Will Marcus Allen finally make his debut, or will the newly-added Brian Allen’s special teams experience give him the advantage? Game StatusDoubtful:S Morgan Burnett (Groin)WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (ankle)LB Vince Williams Here are the possibilities to end up inactive for Week 5:Definitely:Once again nobody has been ruled out, but a “doubtful” designation has been the same thing for the Steelers in 2018.Most Likely:QB Mason Rudolph- Josh Dobbs could sprain an ankle walking into the stadium, but I doubt it. S Morgan Burnett- I sound like a broken record: his weekly progress was in the wrong direction. Burnett will be out again. LB Vince Williams- he didn’t practice all week. There isn’t much hope that he will dress Sunday. WR Darrius Heyward-Bey- it’s the same story as Vince. Hey-Bey was out all week http://www.steelerscheapauthenticstore.com/ramon-foster-jersey-cheap , so playing this weekend isn’t likely to happen.DT L.T. Walton- The defensive line is healthy again this week, so Walton one again ends up being the guy to sit this one out.OT Zach Banner- he needs two linemen to be hurt in order to dress, and this week there are none. Possibly:OT Matt Feiler- last week the Steelers did dress an eighth lineman because their inactive list was already pretty full. It’s pretty full this week as well, but depth in other areas and special teams play may factor in more.S Marcus Allen- it’s very difficult to determine if the Steelers are interested in dressing this Allen. Because he hasn’t played at all, it’s hard to say if there’s any special teams value or positional depth he brings. Nat Burhe went on the IR this week and was replaced on the roster with a corner http://www.steelerscheapauthenticstore.com/alejandro-villanueva-jersey-cheap , so being a safety could help his cause.CB Brian Allen- he just moved from the practice squad to the main roster and has special teams experience from last season. It’s strange that he could not be on the 53, but once promoted jump ahead of others that are still waiting for a helmet.WR Justin Hunter- it’s not beyond the realm of possibility for the Steelers to go into the game with only four WR’s, especially with Ryan Switzer emerging as more than just a return man. Even though he brings nothing to special teams, Hunter will probably dress for depth and may even get a handful of snaps on offense.Unlikely:OT Marcus Gilbert- he did miss one practice this week with his injured hamstring, but didn’t end up with a designated game status. Unless something unexpected arises Cheap Chukwuma Okorafor Jersey , Gilbert should be good to go.Projected Inactive List:Mason RudolphMorgan BurnettVince Williams Darrius Heyward-Bey L.T. WaltonZach Banner Marcus Allen I thought Marcus Allen was ready to get a helmet last week. For the Steelers chose to give it to Matt Feiler and his zero snaps for the game, it’s quite obvious that they don’t feel ready to use him even on special teams. Therefore, I think Brian Allen gets the helmet ahead of Marcus to help replace the special teams void left by Darius Heyward-Bey. Unless one of the doubtful players is somehow ready on Sunday, the Steelers carry the extra lineman in Feiler.Feel free to list your projected inactives in the comments below. NFL Outlet

As per NFL rules Youth Le'Veon Bell Jersey , the Pittsburgh Steelers can only dress 46 players on game day and at least 90 minutes before the start of any match up, they must officially declare a list of seven inactive players. Any player carrying an injury significant enough to have been ruled out of the game on Friday is always guaranteed to be included, while the rest of the names are generally players buried on the depth chart. In Week 1 of the 2018 season, the Steelers’ first list of the year contains a mixture of both.Tight end Vance McDonald was the only player ruled out on the final practice report of the week due to injury and he will be joined on the sidelines by a number of players who figure to regulars on the inactive list this season, assuming the rest of the squad remains healthy. As the third quarterback on the roster, Mason Rudolph is a certainty to be sitting out each week, as is Marcus Allen as the sixth safety. With seven active offensive lineman the standard procedure for Pittsburgh on game day, Zach Banner and Matt Feiler can expect to find themselves inactive most Sundays as well. L.T. Walton is no stranger to sitting on the sidelines during a game and his inclusion on the list should be commonplace this season too. As part of a packed position group, Coty Sensabaugh is another unsurprising inactive name in Week 1.The practical realities of life in the NFL means injuries will happen and most of these names will eventually get their chance to suit up when a teammate gets hurt or they move up the depth chart. Until that happens, they will have to make do with just watching the game like the rest of us, albeit with a much better viewing position.Week 1 inactives for the Browns: If you’re anything like me, you’re 1,000 percent over the ceaseless onslaught of acidic (and largely redundant) Antonio Brown narratives, which have violently pervaded the innermost reaches of our broader consciousness and metastasized into, like, pure vitriol and contempt. The abruptness with which Antonio Brown went from occasionally ill-tempered, but generally amiable superstar to most hated athlete in the city is stunning, and at this point the most expedient recourse may be a clean split. But I don’t wanna talk about any of that because a) Brown can’t be moved until March http://www.authenticspittsburghsteelers.com/cheap-jesse-james-jersey , so any discourse regarding Brown from now until then will be thoroughly rooted in conjecture and b) Antonio Brown is my favorite Steeler ever, and I want him to come back. In the meantime, I’d like to discuss some other things I want, starting with a rangy, explosive, amorphous middle-of-the-formation defender with a skill set that’s multifaceted but mostly analogous to the one possessed by a box safety or modern inside linebacker. Functionally, what I’m seeking is a Ryan Shazier proxy. I came to this realization sometime during the third quarter of the Steelers’ come-from-ahead loss to the Chargers back in Week 13—a loss that was heavily abetted by defensive coordinator Keith Butler’s unwavering commitment to a doomed game plan that involved deploying L.J. Fort in coverage against Keenan Allen, a near-consensus top-five receiver. In another universe, L.J Fort, thanks to his uncommon blend of size and athleticism, is a lockdown defender, one just as capable of flattening running backs as he is negating the impact of even the league’s most prolific vertical receiving threats. Three years ago, L.J. Fort was this unheralded, 23-year-old, diamond-in-the-rough linebacker with a high ceiling and a starter’s pedigree; today, in our current universe, L.J. Fort is, at best http://www.authenticspittsburghsteelers.com/cheap-stephon-tuitt-jersey , a core special teams contributor. Also, he’s somehow 29 now. “L.J. Fort” is more of a concept—a suggestion, rather, of what the modern insider linebacker should look like—than he is a tangible entity. Anyway, getting back on track, the Chargers scorched Pittsburgh’s defense and Allen feasted omnivorously on a rich diet of curl routes, out routes, and go routes. Presumably, Butler made the decision to put Fort on Allen because using middle linebackers to cover wide receivers—particularly larger receivers like Allen—is not a novel concept. However! Unlike, say, the Bears, the Panthers, or the Seahawks, the Steelers do not have apt personnel to do this effectively. (Of course, the Steelers knew this before the 2018 season even started, which makes the fact that they did only the tiniest quantum imaginable—namely, scooping Vince Williams clone Jon Bostic off the Colts’ trash heap for the hilariously low price of $2 million per season—to fill the gaping aperture left behind by Shazier inexcusable. It took the Steelers 11 games to finally come to the obvious conclusion that Bostic is a wholly redundant commodity, which is in itself a damning indictment of the collective aptitude of Pittsburgh’s defensive brain trust.) Williams is a nice inside linebacker Youth Antonio Brown Jersey , easily the best one on the Steelers, but he’s in possession of a skill set that’s not particularly diverse; he’s a solid-enough tackler and he can defend the run, but that’s basically it. Bostic, likewise, which is probably why he’ll be cut this offseason. Fort is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent, but the Steelers’ linebacking ranks are so unbelievably scant that they honestly probably have little choice but to sign him back. Also, Tyler Matakevich is still here, I guess, but he sucks. That’s pretty much the whole squad! The Steelers absolutely have to improve this room during the offseason. This is the part of the blog where I’d normally launch into a thing about drafting a stud inside linebacker or splurging for one in free agency, but a cursory overview of upcoming unrestricted free agents or the top-rated collegiate prospects yields come grim results. As it stands, LSU’s Devin White is the only inside linebacker prospect generating any significant buzz (he’s a near-consensus top-10 prospect, so unless the Steelers would liquidate some standing assets to move up, it isn’t likely they’d be in a position to draft him, anyway), and most of the elite upcoming free agents—including C.J. Mosley and Kwon Alexander—will probably wind up re-signing with their current teams. It shouldn’t surprise you to hear that, hey, lots and lots of teams are interested in employing nigh-positionless field generals, and teams that find these kinds of players rarely allow them to hit the open market. Deone Bucannon Black James Conner Jersey , most recently of the Cardinals, checks all the boxes for multidimensionality and playmaking ability, but he’s been victimized by injuries and schematic changes over the past couple of seasons. Most likely, he’ll be a free agent in March. I think the Steelers ought to do their homework on him. He’s only 26, he’s demonstrated that he’s a capable and versatile NFL defender (in his second season, Bucannon played safety and linebacker, registering 109 tackles, three sacks, and four forced turnovers), and, most importantly, he could come reasonably cheap. The Steelers defense has pressing needs across the board—the defensive line is top-heavy, but devoid of depth, the secondary is a leaking diaper, and you can never have enough pass rushers—but I think adding playmakers who can force turnovers and play numerous positions is a great place to start. wrap-up press conference The San Francisco 49ers lost in Week 4 to the Los Angeles Chargers in C.J. Beathard’s first start of the season. It was a close loss http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.com/k_waun-williams-jersey-authentic , with Beathard putting up a strong effort, and the defense making some big stops amidst still inconsistent tackling. But the 49ers dropped to 1-3 and begin preparations for Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals. The team returned to Santa Clara Sunday evening, and Monday is a day to wrap up the previous day’s game and begin preparations for the coming week. Head coach Kyle Shanahan will meet with the media at 4 p.m. PT to discuss all that. The 49ers will stream the press conferences Twitter, Facebook, and the team’s app. The 49ers beat writers will also have updates from the media sessions. I’ve embedded our beat writer Twitter list so you can follow along. We’ll have a transcript later today.A Twitter List by NinersNation D.J. Swearinger, released abruptly by the Washington Redskins this week after publicly criticizing the defensive coaching, didn't need much time to find a landing place. He's back in Arizona with the Cardinals, where he played part of 2015 and all of the 2016 season.Speaking in front of his new locker on Wednesday, Swearinger called it a "rocky Christmas" and acknowledged that he was wrong to speak out against Redskins defensive coordinator Greg Manusky and criticize the team's strategy in a 25-16 loss to Tennessee.Still, he was surprised, he said, that it led to his release from the team."Just living and learning," Swearinger said http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.com/george-kittle-jersey-authentic , "understanding you know it wasn't my role to call out the defensive coaches even though we had a relationship. Me and the coaches had a good relationship. But it's just learning. I keep my mouth shut next time and just keep moving and play football, do what I do on the field."Swearinger acknowledged he's emotional and that controlling himself is difficult in the minutes after the game."I'm a very passionate player," Swearinger said. "I put my heart in this game. You put the camera in my face after we lose a game that we're supposed to go to the playoffs, I may say some things that I shouldn't' say. That's on me. I've got to control that and get better at that, but like I said, live and learn and keep moving forward. That's life."After the Redskins practice Wednesday, coach Jay Gruden said this wasn't the first time Swearinger had problems such as this."Yeah, repeat offenses. I've had many talks with him before," Gruden said. "Obviously I didn't get through to him. Again, that's my responsibility. At the end of the day we decided as an organization to move on."Swearinger had made significant contributions to the Washington defense. He had four interceptions (matching a career high), 53 tackles, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He was selected as a Pro Bowl alternate."D.J. did some great things here without a doubt," Gruden said. "We wish nothing but the best but at the end of the day that's something that this franchise or any franchise can't afford to have. We've moved on."Swearinger said he got a nice welcome from Patrick Peterson and other players who were around three seasons ago. Swearinger played four games for Arizona in 2015 and was with the Cardinals the entire 2016 season Womens Arik Armstead Jersey , finishing with three interceptions, 64 tackles and two sacks. That success led to his three-year deal with Washington. The Cardinals, with the NFL's worst record at 3-12, were the first team that could claim Swearinger off waivers. He has one year left on the deal he signed with Washington.Arizona's first-year coach Steve Wilks said that claiming Swearinger was "a great move by us.""I don't know him personally but I like his play," Wilks said. "Scouting him, going against him, a very physical guy, tough, nasty, the DNA that we look for. Personality-wise talking to everybody in the locker room, everybody in the building, they love him."Wilks said he will talk to Swearinger about keeping any criticism in-house."I don't stand in front of you guys and throw coaches or players underneath the bus, that's not my style Youth Mike Person Jersey ," Wilks told reporters. "That's what we would need to address. I don't have a problem with his opinion, but we're not going to have that opinion outside the building. He would quickly understand that."It's uncertain whether Swearinger will play in Sunday's season finale at Seattle or how much he figures in the Cardinals' plans for next season."I can only control what I can control," he said. "Tomorrow I'm going to come get ready for practice like I know how. If I play on Sunday, I'll be more than ready to play. If I don't, I'll cheer my guys on and do whatever I need to do to help this team win. ... I'm just happy to be back in Arizona."Wilks might not be the coach past this weekend, but Swearinger is planning to stay."I'm just ready to play, regardless of who the coach is, regardless of who the players are," Swearinger said. "I'm ready to play and I'm ready to win."The Redskins' Josh Norman said it's just more of the same for his team."Every week's been a circus for the last six weeks," he said.Notes: Arizona lost yet another offensive lineman when rookie tackle Korey Cunningham was placed on injured reserve. He's the seventh offensive lineman placed on IR by Arizona this season.Freelancer Bobby Bancroft contributed to this report.

No doubt about it http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.com/k_waun-williams-jersey-authentic , Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been nothing short of dynamic in his first two starts. With each of his 10 touchdown passes going by it makes more and more sense why the Chiefs cut bait with long-time starter Alex Smith and shipped him off to Washington. Just one problem, Mahomes is good, but teams didn’t have much film on him. Yet. Remember when I suggested Garoppolo could get some growing pains? Well the same can be said for Mahomes. This is a common trait all quarterbacks got through, they start out lighting up the opposing defenses, then as time goes on the league gets wind of their heroics and puts a stop to things. Exhibit A: Troy Smith. Remember him? He had a decent game against the Denver Broncos in England. So decent then-49ers head coach Mike Singletary decided to go with Troy Smith over Alex Smith. The decision led to a quarterback carousel, ending with Smith going to the UFL and Singletary getting fired. He had two games with a QB rating around 115 before the 49ers went scoreless in a home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Exhibit B: Austin Davis. Davis played so well in a sample size for the then-St. Louis Rams that people were calling him the second coming of Tom Brady. Davis came back to earth shortly thereafter and was yanked after fumbling the ball and throwing picks later into the season. He had six games with an average passer rating of 95.8before turning in the clunkers that would lead to his benching. Exhibit C: Jimmy Garoppolo. For the first two weeks, he hasn’t exactly looked the same as he was in 2017. Garoppolo is in no way a bad quarterback. At least not yet. However, some tendencies are revealing themselves that may become nasty if left unchecked. His game against Minnesota was uncharacteristic, ditto for his outing against the Detroit Lions where it looked like sack city. Have they figured him out? Possibly. Not much you can do when Marquise Goodwin is injured and in the Lions’ case, your receivers are being blanketed in grabby coverage. It’s extremely rare for a quarterback to not face some sort of growing pains once a defense gets their hands on them. It’s how those quarterbacks adjust. Drew Brees is an excellent example of someone who had to grow into the role, and now he’s headed to Canton once his career is done. So sure, Mahomes has looked good now, but what happens when teams get film on him? Sherman called out something similar to Jimmy Garoppolo. Minuscule yes, but it’s the same idea. As time goes on, the books get built on quarterbacks, and if Mahomes continues on this high level play through the entire season especially in his second year within the league, well, then we can wonder why the 49ers didn’t draft him. Some quarterbacks take longer than others, but defenses will adjust. Three games may be too much of a sample size http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.com/george-kittle-jersey-authentic , but this is where the film starts getting broken down. Could the 49ers visit to KC be the game where Patrick Mahomes comes back to earth?Where’s the D? It’s almost like last Sunday was a nightmare. A bad dream we all had together. It wasn’t. This piece was originally on the 49ers defensive line as a unit, but after watching the film there was more than meets the eye. First thing I recognized is the game planning. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid knew our front was stout. So far this year our rush defense is only allowing 3.7 yards per rush. On the back end however our pass defense is ranked 27th according to CBSSports.com. So Reid’s game plan relied on confusion, alignment mismatches, and quick rhythm passes. Patrick Mahomes took nearly every snap in shotgun. This prevented the defensive line from getting any direct pressure on him. They lined up in formations with multiple receivers which kept our base defense off the field. Our nickel and dime line up is smaller, built to cover, and they got beat at the point of attack whenever Kansas City did decide to run. They didn’t run much. Kareem Hunt rushed 18 times for 44 yards and averaged only 2.4 yards per carry. Kansas City’s plan was to throw the ball. They called 38 passes and completed them to 9 different receivers. They had 11 players with at least one target. KC’s other big weapon Tyreek Hill was held in check, and was mostly deployed as a decoy. He only had two catches for 51 yards, and one of those two was 42 yards. Second thing to take into account was all the new faces on defense. Reuben Foster was making his first start this season. The last time Malcolm Smith played in a regular season game, he was wearing silver and black. Antone Exum Jr. was recently cut and resigned within the same week. He was also making his first start at strong safety. Jimmie Ward replaced Akhello Witherspoon at corner, and Fred Warner was only making his third start in the NFL. The Chiefs took full advantage of all these new parts. They shifted, went in motion, faked, and aligned all over the place. It got to a point in the 2nd quarter where even the defensive linemen were literally taking one step, and standing up trying to see what was happening in the backfield as players ran by them. Foster and Smith were often lost. Then there was the tackling. The plays we will be looking at cover in general some of the concepts and alignments that hindered the defense. It will be interesting to see how we adjust against another high powered offense this Sunday in LA against the Chargers. Andy Reid and his staff threw the proverbial kitchen sink at our defense. Let’s take a look at the first play. A triple motion, yes triple motion fake jet sweep pass. KC lines up basically strong right (bottom of the field) and motions one by one to the opposite side of the field. At the snap we get the jet sweep action from Tyreek Hill, while the receivers at the top of the screen flood the zone coverage. Hill is left wide open in the flat. Watch Reuben Foster (first yellow circle) on this play, his head is spinning. Warner still has a shot at a tackle but he misses and Hill scurries for a first down.Another creative play design aimed at attacking our defenses ability to run. Here’s an RPO where Mahomes is reading the linebackers at the snap instead of a defensive end/lineman. As the linebackers, Warner and Foster, over-commit to the run Womens Arik Armstead Jersey , he pulls the ball, and delivers a quick slant that’s wide open. If the linebackers stay home, the outside run is left open. It’s a lose-lose situation for defenses. Especially when it’s executed correctly. We also struggled with screen passes, another play designed to take advantage of an aggressive defense. The next two we’re also perfect timed. The first screen pass shows wrinkles on wrinkles. We start with a fullback screen. Yes, the fullback. Anthony Sherman has one other catch this year and it was during the Chiefs first game this season. He only had six catches all last season, but he was employed in this game. Initially, Tyreek Hill lines up in the backfield. Once Hill motions to the outside the defense shifts left (bottom of the field, which now has two receivers and a tight end. Already before the snap, I highlighted with the box a huge open area. Once the play begins the fullback sells the block, then catches the screen pass. He rumbles to the goal line. From the end zone angle there’s almost no 49ers in the shot when he catches the ball. For the second screen pass clip let’s just watch Malcolm Smith and Reuben Foster (yellow circles) sort of blitz and sort of play coverage all at the same time. Not really sure who was supposed to cover the back. Foster blitzes at the snap, but then pulls up and tries to make a play on the ball. He either blew his coverage and tried to get back, or he was supposed to blitz but recognized the screen late and tried to make an adjustment. I have no idea what Smith is doing — initially he’s in great position to cover the running back, and the screen pass, but at the last second he runs toward the quarterback and takes himself out of the play.I mentioned above the multiple receiver formations. These next few clips show how it left us at a disadvantage in the run game. On the Chiefs first TD, Hunt walked into the end zone almost untouched and here’s why. The Chiefs line up in a three wide set. I have a still shot displayed before the clip moves to the end zone angle. At the start of the end zone angle it’s almost instantly obvious we’re outmatched on the line if they run. It’s easy money. At the snap, Mahomes begins the zone read action, which causes Malcolm Smith to hesitate just a second. Our defensive end gets turned out, while the guard crashes the nose tackle down the line. The hole is huge. Here’s another run where Kareem Hunt is barely touched until he’s yards down the field. In similar fashion the formation calls for three wide receivers which brings in our nickel. At the snap Hunt gets the ball, Solomon Thomas gets turned outside by the tackle. Cassius Marsh tries to crash down but the guard chin checks him and he falls to his knees. This was Hunt’s longest run of the game Youth Mike Person Jersey , and it came at a critical time in the fourth quarter when KC was trying to run out the clock. There were several plays where our defensive line actually won their match up, but one of two things happened. In Deforest Buckner’s case, he was often doubled, or chipped by the back. As you can see below Buckner totally obliterates this offensive lineman, but the center is in perfect position to help out, so he never reaches the QB.The second thing that happened when our defensive lineman won, was missed tackles. They simply whiffed on the play. For example in the clip below Arik Armstead works Travis Kelce, but then proceeds to miss the tackle for loss. This leads to a long gain for the Chiefs. The first half was abysmal. It was 35-7 when the teams hit the locker room. I do want to give the staff credit for making adjustments and keeping the players motivated. I think an unsung piece that had more impact than people might've thought was the absence of Jaquiski Tartt. He’s physical, plays good enough in coverage, but also keeps the defense in position to win. I’m glad they left the zone coverage in the locker room and went with more man to man. They gave D.J. Reed more time, he seems to be even faster than Adrian Colbert, and played pretty well. We held the Chiefs to only three points the rest of the game. Some of it was Andy Reid and staff going more vanilla, but the defense still made some great plays to get the offense the ball. Against the Chargers, we face another offense with multiple offensive weapons. I’m hoping to see better tackling from the defense. The story on everyone’s hearts and minds will be the offense and C.J. Beathard. But if the defense gives up 35 points, it doesn’t matter if Beathard and the offense score 30 points. Go Niners.

Carolina The New York Giants fell in heartbreaking fashion on Sunday afternoon Womens Jon Halapio Jersey , dropping their fourth loss of the season to the Carolina Panthers 33-31. Panthers kicker Graham Gano hit a 63-yard field goal to win the game. Let’s take a look at what the players are saying following the tough loss. Landon Collins on how the Giants locker room is dealing with Odell Beckham’s comments from earlier this week...“I don’t know what comments you guys are talking about,” Collins said. “I didn’t hear about them, but when Odell [Beckham] came to talk to us, he spoke from the heart, he talked gratefully, and we knew where he was coming from. We knew he was coming from the heart, so you know he’s a great teammate, a great guy, a great person and a leader. This offense, this team, we have to look up to him, so we knew where he was coming from.”Panthers quarterback Cam Newton on Gano’s game-winning kick...“I am happy that we got a kicker like that,” Newton said. “A wise man once told me that a great quarterback is only as good as his kicker. Over the years you see so many quarterbacks get bailed out by the kickers. I shouldn’t say bailed out, I’ll just say helped out and Graham put the whole team on his back today. Well, on his toe today.”Gano on the reaction on the field following his game-winning kick...“That was madness,” Gano said. “That’s the only word I can use to explain it. I just don’t think it’s hit me yet. I was going nuts. I think the first thing I saw was Mike (Palardy) reacting that it went in because I couldn’t really see over those giants in front of us – not the other team, just our offensive lineman. But I just have no words for it.”Saquon Barkley on the on the go-ahead touchdown...“At the moment http://www.newyorkgiantsteamonline.com/b.j.-hill-jersey , it felt great,” Barkley said. “We wanted to go down and find a way to score and put seven on the board. We needed seven on the board. Coach, the offensive coordinator and the whole offensive staff called great plays and put us in great positions to get into the end zone. We found a way to get into the end zone. Like I said, Carolina came up with a 63-yard field goal. I don’t know what else you can say about that. We played our butt off and you have to give credit where credit is due. They made a 63-yard field goal and won the game.“Beckham on regretting any comments criticizing head coach, Pat Shurmur and teammates...“I don’t regret anything, I don’t regret anything that I said,” Beckham said. “If it took that for us to come together as a team like we did today, I can take that every single time. I spoke to the team just to kind of relay the message that sometimes stuff comes off the wrong way. Words can be portrayed in any kind of light. The conversation is between us. But the way we responded as a team to what was said, I felt like it would’ve been too easy after what was said, and after what I said to them for us to come in here and have heart, energy and all that stuff. Grit, whatever the words you want to use for that. We had it today, and we came up short, but I’m proud of this team, and this is the team that we are going to be for the rest of the season. Like I said, if it took that to get us going, I can take that. I’m trying to be a leader Womens Riley Dixon Jersey , I’m in a position I’ve never been in. I’m trying to grow, I’m learning on the way, on the fly, but I’m proud of where we went today. We gave it our all, we came against adversity, calls here and there. We can never rely on the referees to win the game, but there was calls here and there that were questionable or this and that, but we kept fighting, kept fighting, and kept fighting. That’s all I could ask for.”NFC East remains within reach for last-place Giants I’m not looking forward to spending five hours in the car on Tuesday, but I am looking forward to getting into the Giants’ locker room and gauging the temperature of the players in the room. It’s been a tumultuous few days for the Giants. The Odell Beckham Jr. melodrama. A difficult loss that dropped them to 1-4, followed by an uncharacteristically angry press conference from coach Pat Shurmur. The jettisoning of former first-round pick Ereck Flowers. The specter of a short week and a Thursday Night Football encounter with the rival Philadelphia Eagles. What kind of mood is this team in? Are they ready to pack it in, knowing their fate for 2018 is sealed? That seemed to be the case when they fell to 0-3 a year ago on a 61-yard field goal by Eagles’ rookie kicker Jake Elliott. Are they ready to fight? Do they still believe they have something to play for this season? Are they itching to build off Sunday, when they played perhaps their most inspired game of the season in a losing effort?I wrote Sunday night that I believe this Giants team has a better chance of digging itself out of its current plight than last year’s team did. I said the same thing on Monday’s ‘Locked on Giants’ podcast.Tuesday, and whatever happens on Thursday against the Eagles, will tell us a lot.The NFC East is still there for the takingThat’s the amazing part. Even with just one victory in five games, the Giants still have a chance in the NFC East. The New Orleans Saints’ 43-19 beat down of the Washington Redskins Monday means every team in the division lost in Week 5 and no team has more than two victories. Here are your NFC East standings:1 - Washington Redskins (2-2)2 - Dallas Cowboys (2-3)3 - Philadelphia Eagles (2-3)4 - New York Giants (1-4)The Eagles are the defending Super Bowl champs. Even with quarterback Carson Wentz back from last season’s knee injury Authentic Dalvin Tomlinson Jersey , though, they haven’t looked like it yet. Philly is averaging 20.6 points per game, less than the Giants (20.8), and just lost running back Jay Ajayi for the season with a knee injury. The Cowboys don’t really look like a good team and now coach Jason Garrett is being questioned by owner Jerry Jones. The Redskins? Hard to believe in them after what we saw Monday night. If the Giants can win Thursday night against the Eagles, they put themselves right in the middle of the race. Wrapping up the Odell dramaJust like people are dug in on Eli Manning, so are they dug in on Beckham. The arguing rages on and on, as we saw with the reactions to his ESPN interview, and no minds get changed. At the risk of stirring this whole hornet’s nest up again, I want to clarify something. I’m getting crucified as an Odell hater, and if that’s what you believe that’s not going to change. It isn’t, however, true. I just don’t always agree with his actions. When it comes to his interview with Josina Anderson, Beckham said a lot of things about heart and energy and the need to be more aggressive and imaginative on offense that rang true. Good for him. Saying that losing wasn’t OK and that the Giants, with the talent they have, needed to be better on offense is fine and probably needed to be said. I just thought it was ill-advised to make his remarks in a silly setting with the rapper L’il Wayne there nodding along in agreement. I will also agree with Peter King that Beckham went too far by not supporting his quarterback and by not shutting Anderson down when she asked if he was unhappy in New York just weeks after the Giants made him the game’s highest-paid wide receiver.Finito. Done. That’s all I’ve got on that topic.Sunday’s version was the Eli the Giants needEli Manning threw two interceptions on Sunday after having thrown only one in the first four games. He compiled his lowest completion percentage of the season. His passer rating was his second-lowest of the season. And I will take that version of Manning every single week for the next 11 games. That was the Kevin Gilbride-era Manning. He pushed the ball down the field, averaging 10.7 Intended Air Yards per throw (third among Week 5 quarterbacks per Next Gen Stats) and was seventh among QBs in Aggressiveness Percentage.Ten of Manning’s 36 throws were at least 15 yards down the field and the Giants had six completions of 20 yards or more. Interceptions or not, this was Manning’s best game of the season. He made mistakes Womens Sterling Shepard Jersey , getting fooled by the Panthers on his first interception and just plain throwing a bad ball on the second. But, he kept firing. Kept attacking. Made plays at the end when they mattered, and had the Giants in a position to win the game with a minute left. I will take that over “Checkdown Eli” every week, even with the interceptions.About those penaltiesIf this is a penalty on Landon Collins then you simply are not allowed to try to play defense any longer in the NFL.Collins is diving for the ball and gets his hands on it. He’s not even turned toward Carolina’s Devin Funchess when contact occurs, so how can he be targeting something he’s not even looking at? If anything, Collins is the defenseless receiver here who gets hit by Funchess. You might argue that the penalty could have been on Michael Thomas (31), but he is also clearly leading with his hands and trying to avoid an infraction. There is helmet-to-helmet contact with all three players, but it’s all incidental. It’s all football. There is zero intent and absolutely nothing any of the players involved could have done differently. Other than just let Funchess catch the ball.In chatting with Chris about this, I think he’s absolutely right. Whether they slow the game down or not, the helmet-to-helmet calls and the roughing the passer penalties (which are way out of control, in case you hadn’t noticed) should be quickly and automatically reviewed. If the league doesn’t want to automatically review these plays, how about adding one “penalty challenge” for each team to give coaches the option of asking for review on a critical play like that one?I honestly don’t blame the on-field officials for what is happening. Yes, they are the ones throwing the flags. They are, however, being asked to subjectively judge intent and far too many incredibly hard to parse minute details in real time with athletes moving at incredible rates of speed. They are being asked to do too much. I also understand the anger about the Christian McCaffrey first down call. This tweet appears to clearly show that McCaffrey, with the ball in his left arm, never gets the ball to the line to gain.I’m also not buying this Authentic Evan Engram Jersey , from the league:It would have been interesting to see the Panthers try to run the field-goal team on and get that kick off with the clock running down. The distance wouldn’t have changed, but the degree of difficulty certainly would have. That said, the Giants shouldn’t blame this loss on the officials. Beckham muffed a punt that cost them a touchdown and dropped a fourth-down pass that ended a scoring opportunity. Russell Shepard had a drop and a penalty that ended a drive. The Giants turned a Carolina fourth-and-8 at the Giants’ 41-yard line into a Panthers’ first down at the 16 with THREE penalties. Manning threw two picks. They couldn’t run block. Or tackle. The officials made mistakes. So, however, did the Giants.Adieu, Ereck FlowersOffensive tackle Ereck Flowers is in his final hours as a member of the Giants. The Giants will cut Flowers today if they aren’t’ able to trade him by 4 p.m. ET.The NFL Trade Deadline isn’t for another three weeks (Oct. 30), but the Giants have obviously decided to cut their losses — financial and otherwise — and move on.The whole Flowers saga in New York has been unfortunate. Maybe things would have been better for him if he hadn’t been forced to play left tackle immediately as a rookie due to the injury to Will Beatty. Then again, maybe not.Flowers’ personality, barely speaking to media, never seemed to fit in the big city. In four years it looked like the only friend he ever had in the locker room was ex-Giant Bobby Hart, and that didn’t end well. At least when media is around, other players seem to hardly ever speak to Flowers. Having gone through three position coaches and a position switch you have to believe at this point his lack of improvement over the years has more to do with him than the quality of coaching he has received.Missing on a pick in the top 10 of the draft is a huge setback for the franchise When they selected him ninth overall in 2015 he was looked at as the potential cornerstone of the offensive line for a decade. Now, he becomes little more than a symbol of the failure to get that critical position group right for the past several seasons. A failure the current regime is still paying for, and trying to correct.[E-mail Ed at bigblueview@gmail.com or via the Big Blue View Contact Page | Follow Big Blue View on Twitter | ‘Like’ Big Blue View on Facebook | Follow Big Blue View on Instagram]

a play breaks down and Patrick Mahomes is forced to improvise http://www.giantscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-alec-ogletree-jersey , and the Chiefs' wide receiver basically body-shamed his starting quarterback."When you see his slow behind roll out," Hill began, "or whatever he's doing, in my mind I go to, 'Alert! Alert! Alert! And I just have to get back to him and be around the ball."Now, there are a couple of things worth mentioning here: First, Hill's world-class speed makes just about everybody look slow, even a quarterback with better-than-average speed. And second, Hill calling his QB slow is just part of the innocent banter that goes on daily in the Kansas City locker room. These aren't the Chiefs of yesteryear, when veterans such as Derrick Johnson, Tamba Hali and Alex Smith ruled the locker room. These bunch of Chiefs talk as much good-natured trash to each other as they do opposing teams, and the byproduct is a locker room that has grown remarkably close, and has been able to keep things light during a 4-0 start in which the spotlight has been bright.Need another example? Take Mahomes' unique voice. He's been chided about what coach Andy Reid called its "froggish" quality ever since Mahomes was in middle school. Mahomes long ago accepted it, and in truth he appreciates a good joke or imitation.Word in the locker room is Reid does it best, though he was unwilling to indulge during his weekly news conference.Wide receiver Demarcus Robinson also has a spot-on imitation Cheap Jon Halapio Jersey , and tight end Travis Kelce — one of the longtime jokesters in the Chiefs locker room — is also quite good."I've heard the jokes since I was like, in the seventh grade," Mahomes said, "but it's something I've embraced. Kelce and Tyreek throw some shots at me, but I throw some shots right back."It's me. It's who I am. I'm never going to be insecure about it. Just embrace it and who I am."All these hijinks have helped the Chiefs deal with the pressure that comes with a perfect start, one that has the NFL buzzing. Three of their wins have come on the road, including tough venues in Pittsburgh and Denver, and they appear to be the team to beat in the AFC West.Mahomes has thrown 14 TD passes without an interception, becoming not only the toast of Kansas City but a fantasy football darling everywhere.Kelce, Hill and newcomer Sammy Watkins have helped him flourish in an offense that seems predicated on fun, first and foremost, and running back Kareem Hunt is coming off his first 100-yard game, lest anybody think they can't go old-school.The result has been a crush of attention unlike anything the Chiefs have seen in recent years.Mahomes gets several hundred interview requests each week, and Kelce and Hill are bombarded when they go out in public. So many reporters and TV crews crammed in the club's tiny media room Wednesday that one openly pondered whether it was a violation of the fire code. You wouldn't know it from the way the Chiefs go about their business, though. Mahomes has a habit of locking himself in the film room http://www.giantscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-connor-barwin-jersey , and nobody is trying to escape early when Friday rolls around."When you start to get in front of yourself in this thing, it's a humbling business," Reid cautioned this week. "You're playing the best in the world. You have to be sharp. There's not a lot of secrets anymore, so you really have to hone in and make sure you're on the top of your game, and it's not just me. It's everybody here, coaches and players alike."Keeping things light helps to accomplish just that. The latest subject of discussion had to do with whether Mahomes, a former prep basketball star, has enough ups to dunk. He insists there is video evidence showing him dunking during a high school game, and a grainy video surfaced on the internet that purportedly shows him poster-izing a defender."Pat cannot dunk, man," Hill insisted. "I had him in a celeb game this offseason. He tried to dunk a couple of times in warmups and clearly failed. That video is not Pat. That's some other kid."Let the trash-talk roll on.Notes: Safety Eric Berry (heel) remained the only Chiefs player out of practice Thursday. ... Special teams coach Dave Toub said the Chiefs are preparing for rain that is expected Sunday, when Kansas City plays Jacksonville. The forecast is calling for a 100 percent chance. "We had some chances to practice in rain in training camp," Toub said. "We'll do our wet-ball drills and we'll be ready."Giants injury report, 9/6: Olivier Vernon misses another practice Outside linebacker Olivier Vernon (ankle) missed another New York Giants practice Thursday, casting doubt on his his availability for Sunday’s season-opening game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.Vernon suffered what is believed to have been a high ankle sprain in practice a couple of weeks ago.Coach Pat Shurmur said Wednesday that Vernon was “making great progress” and appeared to be a “fast healer.”Perhaps Cheap Will Hernandez Jersey , though, not fast enough.Linebackers Tae Davis (hamstring) and Lorenzo Carter (illness) also did not practice. On the positive side, veteran linebacker Connor Barwin said Thursday he is ready to play. Barwin has been out since the first preseason game after suffering a knee injury.“I’m ready to go. I feel good. Like you said, it’s time to go. This is the real Week 1, so I’m ready to go. I’m excited about playing,” Barwin said.“I’ve played in a lot of NFL football games. You can say my legs are little fresh going into this week, because I had about a week and a half off of training camp, so it worked out. I did everything I had to do when I was down for those days. I feel prepared, I know what I’m supposed to do, and again, my legs are fresh going into Sunday.”Week 6 Injury ReportPlayerPositionInjuryTues.Wed.Game StatusPlayerPositionInjuryTues.Wed.Game StatusJaguars injuriesLimited participationC Brandon Linder (knee)OL Jermey Parnell (knee)CB Jalen Ramsey (ankle)TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (core muscle)

Authentic Josh Doctson Jersey , the officials missed a blatant hit to the helmet of a defenseless receiver, when Cowboys safety Xavier Woods knocked Washington tight end Jordan Reed silly. And it appears that none of the seven officials saw the helmet-to-helmet contact.“I asked the referees and they said it wasn鈥檛 helmet-to-helmet on the field, but clearly when you watch it, it was, so just a play that they must have missed for some reason,” Washington coach Jay Gruden told reporters on Friday.Miss it they did Youth Trent Williams Jersey , which cries out for procedures aimed at preventing them from missing such a blatant violation of an important safety rule. If nothing else, the real-time pipeline from the league office should be used in those situations to tell the referee to throw a flag, now.Sure, that would be a violation of the protocol for using the real-time pipeline. But who cares? It’s always better to get it right. And if the real-time pipeline is used for those purposes, it’s hard to imagine anyone getting worked up about it.Especially when getting it right in that situation would have given anyone who legally wagered on Washington plus the points a chance to win some money.Kevin Hogan Drops By The Audible To Chat Burgundy-and-Gold (And Purple and Cardinal) Every once in a while at The Audible, we’re lucky enough to score a cool guest on a phone call or even a visit Ryan Kerrigan Jersey , but it’s few and far between that the most Popular Man In Washington stops by the Basement. That’s exactly what happened last night as the Redskins’ newest addition to the QB corps, backup (i.e. the Most Popular Man in D.C.) Kevin Hogan stopped by for a sit down chat with the gang. For the uniformed, Hogan is something of D.C. football royalty. An alum of Gonzaga College High School in our favorite conference, the WCAC, Kevin racked up well-deserved accolades for his play for the Eagles. He was the D.C. Team: Arizona Cardinals2017 Record: 8-8 (3rd, NFC West)Outlook: The Cardinals won their last two games of the 2017 season to rally for a .500 finish in Bruce Arians’ swan song.Considering the instability at quarterback (Carson Palmer Authentic Mason Foster Jersey , Blaine Gabbert, and Drew Stanton each started at least four games), and the injury to stud running back David Johnson in the season opener, a break-even year wasn’t bad. Now, the Cardinals are banking on Sam Bradford bringing some consistency under center.Larry Fitzgerald is back after one of the best years of his career at age 34.The defense has solid personnel Youth Jamison Crowder Jersey , led by All-Pro Chandler Jones. The big question, though, is how much time it will take for the Cardinals to gel under Steve Wilks’ new coaching regime (not to mention with a new quarterback). The Redskins beat this team last year in Landover by a 20-15 score. How Worried Should We Be?: Somewhat worried, but no need to panic. The game is on the road, and David Johnson scares me a lot.Not great. On the other hand Josh Norman Jersey , the Cardinals thought to themselves, “We need stability at quarterback” and their solution was to go out and sign a guy who has missed 42 games since 2013.I also think getting the Cardinals early helps the Redskins, as Arizona is likely to improve over the course of the year as they become more comfortable with Bradford and the new staff finds its way.  for defenders who never take their eyes off the ball. Not surprisingly Youth JuJu Smith-Schuster Jersey , Quinn raves often about third-year linebacker Deion Jones. The only problem is that Jones, a Pro Bowl alternate pick last season, missed 10 games with a broken foot, and the once-sleek defense fell apart without its signal-caller.But now that Jones is back and healthy, Quinn likes his chances as Atlanta (5-9) prepares to visit Carolina (6-8)."Our attempts on the football are higher over the last three weeks," Quinn said. "Last week was higher than the week before, and that was higher than the week before, and the week before. For him being back in the lineup Youth Jon Bostic Jersey , that's also a strong indicator of his awareness of the football."Jones isn't accustomed to getting embarrassed in coverage. He knows his skills are as stout against the pass as they are against the run, so when David Johnson beat him on a 40-yard catch and run on the opening drive of last week's win over Arizona, Jones was livid."It kind of throws you off a little bit, and then I have to reset and get back to my details and keep fighting," Jones told The Associated Press. "There was still a lot of game to play."Indeed, on the Cardinals' next possession, Jones was shading Johnson in coverage when defensive end Vic Beasley tipped a pass at the line of scrimmage. Jones snatched the ball from the air and ran 41 yards for a tying touchdown. That was his third score in eight career interceptions. He also had a pick in the end zone last year to save a narrow win over New Orleans."I'm always after the ball, man Youth Javon Hargrave Jersey ," Jones said. . That's what we preach, and I try to live that every down when I'm out there. If I see an opp, I take my swing at it.What the Falcons missed most about Jones was his speed. At 6-foot-1, 222 pounds, he has the same size and quickness he had at his pro day at LSU, where he dazzled scouts by running the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds. His pick-six against the Cardinals began the best day of the year for Atlanta's defense. Though it came against an Arizona offense riddled with injuries and horrible statistics, the Falcons still got an interception from Brian Poole and a fumble recovery from Poole and Grady Jarrett. But as they prepare to face a Carolina offense that has backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke replacing injured star Cam Newton, the Falcons need another shutdown performance to improve on a defense that ranks second-worst in third-down percentage and red-zone efficiency Youth James Conner Jersey , fourth-worst in scoring and eighth-worst against the run.The most important matchup could likely be Jones against Panthers multipurpose back Christian McCaffrey, who can be a nightmare to cover man-to-man."That's strength on strength in that instance," Quinn said. "We'll rely on Debo quite a bit in that way."Even if Jones has a slipup similar to one he had against Arizona, Quinn likes his linebacker's chances over the course of a full game."It doesn't happen that often with him," Quinn said. "People try him a lot, but he's usually right there ready to respond."Notes: WR Julio Jones was held out of practice Wednesday with a sore hip. Quinn said Jones will play at Carolina. ... Quinn officially ruled out RB Devonta Freeman, sidelined since Week 5 with a groin injury, for the last two games.Steelers vs. Bengals Authentic Xavier Grimble Jersey , Week 6: 2nd quarter in-game update 1st Quarter In-Game UpdateThe Steelers answered the Cincinnati touchdown with an impressive touchdown drive of their own. After huge third down conversions to both JuJu Smith-Schuster and Antonio Brown, it was James Conner who plunged into the endzone to start the second quarter to tie the game 7-7 with 14:33 left in the half. The back-and-forth half continued between these two teams. Punts and passes dropped were the norm for both sides, but it was Pittsburgh who tacked on the next points after the Ben Roethlisberger to Vance McDonald connection heated up with just over 5 minutes left in the half. After a tremendous reception by JuJu Smith-Schuster to rip the ball away from Bengals defender Darqueze Dennard, it set up the Steelers’ offense at the one foot line. James Conner would do the rest for his second touchdown of the day. Chris Boswell made the point-after to give Pittsburgh a 14-7 lead with 1:07 left in the half.Rather than kicking the football out of the endzone, Boswell left it in play and Alex Erickson returned it 43 yards to near midfield on the ensuing kickoff. Dalton did the rest by shredding the Pittsburgh secondary before hitting Tyler Boyd for another touchdown, tying the score at 14 heading into halftime. Custom Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys

spring Youth Ramon Foster Jersey , Atlanta's trip to Pittsburgh on the first Sunday in October looked like a potential Super Bowl preview. Then September happened and the lofty preseason expectations evaporated, replaced by an unruly and unpredictable reality.Pittsburgh All-Pro running back Le'Veon Bell extended his franchise-tag induced sabbatical indefinitely, wide receiver Antonio Brown couldn't stop making headlines for things that had little to do with football , and the revamped secondary spent far too much time chasing opponents to the end zone. Atlanta, meanwhile, couldn't stop sending defensive starters to the trainer's room or finding excruciating ways to drop close games .The Steelers (1-2-1) and the Falcons (1-3) both stress panicking with three quarters of the season to go is unwise even with both clubs in highly competitive divisions."(We) don't want to look down the road about things that are two or three weeks away," Atlanta coach Dan Quinn said. "The mindset of just own now man, own this week."Maybe Quinn should settle for his team owning the final minutes. Atlanta has led in the fourth quarter in each of its three losses. At least the Falcons have been close. The Steelers, not so much. Pittsburgh has not held the lead at any point in each of its last three games at Heinz Field."Last year we kind of started a little sloppy, too, so you know you guys can look at records all you want, we're not," Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said. "We're looking at this next week and trying to get a win because that's all that really matters."Roethlisberger is right. Sort of.The Steelers have been sluggish in September under coach Mike Tomlin but round into form as the days grow shorter and the temperature drops. Tomlin is 30-13 in October in his career, and a year ago Pittsburgh began a sluggish 3-2, then ripped off eight straight wins on its way to a second consecutive AFC North title. Not that Tomlin's players are looking for comfort in the idea that they've been here before and gotten it together in time to reach the postseason."I want to be great all the way around," Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey said. "I don't even like assumptions like that."Considering the state of Pittsburgh's defense http://www.steelersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-marcus-gilbert-jersey , that might be wise. The Steelers are 30th in yards allowed, 26th in points allowed and now face Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan, wide receiver Julio Jones and breakout rookie receiver Calvin Ridley. It's the NFL equivalent of flunking an algebra test and getting thrown into trigonometry class anyway."They're a juggernaut," Pittsburgh defensive end Cam Heyward said. "I told my guys, what a way to start the second quarter of the season by beating a good team like that.'"JULIO'S SCORING DROUGHTJones leads the NFL with 502 yards receiving. But he's still looking for his first touchdown catch. Meanwhile, Ridley leads the NFL with six scoring grabs and his three TD receptions against the Saints two weeks ago matched Jones' total for the entire 2017 season. So where's the red-zone love for Jones?"His production is through the roof," Ryan said. "... He's going to find the end zone. People are accounting for him and are continuing to account for him even with the production of other guys. So he stays unselfish when he gets his opportunities and makes plays; nobody plays harder than him. We'd love for him to get in the end zone, but we have to find ways to get into the end zone whoever it is, and he's 100 percent on board with that, too."A DO RUN RUN?While Bell told ESPN this week he plans to end his standoff by the end of the month, it will be up to James Conner and the offensive line to help get Pittsburgh's uneven running game in order until Bell eventually arrives. The Steelers ran 11 times for 19 yards last week against Baltimore, the fifth-lowest single-game rushing total in franchise history.Running effectively 鈥?whoever is doing the running 鈥?would help the Steelers control the clock and take some of the pressure off Pittsburgh's defense."I know everybody wants to see the run game and trust me, as an offensive lineman, we want to see it too," Pouncey said. "It's early in the season, things will come along."SACKS FOR TAKKFalcons defensive end Takk McKinley is enjoying a breakout season with five sacks David DeCastro Jersey , including three for a loss of 29 yards in last week's loss to the Bengals."It's great to see a man who still loves just putting on his helmet and going after the quarterback," said defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel, who said McKinley's spirit "enlightens everyone."McKinley ranked fourth among rookies in 2017 with six sacks.COMING AND GOINGAtlanta expects to have running back Devonta Freeman available. Freeman missed the last three games with a sore right knee. Pittsburgh's secondary could get a boost from the return of cornerback Mike Hilton, who sat last week with a right elbow issue, and veteran safety Morgan Burnett, who has been slowed by a groin problem.AP Sports Writer Charles Odum contributed to this report.NFL Expert Picks: Checking who the experts like in Steelers vs. Bengals, Week 6 The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals will go head-to-head in an AFC North showdown on Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, OH. On paper, this game seems easy to pick. The Bengals enter the game with a nifty 4-1 record, while the Steelers are sporting an underachieving 2-2-1 record. The 4-1 team naturally will win, right?Maybe in most instances, but not when it comes to Bengals vs. Steelers. The Steelers have won the last six meetings between these two teams, and this game will be a lot closer than what their respective records might indicate. The Steelers are coming off a huge win against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5, and the Bengals are coming off their own impressive win by clawing their way back from being down 17-0 to the Dolphins, and still finding a way to win.Needless to say, when you look at the sordid history between these two organizations Authentic Javon Hargrave Jersey , this game will have plenty of fireworks, and I’m not even talking about the potent offenses of both teams. With all that said, who are the experts picking to win this divisional game? It is time to check in on those ‘experts’ and see who is picking the Bengals to take a commanding lead in the division, as well as those who think the Steelers will win back-to-back games for the first time this year and make the divisional race something to watch in the second half of the season. There is a large contingent of experts who don’t believe the hype surrounding the Bengals, and the majority of those experts reside at CBS Sports. Of their 8 experts who submit picks, only ONE thinks the Bengals will win at home and advance their record to 5-1. For a more middle of the road mindset regarding this game, look no further than ESPN. The experts at the mother ship are split down the middle with this game. 5 for the Steelers, 5 for the Bengals.Looking for a pro-Bengals site, the haters here at SB Nation were more than happy to oblige. 7 experts pick games weekly, and only 2 of them think the Steelers have any chance of winning and advancing their record to 3-2-1 heading into their bye week. But these are only three websites. What about the hundreds of experts who submit picks who aren’t a part of the aforementioned panels? This is where our friends at NFL Pick Watch come in handy. NFL Pick Watch is a website who tallies all NFL expert picks and puts them into one easy to read chart. For this Week 6 game, they are showing 59% of the experts favoring the Bengals at home in this matchup. This would be close to the 2-point spread currently in favor of Cincinnati. This is the first time this season the Steelers haven’t held the majority of expert picks before a game, and the first time Las Vegas has them as underdogs in the point spread category. Will Pittsburgh build off their 41-17 dismantling of the Falcons last week, exposing the Bengals in the process? Or will the Bengals show they are here to stay at the top of the division? Only time will tell... Wholesale NFL Jerseys
