Stafford has all the talent in the world but is inconsistent at times, just like our own Kirk Cousins can be Minnesota Vikings Hoodie , but has seemed to have pulled rabbits out of his hat when it comes to beating the Norsemen in their home stadium. Drew brings his normal bird’s eye view of the stats, and suggest that will be easily able to run against this team. It’s looking like Dalvin Cook is likely to return to play, and Latavius Murray is running well, so this could very well be the case. We are still looking forward to production from Adam Thiel and Stefon Diggs. Diggs however, has already been ruled out for the game with a rib injury he suffered while landing on the ball last week. Aldrick Robinson has stepped up and caught touchdowns just about every time he’s been on the field, that will have to continue Sunday as he is expected to get more playing time.Even though the Lions traded away Golden Tate, they traded and got the week before, Damon “Snacks” Harrison to sure up their defensive line and beef up their run defense. The Vikings interior three, are going to have their hands full with that big man. This is the point where the rubber hits the road and the team must respond under the pressure. With the bye, Diggs has now had two weeks to rest up and get healthy, and it sounds like he’s made the most of it.When asked by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network Womens Andrew Sendejo Jersey , Diggs said that he will be out there with the Vikings take to the field for their big Sunday Night Football contest against the Chicago Bears this week.Diggs has missed games with injury issues in two of his first three seasons, and this is the first game he’s missed this year because of an injury. Despite missing last Sunday’s game, Diggs is still in the top ten in the NFL in receptions, though he has dropped to 24th in the league in receiving yardage. He has also opened things up quite a bit for fellow receiver Adam Thielen, who struggled a bit against the Lions without Diggs on the other side of the formation.With first place in the NFC North and the inside track to a second straight division title on the line on Sunday night, it would be nice to see Diggs out there for the Vikings at Soldier Field. Was it just us, or did you see the motivation leave the Vikings like air escaping a balloon, right after the Adam Thielen fumble?Both Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs had games with over 100 yards caught and a TD each. Captain Kirk Cousins threw for over 350 yards, and the defense held Drew Brees to only 120 yards even though Xavier Rhodes and Anthony Barr being out with injuries. Looking at the box score stats, you would have thought the Vikes won by two touchdowns鈥?but you would be wrong.The Vikings lost 30-20 at home against the second-best team in the NFC. It definitely had early playoff implications, especially when you think of the upcoming games. The Vikes have the Lions at home, their bye, a road game against the Bears, back home against the Packers, then a road trip that will crisscross the country going out to the Patriots and then out west to visit the Seahawks. We will definitely know by the end of that stretch just how good this team actually is. It doesn’t look like they are meeting pre-season expectations, for sure. Watch the show and see the questioning of Laquon Treadwell, John DeFilippo [or is it DeFiloppo?] and his odd play calling at times, clock management versus play execution, and the other things that had us wondering why this game didn’t go better. Most of this success came without the services of Dalvin Cook, following his ACL tear in Week 4. Coming into 2018, all pundits, writers, fantasy owners, and probably the Vikings themselves thought this was something that would be good again, or even improve upon Dalvin’s return. However, with the exception of this previous week’s performance vs. Arizona, that has been far from the case.Entering Week 7, the Vikings are averaging a horrendous 87.3 rushing yards/game http://www.vikingscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-eric-kendricks-jersey , 28th in the NFL. When they acquired Kirk Cousins, seemingly pairing him with a strong running game was his missing piece. Not having a strong running game to go to as a tone setter in the 1st quarter has been an enormous issue. So what are the values of Dalvin Cook and Latavius Murray?It’s very feasible that Cook’s hamstring injury could nag for the duration of the 2018 campaign, which makes it even more feasible that him and Murray have a more even split of touches than what was originally anticipated. It’s also possible Cook makes his living catching passes, at least as far as fantasy output goes, not that it solves the issues of having an incompetent rushing attack thus far. However, that can’t be all put in Cook. Statistically, he’s been one of the league’s best at making people miss. While it’s a good showing of his strong set of skills, it’s also an indicator of just how poor the offensive line has been, which has also struggled to consistently protect Kirk Cousins.One thing that also needs to be taken into consideration is the fact that C.J. Ham, Roc Thomas, and Mike Boone are all being kept on the roster. All three have had their share of touches, and Ham was lined up in the backfield on Cousins’ touchdown run against Arizona. It’s entirely possible that this was done by Mike Zimmer already having an idea that Cook may struggle with his health this season. For someone taken so high in fantasy drafts prior to the season, many owners of Cook (myself included) can’t be to happy about this.Simply put, no Vikings running back is a weekly top choice to start on your team. There are too many questions about how far the offensive line has regressed from a season ago, and too many touches going around to all the backs on the roster. The Vikings also have become so pass-heavy that they will likely have more games where they don’t run the ball 20 times. Getting to that threshold each week could result in more wins, but not translate to points for fantasy teams. Thus, be mindful about starting Cook or Murray each week, as long as the current trend doesn’t go in an upward direction.

For daily fantasy contests this will be a popular game to target and there are a few different ways to approach it.Jaylen Samuels remains a viable option again this week if James Conner sits. While coach Mike Tomlin suggested that the Steelers would use a committee approach, it was Samuels who saw 80 percent of snaps last week against the Oakland Raiders, including seven targets in the passing game. Samuels' versatility could provide value against a Patriots defense that is known for trying to take away the opposing team's primary weapons. With potential shadow coverage on one of Juju Smith-Schuster or Antonio Brown and safety help on the other, Ben Roethlisberger should continue to target Samuels out of the backfield. While Samuels did lose some goal line work to Stevan Ridley, his passing game upside makes him a viable target, particularly on DraftKings.Savvy daily players will also consider game stacks 鈥?or pairing a QB with multiple passing options from his own team http://www.newenglandpatriotsteamonline.com/rob-gronkowski-jersey , as well as at least one player from the opposing team. The Steelers vs Patriots game is ripe for game stacking and both sides of the ball look like strong options in DailyRoto's projections. Roethlisberger can be paired up with Samuels, Smith-Schuster, and/or Antonio Brown for high upside lineups if the game turns into a shootout.The stack of Roethlisberger, Brown and Smith-Schuster projects for upwards of 70 fantasy points in PPR formats and should account for nearly 50 percent of the Steelers targets. If the Steelers passing game goes off, the Patriots will be forced to throw to catch up and lineups that play a high volume of Steelers should consider "bringing it back" the other way with Rob Gronkowski. He is priced similar to a WR2 but showed that he has TE1 upside last week, going for 100+ receiving yards and a touchdown. Don't let Gronkowski's blunder on the Dolphins' desperation play scare you off of his upside in daily fantasy formats.On the Patriots side of the ball, game stacks are also viable, albeit a bit less predictable. While Roethlisberger funnels targets to Brown and Smith-Schuster, Tom Brady has been spreading it around with James White Womens James White Jersey , Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, and Josh Gordon all averaging 15 percent or more targets on the season. Since Rex Burkhead's return to the lineup and Michel's return to health, White has seen his snap share decline to 40 percent, down from a season high of 80 percent. Because of this, DailyRoto's projections prefer to pair Brady with Gronkowski, Edelman or Gordon versus the Steelers.The distribution of the offense will be a challenge for users building just a single DFS lineup, so utilizing the Patriots in game stacks is a recommended approach for users building multiple lineups.

The Titans returned the opening kickoff past midfield and didn’t look back.Here’s our instant analysis from the game.Tom Brady has looked bad the past three weeks.Brady’s stats over the past three games: 72/121 (59.5%) for 872 yards Womens Eric Rowe Jersey , 1 touchdown, 0 interceptions, with 7 sacks for -57 yards. That’s a passer rating of 84.5 and that’s bad.Sure, Brady’s missed having Rob Gronkowski on the field, and, yes, Brady’s missed having a rushing attack, and, sure, the offensive line has been in tatters. But there’s no question that Brady’s been missing passes that he used to routinely complete, he’s not felt comfortable in the pocket, he’s forced passes, and he seems to simply go through the motions at times.32 of Brady’s 41 targets went to Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon, or James White. He was locking into his targets and that’s one of Brady’s biggest tells that he’s struggling.Will vintage Brady return after the bye week? He’ll have to if the Patriots are going to compete in the postseason.Brady and the offense shut out for an entire halfThe Patriots score zero points in the second half, which is extremely rare. While Jacoby Brissett and the Patriots were shut out by the Buffalo Bills in 2016 (L, 16-0), Tom Brady hasn’t been blanked for an entire half since 2014.The Patriots scored zero points in the first half against the Kansas City Chiefs in week 4 of 2014. They were also blanked in the second half of week 1 against the Miami Dolphins in 2014.Can someone remind me what happened at the end of that season?Sony Michel couldn’t save the Patriots rushing game.Michel had 31 rushing yards on 11 carries in his first game back from injury and the Patriots finished the day with 40 rushing yards on 19 carries. That’s bad. Shaq Mason was out, again, and Ted Karras was definitely a weak point on the line. Trent Brown was in and out of the lineup because of his illness and Marcus Cannon missed time as he was nicked up and LaAdrian Waddle was also an obvious decline in ability. But even when the game was close, the Patriots didn’t seem comfortable asking their rushing attack to do anything.Where the heck is Chris Hogan?Chris Hogan’s stats over the past two weeks: 3 targets, 0 receptions. That’s bad.Hogan was supposed to step up with Julian Edelman suspended over the first four weeks of the season and was unable to do so. He produced a little bit when Edelman and Rob Gronkowski and Josh Gordon were available http://www.newenglandpatriotsteamonline.com/phillip-dorsett-jersey , but he’s been a ghost since Gronkowski was injured. Hogan had previously produced as the #3 target in the Patriots offense, but he seems to have fallen completely off the radar for Tom Brady and the offense. At this point, there’s no reason why he should be playing ahead of Phillip Dorsett.Stephon Gilmore was awful against Corey Davis.Davis finished the day with 125 yards and a touchdown on 7 catches. The Athletic’s Jeff Howe pointed out how Gilmore gave up more yards to Davis than he had in the previous four games combined. That’s bad.Davis was honestly the engine of the Titans offense and he came through in the clutch time after time after time. Gilmore was supposed to lock him down, but didn’t, with Davis running coverage beater after coverage beater and getting Gilmore to bite on some double moves.Gilmore will likely get back to his old self, but this was a terrible performance by Gilmore. The Patriots’ special teams units were atrocious.The Titans started in Patriots territory three times in the first half and picked up 17 points. The Patriots can usually rely on their special teams unit, but not this year.New England is still 7-3.When the Patriots started the season 1-2, what would your reaction have been if you were told New England would reach the bye with a 7-3 record? I would have taken that in a heartbeat, with games against the Chiefs, Packers, and Bears on the schedule.The fact that the third loss came against a seemingly weak Titans team does put a damper on the bye week, but the Patriots are still well-positioned for the final stretch of the season.Still, New England is now in third place in the AFC, behind the 9-1 Kansas City Chiefs and 6-2-1 Pittsburgh Steelers. There is now immense pressure for the Patriots to defeat the Steelers in week 15, or else they likely won’t be able to get a first round bye. Tonight, the New England Patriots will face their biggest challenge of the year when the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs come to town. Combining an explosive offensive attack with an opportunistic yet at times inconsistent defense, the Chiefs are sitting at 5-0 heading into their game against the 3-2 Patriots – a contest that will likely have an enormous impact on the AFC’s playoff picture even this early during the season.Naturally, New England needs to bring its A-game as the Chiefs pose problems on both sides of the football. In all, the Chargers won 8 of their last 12 games in 2017, finishing 9-7 to cap off the season. But once again Rivers’ combination of cheerleading on the sidelines and on-field heroics were in vain. The Chargers didn’t make the playoffs. They haven’t since 2013.Nonetheless Rivers played better than you think. In fact, Rivers’ career numbers in these categories match up with some of the best quarterbacks in NFL History.His career passer rating? An absurdly good 94.6, ranked 8th best all-time.  Over the years we have become used to seeing players like Reggie Bush Alex Anzalone Jersey , Pierre Thomas, and more recently Alvin Kamara gain huge chunks of yards on these screens. But sometimes, the best person to catch a screen is the one that is least expected.Josh Hill has caught 3 screens this year for a total of 43 yards. Screens, inherently have a layer of deception to them, but the Saints add wrinkles that add to this level of deception.Hill’s first reception of the year came week 1 against Tampa Bay. The Saints line up in 12 personnel (one running back, two tight ends), with Mike Gillislee in the backfield and Watson and Hill as the tight ends. On his play, the Saints will use play action to freeze the linebackers. Right Guard Larry Warford (#67) will “pull” as if they are running a power run play. To further sell the play action Authentic Josh LeRibeus Jersey , Hill will block the defensive end momentarily before releasing into the flat. Max Unger and Ryan Ramzyck will lead block on the screen and Hill is able to break a tackle and pick up 15 yards.Hill’s second screen came in week 2 against the Cleveland Browns. This time, the Saints will roll out their 11 personnel (one running back, one tight end). Much like the previous play, this one will feature play action as well, but this time Ted Ginn will run a jet sweep motion from right to left behind the line of scrimmage. The purpose of this motion is to make the defense flow to the opposite side of where the play will happen. One defender who is in man coverage will follow GInn, but the linebackers and safety for Cleveland do a good job at staying disciplined. The offensive line is the same as above, with Warford pulling and Unger and Ramzyck lead blocking for Hill, who is only able to gain 5 yards on this play. The third tight end screen for Hill has the most window dressing and is possibly my favorite play design so far of this season. The Saints have their three most dangerous offensive weapons on the field—Mark Ingram in the backfield Youth Austin Carr Jersey , Kamara will lineup as a receiver to the outside of a bunch formation to the right, and Michael Thomas split out to the left. This play is not much different than the one called against Cleveland, but having Kamara run the jet motion rather than Ginn presents an even bigger threat to the defense, so naturally they are more likely to flow in his direction. This flow is only aided by having Ingram in the backfield rather than Gillislee. Another subtle detail is that Thomas is split out wider here than in the previous play. This will stretch the defense further out and take players even further away from the playside. By the time Hill peels off of his block and makes the reception, he has nearly 15 yards of open space and ultimately picks up 23 yards. Another thing to note on this play is the nice block from rookie Tre’Quan Smith on the safety. Smith has been a reliable blocker in the run game so far this year and will only help him to stay on the field.Screens are a good way to make over-aggressive defenses pay for that aggressiveness. They are also a good way at slowing down the pass rush from the opposing defense, and with the Saints facing one of the best defensive line in the NFL this weekend, we may see a few more of these tight end screens dialed up.Expectations are High Amongst the Tampa Bay Fanbase We’ll continue a series of opponent preview posts for the New Orleans Saints opponents in 2018.
