Best idea: six of our favorite MB&F watches
MB&F, which debuted in 2005, has just recently launched its 20th caliber and won a surprise 'Golden Pin' award at the recent Geneva Grand Prix de la Horlogerie ("GPHG"). Even with the cooperation and strength of independent Replica watches oniline manufacturers, it was not an easy task for Maximillian Büsser, head of the eponymous brand, and his watchmaking friends.
Having recently visited the new MB&F laboratory at The Hour Glass, currently showcasing all 20 MB&F movements produced over the past 17 years, we are in awe of the talent of Max and his team. Even though we've gotten our hands on a lot of MB&F's watches, seeing all 20 in one location is incredible, to say the least. It also reminds the author of his first exposure to the world of independent watchmaking many years ago with the esoteric Horological Machine 3.
We thought there could be no better way to pay homage to Max and MB&F on this special milestone than by presenting some of our favorite watches from the brand. Although, let's be honest, shrinking down to six pieces isn't the easiest of tasks...
MB&F Clockwork 3
Maybe it's just the author, but we firmly believe that Horological Machine 3 caught the world's attention and put MB&F in the spotlight.
Launched in 2009, this quirky timepiece features two domes - to indicate hours and minutes. There were several iterations of the HM3, of which the "frog" - featuring two reconstructed domes resembling amphibian eyes - is probably the most famous of them all. This Swiss Replica Watches is especially based on Girard-Perregaux and the engine was designed for the brand by Jean-Marc Wiederrecht.
The HM3 is different and without a doubt one of the most iconic timepieces in the MB&F collection. We think the series' success speaks for itself.
MB&F Legacy 101
The LM101 may be MB&F's entry model, but don't underestimate this timepiece. This is a very fine watch that deserves to be placed in the highest echelons of watchmaking.
Based on the Legacy Machine 1 and 2, the LM101 was a more streamlined version of its counterparts, with a smaller case (40mm instead of 44mm) and a less complex movement. However, that doesn't mean the LM101 is an inferior watch. The watch is equipped with a self-developed movement, and the specification and aesthetic design are completed by the master watchmaker Kari Voutilainen. The LM101 is well worth a look, both front and back.Replica Richard Mille for sale
Although an entry-level watch, the LM101 has all the hallmarks of a great watch. Great design, great attention to detail, and a finishing technique to die for. What more do you want?
MB&F Clockwork 5
The HM5 "On the Road Again" is a fascinating piece that combines 1970s and future inspirations to create a rather unique timepiece.
There are several sources of inspiration behind the HM5, most notably the silhouette of the famous Lamborghini Miura, Girard-Perregaux's "Cassette" watch and the Amida Digitrend. The result is a modern timepiece with an unusual vertical digital time display. To achieve this, a wedge-shaped sapphire prism is used to refract and magnify the disk at the desired angle. There's also a lever that opens and closes a shutter at the top of the enclosure, which allows light in and charges the glowing material on the disc.
While it may not be MB&F's most technically complex watch, the HM5 has a certain charm. Ideas for design and conceptualization are also MB&F's forte, and this watch certainly exemplifies that.replica Jacob and Co. Astronomia
MB&F Legacy Machine Perpetual Motion
The LM Perpetual debuted in 2015 as MB&F's first timepiece with a perpetual calendar complication. But as with MB&F, there's more than just eye candy.
MB&F's interpretation of the complex functions of the perpetual calendar is not just a pretty face. This watch features a permanent complication redesigned by Stephen McDonnell, in which the traditional grand levier is completely omitted. This allows the placement of the balance wheel on the dial side (a hallmark of the LM collection) and ensures that mechanically, the date changes instantaneously and interfering gears are a thing of the past.
This timepiece paved the way for more complicated watches in the LM line, such as the latest LM Sequential, which features one of the most complicated timekeeping systems around. But before we go any further, we must of course admit that the LM Perpetual is a stunning piece of work and hits all the right boxes.best Quality replica Watches
MB&F Clockwork 9
MB&F's watches are also often hailed as "wearable art", and the HM9 "Flow" shows us just that with its sensual, sculptural case.
Drawing inspiration from classic cars and aircraft – most notably the Mercedes-Benz W196 racing car and the sleek De Havilland Venom aircraft – the HM9 is a gorgeous timepiece with sleek, flowing lines. Looks aside, the watch is also equipped with a movement consisting of two completely independent balance wheels with planetary differentials, and a vertical chronograph display.
There is hardly anything in the horological world that looks like the HM9. This sexy replica watch sales is in a class of its own, combining an unconventional (yet beautiful) design with the principles of haute horology. Even by MB&F's high standards, the HM9 is a truly stunning timepiece.
MB&F Legacy Machine Sequential EVO
Last but not least, we have MB&F's newest timepiece: the LM Sequential EVO.
This new kid on the block may be the most impressive MB&F watch yet. Not only was the LM Sequential EVO the first MB&F timepiece to feature a chronograph, but with the help of Stephen McDonnell it also introduced complications in a whole new way. Here we have two separate chronographs that can run independently or simultaneously through the "Twinverter" mechanism. In fact, the "Twinverter" can also stop the operation of one chronograph and start the operation of another chronograph at the same time. Talk about mechanical ingenuity.
We've always been fans of the work of Max and his partners. The LM Sequential EVO here is a living testament to the incredible minds behind the brand and what they are capable of producing. This watch certainly cemented MB&F's position as a leading independent watchmaking brand, if they weren't already.Patek Philippe replica
Where do we start? Many superlatives have been used to describe the work of Max and his friends, but words are not enough to do these masterpieces justice. It's hard to describe the emotional experience one experiences when encountering MB&F, and frankly, we strongly recommend everyone to indulge in it at least when they get the chance (such as the ongoing MB&F Lab exhibition, in Singapore).
There's something about MB&F's watches that appeals to us. Maybe it's the unconventional nature of the design, or the boldness of the concept. Those are things we admire, but bringing them to life in such a special way is really a whole different ballgame. Very few people can do that and Max is one of the few incredible talents this industry is very lucky to have. In a way, the watch industry might not be the same without Max and his partners (and some of the more prominent names, we’ll get to that on another occasion). best replica Bovet
