safety job, with only question mark whether Davis, Phillip Gaines or rookie Taron Johnson fills starting job opposite White. Defensive front upgraded with additions of Lotulelei and Murphy. RB LeSean McCoy is among elite in NFL.
Weaknesses: Question marks cloud most every other position, especially quarterback with still unsettled three-way competition between Allen, McCarron and returning backup Nathan Peterman. Offensive line having difficulty finding chemistry, hampering both pass protection and run blocking. There's even competition at punter with veteran Jon Ryan signed last week to challenge Colton Schmidt.
Fantasy Players To Watch: PK Stephen Hauschka might be best initial bet after hitting 29 of 33 field-goal attempts, including 7 for 9 from 50 yards or longer last season. McCoy, at 30 Ryan Schraeder Jersey , hasn't showed signs of slowing down, and should be more involved as receiver under Daboll. Only question is McCoy finding seams to run through behind patchwork line. WR Kelvin Benjamin and TE Charles Clay expected to be primary targets no matter who starts at QB.
Vegas Says: Super Bowl 120-1. Over/under wins 5 1/2.
Expectations: With more offseason changes, including quarterback, difficult to see how Bills can build on feel-good story of sneaking into playoffs on one of final plays of regular season to end 17-year drought, which had been longest active streak in North America's four major professional sports. Though young core is beginning to emerge, Buffalo appears likely to take step back in what resembles transitional year. Allen needs more time to develop, and lacks protection and proven receivers. On bright side, Bills projected to have plenty of room under salary cap in 2019 to fill needs.
The long-awaited contract talks between star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and the New York Giants are going to start relatively soon. After months of waiting to see how Beckham recovered from a broken left ankle and how the 25-year-old mended his ways, Giants co-owner John Mara said Thursday the talks with player and his representatives will take place sooner rather than later.
"I think this was the time that we always had in mind," Mara said.
"But I think Odell personally is moving in the right direction. He has come in here with a good attitude. Showed up yesterday with a smile on his face. He's worked hard. I think he's ready to go. He's ready for a great season."
The 25-year-old Beckham is entering the fifth and final season of his rookie contract. He is to earn $8.5 million this season, but the three-time Pro Bowler whose career has been tarnished by off-the- field issues Ahkello Witherspoon Jersey , wants to be among the NFL's highest-paid players, certainly the highest-paid receiver.
Mara refused to say how much the Giants were willing to pay, but noted the franchise wants Beckham to stay for a long time.
Beckham, who was injured in early October and missed the rest of the season, helped himself in the offseason by working hard. He attended about half of the voluntary organized team activities and reported to camp on time Wednesday.
Beckham took part in about 50 percent of the plays in Thursday's workout and later ran sprints on a back field. He looked good.
Beckham has been the catalyst of the Giants' offense since being drafted in the first round in 2014. In 47 NFL games, the former LSU product has 313 catches for 4,424 yards and 38 touchdowns.
Fellow receiver Sterling Shepard said Thursday that Beckham seems even more explosive this season.
"He wants to show everyone he still has it," Shepard said.
In a wide-ranging interview with the media on the first day of practice, Mara said he hopes the league and the players union will be able to agree on a national anthem policy. He said the team would wait to see what happened in meetings which he said will take place soon.
"Hopefully we can find a resolution that everyone is open to," Mara said.
Mara also said he believes 37-year-old quarterback Eli Manning still had several good years ahead of him.
The co-owner also is excited by the unlimited physical skills of running back Saquon Barkley. He is concerned about the hype being thrust on the second overall pick in the draft.
"I think he is capable of living up to it," Mara said. "I think he is mature beyond his years."
Mara says he still has not recovered from last year's 3-13 season that led to the firing of coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese in early December.
However Mark Clayton Jersey , he admits there is a new feeling in the building with the changes made by new coach Pat Shurmur and general manager Dave Gettleman.
Gettleman, who was diagnosed with lymphoma in late spring, is doing well and is currently in remission, Mara said.
Gettleman was in the office Wednesday and spoke to the team.
"I don't think I have ever been around a more upbeat person in my life, particularly going through what he has been going through," Mara said. "He is optimistic about his recovery and his ability to work this year."

Ellis had agreed to the deal last week to stay off the free-agent market but it was not announced until Monday.
Smith is also facing legal problems. He will plead guilty Tuesday to a felony count of assault with great bodily injury in connection with an altercation in Pasadena last year Tyrell Williams Jersey , according to the attorney for the alleged victim.
Smith was accused of assaulting his sister's then-boyfriend, Christopher Woods, on July 4. Two witnesses testified during a preliminary hearing in December that Smith stomped Woods' head as he lay bleeding and unconscious.
Smith will be sentenced to one year in jail and five years of probation in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Attorney Jonathan Dennis said Woods "felt the sentence, obviously Kenny Stills Jersey , was not as strict as it should have been, but he's pleased he's admitting guilt."
Smith was signed as a big-ticket free agent in 2016 to a four-year, $38 million deal. But he never played up to that level and the Raiders have decided to cut him instead of paying him $8.5 million this year.
Smith got benched in his first game with the Raiders after getting burned by New Orleans' Brandin Cooks for a 98-yard touchdown. He allowed opposing quarterbacks to post a 116.5 passer rating when targeting him in 2016, according to SportRadar.
Smith struggled again early in 2017 and was replaced in the starting lineup by TJ Carrie Laremy Tunsil Jersey , before finishing the season strong after John Pagano replaced fired defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. for the final six games.
Smith allowed just 15 catches on 27 targets for 202 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions over the final six games for a passer rating of 64.1 as Pagano better took advantage of Smith's size and strength. That was down from a 113.3 rating in his one-plus season under Norton.
Oakland will again seek to bolster the secondary in free agency, looking for a starter at cornerback to pair with last year's first-round pick Gareon Conley.
Carrie is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent Wednesday and is free to talk to potential suitors this week.
Newhouse started 14 games last season for the Raiders but new coach Jon Gruden said at the combine that the play at right tackle last season was inconsistent.
Ellis was originally a fourth-round pick by Oakland in 2014. He has started 41 of the 60 games he has played in during four seasons with the Raiders and is strong against the run.
Whalen has played 43 games over six seasons in the NFL. He has 51 catches for 532 yards and three touchdowns. He also has 47 punt returns for 378 yards and 29 kickoff returns for 701 yards.
Associated Press Writer Brian Melley in Los Angeles contributed to this reportWith Phase 3 of the offseason program soon to begin in most NFL cities, the chances of a player injury will increase. Of course, the injury risk already was there during the less intense portions of the program.
Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports that Patriots defensive end Adrian Clayborn “tweaked” a quadriceps muscle during offseason workouts.
Clayborn’s availability could be limited for the Organized Team Activities Rob Gronkowski Jersey , which begin on Monday. Either way, he’s expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
Reiss notes that the quad issue underscores concerns about Clayborn’s history of injuries, from an ACL tear (plus more knee damage) in 2012 to a torn biceps in one arm in 2014 to another knee injury in 2016 to a torn biceps in the other arm in 2016.
Clayborn had a career-high 9.5 sacks in 2017, six of which came in one game Drew Kaser Jersey , against the Cowboys.
