Three Drink Minimum Podcast: Got some feedback about last weeks episode. That’s my bad http://www.authenticlosangeleschargers.com/cheap-trevor-williams-jersey , I didn’t know the background was that bad. Also, you guys want more structure, so I attempt to tackle that. Start out by tackling the coaching mistakes. One mistake by Anthony Lynn was him deciding to kick a field goal with just under 12 minutes left in the fourth quarter. One mistake from Ken Whisenhunt was him not involving Austin Ekeler more. That doesn’t mean you have to take touches away from Melvin Gordon. When a player is averaging 10 yards a touch, you probably want to give him more than seven touches. When you aren’t getting production from your perimeter threats, you probably want to work the middle of the field. Thought this might be a week we see Gordon and Ekeler involved in the passing game and that just didn’t happen. One mistake from Gus Bradley was not designing new blitz looks. Now that I’ve had a chance to re-watch the game him thinking he could get away with playing Jahleel Addae and Adrian Phillips as linebackers was a big mistake as well. Just because the Rams were in spread looks didn’t mean that they are solely going to pass the ball.I go in depth on those issues. Also showed some love to Mike Williams, who has impressed. Finally, tell you why it’s not time to panic. Not yet, anyways.Enjoy!NFL Draft 2018: Start Time Youth Mike Pouncey Jersey , TV Schedule, Live Stream, Picks for Rounds 2 and 3 The first round of the 2018 NFL Draft is in the books and it was glorious.  Open Thread The Los Angeles Chargers tonight play host to the New Orleans Saints. We should expect extended looks from the Chargers projected starters including second-year offensive lineman Forrest Lamp who will see his first action of the preseason. Philip Rivers has looked very sharp thus far and one would hope he will continue his impressive play Youth Michael Schofield Jersey , but most importantly we will hope he stays completely healthy.Mike Williams has shown us all why the Chargers spent a high draft pick on him last year and it will be exciting to watch him again as he tries to carry that momentum through this week and onto the regular season. The competition at running back behind Melvin Gordon has been worth watching and should continue to be tonight. On defense, we get to see rookie Justin Jones take the field and without Darius Philon suited up he should get a lot of playing time to shake off the rust and prove that he belongs.Overall, the defense is in for a serious test against the Saints offense and they’ll be without their top corners, so it could be a struggle.Caleb Sturgis has won the kicking competition Color Rush Mike Williams Jersey , Chargers release Roberto Aguayo The Los Angeles Chargers have had an ongoing battle for the Kicker position all offseason after adding Caleb Sturgis on a two year deal and Roberto Aguayo on a one year contract. It would appear that decision has now been made.Roberto Aguayo, a former second round selection of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2016 NFL Draft, performed quite well with the Chargers over the course of the competition. Through four preseason games, he went a perfect three for three in field goals (Sturgis went two for three Color Rush Melvin Ingram Jersey , for reference) and also did not miss an extra point. In the practice session I attended, he closed the day out going eight for nine, with the only miss being a 53 yard attempt that he hit on his second try. This was the fourth team Aguayo has had a chance with, though it may not be his last. When you consider how he was with the Buccaneers http://www.authenticlosangeleschargers.com/cheap-joe-barksdale-jersey , it would appear he has come a long way in fixing whatever issues he was having. He clearly has the talent to be a successful NFL kicker, he has shown as much and it’s not exactly every year that a kicker gets selected in the second round. Caleb Sturgis, the kicker the Chargers have decided to enter the season with, was signed to a two year contract worth 4.45 million dollars. This quote from Anthony Lynn after the week four contest against the San Francisco 49ers shows that the team anticipated this to be the eventual outcome of the battle...I think I speak for everyone when I say that I hope this kicking decision goes better than the last one this team made entering the 2017 season.

If you could add a former great to the current roster http://www.sandiegochargersteamonline.com/trevor-williams-jersey , who would it be?  if you could add a former great from your favorite team to the current roster, who would it be? I like to poke the bear so I jokingly said Drew Brees. You can go a number of different ways, though. With the recent injury news to Hunter Henry Womens Austin Ekeler Jersey , I might slide prime Antonio Gates in there.I don’t care how much you love him or think he needs more chances, I’m replacing Melvin Gordon with that running back who wore #21 before you can finish saying LaDainian Tomlinson. Holy hell can you imagine LT in today’s passing NFL? He somehow would be better.I know many will bring up Jamal Williams. If I’m taking an interior defensive lineman from those teams I’m taking Luis Castillo. Castillo getting all those 1-on-1’s with Bosa and Ingram off the edge? Yes please. Speaking of pass rushers, Shawne Merriman for those couple years anyone? You can put yo or I on the field as the 4th rusher and we might be able to get some sacks. Junior. Rodney Harrison. Lance Alworth. Winslow. The list goes on and on and on.Who are you taking?Madden NFL 19 Still Thinks the Chargers Are in San Diego. The San Diego Chargers spent a decade flirting with the idea of relocating to Los Angeles and then in January of 2017 they officially announced their relocation from America’s Finest City to Carson Womens Darius Philon Jersey , California. Apparently, the makers of Madden NFL 19 at EA Sports did not get the memo, however as some of the commentary still declares them the San Diego Chargers. Plenty of people still make the slip and say San Diego when discussing the team. Our own John Gennaro even put it in his most recent post for us Authentic Casey Hayward Jersey , but it is a little surprising that this made it through into a game during the Chargers’ second season since the move.EA Sports has responded to the outcry this inevitably created by stating that they will fix it on the update that is coming out in roughly two weeks. So, at least, those who purchased and are playing the game will not have to put up with the mistake for the entire year.

The Raiders have already traded away their best player and there are reports that other key pieces could be dealt soon.Very little has gone right in the first season of coach Jon Gruden's second stint in Oakland. But as the Raiders left town for a bye week http://www.authenticlosangeleschargers.com/cheap-trevor-williams-jersey , Gruden had a message to his legion of critics calling 2018 a lost season in Oakland."I'll say this, we aren't tanking anything," Gruden said Tuesday. "I hear the hatred out there, some of the rumors that we are tanking it to get a first-round pick or a higher pick. We are not getting up at 4 o'clock in the morning to tank it. Ain't nobody tanking it. I don't know who wrote that or who said that or who thinks that, but that isn't the case here. We are going to continue to work hard, continue to build our team and that was part of the message."A week off might be just what the Raiders need to change the course of a difficult season that has left the team battered physically and frustrated by the mounting losses.Oakland blew second-half leads the first three weeks to start 0-3 and then responded from a comeback, overtime win over Cleveland by getting outscored 53-13 the past two weeks in losses to the Chargers in Los Angeles and the Seattle Seahawks in London. The Raiders released linebacker Derrick Johnson on Tuesday and promoted Jason Cabinda from the practice squad to take his place but other moves could be coming with receiver Amari Cooper and safety Karl Joseph among the players reportedly available in trades.Gruden already dealt away one of general manager Reggie McKenzie's former first-round picks when he traded star edge rusher Khalil Mack to Chicago for a package of draft picks a week before the season. With the status of Cooper and Joseph in question and 2017 first-rounder Gareon Conley getting no defensive snaps last week, Gruden is dismantling the team McKenzie built.More moves could be coming over the bye week."We're still looking at the roster. We're looking around the league to find means to get better," Gruden said. "Reggie and I had a long meeting yesterday. I know that's a shock to some people. They don't think we have any meetings. I'm telling you Youth Mike Pouncey Jersey , we're working hard to solidify this roster every day and improve ourselves and get the right people on the field. Those are decisions that we're looking at. We're going to continue to try to develop our young players. We're going to stay on the gas pedal and go as hard as we can."The frustration is mounting in the locker room with cornerback Rashaan Melvin expressing frustration this week over his lack of playing time and saying he will go back to his old technique of playing rather than play the style defensive coordinator Paul Guenther wants."I haven't talked to him yet, no. I'm sure I will," Gruden said. "I know Paul Guenther did. I heard there was a Twitter report out there. Melvin is on his seventh team, I think. He's had different techniques. Maybe he's confused, I don't know. I'll talk to him. But he has to play better. He's in a competitive situation. Perhaps he's frustrated, and I can't blame him."The main priority over the bye will be getting healthy. Many of the struggles the past two weeks can be attributed to starting left guard Kelechi Osemele being out with a knee injury, right tackle Donald Penn on injured reserve with a groin injury and rookie left tackle Kolton Miller slowed by a knee injury that has contributed to him allowing six sacks in two weeks, according to Pro Football Focus.Gruden hopes to get Osemele back for the game Oct. 28 against Indianapolis and Miller should be healthier, which will be good news for quarterback Derek Carr. Carr was sacked six times against Seattle and had little time to get the ball downfield. He threw just one pass more than 10 yards downfield and had 140 of his 142 yards passing come after the catch."It was obvious that it affected the ability to drop back and look around and throw the ball Youth Denzel Perryman Jersey ," Gruden said. "''We got to block better than that. We got to play better than that. That certainly had an impact. No doubt."NOTES: RB Marshawn Lynch has a groin strain. Gruden said he would have an update on the severity next week. ... DL Frostee Rucker (neck) could be back next game. ... Cooper and WR Seth Roberts remain in concussion protocol. ... Joseph (hamstring) also could return against the Colts.Chargers Training Camp Notes: Young Playmakers Highlight an Up and Down Day 1 With Forrest Lamp still coming back from his ACL-injury, reserve guard Michael Schofield looks to be the starter at right guard if Lamp is not back in time for the regular season. If Gates is not resigned, the team will look to the younger tight ends to make up for the lost production from Hunter Henry’s injury earlier this year. Former UDFA Sean Culkin looks to be a front-runner in that regard. The added size is always a plus as he is already one of the better run-blockers at the position. With White transitioning to a true linebacker position, it will be interesting to see how much of his athleticism survives the increase in mass he must put on prior to the season.A 1v1 rep with an elite cornerback versus an elite wide receiver will always get the people going. Hayward is already in mid-season form. Two of the more interesting UDFAs this year are cornerback Brandon Facyson and Tony Brown. Both had their growing pains on day 1.The buzz surrounding the Mike Williams Hype-Train remains the same after a day that consisted of several nice wins in 1v1s with a couple bad drops to balance out his overall performance. One of the underrated camp battles will be which reserve tackle gets to be trusted on the blindside were Russell Okung to find himself sidelined. Last year’s sixth-round selection Sam Tevi looks to be getting the early reps at left tackle behind the veteran.Although many of us have been gassing up this year’s seventh-round selection out of Northwestern, he will be starting camp as the 4th-strong back behind Russel Hansborough.Regardless of depth chart position, Jackson still found his way to make an impression on the staff and the fans in attendance.Nwosu looks to be a welcomed addition to a linebacker group lacking a lot of prototypical size. The rookie EDGE rusher out of USC wasted no time getting into his zone against the reserves on offense. One of the staff’s favorite UDFAs to make the team, Richardson is looking every bit of the stout interior linemen we all fell in love with following this yea’s NFL draft.

He’s a little on the small size Los Angeles Chargers Hats , but he’s an athlete.DE Harold Landry: He lacks ideal size, but Landry has excellent burst and is likely to be a productive pro.CB Jaire Alexander: There is some concern about his ability to stay healthy, but Alexander is quick and instinctive.WR Courtland Sutton: He’s a possession receiver. He’s big, he’s tough, and he lacks quickness.LB Leighton Vander Esch: An athletic, 3-down linebacker, Vander Esch could definitely be a mid-1st round pick.WR D.J. Moore: Probably a slot receiver in the NFL, he has the quickness for it and could also add value as a returner.CB Mike Hughes: The UCF product is a short but physical corner. He lacks experience which gives a somewhat steeper learning curve as he enters the NFL.CB Isaiah Oliver: He has an elite combination of size and speed but has some technical deficiencies and is a less than stellar tackler.QB Mason Rudolph: Some think Oklahoma State’s Rudolph is a Day 2 prospect, but others disagree and his numbers were certainly impressive.RB Sony Michel: A north-south runner who can run through arm tackles, Michel is a potential first-round talent.OT Kolton Miller: The UCLA product has good size and length, but there are questions about his athleticism.C Billy Price: Ohio State’s Price has good strength Los Angeles Chargers Womens Hoodie , but lacks length which is not a huge concern at center. He plays with an edge, but that also occasionally gets him in trouble.DE Arden Key: There are plenty of red flags here, but he has the potential to be a quality pass rusher in the NFL.WR James Washington: He has a limited route tree and was not challenged much by Big 12 defenses, but he gets open deep and makes big plays.WR Christian Kirk: Lacks desirable speed, but he is quick and works well underneath. Probably limited to playing in the slot.DE Sam Hubbard: He has the size and motor to play at DE, but he lacks the athleticism that would allow him to excel as a pass rusher.S Ronnie Harrison: Alabama’s Harrison has the size and athleticism you want from a safety, but he plays a bit out of control and has technical deficiencies.Chargers Offensive Line Ranks 23rd in the NFL by Pro Football Focus Earlier today, Pro Football Focus’ Mike Renner dropped his latest NFL offensive line rankings of the league’s best units heading into the 2018 season. These rankings are updated from a previous post that ranked the units immediately following the end of last season. It’s not that I was expecting the Chargers’ unit to be a top-10 group or anything like that, but I definitely didn’t expect them to be in the bottom third of the entire league. The Bolts were actually a top team in terms of the least amount of sacks given up while Rivers owned the lowest percentage of being sacked when under pressure. However, it’s not the most surprising thing to see them lower than expected by the fans. We are already gassing up a line that will bring back Forrest Lamp and the addition of Mike Pouncey to replace Spencer Pulley and Kenny Wiggins. Both Pulley and Wiggins rated at the very bottom of their respective positions in pressures allowed. You obviously have nowhere but up to go from there. If you don’t feel like checking out the entire article, here’s what Mr. Renner had to say about the Bolts:Overall Grades From Last Season for Projected StartersLeft Tackle: Russell Okung Womens Customized Los Angeles Chargers Jerseys , 77.4 overall gradeLeft Guard: Dan Feeney, 48.5Center: Mike Pouncey, 46.5Right Guard: Forrest Lamp, 91.7* (2016 college grade)Right Tackle: Joe Barksdale, 50.7“There is a lot of projection here with Dan Feeney and Forrest Lamp in Year 2 as well as Mike Pouncey, but it’s impossible to think things could get worse. Kenny Wiggins allowed the most pressures of any guard in the league last year (41) while Spencer Pulley allowed the most of any center (38). Simply getting those two out of the lineup has to be worth something.”Once training camp gets underway, I expect the line to gel fairly quickly. Bringing in a veteran at center will make that connection with Philip Rivers click faster and I’d expect Lamp to get up to speed fast than your average first-year starter. My hopes are about as high as anyone’s with this unit and I think everyone else shouldn’t worry about getting their hopes up, either. Now excuse me, I’m going splinter my office desk with how hard I’m about to knock on it.

2018 Patriots roster cuts:  The second wave of roster cuts has started. After the New England Patriots parted ways with seven of their players yesterday to bring the roster to 82 Youth Deatrich Wise Jr. Jersey , the team has made its first transaction of the day. According to NESN’s Doug Kyed, the Patriots will let running back Ralph Webb go:Following a productive career at Vanderbilt, the Patriots signed Webb as an undrafted rookie shortly after the draft. Entering a deep defensive backfield, he was seen as a longshot to make the team but a potential practice squad candidate. Training camp and preseason further strengthend this belief. In the Patriots’ four exhibition games, Webb registered 31 rushing attempts for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns, as well as five receptions for 28 yards and another score. While his performance was not enough to make the team, Webb set himself up well for a practice squad deal — either in New England or somewhere else. While the New England Patriots’ offense turned the corner after a rocky start, the team’s defense still remains inconsistent. Luckily for the unit it will face a very favorable matchup tonight: the Buffalo Bills http://www.thepatriotsfootballauthentic.com/david-andrews-jersey-authentic , owners of the NFL’s worst scoring offense. With the Bills averaging just 11.6 points per game this year, the Patriots defense should – should – be able to build some momentum today. In order to do that, here are three key things it needs to accomplish:Use the blitz against Derek AndersonFirst things first: the Patriots defense has not been very good in 2018 when it comes to blitzing opposing quarterbacks. In fact, the team has the worst sack percentage in the NFL when bringing extra pressure (2.8%). So why should New England use this tactic against Buffalo tonight? Because the Bills have been equally bad if not worse in terms of blitz pickup and Derek Anderson is not the best of decision makers the quarterback position has to offer.Sending extra rushers against a shaky offensive line – one that allowed a league-worst 10 sacks versus the blitz – and an inconsistent quarterback could help mask some of New England’s weaknesses when it comes to creating pressure. And even if it does not create negative plays at an increase rate, it should help impact Buffalo’s defensive rhythm and challenge the protection setting and extra blockers kept in the pocket.Take away the run with the big bodies up frontOne thing the Bills do comparatively well is run the football: led by LeSean McCoy, who is expected to play despite suffering a concussion during last week’s game, and Chris Ivory, the team has created a fairly balanced offensive attack. For New England to have success against it Youth Jonathan Jones Jersey , taking away the ground game should be a key goal – and to do that, the right personnel has to be on the field.Ideally, the Patriots try to get their best run defenders on the field in a base alignment that could use a 5-2 front: Trey Flowers and Lawrence Guy, arguably the team’s best run defenders, should be part of it as should be Malcom Brown and Danny Shelton with Dont’a Hightower and Kyle Van Noy rotating on the fifth end spot. Elandon Roberts should see plenty of time as an off-the-ball linebacker.A group like this would allow the Patriots to establish a presence along the interior with the big-bodied defensive tackles, and also ensure outside contain with the experienced and technically sound edge defenders. As the desired result, the Bills would be forced to give Anderson more responsibilities.Stay disciplined New England usually wins in part due to being the smarter team, one not shooting itself in the foot through easily avoidable mistakes or stupid penalties. So far this season Womens Trent Brown Jersey , however, this has not always been the case. Just take last week’s game against Chicago when the Patriots gave up big plays to a scrambling quarterback because they were undisciplined in keeping contain, and also committed multiple defensive penalties.Tonight, limiting those errors would go a long way to securing the Patriots’ sixth victory of the season. If the team can stay disciplined when it comes to gap integrity, edge setting, and deep-field coverage it should be able to limit an offense that has so far been reliant on occasional breaks to get going.

Press that free agent Terrelle Pryor visited with the receiver- and quarterback-needy Buffalo Bills. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the team has not disclosed the visit http://www.thepatriotsfootballauthentic.com/david-andrews-jersey-authentic , which took place before the Bills hosted the New England Patriots on Monday night. ESPN first reported Pryor's visit to Buffalo.Pryor has seven seasons of NFL experience, and played six games this year with the New York Jets before being sidelined by a groin injury. He was released on Oct. 20 after reaching an injury settlement with the team.Pryor has been used as mostly as a receiver at the NFL level, and had 14 catches for 235 yards and two touchdowns with the Jets. He also has experience at quarterback, which is the position he played during a three-year career at Ohio State. The Bills have needs at both positions. They lack experienced depth at receiver behind starter Kelvin Benjamin. As for quarterback, newly signed 13-year veteran Derek Anderson is starting in place of rookie Josh Allen, who is listed week to week with a sprained right elbow. After every New England Patriots win Youth Jonathan Jones Jersey , head coach Bill Belichick joins radio color commentator and ex-Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak for a film breakdown of the action. This week, the duo took a look at three pivotal plays from the team’s 38-31 victory over the Chicago Bears – New England’s first road win of the season.(11:00) S.Gostkowski kicks 66 yards from NE 35 to CHI -1. B.Cunningham to CHI 17 for 18 yards (N.Grigsby)Belichick and Zolak start by taking a look at kickoff coverage, using a first quarter play to highlight the unit’s execution. “We get a really good kick from Stephen Gostkowski, that’s always a key thing,” the head coach says. “Good hang time, good distance Womens Trent Brown Jersey , gives the guys a chance to cover.” Belichick then highlights how his team does a good job of setting the defensive right-side edge and having two players – Nicholas Grigsby and Matthew Slater – beat their blocks to close the lane for the ball carrier.(8:40) S.Gostkowski kicks 68 yards from NE 35 to CHI -3. B.Cunningham to CHI 16 for 19 yards (B.King; N.Ebner).The next play to be analyzed is a kickoff in the fourth quarter. After praising Gostkowski for another well-placed kick, Belichick points out how Brandon King is able to set the left-side edge while the backside players also close in quickly. “We got that hole return condensed into [a] small area,” he says. “When the play starts it looks like they have a lot of field to work with but if we can get a good kick, good coverage and get our outside guys to set the formation tightly then there isn’t really a lot of room to run.”(11:05) C.Parkey kicks 60 yards from CHI 35 to NE 5. C.Patterson for 95 yards, TOUCHDOWN.“This is a big play to answer the score that the Bears just had,” Belichick says about Cordarrelle Patterson’s 95-yard kickoff return touchdown in the second quarter. The coach points out that Chicago Youth Devin McCourty Jersey , while initially having good coverage, overplays the runback which in turn allows his team to take advantage. Belichick also points out the role that two blocks by Brandon King and rookie J.C. Jackson played: “The key to this return is getting the backside cut off [to] create a little bit of an alley so C.P. can hit it.”4-8-CHI 45 (6:05) P.O’Donnell punt is BLOCKED by D.Hightower, Center-P.Scales, RECOVERED by NE-K.Van Noy at CHI 29. K.Van Noy for 29 yards, TOUCHDOWN.Belichick starts his breakdown of the Patriots’ blocked punt in the fourth quarter by highlighting the personnel and how the bigger defender are on the field to prevent Chicago from trying a potential fake. With Chicago initially blocking well, one of the rushers had to make a play – and Dont’a Hightower did. “Hightower is able to get in there with a good two-arm extension [...] good blocking technique Youth James White Jersey , puts his hands right on the ball,” Belichick points out. “Great individual play here by High.”To watch video of the breakdown, please visit patriots.com.

has previously been a winning formula for the Dolphins. The last time Miami won at New England was in 2008 White Trey Flowers Jersey , when Tom Brady was sidelined for the season and the Dolphins sprung the wildcat on Patriots coach Bill Belichick in a 38-13 rout.Trickery is also a big reason why the Dolphins will arrive at Gillette Stadium on Sunday with a 3-0 record and sitting atop the AFC East . They haven't been 4-0 since 1995 — Don Shula's last season as coach. But getting there again will be tough. Since the Dolphins' 2008 win, the Patriots have won nine straight at home in the series. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is 14-1 at home as a starter against Miami. His lone loss was in the final game of the 2005 season, when he was pulled after the first quarter.Miami will also be facing a New England team that has lost two in a row and is coming off a humbling 26-10 loss at Detroit that underscored the Patriots' weaknesses on both sides of the ball. The Patriots haven't started 1-3 since 2001."Any time you play them at their place, it's a challenge," Dolphins coach Adam Gase said. "That's why they're one of the best teams. If you look at the last 15 years, it's ridiculous how well they do at home compared to everybody else. The crowd is extremely loud, and it's a tough environment to play in."After missing last season because of a torn ACL in his left knee, Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill has started this season strong. He has completed 73 percent of his passes, while throwing seven touchdowns and just two interceptions. He has won 10 of his past 11 starts overall, but he's 0-5 in games at Foxborough, with five touchdown passes and nine interceptions in those games."We've had our opportunities up there White Phillip Dorsett Jersey ," Tannehill said. "We've put halves of football together, but haven't played a full game. That's going to be a big emphasis for us this week — to go up and play a full four quarters."Despite some issues over the past two weeks, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski said there is no sense of panic inside their locker room. New England started 2-2 last season, before recovering to win the AFC championship."You've just got to keep going forward, no matter what it is, if you're winning or if you're losing," Gronkowski said. "You've got to just put that week behind you. ... Just got to keep on grinding."Here are some things to watch for in Sunday's game:BRADY VS. FINS: Miami is the only NFL team with at least 10 victories against Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. The reigning regular-season MVP is 21-10 against the Dolphins. The 10 losses are his most against any franchise. Brady is 76-19 as a starter in regular-season games against AFC East opponents.Records aside, Miami safety Reshad Jones said he is expecting to get Brady's best."He's probably one of the best to ever do it," Jones said. "We've got our hands full. It's going to be a challenge for us. ... I think we'll be ready."CLOSE CALLS: All three of Miami's victories this season have been by eight or fewer points. The Dolphins are 16-5 in one-score games under Gase. They are 3-12 in games decided by more than one score.PATRIOTS PAST: Receiver Danny Amendola isn't the only Dolphins newcomer with a history in New England. Running back Brandon Bolden was with the Patriots for six years until they released him just before the start of this season.Bolden has quickly become a cog on Miami's special teams, and he and Amendola share important traits, Gase said."They love football. They love practicing. They bring great energy on game day. Whatever they have http://www.authenticsnewenglandpatriots.com/cheap-kyle-van-noy-jersey , they give it," Gase said. "Those two are as professional as I've ever seen on NFL football players. Every day I see them, I'm glad they're here."INJURY CONCERNS: New England has struggled with consistency this season and enters this game with several key contributors on the mend.Starting defensive end Trey Flowers and safety Patrick Chung both sat out the Detroit loss with concussions and practiced on a limited basis this week. The Patriots also placed running back Rex Burkhead (neck) and rookie linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley on injured reserve Wednesday. Those are big blows to a defense giving up 406 yards per game and an offense yet to score a rushing touchdown this season.Steve Wine in Davie, Florida, contributed to this report.Follow Kyle Hightower on Twitter at ://khightower The New England Patriots did not pull the trigger at the NFL trade deadline yesterday, which means that they will head into the second half of the season with the same core of players they already used from weeks one through seven. That being said, NFL rosters are obviously flexible constructs with injuries in particular impacting how a team builds and maintains its 53-man team and 10-man practice squad over the course of a season.New players are added to those teams on a regular basis, and with the season already in full swing need to be brought up to speed as quickly as possible. “The position coach will take the lead on that,” explained Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels during a conference call on Tuesday when asked about the challenges of signing new players during the season. “Our job is to begin that new process with that new player.”McDaniels’ unit saw plenty of additions this year. Not only did the team draft five offensive guys – of which only one, running back Sony Michel, is still on the active roster – White Danny Shelton Jersey , it also added numerous outside free agents between March and now. The latest of which is former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon, who joined the team via trade in mid-September and has since grown into one of the Patriots’ top-two wide receivers. His development from comparatively low-cost acquisition to starting receiver on one of the NFL’s best offenses would not have been possible without the coaching staff’s support. “It’s not to get him to know everything that Julian [Edelman] or Tom [Brady] knows by the end of this week,” acknowledged McDaniels yesterday when talking about the team’s process. “If there’s a player that comes in new, we try to put one foot in front of the next and try to make progress each day and each meeting that we have with the player.”“If that player is eventually going to play for us this week or down the road, then whatever that player can do to help us, those are the things we’re going to ask of them,” McDaniels continued. “It doesn’t really make much sense to ask more than that because if we’re going to put him in a position to do something he doesn’t know how to do yet or isn’t comfortable doing, then we’re just putting the team at risk.”In the case of Gordon and the aforementioned Michel, the circumstances of them joining the team were different but the approach and the positive results so far were the same. And according to McDaniels, the lower-level position coaches have to receive much of the credit for this. “[They] do a tremendous job of splitting their time when those things happen,” the 42-year old said about his colleagues.“Some of our younger quality control guys certainly do a great job of trying to help us caught up there — Jerry [Schuplinski] and Cole [Popovich] and Atif [Austin] and Nick Caley when he was doing that White Stephon Gilmore Jersey ,” noted New England’s offensive coordinator. “Those guys have all spent extra time with [newly added players] to try to get them caught up in terms of our system and the terminology and all that.”While this process does not always yield the desired results, the Patriots’ staff — arguably more so than any other in the NFL — regularly succeeds in putting its in-season signings in a position to quickly contribute. And according to McDaniels, the coaches themselves also benefit from being part of this process. “It kind of takes you back to when you start your foundational teaching with rookies and new players,” he said. “Our staff does a great job when it occurs, and if it happens again at any point in time, we’ll look forward to doing that with the next guy.”

Football Youth Everson Griffen Jersey , and it appears that the next time we see the Minnesota Vikings, it will be after we’ve waited all day for Sunday Night.Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune points out that the NFL’s official scheduling page shows that the Vikings’ Week 11 contest at Soldier Field against the Chicago Bears has been moved to Sunday Night Football. The game that had previously been in that slot was the contest between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it appears that NBC and the NFL have made the decision to swap games for that day.If this is the case, that could mean two consecutive Sunday Night Football contests for the Vikings, as their Week 12 matchup with the Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium is also scheduled to be on Sunday Night Football. There don’t appear to be a lot of attractive candidates to replace that game, so it looks like two straight prime-time contests for the Vikings. What do you think about the decision to move Vikings/Bears to Sunday Night Football http://www.thevikingsfootballauthentic.com/xavier-rhodes-jersey-authentic , folks?UPDATE: The NFL has made it official as well through a press release.Bills/Vikings odds: Big point spread good news for Minnesota, not so good for gamblers We don’t generally talk about gambling odds or anything like that as a part of our lead-up to Minnesota Vikings games, but given the circumstances behind this one I thought it was something that merited a look.In their game against the Buffalo Bills this week, the Vikings are ridiculously huge favorites. They opened as a 16.5-point favorite over the Bills, and that number has climbed to 17 since then. According to CBS Sports, this is the third time in the last 30 years that the Vikings have been favored over an opponent by at least 16 points. In November of 2009 Youth Harrison Smith Jersey , they were favored by 17 points over the Detroit Lions, and they won that game by. . .17 points, 27-10, making it a push for gamblers everywhere. Back in 1998, they were a 16-point favorite over the Chicago Bears, and won that one by a final score of 48-22 Youth Anthony Barr Jersey , giving them an easy cover. As most of you out there aren’t gambling types. . .at least, I don’t think you are, anyway. . .I’ll give you the most important number about this sort of thing from the CBS Sports article.Since the start of the 2008 season, there have been 20 games where a team was favored to win by at least 16 points. In those 20 games, the favored teams have a record of 20-0. Sure, they’re just 8-11-1 against the spread in those games Youth Kirk Cousins Jersey , but at last check the NFL doesn’t figure records against the spread into potential divisional and playoff tiebreakers, so who cares? So, if you’re planning on putting a wager down on the Vikings for Sunday’s contest, be wary of such a huge point spread. However, if history is any indication. . .and this is where I start knocking on every wooden object in my house. . .it seems pretty likely that by about 3:00 PM Central on Sunday afternoon we’ll be celebrating the Vikings moving their record to 2-0-1 on the young 2018 season.

by now http://www.minnesotavikingsteamonline.com/everson-griffen-jersey , Minnesota Vikings’ defensive end Everson Griffen returned to practice with the purple on Wednesday. Griffen has been away from the team since an incident in the week leading up to the Vikings’ contest against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3, and has missed five games while he was sorting himself out.Following Wednesday’s practice session, Griffen fielded questions from the Twin Cities media. Courtesy of the award-winning Minnesota Vikings’ PR department, we have the full transcript of his question and answer session below. Enjoy, everyone!First off I want to take full responsibility for my actions that went on in September. I’ve had a lot of support from my family, the Minnesota Vikings, the doctors, my teammates, and the fans. I want to give my apologies to the people I impacted, I’m sorry if I affected them in any type of way. Just excited to get back here with my team and get back to the grind of things. It’s been hard to be away, but I’m happy to be back and it’s a good feeling right now. I’m taking it one day at a time, one thing at a time to get things back on track.Q: What did you learn over the last five weeks? What’s different about you?A: I learned a lot about the man outside of football. I had a lot of time to reflect on my life and where I want to go and the decisions I made, and I just want to get better with some of my decisions that I made and improve on them.Q: What was it like coming back into the facility this morning?A: It felt great, it felt great to see my guys. I love each and every one of my teammates, and it was just good to see the smiles on their faces, and they welcomed me with open arms. They want me to be the wild man, and I want to be that wild man, but I’m just taking it one day at a time and just processing everything and getting everything back on track.Q: What kind of things did you do the last four weeks to now feel ready to rejoin the team?A: I’m not comfortable answering that question right now, but in the future I’ll be able to.Q: You’ve said that this is an ongoing work in progress Womens Rashod Hill Jersey , that coming back doesn’t mean everything is done and over with?A: This is bigger than football, this is part of the process. We got a team, we got a good group of individuals, the Minnesota Vikings, the doctors, myself, my family, and we got a plan in place and we’re going to execute that plan day-in and day-out, and we’re going to stay on top of it. That’s our goal. This is bigger than football, and it’s part of the plan. I’m excited to be back.Q: You’ve talked about someday telling your story. Do you know when that will be?A: We have a plan in place, but we’re going to take it one day at a time. We’re not going to place an expectation on the outcome, we’re just going to keep it day-by-day and do the right things and stay on top of improving each and every day.Q: Was there anything in particular you feel led to your troubles in September?A: I’m not ready to get into that right now, but eventually I will be able to. Everything is going as planned, and like I said, we’re taking it one day at a time, one thing at a time. I’m just excited to be back. It was good to have some time to myself and figure out some of my things that I need to handle. I had a lot of support, a lot of fan support, and even a lot of support from you guys, the media. It feels good to see the love and the fan base that was there.Q: You said your teammates want to see you be the wild man on the field. Can you still do that after getting a handle in your personal life?A: Of course http://www.minnesotavikingsteamonline.com/harrison-smith-jersey , but that’s in due time. Like I said I’m trying to keep it simple in my life and keep it simple and go day-by-day and just do the right things day-in and day-out – on and off the field. Q: Do you feel physically ready to play?A: Yeah, I feel good. I feel good. I was working out. I was able to work out and do the things I have to do, but playing this game of football it requires more than just working out. You got to push somebody, hit somebody, get your timing back. It’s more to go on the football just in running and training by myself. I’m able to play football, but I still have to got to get back in the pass rush flow and my run flow and stuff like that.Q: When you stepped away from the team, did you know that was the right thing for you?A: It was the right thing for me, completely.Q: Did you know that right away?A: 100 percent.Q: Are you playing on Sunday?A: Coach Zimmer can answer that question for you.Q: Did you consider taking this year off?A: Our doctors, our coaching staff, the Vikings, my family we just had a plan and I executed the plan and we took it day-by-day, step-by-step and it led up to this point. We made the decision that I was ready to come back and now I’m back.Q: Does football feel like a comfort zone for you?A: Absolutely. I live for this each and every day, but I also live for my family too. You got to have that balance in life and that’s what I’m working towards, having that balance each and every day.Q: Do you have a message for anyone that might be going through anything similar to what you are?A: If you are you need to ask for help. You need to go out there and find a good support team and do the right things to be able to be able to take care of yourself. That’s what it’s all about, taking care of yourself and taking care of your actions and doing the right things.Q: Do you feel like you have a platform to affect millions of people, whenever you are able to share your story?A: 100 percent. That’s the plan, 100 percent. I just want to be able to do it at the right time, the right place, and the right opportunity. It’s just right now is not the place http://www.minnesotavikingsteamonline.com/sheldon-richardson-jersey , not the time, and I just got to focus on the right things and the right things are my family, finding that balance and getting back to work, and just executing my plan that we have in place.Q: Was it ever difficult to stay patient when you were waiting and watching the games?A: I was patient in my first four years in playing in the NFL sitting behind Jared Allen, Brian Robison, Kevin Williams, Pat Williams. Patience came early to me at a young age. It was hard watching my guys play, but I learned patience and being humble and waiting your time. I feel like everything happens for a reason and I needed this. I needed this to figure out myself and it was a good thing.Q: Are you proud of the way they played?A: Yeah, they’re playing awesome right now. We’re playing like a team, a blue collar team, a tough team, a team that is smart, a team that is physical, and a team that Coach Zimmer sees that we can be day-in-and-day-out. It was tough for the first few games, but it got easier for me. They did an excellent job.Q: What was it like taking your chair back in the defensive line room?A: It was awesome, man. Just getting back into life in general – driving my car, doing all the little things. You got to appreciate the little things in life and I appreciate the little things in life. I’m not taking any day, every day is a blessing. You got to be grateful and I’m just excited to back here. Once again, I apologize if I affected anybody Authentic Ben Gedeon Jersey , impacted anybody. I take full responsibility for my actions and I’m excited to be back and get the ball rolling.Q: Was the NFL and players association supportive of you throughout the process?A: Yeah, everybody. We had a good support cast. My family was a big support cast, the Minnesota Vikings family was a big support cast, the doctors. We did a good job putting a plan in place and we executed the plan. It was, like I said, it was a time and place where I needed this in my life and I’m happy that it was a right time and it was perfect timing for me.Q: How difficult is it to ask for help?A: Yeah, you got to put your pride aside. Sometimes you just got to put your pride aside and know when enough is enough. Sometimes you got to take it upon yourself and know when enough is enough and when you can’t handle it – when life is too much and you can’t find that balance. That’s all I tried to do is find that balance and work towards my health and wellness in not just football. It’s bigger than football. It’s my life, my family, my kids. Q: Do you feel like you’re feeling ready? A: I feel good. It’s a day-by-day progress. I’m feeling great. My first day back and I feel good. Got to knock a little rust off. Haven’t played football in five weeks, but that comes with practice being deliberate in my practice and just doing it day-in-and-day-out.Vikings Roster Cuts: Minnesota Vikings release Peter Pujals Fans of the Minnesota Golden Gophers certainly don’t like seeing the words “Holy Cross” for reasons that are unrelated to football, but now the Minnesota Vikings have ensured they don’t have to see them in their football programs, either. On Friday, the Vikings released quarterback Peter Pujals, who played his college ball for the Crusaders of Holy Cross and signed with the team as an undrafted free agent. To say that Pujals never really had a chance to make the squad is a pretty accurate assumption. He didn’t get into a preseason game until the fourth quarter of the preseason finale against the Tennessee Titans. There probably isn’t a whole lot of chance that they bring him back to the practice squad, but at least he got the experience of being on an NFL roster. The Vikings quarterback depth chart is set, and Peter Pujals is not going to be a part of it. We will continue to track the rest of the Vikings’ roster cuts going forward as they march towards the 53-man roster they need to have by Saturday at 3:00 PM Central.
