We need to talk about
taxonomies. WordPress uses taxonomies for content grouping, in the form
of categories, tags, or by creating a custom taxonomy. Where categories
indicate hierarchy, tags are often used quite randomly. If you don't
control how you use them, you will probably end up with a whole lot of
tags on your site. Some of them might only be used once! What you might
not know is that this could cause some problems, like duplicate or thin
content.
