Not me, I can tell you that. Regardless, the Buccaneers are headed into a Monday night tilt with the struggling Pittsburgh Steelers after knocking off the defending champs Authentic DeSean Jackson Jersey , 27-21.Ryan Fitzpatrick had a historic showing behind another solid performance from the offensive line. Defensively, the Bucs did enough to limit Philadelphia despite Nick Foles throwing for 334 yards and a touchdown.Winners1. Ryan FitzpatrickWhat more can you say about Fitzmagic? He has been nothing short of spectacular through two games and history is backing that up. Fitzpatrick became the first quarterback in NFL history to have back-to-back games with 400+ yards and four touchdown passes. He’s totaled 819 yards and eight touchdowns with just one interception while completing 78.7% of his passes. And I’m not even mentioning the biggest stat, two wins. Obviously, Fitzpatrick will have to come down to earth again eventually, but he didn’t against the Eagles. He tossed two 75-yard touchdown passes while leading Tampa Bay to 436 yards of total offenses against one of the top defenses in the league.2. Receiving CorpsYes, this winners and losers is starting to mirror the one from a week ago, but the Bucs receiving corps was money again on Sunday. DeSean Jackson is leading the NFL in receiving yards after hauling in four passes for 129 yards and a touchdown. He scored on Tampa Bay’s first offensive play and was a big-play threat throughout the game. The chemistry between Fitzpatrick and Jackson has been on full display throughout the first two weeks.Outside of a fumble and drop, Mike Evans turned in another good performance, hauling in 10 of his 12 targets for 83 yards and a score. OJ Howard had a 75-yard catch and run where Chris Godwin fought hard downfield to seal off an Eagles defender from making a tackle. And then Godwin caught a touchdown later in the same half. Fitzpatrick has played great but his receivers are making things even easier on him. 3. Kwon AlexanderThe heart and soul of the Buccaneers defense turned in another consistent outing against Philadelphia on Sunday. Kwon Alexander tied for third on the team with seven tackles Adam Humphries Jersey , three tackles for loss, and one of the teams three sacks on the afternoon. The sack was his most impressive play of the day as Alexander blitzed on a passing down and hit Foles as he tried to throw. The ball fell out of Foles hands and bounced downfield before rookie Carlton Davis recovered it. Alexander has staked his claim as one of the top linebackers in the league through the first two weeks of 2018.Losers1. Rushing offenseTampa Bay was excellent through the air on Sunday but the offense has to become more consistent running the ball to keep defenses honest moving forward. The Buccaneers totaled just 43 yards on 23 rushing attempts in the win against the Eagles. And when it came down to it, they weren’t successful running the ball in the clutch. After Philadelphia scored to cut its deficit to six, the Bucs needed to run off as much clock as possible. With three timeouts, Tampa Bay needed to pound the rock and force the Eagles to use them.Peyton Barber would run six times on the eight-play drive, netting a loss of one yard. That can’t continue to happen throughout the season. 2. Second half defenseAs a whole, the Buccaneers defense was solid in the opening half of the game. They limited Philadelphia’s big plays and came up with stops at the right times. However, they left much to be desired over the final 30 minutes.Foles and the Eagles offense exploited some of Tampa Bay’s aggressiveness with screens and short passes which led to some of their success. However, that’s an area that the Bucs obviously need to work on after Alvin Kamara’s performance in week one.Going forward Demar Dotson Jersey , the most important thing is the development of the young defensive backfield and the health of starting cornerback Brent Grimes. It’d also be a boost for this team to get Vita Vea back on the inside. 3. Jameis WinstonI’m reaching for threads here, I know. But could Fitzpatrick and the Buccaneers hot start force Dirk Koetter to reevaluate the teams plans at quarterback? This offense has exploded behind the arm and decision making of the 35-year-old journeyman. I mean, he’s been historically great according to the numbers thus far. Obviously, Jameis Winston is the future of this franchise going forward. But if Fitzpatrick continues to play well and Tampa Bay continues to win, can you really pull him out? DeSean Jackson doesn’t think so, “Honestly man, he’s playing on fire right now, and the way the team is rallying behind him and just playing lights out football you have to kind of honor it. You can’t take the hot man out.”

On Sunday www.authenticsclevelandbrowns.com , take on the New Orleans Saints. To help preview a few topics from the Saints’ perspective, we reached out to Christopher Dunnells from Canal Street Chronicles and exchanged five questions with him. Enjoy! The Saints saw Bucs receivers getting behind them early and often in Week 1.Photo by Jonathan Bachman/Getty ImagesPokorny: “I’m sure the Saints allowing 48 points to the Bucs last week was just as surprising to you as it was the rest of the league. Was the Saints’ secondary the biggest culprit?”Dunnells: “I think you would start the finger-pointing by looking at the defensive line. No matter how good the secondary is (although they admittedly struggled mightily as a unit in Week 1), opposing wide receivers are eventually going to get open when the quarterback has all day to throw. When there is absolutely no pass rush to speak of for the Saints, it’s hard to expect the secondary to maintain coverage that long. As the defensive line play improves, so should the rest of the Saints defense. Hopefully, for the Saints and their fans, Alex Okafor returns to form, Cam Jordan shows why he’s a Pro Bowl caliber DE, and Marcus Davenport continues to show improvement rushing the passer.”The Saints are being patient with first-round pick Marcus Davenport.Photo by Tom Pennington/Getty ImagesPokorny: “The Saints drafted DE Marcus Davenport with the 14th overall pick of this year’s draft, and New Orleans paid a premium to move up to get him. I see he only played 35% of the snaps in Week 1. How has he been this preseason and in his debut?”Dunnells: “Marcus Davenport was never drafted to be a Week 1 starter, in spite of the high price the Saints paid to move up in the 1st Round of the 2018 NFL Draft to select him. Instead, Davenport is a raw project with all of the potential in the world. He was held out of the start of the preseason due to injury, but was able to show bursts of what made the Saints value him so highly in Week 1. He had a great sack of Ryan Fitzpatrick that was erroneously ruled a roughing the passer penalty and showed amazing speed (did you know he runs a 40 faster than many of the Saints offensive players, including Mark Ingram?) to pursue sweeping runs from the back side. As long as Saints fans can be patient with his growth and development, Davenport should be just fine.”Well, hello there, Carl Nassib.Photo by Wesley Hitt/Getty ImagesPokorny: “According to PFF, ‘The Saints’ offensive line was one of the best in the NFL when it came to protecting Brees in 2017, but the unit struggled against Tampa Bay’s strengthened defensive line on Sunday afternoon.’ I only see one sack allowed by the Saints, and plenty of offense. Would you agree that the line struggled? Either way, which position on the line is the weakest?”Dunnells: “I would disagree mightily that the Saints offensive line struggled in pass protection in Week 1. Just watching the game live, it seemed Drew Brees had plenty of time to make reads and get rid of the ball. Granted, he often was able to take advantage of the first read in his progression and got rid of the ball quickly, but he didn’t seem rushed Cleveland Browns T-Shirt , hurried, or hit often. The offensive line as a unit, when healthy, is pretty strong across the board. The problem is with the “when healthy” part, though. In Week 1, Andrus Peat sat due to injury in favor of Josh LeRibeus, who filled in admirably in Peat’s absence. Still, Peat’s spot at left guard was definitely the weakest spot in the line. In Week 2, Peat looks to be ready to make his season debut, so the Saints should have an entire healthy group up front. When healthy, the weakest player might still be Peat, but that’s saying something when your former first round pick (who is a solid contributor in both pass protection and run blocking) is the ‘worst’ of the bunch.”Ted Ginn is still going strong.Photo by Wesley Hitt/Getty ImagesPokorny: “Michael Thomas posted an incredible stat line to open the year -- 16 catches (on 17 targets) for 180 yards and 1 touchdown. Alvin Kamura can hurt teams in a lot of ways too. After those two weapons, is Ted Ginn the next best thing the team has to offer? If so, do fans find that ‘good enough?’”Dunnells: “Eh. Maybe Ginn. Maybe Benjamin Watson at TE, who is definitely one of Drew’s most trusted options when a big reception is needed to move the chains. But when everyone is healthy and going right, I would say the #3 option in the passing attack is going to wind up being WR Cameron Meredith (formerly of the Chicago Bears) or WR Tre’Quan Smith (rookie out of UCF). Then there’s also RB Mark Ingram, who the Saints should have back by Week 5. Between Watson, Ginn, Meredith, Ingram, and Smith, on top of Thomas and Kamara, the Saints offense has plenty of weapons for Drew Brees - who doesn’t need many.”LB Alex Anzalone has played well for the Saints when given a chance.Photo by Chris Graythen/Getty ImagesPokorny: “Tell us about one player who Browns fans might not know much about, but who appears to be playing (or trying to play) a key role for the Saints this year.”Dunnells: “The aforementioned Tre’Quan Smith would be a good one Cleveland Browns Hats , but let’s go with LB Alex Anzalone. He’s in his second season in the NFL, but only played in a few games in 2017 after getting placed on season-ending IR. He’s a little light in the pads at only 238 lbs and he has a tendency to make poor reads in coverage, but he’s incredibly fast for a linebacker and athletic enough to make plays on the ball when he’s cover opposing receivers. The Saints still aren’t 100% sure who makes up their starting linebacking corps, but Anzalone definitely fits into the puzzle somewhere. If he can take a step forward in 2018, the Saints should have another young and promising defender to build around.”Thanks again to Chris for taking the time to answer my questions. The Cleveland Browns have received little to no respect from the officials this season. It started in Week 1, when a roughing the passer call against defensive end Myles Garrett wiped out a key third-down stop. The league later admitted the call was wrong, but little good that did the Browns. The questionable calls have continued on a weekly basis, from a negated strip sack and reversed first-down call in Oakland, a non-call on a blatant defensive holding against wide receiver Jarvis Landry against the Baltimore Ravens and, perhaps most blatantly, a non-call on the most obvious false start in NFL history last Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. It may have taken six weeks, but Garrett has had enough and vented his frustrations on Friday, according to Mary Kay Cabot at cleveland.com:Garrett has grown into not only an impact player on the field, but a team leader off the field. It is also nice to see a player finally speak up about the ongoing issues with the officiating.Normally those type of comments are delivered by the head coach, however, and not a second-year player. Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin had no trouble questioning the officials recently - and that came after a win! After all, if the head coach is not going to advocate for his team, who is?Browns head coach and self-proclaimed CEO Hue Jackson has certainly had more than his share of opportunities to speak up through the media, most notably after the game against the Raiders, when he had this to say about the officiating, according to clevelandbrowns.com:Thankfully for the Browns, Garrett is there to fill the void left by the head coach.Hopefully someone at the NFL office is listening.

Jackson had multiple current Browns assistant coaches on his Raiders staff in 2011, including senior offensive assistant Al Saunders, OL coach Bob Wylie and defensive quality control coach Eric Sanders.Raiders defensive coordinator Paul Guenther held the same role with the Cincinnati Bengals for the past 13 seasons, most of which were with Browns QBs coach Ken Zampese and Jackson.Raiders senior defensive assistant Jim O’Neil was the Browns defensive coordinator from 2014-15.Browns WR coach Adam Henry spent five seasons (2009-11) as an assistant coach with the Raiders.Browns Assistant OL coach Mark Hutson spent three seasons (2012-14) as the Raiders TE coach.HistoryThe Browns have a 10-12 all-time record against the Raiders. However, the Browns began the series 1-9, and have since been 9-3.The last time these two teams met was on September 27, 2015, when the Raiders beat the Browns by a final score of 27-20. Down 20-3 in the third quarter, the Browns tried to rally behind QB Josh McCown with touchdown passes to TE Gary Barnidge and WR Travis Benjamin. Barnidge led the team with 6 catches for 105 yards. Cleveland’s comeback attempt at the end of the game was stopped when McCown’s pass to what appeared to be an open Benjamin streaking down the sideline was intercepted by S Charles Woodson. Now that well-documented train wreck Todd Haley, who lasted six seasons with the Steelers, has been fired after only half of a season with the Browns, an important question arises in Cleveland: Will there be any internal accountability for the eventually misguided decision to hire him in the first place? It’s a question that was being bandied about in league circles on Monday Kevin Zeitler Jersey , in the aftermath of the stunning decision to dump both Haley and coach Hue Jackson. It’s still not entirely clear who pulled the trigger on hiring Todd Haley. If it was ownership, then ownership has only itself to blame. If it was Jackson (that’s unlikely), he already has paid the biggest price he can.If it was G.M. John Dorsey, what does it mean for his status with the team? Probably nothing, especially with the drafting of Baker Mayfield, Denzel Ward, and Antonio Callaway, the trade for Jarvis Landry, and Dorsey’s track record in Kansas City. But if it was Dorsey’s call, there likely will be at least a whisper of “what was he thinking?” between owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam. If it’s followed by other blunders, it could eventually result in them viewing him differently than they currently do.It will all be forgotten if Dorsey makes a home-run hire with his next coach. The presence of quarterback Baker Mayfield could make it a very desirable destination, prompting plenty of currently established coaches without 10-year solutions at quarterback to ponder whether there’s a path to the place still known as the Factory of Sadness.

Juice Check Quarterback Nick Mullens Jersey ,Jerick McKinnon, and all is gloom among the 49ers faithful. However, one pillar of Kyle Shanahan’s scheme stood tall Sunday.Kyle Juszczyk showed the full range of his value, from catching the team’s only first half touchdown to steady work behind the running game — which will be all the more important with C.J. Beathard in at QB. Say what you will about his passing and ability to read defenses, but Beathard’s hand-offs are not a big drop from Garoppolo’s.Juice’s role in this offense has increased every game this year. He was in for fully 53 of 68 offensive plays Sunday, plus his usual role on punt coverage. Part of that reflects Kyle Shanahan’s surprising — and surprisingly successful — strategy of coming back from a big deficit with long, grinding run-based drives. Juice showed his value in the running game over and over, with a combination of lead blocks out of I-formation and occasional backside “wham” blocks to keep defenses guessing. During the final fourth quarter drive, for example, the Niners had the ball at the fifty yard line, first and ten. Juszczyk drove linebacker Reggie Ragland back five yards and pancaked him, clearing the way for Matt Breida to pick up five yards. And earlier, at 5:15 of the 3rd, he cleared out DB Kendall Fuller two yards past the line of scrimmage, then ran downfield and pushed the pile forward, finishing off a 16-yard gain for Alfred Morris. He was also valuable in pass protection on eight plays, holding off some pretty intense bull rushes and free runners. But what everyone will remember about this game were Juszczyk’s marquee offensive touches. He had two highlight plays on NFL.com, and for the second time this year in three games, the longest reception by the 49ers at 35 yards. During a dismal first half when the 49ers could not sustain a drive, Juice broke the ice by sneaking out on a drag route that broke downfield. It completely fooled the Chiefs, leaving him wide open for a deep pass.Garoppolo’s pass was no where near hitting him in stride Rookie Nick Mullens Jersey , but the fullback was able to flip around, haul it in and outrace a safety to the end zone. His soft hands are an underrated part of his skill set.At the end of the game, Juszczyk executed a nifty run option play, taking the handoff from Garoppolo, running toward the slot, and masterfully pitching to Matt Breida at the last second for a 13-yard gain inside the red zone. Again, it’s not only that he could do the play, but that he did it so well. Often, on “trick” plays like this, you see the rarely-used back look uncertain and, as often or not, bobble or even fumble the ball. Juice looked like he had been a triple option QB in college, and I have no doubt that if a defender had not filled the slot, he would have run it in himself. In fact, Juszczyk is currently the emergency QB for the Niners (now that Jerick McKinnon is out injured). As Matt Maiocco recently noted, he was the emergency QB at Baltimore too, played some quarterback in high school, and ran Wildcat plays as a tight end at Harvard. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him taking some more reps in practice, and throwing a pass in a game later this year.To be fair, Juszczyk was called for the OPI penality on the Niners’ last offensive play, nullifying Beathard’s TD pass, but there was widespread agreement — including by Fox analysts — that the call was crap. And these highlight plays don’t even cover the extent of Juice’s contributions on passing. He drew an 18-yard DPI penalty on a wheel route against KC’s dime backer Nick Mullens 49ers Jersey , Anthony Hitchens, at 2:20 of the first quarter. And exactly one quarter later, at 2:20 of the second, Juszczyk (blue circle) was wide open for a solid gain, but Jimmy Garoppolo inexplicably chose to target Pierre Gar莽on (red circle) who was quadruple-teamed. It’s hard to be optimistic about this season, but if nothing else, Kyle Shanahan is finding more and more ways to make use of Juice, and that part of his offense should be fully developed for some future date when other key skill players are healthy.49ers slip in Super Bowl 53 odds following Week 1 loss In news that should surprise nobody, the San Francisco 49ers’ odds to win Super Bowl 53 took a hit following their Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The 49ers entered the game at 20/1, but now find themselves at 33/1, according to OddsShark.Prior to Week 1, the 49ers had the same odds as the Houston Texans and Los Angeles Chargers. All three lost last week, but Houston and LA dropped to 25/1. The Kansas City Chiefs, Carolina Panthers, and Baltimore Ravens all climbed ahead of the 49ers.The 49ers odds could move quite a bit over this first half of the season. They are favored at home against Detroit this week, and then will likely be road underdogs against the Chiefs and Chargers. I would be happy with the 49ers coming out of this first quarter of the season at 2-2, but 1-3 or even 0-4 are not exactly out of the realm of the possible. If you really think the 49ers bounce back from the first quarter of the season, you might just be best suited waiting for longer odds.In related news, Football Outsiders posted their weekly playoff odds following the close of Week 1. The 49ers dropped 10.2 percent, and remain behind the Seahawks in NFC West and wild card odds.

The San Francisco 49ers made several errors that cost them in their Week 1 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. Every time the 49ers started to get some momentum Nick Mullens Jersey , they would make a mistake that would cost them all of the progress they had made. One of the biggest mistakes out was Alfred Morris’ untimely fumble on the goal line. After the game, Morris was disappointed in his fumble, and offered an explanation. He said that Vikings nose tackle Linval Joseph didn’t do anything different that caused the turnover but rather Morris fell like it was more humid than he had thought. He described his forearms as sweaty, and that coupled with reaching for the goal line for a score was part of what caused the issue. Kyle Shanahan stated that Morris’ fumble was not the reason for his reduced snaps after it happened. He confirmed that Morris played some after the turnover and also left the game healthy. The snap count between the backs did end up pretty even, with Morris ending the day with 34 snaps and Matt Breida closing it out with 30. Neither back had a stand out performance. Breida led the two 46 yards on 11 carries — an average of 4.2 per carry. Morris had 12 carries for 38 yards giving him a 3.2 yard average. Morris did have the longest run from scrimmage which was 14 yards. Breida’s longest was 11.C.J. Beathard offers some upside in year two, but things need to go right around him After making a handful of starts last season, 49ers’ fans rejoiced when they didn’t have to watch rookie quarterback C.J. Beathard any longer, and QB Jimmy Garoppolo took over. In the seven games that Beathard played, he completed 55 percent of his passes, averaging a shade over 200 passing yards per game Nick Mullens 49ers Jersey , including four touchdowns and six interceptions. Most fans attributed Beathard’s poor play to a porous offensive line, injured skill players and the usual rookie season struggle. However, his preseason play wasn’t as impressive as people expected either. Let’s break down Beathard’s film from the preseason, as well his cameo appearance in the game against the Chiefs’ to see if fans can expect a different Beathard this season.Beathard’s biggest strength has been his ability to stand in the pocket in the face of a pass rush and take a hit after releasing the throw. If the 49ers’ offensive line gives Beathard some time, he’ll find the open receiver and make the throw. Against the Cowboys in the preseason opener, Beathard finished the game 10-of-18, 181 yards and an interception. Here’s what the ex-Iowa quarterback is capable of when the offensive line gives Beathard some time to breathe. The 49ers’ signal caller surveys his reads and finds wideout Kendrick Bourne for a big gain. Here’s what Beathard can’t do when opposing defensive lines are bringing a strong pass rush. On this play, pressure comes from Beathard’s left and he spins out and makes a throw across his body that ends up nowhere near the receiver. Rather than trying to make the most out of the bad situation, Beathard needs to learn to throw the ball away and play for the next down. Here is Beathard’s best throw of the night against Dallas, problem is that he doesn’t lead wideout Dante Pettis far enough. Pettis has to slow down to catch the ball Quarterback Nick Mullens Jersey , preventing him from finishing the play in the end zone. Beathard has to throw that ball a little further to allow Pettis to catch it on the run.Now in the red zone, accuracy becomes extremely important. The field shrinks vertically and there will be more defenders packed in a tighter area. Beathard can’t afford to miss throws or have balls tipped, because more often than not, they will get intercepted. On this route, Pettis finds himself open between two defenders, but Beathard’s low and inaccurate throw leads to an incompletion — costing the 49ers four points. Here’s an example from earlier in the Dallas game of the result of a tipped Beathard pass. In the red zone, especially with an un-blocked rusher, the 49ers’ quarterback has to loft this pass over the defender, rather than throwing right into his arms. It allows the ball to be tipped and eventually intercepted. There were numerous instances of Beathard’s passes getting tipped at the line, something he’ll have to fix soon.Against the Texans Rookie Nick Mullens Jersey , here’s one of the Beathard’s better throws. In the face of pressure, Beathard is able to make a quick drop and fire off a throw to Pettis in stride. The key to making this pass successful is hitting the receiver as he’s running so that he doesn’t have to slow down to catch the ball. Beathard does well here on his delivery to his Pettis.Again, in the face of pressure, Beathard rarely runs from the pocket. He will stand in and make the throw — even if it’s not entirely accurate. On this throw, Beathard hits wideout Aldrick Robinson (now a Vikings’ receiver) as he was about to get hit. Against the Colts, Beathard was given good protection from his offensive line, leading him to make the solid throw to 49ers’ wideout Kendrick Bourne. This is what’s going to allow the 49ers to be successful for the next 13 weeks — give Beathard solid protection and allow him to make short, simple throws. Getting the ball out of his hands and into a wide receiver’s hands should be head coach Kyle Shanahan’s number one priority. Here’s another prime example of Beathard hitting one of his skill players in stride and allowing wideout Richie James Jr. to create yards after the catch. Once again (I know I’ve been redundant), but if the 49ers can give Beathard some protection, more often than not http://www.49erscheapstore.com/earl-mitchell-jersey-cheap , he’ll make the right throw to the open receiver. After being thrown into the fire after Garoppolo went down, Beathard showed veteran poise as he threw a beautiful ball on 4th and goal. Unfortunately, it was called back for an offensive pass interference call that seemed ticky-tack.The difference in having good Beathard vs. bad Beathard is going to come down to the performance of all the players around him on offense. If running backs Matt Breida and Alfred Morris are able to ease the load off of Beathard, that’ll make him more comfortable. If the 49ers’ offensive line can give their quarterback some extra protection, he’s more likely to make the right play. If the wide receivers can separate from defensive backs easily and not drop balls, that’ll help Beathard settle in.It’s going to be far different from Beathard’s starts last season, because experience is the best teacher in life. We’re going to find out of Beathard is going to use the lessons he learned from his starts last year and apply that for the rest of this season. My guess is that the 49ers’ backup is going to look better than he did in the preseason, but the 49ers are still going to struggle to win games. These next 13 weeks will be used to figure out if Beathard can be a high-end future backup or if he’ll need to be released to bring someone else in behind Garoppolo.

The NFL trade deadline is a little under a month away 49ers Arik Armstead Jersey , and if it is anything like last year, things might get interesting. In 2017, in the days leading up to the deadline, most notably we saw the San Francisco 49ers acquired Jimmy Garoppolo. However, we also saw trades involving running back Jay Ajayi, wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin, offensive tackle Duane Brown, and defensive tackle Marcell Dareus. It was a busy October! There are not many trade rumors floating around right now, particularly with Le’Veon Bell reportedly re-joining the Pittsburgh Steelers in the coming weeks. However, there is always room for posing trade hypotheticals. Which brings us to Pro Football Focus. They put together a look at one trade for each team they would like to see at this point in the season. Every team gets at least one mention Cheap DeForest Buckner Jersey , and plenty get a second or third based on the deals getting done. The 49ers showed up twice in this thought exercise. The first was a reasonable one. PFF suggested a deal sending wide receiver Pierre Gar莽on to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a fourth round pick. I’d be surprised if the 49ers could get that much for Gar莽on, but it makes sense for the Cowboys to try and pursue some receiver help. The second deal was a little less ... something.Ummm, right.I realize there are 49ers fans that would like to see the team acquire RG3. He does have history with Kyle Shanahan. Things ended poorly for all parties involved, but Shanahan has been complimentary this year when asked about RG3.That being said, I don’t see RG3 as much in the way of an upgrade. There is the potential that he once had, which still entices fans. But with the 49ers making it clear they will remain patient in this rebuilding process, I’d much rather they just see what Beathard can do the remaining 12 weeks of the season. He showed some signs against the Chargers, and now gets a step-up in competition against a better Cardinals defense. And even if the 49ers decide they want to consider a QB upgrade over Beathard, they have some time over the next month to see their current QB face some unique defensive challenges. I’m comfortable seeing where Beathard can go with that.DeForest Buckner DPOY campaign continues with a sack against the Lions We’re going to be checking in on DeForest Buckner frequently for his Defensive Player of the Year campaign, and Sunday’s stop wasn’t the most desirable. Buckner only managed a single sack against what on paper should be an awful Detroit Lions defensive line. However http://www.49erscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-kyle-juszczyk-jersey , it’s not how you start this campaign trail, it’s how you finish. Show me the sack:This thing of beauty puts Buckner at 3.5 sacks for the season. In 2017 alone, all of 2017, Buckner only got three of those. So this is progress. He’s going to need a lot more than one sack a game if he’s going to get that DPOY he desires, but maybe he won’t get left off lists as one of the best in the league. And with moves like this, the sacks will come.Oh, but there’s more. Now, on this campaign, sacks do matter, but there’s other little things to get Buckner the respect he rightly deserves. It’s not going to just be getting to an opposing team’s signal caller http://www.49erscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-earl-mitchell-jersey , but how he pulls a runner back. Roll it: If only the rest of his line could do this. To round out this post of DeForest Buckner gloss, we of course need to bring up his car jacking of LeGarrette Blount. Fooch already went into detail about this yesterday, but it’s worth showing again. Ok, that last one isn’ t going to get Buckner much of anything, but it’s never going to get old watching. Especially when Blount got himself ejected out of frustration a while later. Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford took off down the sideline and Elijah Lee was happy to knock him out of bounds. Blount didn’t exactly like that and knocked Lee off his feet, getting tossed in the process. The one concern is the Detroit Lions offensive line isn’t very good. At all. That said, Buckner has already gone above his sack total in 2017 and is making a strong case for All Pro.Maybe he doesn’t get the DPOY nod, but we’re not stopping this campaign until he gets the respect he deserves.

With the New York Giants having failed to score 20 points in all three of their losses this season http://www.newyorkgiantsteamonline.com/aldrick-rosas-jersey , and coach Pat Shurmur and quarterback Eli Manning under fire for a seeming lack of aggression in the passing attack, Shurmur Friday said there was a “false narrative” that the Giants aren’t trying to be aggressive.Yet, the Giants are 31st in the league in yards per completion (8.3) and 26th in yards per attempt (6.2) while Manning is second in the league in completion percentage (74.2).We will find out Sunday vs. the Carolina Panthers if the Giants can find a way to do that.More on this topicGiants at Panthers: 6 things to watch in Sunday’s gameOdell Beckham: “Finding that balance” key for Giants’ offenseBrett Favre says Eli Manning needs better OL protectionLet’s talk about Eli Manning, risk management and the Giants’ offenseValentine’s Views: Whoever you blame, Giants’ struggles land at the feet of the offense Davis Webb was just as surprised as everyone else when he was cut by the Giants. The second-year quarterback wasn't out of a job for long, though. And, he's ready to move forward with the Jets http://www.newyorkgiantsteamonline.com/will-hernandez-jersey , who signed him to their practice squad Tuesday."You never see it coming," Webb said after his first practice with his new team. "I think everybody was kind of shocked. At the same time, they made a decision. I don't have to agree with it. But I'm excited to be here and just be the best teammate I can be and just continue to grow."Webb was the Giants' third-round pick in last year's draft, but was surprisingly waived Sunday during final roster cuts . The Giants initially had four quarterbacks on their roster before cutting Webb and keeping rookie Kyle Lauletta and veteran Alex Tanney as backups to Eli Manning.Webb didn't play in a regular-season game last season and was inconsistent this summer in three preseason games."I didn't need a reason," he said. "They made a decision. I didn't agree with it. I don't think many people did, especially my teammates. At the same time, I've moved on and I wish them nothing but the best."Webb added that he had an "emotional conversation" with Manning when he was cut after growing close last season. To make room on the practice squad Tuesday http://www.newyorkgiantsteamonline.com/b.j.-goodson-jersey , the Jets released quarterback John Wolford. The former Wake Forest star signed with the Jets in August as an undrafted free agent, played the bulk of the preseason finale at Philadelphia and was waived as New York made its final cuts. He was signed to the practice squad Monday.Once Webb was available, the Jets were among the first teams to contact him about an opportunity with them."I felt like this was the best decision for me," Webb said. "They showed a lot of interest and I felt wanted. I'm excited to be here. There's no doubt about that. I get to keep my house, too."After three years at Texas Tech, Webb transferred to Cal and played one season there. He had a terrific season for the Golden Bears while throwing for 4,295 yards and 37 touchdown passes http://www.authenticsnewyorkgiants.com/cheap-aldrick-rosas-jersey , and was selected the MVP of the Senior Bowl."He was somebody we looked at coming out (of college)," coach Todd Bowles said. "To have him available and be able to work with him on the practice squad is something that intrigued us about him, with the size and the arm."Webb ended up being the fifth quarterback drafted last year and appeared to be a potential future replacement for Manning. But the Giants, with a new general manager in Dave Gettleman and coach in Pat Shurmur, drafted Lauletta in the fourth round. Davis' future with the franchise then became murky with his uneven preseason during which he was 28 of 53 for 283 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions."I wouldn't say ticked off," Webb said when asked if that's how he felt about the Giants' decision. "I think that's kind of a trick question. I think you have to earn it every single day in this league. I have another opportunity, and I'm excited to be the best quarterback I can be and just continue to grow."Webb joins a Jets offense that has some familiar faces. He got to know offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates while preparing for the NFL draft in 2016.Webb also met quarterback Sam Darnold when the Jets rookie starter was a junior in high school and attending an Elite 11 camp — where Webb was a counselor."I knew he could spin it then http://www.authenticsnewyorkgiants.com/cheap-janoris-jenkins-jersey ," Webb said with a smile. "A few years later, everybody knows he can spin it."

Authentic Rhett Ellison Jersey , answers about Jacksonville We have been studying the Jacksonville Jaguars from a variety of angles this week. Today, let’s go right to the heart, right into Big Cat Country, for some information. Ryan O’Bleness answers our 5 questions about the Jaguars, whom the New York Giants face on Sunday.Ed: I will turn the tables with a question you asked me. What surprised you the most about how the Jaguars built their 53-man roster?Ryan: There weren’t a ton of surprises on the roster front, but I was happy to see Tre Herndon, an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt, make the squad. He was the only UDFA to make the initial 53-man roster and worked his tail off throughout training camp and the preseason. I was a little bit surprised to see tight end Ben Koyack -- who had the game winning touchdown reception in the playoff win against the Buffalo Bills -- get waived initially, but the Jaguars signed Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Niles Paul in the offseason. Koyack cleared waivers, however, so he will revert back to IR with some sort of undisclosed injury and have to miss the entire season. The Jags also chose to roll with only three running backs on the active roster, which is a little bit lighter than normal, but not all that shocking. Ed: Heading into Week 1, any injuries with Jacksonville that are concerning?Ryan: The Jaguars lost No. 1 wide receiver Marqise Lee (torn ACL) for the season during a preseason tilt with the Atlanta Falcons. This is the second season in a row that the top receiver (Allen Robinson in 2017) has gone down before the first quarter of the first regular season. game has even finished. I guess the silver lining there is that Jacksonville is a run-first team, and has other capable receivers on the roster. Outside of Lee -- knock on wood -- the Jags have been unusually lucky with injuries. The same injury luck was true last season Authentic Kerry Wynn Jersey , which helped Jacksonville achieve the success it had. The only notable injury on the active roster is with starting center Brandon Linder who suffered a knee injury in Week 2 of the preseason. With that said, Linder participated in practice on Monday and I expect that to continue throughout the week, so he should be good to go on Sunday. Ed: How do you see the Jalen Ramsey-Odell Beckham matchup playing out?Ryan: I’m really looking forward to seeing how this plays out. Odell Beckham is probably a top-three wide receiver in the league, while Jalen Ramsey is a surefire top-three cornerback, and possibly the best in the league at his position. I’m sure both players are going to make plays, but I also imagine the jawing between the two will be pretty intense. I think it will come down to which one can phase out the other one’s trash talk and just play their game. If I had to guess, I would say Ramsey gets the better of Beckham, and by that I mean limits his damage to something like three or four catches with zero touchdowns. Wouldn’t be surprised either way, though.4. If you could take ONE player not named Beckham off the Giants roster and put him in the Jacksonville lineup who would it be? Why?Ryan: Interesting question. I’ve always been a fan of Landon Collins, but the Jaguars are pretty set at both safety positions. A part of me also wanted the Jags to draft Will Hernandez early on in the process, but the Jags signed All-Pro Andrew Norwell at left guard in free agency, and A.J. Cann has looked much improved at right guard this preseason. So then, if I can’t have Beckham, I would take Sterling Shepard and see if he could give the Jaguars’ wide receiver corps a boost with Lee out for the year. I do like the young and talented players Jacksonville has there, but they are mostly unproven at this point and I would think Shepard could provide some stability. Ed: Are you a believer in Blake Bortles? I’m sure there are many who still wonder if the Jaguars can win big with him at quarterback.Ryan: I am Authentic Alec Ogletree Jersey , to a degree, a Bortles believer. With the caveat that I understand what Bortles is and I don’t have crazy expectations. The Jaguars want to play smash-mouth football and run the ball down your throat. The ball is often being taken out of Bortles’ hands, but you also have to deal with opposing teams putting eight men in the box at a higher rate than normal and will need to count on Blake to make plays sometimes. With all of that in mind, this team can win with Bortles, and that was proven last year. Bortles had a very nice playoff run last season, and has looked poised, confident and in better command of the offense throughout training camp. Another underrated aspect of Bortles’ game is his ability to make plays with his feet. He has had both good and bad moments in the preseason games. His teammates trust him, though, as he was named a captain this week. He seems to be in line to have the best season of his career, but it has always been Bortles’ inconsistencies that have caused his biggest issues. If he is able to limit turnovers, make better decisions and make throws in tough situations, then this team will go very far. His play is pivotal. The co-owner of the New York Giants is embarrassed by the team's second straight 1-5 start and he wants star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to make his highlights on the field instead of getting recognition from off-the-field comments.Speaking before the fall meeting of the NFL owners Tuesday, John Mara was clearly miffed by the disappointments of a season he had hoped would make fans forget the 3-13 campaign a year ago that led to the firings of coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese.New general manager Dave Gettleman and coach Pat Shurmur turned over more than half the roster, spent almost $80 million rebuilding the offense line, made Beckham the highest-paid receiver in the league with a $95 million deal and had high hopes heading into the season. It hasn't worked out and the biggest disappointment came Thursday when the struggling Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles came to MetLife Stadium and embarrassed the Giants. What made the loss even more disappointing was the Giants felt they were close to turning things around."I'm sick about it Authentic Nate Solder Jersey , particularly the way we've disappointed our fans," Mara said. "To start out like this is very disappointing. I don't think you ever expect to go 1-5 ... two years in a row. I'm still embarrassed being 1-5. I can't stand up here and make any excuses about that. We suffer as much as our fans, maybe more."Beckham had been on his best behavior this season, but the losing seemed to catch up to him in recent weeks. He did an interview on ESPN more than a week ago where he complained that Eli Manning was not throwing the ball down the field. He also questioned the heart of his teammates. That did not sit well with Mara, who had spoken to Beckham about getting his act together in the offseason."I think he needs to do a little more playing and a little less talking," Mara said. "I wish he would create the headlines by his play on the field, as opposed to what he says and does off the field."Beckham leads the Giants with 45 catches for 506 yards, but he only has one touchdown catch. While the 37-year-old Manning has gotten most of the blame for the woes of the offense, Mara said a lot of players have to share the blame. He added that it would be up to Shurmur to decide if a change was to be made.Mara believes Gettleman and Shurmur will turn things around, and he defended their choice of running back Saquon Barkley with the second pick overall in the draft."We went with the best player in the draft," Mara said. "I still believe he's the best player in the draft. I'm thrilled with what he's accomplished so far, and I think the sky's the limit for him."Barkley has rushed for 438 yards and four touchdowns and caught 40 passes for 373 yards and two TDs.The choice has been criticized by some because the Jets took quarterback Sam Darnold with the third pick and they are 3-3.
