Kicker Matt Bryant was back at practice despite an injured right calf.
Atlanta (4-4) hosts the Dallas Cowboys (5-3) on Sunday. Jones and Bryant are expected to play despite getting hurt in last week’s loss at Carolina.

Linebacker Duke Riley (knee) is out.
Jones, a two-time All-Pro, is the feature weapon in the Falcons’ offense Dolphins Minkah Fitzpatrick Jersey , but he has just one touchdown catch. He ranks fifth in yards receiving and 12th in receptions.
Jones’ decrease in productivity this season has coincided with the arrival of
first-year offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian. The Falcons led the league in
scoring last year as Jones was the only NFL receiver to average 100 yards per
game. Atlanta ranks 19th in scoring this season.
Jones has not missed a game this year despite back, hip flexor and ankle injuries this year. He ranks fifth in yards receiving and 12th in catches.
”We worked a good bit on our red zone and our third down, so we featured him in those roles today,” coach Dan Quinn said Friday. ”He looked explosive coming out, trying to go through the stuff.”

.CHARLOTTE Bengals Jessie Bates III Jersey , N.C. (AP) A re-energized Cam Newton, a suddenly improving running game and the league’s No. 1-ranked defense have the Carolina Panthers thinking about a return to the playoffs for the fourth time in five years under coach Ron Rivera.
The Panthers enter the bye weekend having won three straight, leaving them at 7-3 and a half-game behind the New Orleans Saints in the NFC South.
Newton said before the team’s 45-21 blowout win over the Miami Dolphins on Monday night that it was starting to feel like a special season. The big win left the Panthers even more confident.
Article continues below ...”We just want to keep it going,” said Newton, who was NFC offensive player of the week after throwing for 254 yards and four touchdowns and rushing for 95 yards on five carries. ”It’s not saying we’ve hit our pinnacle yet Bengals Logan Woodside Jersey , and there’s nothing saying we can’t get better. That’s the thing we’ve just got to be optimistic about.”
There is plenty of reason to be upbeat, beginning with the defense.
Carolina’s veteran-laden group has been the backbone of the team this season, allowing a league-low 278 yards per game while holding four opponents without an offensive touchdown. If the Panthers can ever get some takeaways – they have just nine – they can become a dominant unit.
With veterans Julius Peppers and Charles Johnson up front, Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis at linebacker, and Mike Adams and Kurt Coleman in the secondary Bengals Mark Walton Jersey , Carolina has plenty of experience to make a deep run in the postseason if those older players stay healthy.
The offense has been a work in progress most of the season as the team looked to ”evolve” as a unit. That’s starting to happen.
The Panthers will need to replace rookie wide receiver Curtis Samuel, who was lost for the season to an ankle injury against the Dolphins. But the return of tight end Greg Olsen from injured reserve should be huge. Olsen was the only NFL tight end with three straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons before a broken foot in Week 2 sidelined him for eight games. If all goes well, Olsen said he plans to play against the Jets next Sunday.
Rivera said he is ”curious” to see how Olsen will integrate back into the offense.
Offensive coordinator Mike Shula wasn’t ready to choose a replacement for Samuel, saying the Panthers will fill the role ”by committee.” That means Russell Shepard Bengals Malik Jefferson Jersey , Kaelin Clay and Brenton Bersin could all see increased playing time. The team may look to bring back Damiere Byrd from injured reserve in December.
The Panthers have relied heavily on rookie running back Christian McCaffrey out of the backfield. He is sixth in the NFL in receptions with 57.
But perhaps the most promising aspect ahead for the Panthers is their resurgent running game.
Among the league’s worst during the first half of the season, the Panthers ran for 201 yards against the Falcons and followed that with 294 yards against the Dolphins, led by Jonathan Stewart’s 110 yards. Stewart’s first 100-yard rushing game since last December came one week after he fumbled twice in the first half against the Falcons and saw a decreased role the rest of the game.
”A lot of people said some things about him and Jonathan just wanted to make sure everybody understood,” Rivera said. ”He is not dumb. He is a big part of what we do and he is a part of the reasons why we had success. He is going to continue to work hard and he will be productive for us, as will the other backs”
The Panthers seem to be on a collision course with the Saints (7-2).

things are churning right now, the Panthers have to feel good about their

”I feel as if we’re still scratching the surface with our potential and things we can do as a whole with this offense,” Newton said.

Wushu 
These ancient and fluid martial arts forms are based on rapid jumps and kicks. This is a huge category, with literally hundreds of schools and styles. Most, however, can be arranged in several groups:
* Southern Shaolin Temple Styles: Hung Gar, Nanquan, Wing Chun Cheap Brian Allen Jersey , and Choy Lay F are all examples of southern styles of Chinese martial arts. The people of the provinces south of the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang) were shorter, so the martial arts styles developed here focused mostly on upper body strength and speed.
* Northern Shaolin Temple Styles: It is believed that these styles originated in Henna, and other provinces in northern China. History holds that the northern population of China was taller, and used fluid movements, kicks and jumps to fully make use of their longer limbs. The sword and broadsword routines called Changquan, used in contemporary Wushu competitions, originate from these schools.
* External styles: This is the style most often perceived to be synonymous with Chinese martial arts. External styles focus on agility, physical strength, stamina and explosive movements. To train for external styles requires concentration on speed, muscular power and application. During advanced training levels, these styles generally integrate their qigong aspects after the desired levels of physical hardiness have been reached. External styles include most types of Wushu Cheap Joseph Noteboom Jersey , except Baguazhang, Taijiquan, Xingyiquan and Liu He Ba Fa.
* Internal or Soft Styles: Soft styles of martial arts focus using internal elements such as energy flow and spirit to build power. These styles rely on relaxed leverage, rather than brute force. Theorists believe that differences between internal and the external styles lie in their focus on the philosophy of martial arts. Internal stylists are viewed as philosopher-fighters, spending more time on developing the soul. External schools are those that focus more on the difficult aspect of developing physical prowess.
While internal schools are based on mind, spirit and energy, they do involve physical training. In this style of Chinese martial arts, movements and postures are slow as opposed to fast and explosive. The philosophy is to stay relaxed while involving the entire body in every motion. A martial artist practicing internal school styles will keep his or her breathing deep and controlled, and will coordinate the motions of the body to the breathing. All of this should be done while maintaining perfect balance. Baguazhang, Liuhexinyiquan, Taijiquan, Xingyiquan, Liu He Ba Fa and Yiquan are all internal styles.
Buddhist
Most Buddhist styles were created within temples by Buddhist monks, and later taught to laymen. Buddhist styles of Chinese martial arts incorporate Buddhist philosophy, imagery, principles and numbers. Famous styles of Buddhist martial arts are White Crane, Shaolinquan, Luohanquan, Hung Gar and Wing Chun.
Daoist
Developed within Daoist temples by Daoist ascetics, this group of Chinese martial arts utilizes Daoist principles, imagery and philosophy.
Muslim
Chaquan, Xinyiliuhequan#4# and Qishiquan are examples of Muslim styles of Chinese martial arts. These were practiced by the Muslim Hui minority in China, and are based on Muslim principles and imagery.
To say that one is a student of the martial arts is a gross understatement. It could take a lifetime of study and training to fully understand the ancient and varied areas of Chinese martial arts.

standard in the increasingly competitive 24/7 business of NFL news. In December
he signed a five-year, multimillion-dollar contract extension that is thought to
make him the highest-paid information man in the business and will keep him with
ESPN through 2021. His influence is wide-ranging. As The MMQB’s Tim
Rohan followed Schefter through the first day of free agency, one source of
Schefter’s said when stories get hot, “I don’t call the team; I call Schefter.
The first call is to Adam Schefter. I mean, it’s like, weird.” But it’s real,
and it’s become a critical part of the NFL landscape.

On the morning NFL free agency officially begins, Adam Schefter wakes up in a hotel room, his heart pounding. He’s had a fitful night of sleep, tossing and turning, his mind racing, anticipating the day ahead. He’s so loaded with adrenaline that a sizable blotch has broken out on his neck. No use lying in bed any longer, he figures.
Schefter gets up and starts working, firing off texts to sources around the league: general managers, agents, front-office people and coaches with whom he has developed relationships over his 27 years covering the NFL. He’s been working the phones for months leading up to this day.
The start of free agency. Christmas morning. The busiest day of his calendar year.
A number of high-profile players will be changing teams today, and each one will count as a major story. Dozens of reporters from around the country will be chasing those stories, and Schefter Buccaneers Carlton Davis Jersey , ESPN’s lead NFL insider, will be expected to break them first.
All of them.
Over the next hour or so, Schefter sends out 31 texts, checking in on a number of teams and players. At around 5:30 he heads down to the hotel gym. It’s empty. He climbs onto an elliptical machine, watching SportsCenter and monitoring his phone. Already he has broken two stories—kicker Stephen Hauschka likely to sign with Buffalo; tackle Matt Kalil with Carolina—and he’s beginning to hear back from more sources.
“Let’s see who’s going to call back,” Schefter says, going hard on the elliptical, working up a sweat. “Someone is going to call back. Usually the people that are calling back, they want answers, because they’re involved in something. So now you’re involved in something.”
This will continue all day, Schefter texting and calling his sources, gossiping and trading information, building his own stockpile until he has enough to break a story. Then Schefter will send the news to his 6 million Twitter followers Buccaneers M.J. Stewart Jersey , or announce it on TV or radio or any of the other ESPN outlets he’ll appear on throughout the day. The majority of the league will get the news all at once, straight from Schefter’s mouth or from his Twitter account.
At 6:08 a.m., an NFL head coach calls. The coach and Schefter chat for about eight minutes, mostly about teams and players in the cornerback and offensive line markets. As the conversation ends, Schefter gives the coach a reminder that he will repeat to a number of his sources all day: “I’ll keep you posted if I hear anything — and please do the same.”

Schefter emerges from his hotel room wearing a dark blue suit, light blue tie and dress shirt with his initials embroidered in red on the cuff. Outside the hotel, a large SUV, with a driver and an ESPN security team, is waiting to take him to work—even though his Doubletree Hotel is practically across the street from ESPN.
A few years ago, Seth Markman, the senior coordinating producer who oversees ESPN’s NFL coverage, decided that Schefter shouldn’t drive anymore. Markman thought his reporter should be freed up to call and text at all times Buccaneers Ronald Jones II Jersey , so he could break more stories and avoid the hazard of texting while driving. Schefter’s so locked into his phone that producers have had to warn him at times when he’s approaching a staircase. Whenever Schefter travels to Bristol from his home in the New York City area, either he hires a driver or Markman dispatches a member of the ESPN security team to pick him up. Like today.
In the short ride to the ESPN campus, Schefter receives a call from his daughter Dylan, 8. Schefter’s wife, Sharri, is driving their daughter to school. Dad tries to sneak in these calls as much as he can, in between his calls to sources. “How’re you doing, Dyl?” he asks.
“I’m doing gooood,” she says. “Anything happening with Romo today?”
Even Adam Schefter’s daughter loves a scoop.
