”There is something about this stage with him,” Rivera said. ”He played a tremendous game.”

Dallas (41-31-8) defeated the Sharks 4-2 in San Jose Tuesday night, coming back from a 2-0 deficit. They have gone 3-5-2 in their last 10 games but have won their last two contests. Mike McKenna got the victory on the strength of 17 saves after he replaced starter Kari Lehtonen in the Dallas goal. Lehtonen stopped 12 shots and allowed both San Jose goals. He exited after being stunned by a hard shot late in period one.

The Stars were knocked from playoff contention on Sunday. They looked disinterested in the first part of the San Jose game but tied things as the last five minutes approached. Jamie Benn scored both the go-ahead goal and the empty-net insurance marker in the last 3:06.

One thing the Eagles did successfully at home and on the road all season was pressure the opponent’s quarterback, and when the Patriots have faltered in two Super Bowl losses to the Giants in the past decade, a relentless pass rush has contributed. Seattle had hopes for promising rookie Chris Carson, but he was sidelined by an ankle injury early in the season and never made it back. Earl Thomas is entering the last year of his contract and his actions toward the end of the season indicated a desire to be elsewhere for the 2018 season.

A big key will be if Seattle can re-sign versatile safety Bradley McDougald after he played both free and strong safety this season.

HOME-FIELD AVERAGE: Seattle went 4-4 at home, its first .500 record at CenturyLink Field since 2011. The Seahawks have always thrived at home, but some of their uglier performances this year came in front of their own fans.

OFF THE FIELD: Seattle was among the most active teams in the league with a significant number of players participating in national anthem protests. The protests, on top of the incident Michael Bennett had with police in Las Vegas in August Thomas Rawls Jersey Elite , created a number of unexpected issues.

Carroll said he believed that only once this season – Seattle’s loss at Tennessee – did discussions of off-field issues affect the team’s performance. ”That was an extraordinarily heated time,” Carroll said. ”I think that was a different amount of emotional output that occurred before the game and it looked like it the way we played.”

NEW ORLEANS (AP) Saints running back Mark Ingram wasn’t entirely happy with his end zone dance Jaleel Scott Super Bowl LI Jersey , saying it wasn’t quite TV ready.

Ingram was pleased, however, to have scored twice in a 52-38 triumph over Detroit on Sunday and see the normally pass-happy Saints win a game with more yards on the ground than through the air.

Ironically, the Saints’ run-heavy triumph came on the heels of a decision to trade Adrian Peterson to Arizona after the veteran star running back had appeared in only four games. The move allowed the Saints to focus more play-calling for running backs on Ingram and versatile rookie Alvin Kamara, whose skills perhaps fit better in the ”West Coast” style offense designed and called by coach Sean Payton.

”We wanted to take advantage of the opportunity,” Ingram said. ”We wanted to prove that we can carry this team running the ball, receiving the ball and being playmakers for this offense.”

The tandem combined for 237 yards from scrimmage. Ingram had 114 yards rushing on 25 carries, and 36 yards receiving on five catches. Kamara gained 75 yards on 10 carries and caught four passes for 12 yards. The Saints (3-2) had 186 yards passing against Detroit (3-3).

Ingram said he wasn’t surprised the running game thrived with focus of the game plan narrowed from three running backs to two.

”When you’re in Authentic Royce Freeman Jersey , out, down a series, maybe two series, you just don’t stay warm. You just don’t stay in the flow of a game,” Ingram said. ”Any running back in this league will tell you that when they touch the ball, when they carry the ball, they feel well. Here are some key story lines that emerged from the Saints’ wild win over the Lions:

”That is the attitude that our team has. That is the attitude that I have,” Stafford said. ”No matter how I am feeling, I am going to be out there and trying to help us win.”

SURGING SAINTS: Looking lost after a pair of double-digit losses to start the season, the Saints have now won three straight by no less than two touchdowns. They are above .500 for the first time since 2013, the last time they made the playoffs.

”At 0-2, you have a chance to either fold up and cry about it or you can come to work and try and turn the ship around,” Ingram said. ”We just have a lot of good guys in this locker room.”

WELCOME BYE: Stafford made it clear Detroit’s Week 7 bye is coming at a good time – not just because of his ankle. Safety Glover Quin was knocked out of the game with a head injury. Left tackle Greg Robinson left the game with an ankle injury and wore a protective boot. Receiver Golden Tate Wholesale James Washington Jersey , who had a 45-yard TD among his seven catches for 96 yards, left the game with a shoulder injury in the second half.

”He was playing at a high level today,” Stafford said. ”Sorry to see him to go off the field with whatever he has got, but he is a big part of our offense. He is a really talented player. He worked the middle of the field great today and made some big plays.”

GETTING DEFENSIVE: Payton credited the Saints defense for bailing the team out of ”dumb” mistakes on offense and special teams. The Saints defense set a franchise record with three scores, none bigger than end Cam Jordan’s late interception of a pass he defected to himself for a touchdown. Those scores made the three TD’s the Saints defense allowed a virtual wash.

”That’s what we’ve been missing as a team,” Jordan said. ”We’ve always had a potent offense … and our defense is finally playing how they should be.”

RENTON Authentic Barkevious Mingo Jersey , Wash. (AP) Defensive end Cliff Avril is expected to be placed on injured reserve by the Seattle Seahawks as he continues to deal with a neck injury.

Avril was injured three weeks ago in a game against the Indianapolis Colts. While chasing down Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett, the back of Brissett’s foot caught Avril in the chin as he lunged to make the tackle. Avril was seen shaking his arms and flexing his hands after the impact.

Head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday in an interview with Sirius XM NFL Radio that Avril will go on injured reserve.

”He’s seeing a bunch of doctors Ed Dickson Super Bowl LI Jersey , seriously looking at a big decision,” Carroll said.

Avril would be eligible to return from injured reserve after eight weeks and able to return to practice after six weeks. Seattle can have two players return from the injured reserve list during the season and has not used either one of its return designations up to this point.

That early score put the Oakland Raiders ahead to stay, and Carr remained on target to help beat the Miami Dolphins 27-24 on Sunday.

Carr went 21 of 30 for 300 yards with one touchdown and one interception, and helped the Raiders convert 8 for 15 third downs.

Oakland (4-5) won for only the second time since Week 2.

”That’s what we needed,” Carr said. ”Guys were on edge this week, a little chippy, including me.”

The Dolphins recovered an onside kick and came up with a takeaway when Oakland fumbled twice on a single play Wholesale Pernell McPhee Jersey , but failed to convert either opportunity into points.

”That was a big deal stopping them there,” Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said. ”An excellent job of putting the fire out.”

Oakland also overcame 10 penalties for 105 yards, including three for unnecessary roughness in the second quarter.

The Raiders’ Marshawn Lynch, returning from a one-game suspension for shoving an official, scored on a 22-yard run, his longest this year. He added another late score and finished with 57 yards on 14 carries.

The Dolphins’ worst-in-the-NFL offense again struggled to run the ball in its first game since trading running back Jay Ajayi. Replacement Kenyan Drake had a 42-yard run – Miami’s longest this year – to set up a touchdown, but he also lost a fumble.

The Dolphins totaled just 86 yards rushing and still don’t have a rushing touchdown this season. They were hurt by 11 penalties for 107 yards.

”It seemed like we were going backward there a few times,” Cutler said.

SURPRISE TARGET

Holton outmaneuvered Reshad Jones in the end zone to catch Carr’s 44-yard touchdown pass. Holton’s celebratory dance was impressive Authentic Ronald Jones II Jersey , too – he clasped his hands between his knees and hopped along the sideline.

His only other catch this season was for a 64-yard score.

Carr’s favorite target was tight end Jared Cook, who had eight catches for 126 yards.

Carr moved the Raiders 42 yards in the final 26 seconds of the first half before Giorgio Tavecchio kicked a 53-yard field goal, the longest of his career, on the final play to put Oakland up 13-9 at halftime.

MIXED BAG

The Dolphins’ Cody Parkey missed an extra point but recovered his own onside kick. Miami failed to take advantage, with Kenyan Drake losing a fumble at the 20. Parkey also made a tackle on a kickoff.

HOT POTATO

Oakland fumbled twice on one play. When Carr was hit by Ndamukong Suh and coughed up the ball, 330-pound tackle Marshall Newhouse scooped it up and took off. He also fumbled when hit Authentic Nick Nelson Jersey , and Miami’s Charles Harris recovered.

INJURIES

Miami: RT Ja’Wuan James went to the locker room midway through the fourth quarter with a left hamstring injury. DT Ndamukong Suh briefly went to the locker room with an unspecified injury but returned to the game and said afterward he was fine.
