The best way to get a ton of Ethanol is to liberate Outposts in Far Cry New Dawn from mmocs's blog

Far Cry New Dawn has entered the post-apocalypse, and with a brand new change of scenery and a bucket of radiation come our Far Cry New Dawn tips that you’ll need to make mincemeat out of the Highwaymen and turn Prosperity into a beacon in the trashfire world of Hope County. As well as the bright pink flowers scattered across the landscape there are a fair few alterations to the typical survivalist formula: Outposts can be levelled up; you’ve got a base to upgrade; and now enemies have levels so you can decide whether to run away or go in all guns blazing.

If you think of resources in Far Cry New Dawn as if they were part of a tree, ethanol would be the trunk. It is the one thing that players must acquire if they hope to upgrade their situation in Prosperity, including gaining the ability to craft new and more powerful weapons. There are only a few ways to earn ethanol in Far Cry New Dawn, and we’ve compiled a list of those methods so you don’t miss out.

The best way to get a ton of Ethanol is to liberate Outposts. There are ten in total in Far Cry New Dawn, each awarding Ethanol upon completion. You’ll need to eliminate all of the enemies in each Outpost, and you’ll get bonus Ethanol for doing so without being detected, and for not triggering any alarms. This method will yield you more than enough Ethanol to tide you over, especially if you use the Scavenging method. By the way, you can buy cheap FCND Credits from mmocs.com, where you can enjoy a 3% discount by using the code “ MMOCSVIP ”.

The second and third methods to getting Ethanol are less reliable and more opportunistic. The easier of these is to find Ethanol in Supply Drops. Now and then, you may come across a Supply Drop being dropped from the skies over Hope County. These crates are covered with yellow tarpaulins and release bright yellow smoke, making them easy to spot. A small number of Highwaymen will usually spawn and guard the drop if you don’t get there quickly. The loot found inside a supply drop is random, but it can include between 35 and 40 Ethanol. As such, this isn’t a reliable method to farm Ethanol, but it doesn’t hurt to go out of your way whenever you see a drop.

For example, rather than spending Ethanol on the Cartography Facility to unlock access to Treasure Maps, upgrade your Workbench, Infirmary, and Training Camp to rank up your weapons, health, and Guns for Hire, which in turn will give you the tools you need to liberate level 3 Outposts for even more Ethanol. You get the idea. You will need to upgrade every Homebase Facility at certain parts of the campaign to unlock access to new chapters in the story, but you’re otherwise free to spend the Ethanol how you wish.
