Tom Brady is not looking to have the radio host who called his daughter ”an annoying little pissant” to lose his job.

The Patriots quarterback said early Monday he’s reconsidering whether to continue a long-running weekly radio appearance with the station. Hours later at the Super Bowl media night Womens Brayden Point Jersey , he was asked about the incident in which WEEI host Alex Reimer made the remarks about Brady’s 5-year-old daughter after watching the first episode of a Brady documentary called ”Tom vs. Time” that is airing on Facebook. Reimer’s show aired Thursday, four days before Brady’s weekly morning radio segment with different hosts.

”I didn’t hear too much about it. I didn’t get into it much,” Brady said at the Xcel Center. ”I certainly hope the guy is not fired.

”I just know everybody is real protective of their kids. I never stayed away from criticism. I understand that criticism is part of sports. But I certainly don’t think that my children or anybody else’s children deserve to be in that. And that’s what I said.”

Brady cut short an appearance on Monday morning and said, ”I’ll obviously evaluate whether I want to come on this show again.

”It’s very disappointing when you hear that certainly with my daughter or any child. They certainly don’t deserve that.”

The station says Reimer has been suspended indefinitely.

The Patriots and the station recently announced an extension of their agreement, which involves weekly calls from Brady and coach Bill Belichick. The five-time Super Bowl champions will play for their sixth ring against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Brady expressed no regrets about doing the Facebook series.

”I thought it was fun. I thought it was a great opportunity,” he said. ”The fans like it. And that’s really what we were looking for.”

He said his son will be in an upcoming episode that features their summer trip to China.

Patriots safety Devin McCourty praised Brady defending his daughter.

”It’s always easy to defend our families,” McCourty noted. ”I thought that was very disappointing to see anyone say anything negative toward his daughter, or anything about your family. Really poor taste.

”But I think as always Tom handled it in the right way with something like that. But I think with all of us that’s one thing that we’re gonna tolerate is anything toward our family.”

Canada is known for having very polite people Jordan Staal Jersey , and for providing the world with rich maple syrup, but the country is also known as the birth place of hockey, one of North America's four major sports. In terms of overall revenue, the National Hockey League comes in at fourth place, but that placement has not hindered the league from generating billions of dollars, and as it turns out, a good portion of the league's revenue comes directly from Canada. Such a statement should not be all that surprising, seeing as hockey originated in the country Brady Skjei Jersey , and because many of the players in the league are Canadian, but it is surprising in one regard: the fact that the country is home just seven teams.

The teams are located in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver Youth John Tavares Jersey , and each and every one of them have achieved different levels of success, with four of them having won at least one Stanley Cup. Even though they make up just 7 of the 31 teams, the Canadian teams are always held under a microscope and heavily criticized, so when they make a mistake, they really hear it from their fans. Making a mistake is actually a common thing in sports, but when you make a bad trade, or sign the wrong person to an absurd contract, or manage to draft someone in the first round who turns out to be a total bust Joel Edmundson Jersey , your franchise may have to deal with the consequences for years. The Canadian teams are no different in this regard, and this article will focus on the worst trades, signings, and draft picks that these teams have made.

A Guatemalan living illegally in the U.S. and charged in a drunken crash that killed Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson and another man has been charged in an unrelated case.

Boone County Prosecutor Todd Meyer filed charges of perjury Jack Mewhort Jersey , forgery, identity deception and misdemeanor false informing Tuesday against 37-year-old Manuel Orrego-Savala. Meyer says Orrego-Savala gave police a false identity during his 2017 arrest and prosecution for misdemeanor driving without a license.

Orrego-Savala was charged last week in Marion County with two counts each of failing to remain at the scene of an accident and causing death while driving intoxicated stemming from the Feb. 4 crash that killed Jackson and Jackson's Uber driver, Jeffrey Monroe.

Court records do not list an attorney for Orrego-Savala in the Boone County case.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — John Elway’s much-celebrated 2018 draft class is turning heads at the Broncos‘ training camp, particularly ex-SMU receiver Courtland Sutton, a second-round pick whose spectacular catches have become a daily occurrence.

Big applauses also greet draft picks Bradley Chubb, Josey Jewell and DaeSean Hamilton along with another rookie who went undrafted.

Phillip Lindsay , a 5-foot-8, 180-pound running back who was born in Denver, grew up in adjacent Aurora Chester Rogers Jersey , attended Denver South High School and the University of Colorado and is drawing praises from coaches and teammates.

“No. 2 has shown explosion,” coach Vance Joseph said, referring to the rookie by his jersey number.

“He’s a shifty little back,” said linebacker Todd Davis. “He can definitely make people miss.”

“We’re definitely going to have some things planned for Phillip,” predicted Von Miller, who sees Lindsay carving a niche in a diverse backfield that includes veteran Devontae Booker, second-year speedster De’Angelo Henderson and rookie draft picks Royce Freeman of Oregon and David Williams of Arkansas.

Lindsay is leading the way in plays that draw reactions from the crowd.

“Guys like that in the league, you just can’t cover them,” Miller said. “They’re just assets to the offense. You have to have a back like that and we definitely have one.”

Uninvited to the NFL combine and bypassed on draft weekend, Lindsay signed a contract with his hometown team that would pay him $480 Demarcus Lawrence Jersey ,000 this season and included a $15,000 signing bonus.

By comparison, Freeman’s signing bonus was $997,020 and Williams’ was $93,900.

A Colorado alum himself, Joseph was no stranger to Lindsay’s talents.

“It’s hard to believe he didn’t go to the combine,” Joseph said. “Obviously he’s a Buff, so I’ve watched Phillip for three years as a starter in a major conference. He was a great player. We were all surprised he didn’t go to the combine, and obviously signing him as a free agent was tough because we drafted two backs. We pursued him heavy and he stayed home.”

Lindsay’s college coach, Mike MacIntyre Sonny Jurgensen Jersey , said he has no doubt his former pupil will make it in the NFL because of his versatility, tenacity and willingness to make the most of any morsel of playing time he gets.

“In college he covered kicks, returned kicks, he could play on all four big phases,” MacIntyre said. “And then he’s a guy that can catch the ball really well, so he could be a third-down back. He’s a guy that could block well, could run well, so when you take him to the game, even if he doesn’t play a lot of running back early, he’s going to play a lot of plays for you. So he’s valuable for you as a coaching staff and a team.

“He’ll be the special team coaches’ dream Kyle Fuller Jersey , I promise you that.”

MacIntyre got that right.

“I love Phillip,” Broncos special teams coordinator Tom McMahon declared. “Phillip works his butt off.”

He garnered the nickname “Tasmanian Devil” in college because of the frenetic energy he brings to the team as the undersized underdog he’s been all his life.

“I always bring a chip on my shoulder, not because I’m mad but because I know what I have to do,” Lindsay said. “For me, I’m a running back that’s 5-8 and 190 pounds and I have to go and get my respect for the NFL now.”

It’s nothing new.

“I mean, since when have I not been the underdog?” Lindsay said.

NOTES: In honor of owner Pat Bowlen and his wife, Annabel, both of whom are fighting Alzheimer’s, the Broncos handed out purple towels to their fans and wore purple-and-gray T-shirts Saturday to raise funds and awareness of the disease. … The Broncos will hold a 45-play scrimmage Sunday.

 New Orleans Saints Elite Jerseys
Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota will be on the same practice field for a couple days http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/jordan-poyer-jersey , though their football careers will be forever linked.

They practiced on the same field Wednesday for one period as Winston's Tampa Bay Buccaneers worked out with Mariota's Tennessee Titans. There wasn't time for any chit chat between them.

"I just know he's a great guy, and I just love seeing him out here competing," Winston said.

NFL fans know more than that. They are both quarterbacks. They are both Heisman Trophy winners, and they were the first players drafted in 2015.

But they didn't get a chance watch one another practice, much less catch up on things.

"It was separate, so I didn't really get a chance to go see him," Mariota said.

The decision by Tampa Bay coach Dirk Koetter and first-year Titans coach Mike Vrabel for their teams to work out together before Saturday night's preseason game brought back up the Winston-Mariota debate.

The two worked out together before the 2015 NFL draft out in California. Titans general manager Jon Robinson worked with Tampa Bay when the Buccaneers chose Winston as the No. 1 pick overall over Mariota. Now Robinson has Mariota as the first of those two quarterbacks not only to reach the playoffs but win a game once in the postseason.

"Mariota, he just does a great job and the Tennessee Titans have a good football team," Winston said. "We have a good football team too. We just have to win more games. It's always good to compete against guys, but he's done a great job here and I have to continue to work on my craft and lead our team to the playoffs."

The Bucs will be without Winston for the first three games this season as the quarterback sits out a suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. The NFL announced the suspension in June after the league investigated an allegation Winston groped a female Uber driver in Arizona in March 2016.

That's why Ryan Fitzpatrick started the Bucs' exhibition opener, a 26-24 win over Miami, and Winston worked with the second-team. Koetter said Fitzpatrick got the majority of the work with the Bucs' first-team offense when they worked on a separate field against the Titans' defense.

Winston and Mariota will practice against each other again Thursday in the second of joint practices between the Bucs (1-0) and Titans (0-1). Then Fitzpatrick is expected to start again Saturday night.

Koetter declined to compare where Winston and Mariota are now as quarterbacks going into their fourth seasons, happy with Winston.

"I'm not a good person to ask that Jeremiah George Jersey , because I coach Jameis and I rarely get a chance to watch Marcus," Koetter said. "We know where Jameis is at, you've documented that many times. I can't compare the two because I rarely get to watch Marcus."

Not only does Mariota have the edge over Winston in the NFL with a playoff victory, he also has two very big wins. Mariota and Oregon routed Winston and Florida State 59-20 in the College Football Playoff semifinal in January 2015 . Mariota also is 1-0 against Winston and the Bucs with a 42-14 win in the quarterbacks' NFL debut in 2015.

The 2014 Heisman Trophy winner said he's never really been concerned with being linked to Winston during the pre-draft process or since. Mariota knows who he is and focuses on trying to improve himself.

"It's always kind of interesting our paths cross again," Mariota said. "But it is good to see him, and hopefully we'll just continue to find ways to get better and look back on it and just kind of laugh about it."

Follow Teresa M. Walker at teresamwalker Will the Minnesota Vikings pick up where they left off, following their surge to the NFC championship game last season?

Or will the Green Bay Packers rebound forcefully enough to take back the division they've mostly dominated for two decades?

The annual report on the NFC North has almost always focused on the Packers, the Vikings or both of these fierce rivals since the NFL's most recent realignment produced the current eight-division format in 2002.

With new head coaches in Detroit (Matt Patricia) and Chicago (Matt Nagy) this year, a big breakout by the Lions or Bears would be necessary to bump the Vikings and Packers from the lead story of 2018.

The Vikings overcame early season knee injuries to quarterback Sam Bradford and running back Dalvin Cook to finish 13-3 and beat New Orleans on the last-second touchdown pass from Case Keenum to Stefon Diggs, before the league's best defense was dissected and humbled by eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia in the NFC title game.

Bradford and Keenum departed with Teddy Bridgewater as free agents, but the Vikings signed the best available replacement on the market in Kirk Cousins . They upgraded at defensive tackle with Sheldon Richardson, too, toting as many top-tier players in the 22-man starting lineup as any competitor in the NFL.

With the aspiration of winning the Super Bowl for the first time in the franchise's 58-year history http://www.greenbaypackersteamonline.com/montravius-adams-jersey , the Vikings must be concerned about an entire NFC that's as stacked as ever. But for Minnesota, there's no greater competition, now or over the past quarter-century, than Green Bay.

The Packers are past the pain of losing two-time league MVP award winner Aaron Rodgers, whose broken collarbone in the sixth game of the season effectively ended the dream scenario of hoisting the Super Bowl trophy on Minnesota's home turf.

Five-time Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham has joined Green Bay's dangerous offense. As if Rodgers needed anymore motivation to go with his game-changing ability, the Vikings are the very team that knocked him out of action when linebacker Anthony Barr flattened him with a hard hit.

So who's the favorite here? Well, the answer will start to form quickly, when the Vikings visit the Packers in the second game on Sept. 16.

Here's a quick tour around the NFC North:

TOUGH TASK: The pressure is heavy on Cousins to perform as well or better than Keenum did as a fill-in for Minnesota last fall. The offensive line is again carrying major question marks, with right guard Joe Berger retired and left guard Nick Easton likely out for the year with a neck injury. Center Pat Elflein has missed the entire preseason with his rehabilitation from shoulder and ankle surgeries moving slower than anticipated.

The schedule is stiffer for the Vikings, too, with road trips to NFC powers Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Seattle and a visit to AFC champion New England.

"It's trying to just restart that process and make sure that we know that we're not just getting handed 13 wins," wide receiver Adam Thielen said. "Thirteen wins in the NFL is extremely difficult. It doesn't matter how good you are."

SECONDARY? MORE LIKE PRIMARY: Since winning the Super Bowl nearly eight years ago Cameron Meredith Jersey , in Rodgers' third season as the starter, Green Bay has not been back. The pass defense has been the biggest culprit, and for a second straight year the front office used the top of the draft to add cornerbacks. Kevin King was the first pick in 2017, and Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson were the first two players off the board in 2018 . There's a new defensive coordinator now, too: Mike Pettine.

Having a healthy Rodgers back was the biggest step the Packers could take toward returning to the playoffs, after their streak of eight straight appearances was stopped, but a deeper and stronger secondary was necessary to get back on that championship track.

"We all should be better for the negative experiences that we've encountered in the past," coach Mike McCarthy said.

NEW BOSS: The Lions took two more significant steps toward lifting a lagging ground game by drafting Kerryon Johnson in the second round out of Auburn and signing LeGarrette Blount, who has carried the ball for two of the past three Super Bowl winners. There's no more important addition in Detroit than Patricia, though.

Patricia was the defensive coordinator for the last six of his 14 seasons with New England, where he left with three Super Bowl rings. He's joining a franchise that has won one playoff game in the past 60 years, so the change in mindset and atmosphere he has brought to the Lions is even more important than his acumen in engineering a defense.

"He laid down the law. He gave us the rules, and he came in with energy Jerry Hughes Jersey ," linebacker Jarrad Davis said. "He came in, made it clear, gave us the expectations, and now we have something we can chase."

LETTING IT LOOSE: Over the past four regular seasons, the Vikings and Packers each went 39-25 and the Lions were close behind with a cumulative record of 36-28. The Bears went 19-45. That's why Nagy is here, after serving as the offensive coordinator in Kansas City last year.

The most important part of his job for now will be guiding quarterback Mitchell Trubisky , the second overall pick in the 2017 draft who was brought along carefully after taking over as the starter midway through his rookie season. Trubisky was also handed three new targets: wide receivers Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel and tight end Trey Burton.

"Just go out there and play freely and let your instincts take over," Trubisky said. "And then when we make mistakes, just go back and learn from it."

PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH: Vikings, Packers, Lions, Bears.

 Womens Jeremy Kerley Jersey

A mild burst of optimism regarding a Brock Osweiler rebirth has faded to the reality that Osweiler may not be the No. 2 quarterback in Miami Reggie Wayne Jersey , after all. For now, it appears that journeyman David Fales has the edge.

Via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Fales looked like the best of three backup contenders during offseason practices open to the media. At least one player seems to agree.

“His deep ball has been remarkable this offseason, between him and [receiver] Jakeem [Grant] and [tight end Mike] Gesicki,鈥?tight end MarQueis Gray said of Fales, per Jackson. 鈥淭hey鈥檝e been hooking up a lot.鈥?/p>

Fales finished the 2017 season with the Dolphins, playing in the regular-season finale and completing 29 of 42 passes (69 percent) for 265 yards. He’s the only contender for the No. 2 job who was on the roster last year; Osweiler and Bryce Petty joined the Dolphins in the offseason.

Still, Fales has a long way to go to become the primary backup to Ryan Tannehill.

鈥淲e felt like [keeping Fales] was a good first step for us and really we wanted to see how everything played out, because between free agency and the draft Leonard Floyd Jersey , you just never know how things are going to shake out,鈥?coach Adam Gase recently said, via Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post. 鈥淏y adding Brock and then Bryce, I think it鈥檚 been a good competition.

鈥淭hat鈥檚 really what we鈥檙e going to be doing going into training camp. We鈥檙e just going to let those guys compete and see who wins out.鈥?/p>

Gase made it clear that he won’t decide on a backup until August, or maybe September.

鈥淩ight now I don鈥檛 even want to go in that direction yet because I don鈥檛 have a great answer for it,鈥?Gase said. 鈥淚 want to see guys play in preseason games. I want to see kind of how training camp goes. That鈥檚 a lot of time there and there鈥檚 a lot of football to be played. I want those guys all competing. I鈥檓 hoping those guys all have the same mentality that they鈥檙e the guy to beat.鈥?/p>

Regardless of what happens, Gase still doesn’t plan to bring back Jay Cutler or otherwise add a veteran. It will be Tannehill and some combination of Fales, Osweiler, and/or Petty come Week One.

The Latest on the NFL conference championships. (all times local):

4:28 p.m.

Jacksonville has taken a 14-10 lead at halftime of the AFC championship.

The Jaguars were up 14-3 after an early touchdown pass from Blake Bortles to Marcedes Lewis and a run by Leonard Fournette.

Just before the half Nate Hairston Jersey , Tom Brady led the Patriots on a six-play, 85-yard drive that included two Jacksonville penalties. The drive ended with a 1-yard touchdown run by James White .

Bortles completed 13 of 15 passes for 155 yards in the half. Brady was 12 of 17 for 124 yards.

The last three times the Patriots have trailed by double digits in a playoff game, they came back to win.

– Kyle Hightower, reporting from Foxborough, Massachusetts

4:25 p.m.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is being looked at after a hard hit from Barry Church left him wobbly.

Gronkowski was running downfield on a passing route, looking back for the ball, when Church put a shoulder into him late in the second quarter. The 6-foot-6, 265-pound All-Pro tight end seemed shaken, and he left the field. He did not return for the remainder of the drive Henry Anderson Jersey , which was New England’s last in the first half.

There was no immediate announcement from the team about his condition.

Church was called for an unnecessary roughness penalty that gave the Patriots the ball at their own 40. A pass interference penalty on the next play put New England on the 13. Two plays later, James White ran it in to make it 14-10.

Jacksonville was also called for a delay of game that negated a first-down completion on their previous possession. In all, the Jaguars the Jaguars had five penalties for 62 yards in the first half; the Patriots had one for 10 yards.

– Jimmy Golen reporting from Foxborough, Massachusetts.

4 p.m.

Leonard Fournette has given the Jacksonville Jaguars a 14-3 lead over the heavily favored New England Patriots in the AFC championship game.

Fournette bulled his way into the end zone from 4 yards out midway through the second quarter . He carried the ball five times for 23 yards on the 10-play, 77-yard drive.

Fournette ran for 103 yards and three touchdowns in last week’s divisional round playoff victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is the first NFL rookie to surpass 100 yards rushing with three scores in a postseason game.

Fournette was limited in practice all week with a sore ankle. He was also involved in a fender-bender back in Jacksonville, but was not injured.

– Jimmy Golen reporting from Foxborough, Massachusetts.

3:45 p.m.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have taken the lead early in the second quarter of the AFC title game.

Blake Bortles found Marcedes Lewis wide open in the end zone from 4 yards out to give the Jags a 7-3 lead. Bortles was 5 for 5 for 66 yards on the drive.

Running back Corey Grant caught two passes for 44 yards on the 76-yard drive. He had only 41 total receiving yards during the season.

Tom Brady’s only comeback wins in an AFC championship were from a four-point deficit against Baltimore after the 2011 season and a three-point deficit against San Diego after the ’07 season. The Patriots also rallied from a four-point hole against Miami en route to the 1986 Super Bowl.

– Jimmy Golen reporting from Foxborough, Massachusetts.

3:20 p.m.

Tom Brady’s injured right hand looked fine on the Patriots’ opening drive in the AFC title game.

Brady was 6-for-6 for 57 yards on New England’s first possession against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He completed a 20-yarder to Danny Amendola on a fourth-and-1 to keep the drive going. But the Patriots settled for Stephen Gostkowski’s 31-yard field goal to take a 3-0 lead.

Brady reportedly injured his right hand and needed stitches when it was hit by a teammate’s helmet in practice. The five-time Super Bowl champion took the field on Sunday with a piece of black tape on the back of his hand.

The Patriots are in the conference championship game for the seventh straight year. They are hoping to go to their eighth Super Bowl of the Brady era.

– Jimmy Golen reporting from Foxborough, Massachusetts.

2:45 p.m.

New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft says the team needs to guard against ”jealousy and envy” from people who are trying to tear apart one of the most successful dynasties in NFL history.

Speaking on the pregame show before the Patriots played the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC championship game Andre Reed Jersey , Kraft said it’s only natural there would be some tension between him and coach Bill Belichick after 18 years together. Kraft says, ”But when you’ve got something good going, everyone’s got to get their egos checked in and try to hold it together.”

ESPN reported this month that Kraft essentially vetoed Belichick’s plan to set backup Jimmy Garoppolo up as the successor to five-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady. Instead, the Patriots traded Garoppolo to San Francisco for a second-round draft pick.

– Jimmy Golen reporting from Foxborough, Massachusetts.

2:35 p.m.

The Super Bowl matchup will be set after conference title games featuring three teams that have never won the big game.

The other participant is a five-time Super Bowl winner, the New England Patriots.

The Patriots and Tom Brady, nursing an injured right hand, start conference championship Sunday playing host to the Jacksonville Jaguars and quarterback Blake Bortles.

The night game with  Kostas Antetokounmpo Jersey

The future is back.

Twenty years ago Jerrell Freeman Jersey , Ken Griffey Jr. and the Seattle Mariners‘ marketing department put on one of the most memorable promotions in franchise history — which is saying a lot, since Funny Nose Glasses Night in 1982 drew more fans than Gaylord Perry’s 300th win two nights earlier — with Turn Ahead the Clock Day.

Instead of wearing retro uniforms like most teams do for Turn Back the Clock Day, the Mariners imagined what things might look like in 2027, when they will celebrate their 50th anniversary.

The Kingdome was turned into the “Biodome.” A DeLorean drove actor James Doohan, who played Scotty on “Star Trek,” to the mound to deliver the ceremonial first pitch.

The Mariners’ Moose mascot was replaced by Marty the Mariners Martian. Griffey was referred to as “Digit 24” instead of his last name by the public-address announcer.

Player positions were called quadrants. And the Mariners and their opponent that night, the Kansas City Royals, wore futuristic J'Mon Moore Jersey , untucked uniforms that Griffey, the Hall of Fame center fielder, helped design.

According to Kevin Martinez, the marketing director for the Mariners in 1998, it was Griffey’s idea to change the Mariners’ colors from navy, teal and white to crimson, black and silver. Junior wore his hat backward and spray-painted his glove and spikes silver.

“There were always some surprises,” Griffey recently told The Athletic. “You never knew what was going to happen that night. It was like Jamison Crowder Jersey , ‘Stay tuned.'”

Twenty years later, the Mariners and Royals will reprise Turn Ahead the Clock Night when they meet Saturday night at Safeco Field.

Royals outfielder Jorge Bonifacio is certainly looking to the future after making his season debut in Friday night’s 4-1 loss to the Mariners.

Bonifacio missed the first 80 games of the season while serving a Major League Baseball suspension after testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug in spring training.

“I’m so excited to be back with the team,” said Bonifacio, who batted .255 and hit 17 home runs as a rookie last season.

Bonifacio batted .392 in 13 games for Triple-A Omaha before being activated. He batted fifth Friday, going 0-for-3.

“We’re glad to have him back,” Royals manager Ned Yost said. “He was swinging very well (at Omaha).

“I mean, the kid hit 17 homers last year. … Yeah, he was going to hit in the middle of the order Earnest Byner Jersey , until all this surfaced.”

Bonifacio played left field Friday to give Alex Gordon a day off, but likely will be in right field Saturday.

“We are going to move him around. He’s going to play,” Yost said. “He’s going to play some right, play some left. What difference does it make?”

On the mound, right-handers Jason Hammel of the Royals (2-9, 5.34 ERA) and Felix Hernandez of the Mariners (7-6, 5.10) will be looking for vintage performances.

Hammel, who won 15 games for the World Series champion Chicago Cubs in 2016 Doug Flutie Jersey , has lost four straight starts — in which the Royals have scored a total of five runs. The graduate of South Kitsap High School in nearby Port Orchard, Wash., is 3-3 with a 3.53 ERA in eight career appearances against Seattle, including seven starts.

Hernandez, the American League’s 2010 Cy Young Award winner, is 6-6 with a 3.15 ERA in 15 career starts against the Royals. That includes an 8-3 victory on April 10 in Kansas City in which he pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing three runs and six hits.

Ottawa Senators assistant general manager Randy Lee can return to Canada after pleading not guilty to allegations he made lewd comments and rubbed the shoulders of a 19-year-old hotel shuttle driver while in Buffalo for the NHL combine.

Neither Lee nor his lawyer commented after the hearing Monday in Buffalo City Court.

Lee was required to surrender his passport after the arrest last week on a second-degree harassment charge. The alleged incident happened May 30 following an NHL event.

He’s scheduled to return to court June 22.

Lee faces a fine and up to 15 days in jail if found guilty of the violation. Erie County District Attorney John Flynn has said he doesn’t expect to pursue jail time.

Lee has spent 23 seasons with the Senators and just completed his fourth as assistant GM.

Offensive lineman Jack Mewhort has missed 17 of the 32 games that the Colts played over the last two seasons because of knee injuries Harrison Phillips Jersey , but the team still re-signed him shortly after the start of free agency this offseason.

Mewhort said that it is “an unreal feeling” to get that show of support from the Colts despite his injury issues, although the team hasn’t held a starting spot at guard open for him. They signed Matthew Slauson before drafting Quenton Nelson and Braden Smith in the first two rounds of the draft, but Mewhort believes he’ll be back to the form he flashed earlier in his career this season.

“I do believe that I’m going to be able to be out there and be playing at a high level,” Mewhort said, via the team’s website. “I’m getting stronger every day. I’m feeling better every day. I’ve been moving around on the field, and I’m feeling good. At this point in my career, obviously I’m dinged up, and like you guys said, I’ve had to deal with some stuff. But for all that being said, I feel pretty darn good, and like I said, having the Colts show faith like this is making me feel even better.”

Mewhort also has experience at tackle, so he could find his way into the mix on the right side after spending OTAs playing guard on the second unit of a deeper Colts offensive line. Depth is not something Indianapolis has enjoyed up front in recent seasons and the hope is that it will translate to better play whether Mewhort makes it to that high level or not.

When he was much younger and brasher Jeff Heath Jersey , LeSean McCoy recalled informing the league's older running backs of how he was going to one day chase them down in the record books.

A month shy of his 30th birthday, the Buffalo Bills veteran is suddenly beginning to realize how the tables have turned.

"I hang out in the offseason with a lot of running backs like (Todd) Gurley and (Le'Veon) Bell, and the way they view me is like the old head baller, " McCoy said Tuesday, referring to the Rams and Steelers star running backs. "It drives me. Now it's like reversed. Now it's 'OK, I'm still an elite player, but these young guys are creeping on me.'

"So I've got to continue to do better and be better."

Nothing has slowed him down yet, entering his fourth year in Buffalo and 10th in the NFL.

McCoy is coming off a season in which he had 1,138 yards rushing, and 1,586 yards from scrimmage (including 448 receiving) for the fifth-best totals of his career.

"What can I say, it's been a great ride. And I look forward to having a big year again," McCoy said Bobby Massie Jersey , speaking to reporters for the first time this offseason, and after the Bills opened a three-day mandatory minicamp.

"I'm excited about this year. I'm excited to be back in that offense where it's hitting on all cylinders."

How quickly the offense can begin clicking is an uncertainty given the offseason turnover.

With third-year starter Tyrod Taylor traded to Cleveland, Buffalo is breaking in a new quarterback after drafting Wyoming's Josh Allen in the first round and signing AJ McCarron in free agency. Brian Daboll takes over as coordinator after Rick Dennison was fired in January. And the line's being revamped after center Eric Wood retired and guard Richie Incognito was released.

Though he'll miss Taylor, McCoy likes what he's seen from Allen, who is being developed behind McCarron and second-year holdover Nathan Peterman.

"I've got to be honest. He's pretty good, and I'm not a big fan of rookies," McCoy said of Allen.

"It's still early. I don't want to make him Jim Kelly already, he just has to learn different things," McCoy said, referring to the Bills Hall of Fame quarterback. "He's got a lot on his plate. But other than that, just talent-wise and intelligence, he has it to be a starting quarterback and also a franchise quarterback."

McCoy's biggest concern is losing Wood and Incognito, who played big roles in helping Buffalo rank no worse than sixth in the league in yards rushing in each of the past three years.

"I would be lying if I told you it didn't matter Demarcus Lawrence Jersey ," he said.

Otherwise, McCoy was in a playful mood.

He questioned how he fell from 27th to 30th on the NFL Network's top 100 player rankings.

"I think I should never go past 25," said McCoy, whose jersey number happens to be 25. "If the 25 dude's better than me, I don't see it. But that's just my opinion. And I'm known to have an opinion, and you can quote that for sure: 25. Bam! Always."

He bantered with McCarron after the quarterback praised the running back before recalling how he was still in high school when McCoy played college.

"Other than the age, you did pretty good," he said to McCarron.

When it comes to age, McCoy has all but run out of contemporaries to pass. His 10,092 yards rushing rank third among active running backs, behind only Frank Gore (14,026) and Adrian Peterson (12,276) Travis Frederick Jersey , and 29th on the career list.

What particularly stands out has been McCoy's consistency. He's among only 15 players to top 1,100 yards from scrimmage in eight straight seasons, according to Pro Football Reference.

McCoy was wowed when informed the list includes his idol Barry Sanders, who topped 1,100 yards in 10 straight seasons, and that he's tied with Bills' Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas.

"Thurman has eight? Well, I'm going to get nine this year," said McCoy, who has befriended Thomas since arriving in Buffalo.

After a brief pause, McCoy added: "But Thurman's better than I am."

Ryan Tannehill dropped back to pass and the pocket quickly collapsed http://www.chicagobearsteamonline.com/prince-amukamara-jersey , making it just like old times.

An onrushing end merely waved as he went by because Wednesday's drills involved no contact, which spared Tannehill a blow. Instead, he scooted away on his reconstructed left knee toward the sideline and encountered a linebacker, who also pulled up at the last moment.

The hits will come soon enough, but for now Tannehill is healthy and optimistic about leading a turnaround by the Miami Dolphins.

He's practicing this week for the first time since a torn left ACL in training camp ended his 2017 season before it began. A serious injury to the same knee forced him to miss the final four games in 2016, meaning he hasn't played in nearly 18 months.

"It was a long year, some dark times," Tannehill said Sean Taylor Jersey , speaking publicly for the first time since he was hurt last August.

Tannehill has received medical clearance without limitations and isn't even wearing a knee brace this week, although he plans to wear one in games.

"It's purely to prevent what started the whole train wreck," he said.

Tannehill said his return to practice stirred painful memories of watching workouts last year while sitting inside the team complex, his injured leg in a brace and propped on a chair.

"It feels amazing to be back out there," he said. "It has been a lot of work to put a helmet back on and step on the grass again. I was just telling the guys, I can remember sitting in the cafeteria looking through the glass like a little kid that's not allowed to go outside and play."

Also back were linebacker Raekwon McMillan and cornerback Tony Lippett, both of whom missed the entire 2017 season because of injuries. The entire roster was on hand, although 35-year-old running back Frank Gore was on the field only briefly and won't be involved in drills much this spring to keep him healthy.

Tannehill Zay Jones Jersey , a starter since his rookie season in 2012, has never played in the postseason. But he and the Dolphins are optimistic he can regain the form he showed in 2016, when he enjoyed the best stretch of his career and helped put the team in playoff contention before his injury.

"I feel like I kind of went on a run there," Tannehill said. "I felt like I was finally starting to play really good football, being in command of the offense and understanding what we were trying to accomplish with every play call."

With Jay Cutler as an emergency replacement for Tannehill, the Dolphins slipped to 6-10 last year. Gase is so confident about Tannehill that they didn't draft a quarterback last month.

"It's great to have him back out there," Gase said. "As long as we don't have a setback, I feel good. We're in a good place. I've seen him move around just as well as he ever has."

Newcomer Josh Sitton http://www.greenbaypackersteamonline.com/montravius-adams-jersey , a four-time Pro Bowl guard, offered an endorsement of his new QB after just two practices together. Sitton took particular note of one strike Tannehill threw.

"He rolled out after a play action and was running to his left," Sitton said. "I thought, 'That's pretty impressive.'"

Tannehill didn't miss a game in his first four NFL seasons, enduring 212 sacks behind a leaky line without serious injury. He said he's not worried about his knee holding up, and won't be thinking about it on the field.

The knee probably won't be tested with contact until the preseason in August.

"I'm never eager to get hit," Tannehill said with a chuckle. "I'd be sadistic. But I don't think about it any different than I would any other season going into a new season. It's a physical game, and I love that."

ALLEN PARK http://www.dallascowboysteamonline.com/jamize-olawale-jersey , Mich. (AP) — Jake Rudock is back with the Detroit Lions after being signed to their practice squad.

The Lions waived Rudock as they cut their roster down to 53 players by Saturday’s deadline. That move paved the way for Matt Cassel to be the team’s backup quarterback behind Matthew Stafford. But the Lions announced several more moves Sunday.

Detroit signed Rudock, linebackers Alex Barrett and Darnell Sankey, cornerback Mike Ford, wide receiver Chris Lacy, safety Rolan Milligan and offensive lineman Dan Skipper to the practice squad. The Lions were also awarded offensive lineman Andrew Donnal from Baltimore and cornerback Dee Virgin from Houston, both via waivers.

Detroit waived center Leo Koloamatangi and tackle Brian Mihalik.

 Mikal Bridges Jersey
New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton says the club has waived receiver Brandon Coleman and offensive lineman John Fullington.

Both players have been sidelined recently with injuries.

Coleman started training camp on the team's physically unable to perform list. Payton Eric Kush Jersey , who discussed the moves after a practice at Tulane on Sunday night, says the receiver has hip and neck injuries that both will take longer to rehabilitate than initially anticipated.

Payton says he anticipates that Coleman will return to the Saints' active roster again. The coach did not specify when, but it is unlikely to be this season because Coleman will wind up on injured reserve unless he's claimed by another club.

Fullington has missed several recent practices with an undisclosed injury. But Payton says the lineman is slated to visit a physician who specializes in sports hernia and groin area repairs.

One key to fantasy football success comes from looking at strength of schedule. It shouldn't be the only way you build a winning squad, but matchups help make sure you're playing meaningful games in December rather than looking ahead to baseball.

Based on the NFL's scheduling formula, the Houston Texans enter the regular season with the easiest docket. Houston's opponents for 2018 had a combined .453 winning percentage last season. That alone has been a reason why quarterback Deshaun Watson has climbed into the top 40 picks in most fantasy drafts Nick Kwiatkoski Jersey , and is also a cause of renewed hope in running back Lamar Miller. The Texans play each of the five teams that made the first six picks in this year's NFL draft.

A healthy J.J. Watt extends into the deeper phase of fantasy drafts, especially if Watt returns to the Hall of Fame-caliber player he had been from 2012-15. Houston's defense has been among the first six taken off fantasy draft boards and would be a bargain of sorts should Watt re-emerge as the game's best defender.

Another team with a beneficial schedule is the loaded Steelers offense, which will play a schedule of opponents with a .477 winning percentage. Anyone in position to draft either running back Le'Veon Bell or receiver Antonio Brown now has more fodder, while receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster_who also has risen draft boards this month_sits on the outer edge of being a top 35-40 selection.

Looking for easier schedules can also help when seeking a sleeper pick. Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota flies under the radar yet could be fantasy gold as Tennessee has the second-easiest schedule (.465). Wideout Mike Williams' appeal is bolstered by the Chargers and their 24th-ranked docket (.480), while the Broncos' defense has the chance to return to their dominant ways with a schedule tied for 25th (.477).

On the flip side http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/marcus-murphy-jersey , those looking at Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford should tread lightly, as Detroit has the second-toughest schedule (.535). A schedule with a .523 winning percentage (tied for fifth-highest) is enough to slow down the lofty talk of a Browns revival, along with requiring a second look at the likes of receiver Josh Gordon and running back Carlos Hyde.

Again, strength of schedule isn't a be-all, end-all when considering a player. The Packers have the league's toughest schedule (.539) http://www.indianapoliscoltsteamonline.com/joe-haeg-jersey , but Aaron Rodgers is consistently the first quarterback off the board, while the bevvy of offensive talent the Saints have stockpiled will still go high despite their third-toughest schedule.

OSUNA CLOSING AGAIN

Controversial closer Roberto Osuna is now the full-time stopper for the Astros after earning his first save for the World Series champions on Wednesday. The decision to elevate him in the ninth inning coincides with Houston snapping out of a funk to take two of three in a critical series against the Mariners, leaving Houston one game ahead of Oakland in the American League West.

The combination of his devastating arsenal and the potential for high-leverage situations could see him approach double digits in saves along with enhancing the strikeout category by season's end.

RASKY BUSINESS

Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask may no longer be a top-five player at his position, but don't expect regression this season despite his 5-7 record and .903 save percentage in the postseason.

Rask enters 2018-19 with five straight 30-win seasons and while his save percentage has crested since his .930 mark in 2013-14, he remains a reliable net-minder who could become a value pick if he dips past the 80th overall pick in fantasy drafts.

Just about everything the Ball family does gets attention http://www.indianapoliscoltsteamonline.com/john-simon-jersey , and LiAngelo Ball’s pre-draft workout with the Lakers on Tuesday was no exception.

About two dozen members of the media watched Ball’s final drills while Magic Johnson and Lakers coach Luke Walton looked on. Lakers guard Lonzo Ball, LiAngelo’s older brother, was there for the workout as well.

”I feel like it went good,” the younger Ball said. ”It’s always fun being in here doing things I want to get better at. It was a good workout.”

LaVar Ball has been outspoken about his desire for all three of his sons – Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo, the youngest – to play for the Lakers. The Lakers have the 25th pick in the first round next month, though LiAngelo Ball’s draft prospects are uncertain. He wasn’t even scheduled to be a starter at UCLA before leaving the program after being indefinitely suspended for an international incident last year in China. He also had a stint with the professional Lithuanian team Vytautas.

”It was good that (Lonzo) was here, but if he wasn’t here I would’ve been doing the same thing,” LiAngelo Ball said. ”I don’t really pay attention to who’s here and who’s not. I just do what I do.”

”I showed I can knock down shots and get some wins within the 2-on-2 and 3-on-3s T.J. Green Jersey ,” LiAngelo said. ”I showed I can play together.”

LiAngelo Ball confirmed that he has an upcoming workout with the Golden State Warriors. He also said he’ll play in the NBA summer league, but he is not sure which team he’ll play for yet.

As far as what he believes his NBA draft prospects are, Ball said: ”I’m not sure what’s going on with the draft. I’m just playing my hardest and whatever team thinks I can produce for them, that’s who I’ll play for.”

Ball and two teammates became an international story when they were arrested for shoplifting during UCLA’s exhibition basketball trip to China last year. They were all suspended indefinitely, and LaVar Ball pulled his son out of school while he was serving that suspension.

Asked what he’ll tell NBA teams about why he left UCLA, Ball said: ”I don’t really remember too much about that. That’s a closed chapter in my life. I just moved on. Went overseas. Just learned from over there. Came back.”

LaVar had already pulled LaMelo out of high school to homeschool him and the two went to play professionally in Lithuania.

The move was heavily scrutinized.

”I think it prepared me a little better as far as going against grown men that care about their job every day,” LiAngelo Ball said. ”If you’re not producing out there, they’ll fire you real quick.”

During the workout, Ball was reunited with former UCLA teammate Thomas Welsh Chase Daniel Jersey , a 7-foot center who played for the Bruins for four years. They practiced together at UCLA but didn’t play together there.

”I think he’s the same guy,” Welsh said. ”He’s a hard-working kid. We had a chance to play with him on 3-on-3 and 2-on-2 live action stuff. He’s a lot of fun to play with. He works his tail off. It was really good to be back on the court with him again today.”

Among others at the Lakers workout Tuesday were guard Jaylen Adams (St. Bonaventure), guard Devon Hall (Virginia), guard Tyus Battle (Syracuse) and Dusan Ristic (Arizona).

The New Jersey Devils have held a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference every day since winning their season opener on Oct. 7.

Yet with only five games remaining on their schedule, the Devils are clinging to the eighth and final playoff berth in the East, trying to stave off a late-season push by the surging Florida Panthers.

On Saturday night at the Prudential Center, the Devils (40-28-9) look to take another step closer to their first playoff appearance in six years when they host the New York Islanders (32-36-10).

The Devils are 6-2-1 in their last nine games, coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday, a defeat that snapped a three-game winning streak that solidified New Jersey’s hold on the second wild card in the East.

“The last stretch of games John Miller Jersey , we’ve been playing some good hockey and finding ways to string wins together,” said Devils winger Kyle Palmieri, who has four goals in his last three games. “We have to reset quickly after (the loss to Pittsburgh) and get ready for a big weekend and see where this weekend takes us.”

After hosting the Islanders in the finale of a four-game homestand on Saturday, New Jersey travels to Montreal to skate against the Canadiens on Sunday, setting the stage for the final week of the regular season.

“It’s exciting, every night the buildings are electric, the games seem to all go down to the wire with exciting atmospheres,” said Devils forward Blake Coleman. “These are fun games to play in, and we’re fortunate to be in the position to play meaningful games.”

Keith Kinkaid has been the backbone of New Jersey’s final kick at the end of the regular season. He has started eight of the last nine games in goal Cody Parkey Jersey , stepping up in the wake of injury and poor play of No. 1 netminder Cory Schneider to post a career-high 22 wins this season.

Kinkaid made 30 or more saves in each of his last eight starts since March 10.

“Keith has had our back down the stretch,” said New Jersey’s leading scorer Taylor Hall.

The Devils are 2-0-1 against New York this season, with Kinkaid starting both of the team’s wins in the season series.

The Islanders are stumbling down the stretch, just 3-11-4 in their last 18 games following Friday’s 5-4 home-ice loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. One bright spot in the most recent defeat was that team captain John Tavares scored a power-play goal to reach 80 points for the third time in his career.

“You’d like the production to lead to some good results for the team,” Tavares told reporters Friday.

New York was without two of its key forwards against the Maple Leafs. Casey Cizikas and Josh Bailey both sat out with upper-body injuries. Cizikas is ruled out for Saturday’s contest while Bailey is a game-time decision.

In addition, the status of veteran goaltender Jaroslav Halak is unknown for the game in New Jersey. Halak was scratched due to an illness Friday and rookie Christopher Gibson started, while Thomas Greiss backed him up after being activated off injured reserve.

The Islanders are playing out the string after being eliminated from playoff contention earlier in the week for the second season in a row.

“We are looking to play well and finish strong,” said Islanders coach Doug Weight. “We are all professionals here.”

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Latest on Mychal Kendricks http://www.washingtonredskinsteamonline.com/rob-kelley-jersey , the NFL linebacker charged with insider trading Wednesday and later released by the Cleveland Browns (all times local):

8:40 p.m.

Cleveland Browns linebacker Mychal Kendricks was released by the team Wednesday night, hours after being charged by federal prosecutors with insider trading.

Kendricks signed a one-year contract with the Browns in June after winning a Super Bowl title last season with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Earlier, U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain said Kendricks made approximately $1.2 million profit off illegal, nonpublic information in four separate major deals. Kendricks issued a statement admitting his guilt and apologizing. He expressed regret and accepted “full responsibility” for his actions.

Kendricks did not travel with the Browns for their Thursday night exhibition finale in Detroit, and the team decided to part ways with the 27-year-old after arriving in Michigan.

Kendricks is facing possible prison time and further discipline from the NFL for violating its personal conduct policy.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — Whether they were loading up around Mitchell Trubisky or swinging a last-minute blockbuster trade for Khalil Mack, the offseason was all about the quarterback for the Chicago Bears.

Develop their own — and harass their opponent’s.

Now Cameron Meredith Jersey , it’s time to see how it all comes together. But the Bears sure look like they are poised for bigger things after four straight last-place finishes in the NFC North.

They spent much of the offseason surrounding Trubisky with the weapons they believe he needs to succeed, hiring the offensive-minded Matt Nagy to replace the fired John Fox after a 5-11 season and adding play-makers such as former Jacksonville Pro Bowl receiver Allen Robinson.

The biggest addition? That would be Mack, acquired from Oakland on Saturday.

A two-time All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowl selection, he has 40 1/2 sacks in four seasons. Mack gives an already solid defense an elite edge rusher, though he’s not the only important addition.

The Bears added a potential cornerstone player when they drafted inside linebacker Roquan Smith at No. 8 overall.

Clearly, general manager Ryan Pace is thinking big.

The Bears have made the playoffs once since the 2006 team’s run to the Super Bowl. They have five straight seasons without a winning record. And they have a fan base that’s antsy yet energized.

Here are some things to know as the Bears get ready to open the season at Green Bay on Sept. 9:

NEW MONSTER: Mack is the best pass rusher acquired by the Bears since Julius Peppers left Carolina to sign with them in 2010.

His arrival could turn a defense that ranked 10th overall into an elite unit. And it gives coordinator Vic Fangio — who re-signed after getting passed over for the head coaching job — a major weapon. More pressure on the quarterback could lead to more interceptions for the Monsters of the Midway after they had one of the lowest totals in the NFL last season with eight.

That was a big sticking point for a defense that ranked seventh against the pass, ninth in scoring and 11th against the run. The Bears also tied for seventh in sacks.

NEXT STEP: Whether he makes the sort of leap Carson Wentz and Jared Goff did in their second seasons Bryce Callahan Jersey , the Bears are banking on Trubisky to take at least a few big strides. They also expect him to hit a few more bumps along the way.

“The first time we get out there and play a real game in Lambeau and we play that first regular-season game, there’s gonna be hiccups,” Nagy said. “He’s gonna learn from that. Then we just continue to grow as the games go by. Mitch can handle all of it.”

Trubisky threw for 2,193 yards and completed 59.4 percent of his passes in 12 starts last season. But the No. 2 pick in the 2017 draft also threw as many touchdowns as interceptions (seven).

But he’s playing in a more open and aggressive system with some new receivers, something the Bears sorely lacked. Besides Robinson, they also added receivers Taylor Gabriel and rookie Anthony Miller, as well as tight end Trey Burton.

NEW TERRITORY: Though he comes with a reputation for developing quarterbacks Marcus Martin Jersey , one thing Nagy does not have is experience as a head coach. He didn’t even start calling plays until late last season with Kansas City, where coach Andy Reid handled those chores. And he never really had to worry about the defense or special teams until now.

“It’s one of those things, some coaches are offensive, some coaches are defensive, and he’s a guy that can really rally all the guys,” guard Kyle Long said.

The Bears certainly needed a lift after going 14-34 over three seasons under Fox. That gave him the second-worst winning percentage in franchise history.

ON THE MEND: Almost as important as Trubisky’s development is the health of Robinson and Long. Both players are coming back from injuries and hoping to flash their old Pro Bowl form.

Robinson tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during last year’s opener with Jacksonville. The 2015 Pro Bowl receiver was injured on the Jaguars’ third play and missed the remainder of the season.

Long, a three-time Pro Bowl lineman O. J. Simpson Jersey , is healthy after two injury-filled seasons. He’s coming off shoulder, elbow and neck surgeries, not to mention a major ankle injury in recent years.

CATCHING UP: The Bears were drawn to Smith partly because of his speed. Seeing how quickly he can catch up following a holdout wasn’t what they had in mind.

The inside linebacker from Georgia showed up 30 days after rookies were supposed to report to camp. He was the final pick in this year’s NFL draft to sign by the time he agreed to a four-year contract that guarantees $18.5 million and includes an $11.5 million signing bonus. There was a holdup over contract language.
