In the past tennis was not that popular Authentic Colby Rasmus Jersey , you have to admit that soccer was far more popular than tennis, but as it happened in the last year this sport has constantly gain ground, surpassing soccer and even basketball (on the European continent at least). But have you ever wondered, what exactly makes this sports such a pleasure to watch?

The 50% that gives the unpredictability
Unlike in soccer, tennis only has two players (we exclude here the double matches) and thus it becomes more unpredictable. Let me explain why, at soccer there are 11 players including the goalkeeper so if one of them is not in his best shape, he will be backed up by the other team or even be replaced with a spare player and the chances of winning or of throwing in a good match are still high. Whereas, in a tennis match http://www.sanfrancisco49ersteamonline.com/tarvarius-moore-jersey , if a players feels tired or is in a bad shape, it will most definitely show up and influence the result and about this there is nothing to be done. It happened many times for a tennis player to feel tired or to face a tough period and thus lose a match for which he was favorite to begin with. Tennis matches are also unpredictable because they can easily be canceled, postponed or a player might withdraw if he does not feel able to continue playing, this thing rarely happening during a soccer match, one being postponed only if there is a more important event overlapping.

The show and competitions
The second most attractive thing about tennis matches is the show, it definitely is more entertaining than a soccer match because the ball is passed way more rapidly from one player to the other, so viewers will constantly need to watch in order not to lose an important moment that might change the result. And of course, one of the most impressing things about tennis are the organization and the competitions offered. There are four world renowned competitions known as Grand Slam Tournaments Cheap B.J. Hill Jersey , mainly Wimbledon, the US Open, The Australian Open and the French Open, each offering a great show with the best players from the ATP rank. So, to simply put it, of this sport you can never get bored because the fight for No. 1 has always been tough. Players need to train hard and participate to competitions in order to get more points, of course, one can get tired and perform badly Authentic Luke Falk Jersey , thus offering many surprises.

Pure passion for the game
The game itself is quite attractive, many people playing it just for fun or out of sheer pleasure. The tennis courts are always filled with amateurs who enjoy this sport and then of course, they watch the championships with a greater interest. Of course, each championship is different and this is what complicates the game a little. There are roughly speaking three types of courts, hardcourt, clay court and grass, each having a set of characteristics that might advantage or disadvantage a player. For example, hardcourt is usually a fast type of surface (being mostly preferred by amateurs) Giants Kareem Martin Jersey , clay cord is slower on which the ball bounces with more consistency and the grass court is somewhere in the middle, but if there are uneven patches it makes the ball bounce a little funny.
So, this is not an easy game to practice with many factors to take into consideration, but this difficulty is what makes it so appreciated all around the world, being referred to in the past as the noble game, being played only by the privileged class.

Some were championship-defining events. Others capped upsets. One just seemed to defy the laws of physics.

Sports are moments Authentic Kerryon Johnson Jersey , and there were many that will not be forgotten in 2017.

Whether it was a human being jumping over another human being, a ridiculous kick return that will be remembered for not actually getting into the end zone, a shot that ended an epic winning streak or a diving grab that punctuated a Super Bowl comeback for all time, this year was filled with plenty of plays that are likely forever etched on those who got to see them happen.

Article continues below ...

Without further ado, here are the sports plays of the year:

10. No sliding required

Toronto’s Chris Coghlan had three options: Go through St. Louis catcher Yadier Molina, go around him or go over him. He smartly chose the last one. Coghlan was trying to score on Kevin Pillar’s triple. St. Louis right fielder Stephen Piscotty’s throw to the plate was a few feet up the third-base line, putting Molina right in Coghlan’s path. Coghlan went airborne, flipped over Molina Authentic Pat Neshek Jersey , somehow landed on the plate and the Blue Jays took a 3-2 lead.

9. Shorthanded season-saver

Julia Duquette’s only goal of her senior season at Plattsburgh State in upstate New York is one she’ll never forget. Duquette’s shorthanded goal with 20.7 seconds left in regulation pulled the Cardinals into a tie with Adrian in the NCAA Division III women’s hockey final – and Plattsburgh would go on to win it in overtime for its fourth consecutive national championship.

8. A Preakness upset

Always Dreaming and Classic Empire were the favorites going into the Preakness Stakes , the middle leg of the Triple Crown, and those two dueled most of the way – until Cloud Computing decided it was time to beat them both. Cloud Computing, trained by Chad Brown and ridden by Javier Castellano, stole the race in the last half-dozen strides and paid $28.80 on $2 win bets to its backers.

7. Waiters strikes the pose

Dion Waiters was in no hurry. He knew exactly what he was going to do. After Kevin Durant’s dunk pulled Golden State into a 102-102 tie with Miami with 11.7 seconds left, Waiters took the inbounds pass, coolly brought the ball upcourt, made a move on Klay Thompson and delivered a straightaway 3-pointer that gave the Heat a win – punctuated by his striking an arms-folded pose afterward Cheap Alex Cappa Jersey , one that quickly became part of Heat lore.

6. Cole Mericle’s miracle

Cole Mericle kicked what became the game-winning field goal for Lima Senior High in Ohio with 3 seconds left, but no one will remember that part of his team’s 25-24 victory over St. Francis de Sales. Mericle’s ensuing kickoff turned into a five-lateral return, one where St. Francis got the ball down to the Lima 2 – but the ball carrier stumbled a bit on the turf, Mericle ran him down in the nick of time and Lima escaped.

5. Clemson’s title hunter

Hunter Renfrow, a former walk-on, made the catch with 1 second left that gave Clemson a win over Alabama in the College Football Playoff championship game. The 2-yard scoring toss from Deshaun Watson gave the Tigers a 35-31 win over the Crimson Tide, in a championship rematch where the sequel was just as good as the original.

4. Down goes UConn

Morgan William wanted the ball, got it and made history. William’s jumper with no time remaining in overtime lifted Mississippi State to a 66-64 win over Connecticut in the national semifinals Authentic Billy Price Jersey , ending the Huskies’ 111-game winning streak. Mississippi State led by as many as 16 points, then found itself trailing by three late before William delivered the dagger. ”I live for moments like this,” she said.

3. Sloane’s U.S. Open

It’s hard to pick one play that stood out for Sloane Stephens in her ride to the U.S. Open title this summer, but this 25-stroke point might have been the gem. Stephens was serving down 4-5, 30-30 in the third set to Venus Williams in the semifinals, and needed a backhand winner down the line to help her eventually hold. Had that shot missed, she would have faced match point. Instead, Stephens went on to capture the title.

2. Spieth from the sand

Here’s how you win a playoff: Hole out from 60 feet from the sand. Jordan Spieth hit plenty of stellar shots in 2017 http://www.losangelesramsteamonline.com/john-franklin-myers-jersey , none of them probably more memorable than his bunker shot in a playoff to beat Daniel Berger and win the Travelers Championship. Berger had a 50-foot putt that just missed after Spieth’s dramatic moment – and tipped his cap afterward. ”Jordan does Jordan things,” Berger said. ”So there’s not really much you can say.”

1. Edelman’s Super catch

Down by eight points with about two minutes left in the Super Bowl, the New England Patriots needed all the heroics they could get – and Julian Edelman delivered . His diving, juggling catch of a Tom Brady pass that almost got intercepted was perhaps the biggest moment in the Patriots’ stirring rally from being down 28-3 and beating Atlanta in overtime for their fifth Vince Lombardi Trophy.

METAIRIE http://www.newyorkjetsteamonline.com/bryce-petty-jersey , La. (AP) On paper, it looks as if coach Sean Payton has the Saints rolling once again.

They’ve won five straight and enter a second straight week atop the NFC South all by themselves.

Then there’s the more complicated, nuanced reality of how the past two games have gone.

Article continues below ...

When the Saints won at Green Bay in Week 7, they didn’t have to play against star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who hurt his collarbone the week before.

In a win over Chicago on Sunday, New Orleans had two pivotal replay reversals go in their favor and also were facing a rookie QB making his fourth start.

On Monday, Payton said his message to the team is that there are ”a lot of things we’re doing well and yet there’s a number of things we’re not doing as well, and I do believe when we play in a bigger game against a better team, those can catch up with you.”

”We’re still chasing a perfect four quarters of football as opposed to a good half Authentic Eric Hosmer Jersey ,” Payton added.

What Payton won’t do is apologize for good fortune, such as a reversal of what was initially ruled a fumble by Saints running back Alvin Kamara, or the disputed reversal of what appeared to be a touchdown catch by Bears tight end Zach Miller, who seriously injured his knee as he came down with the ball.

”Our league each week is made up of breaks,” Payton said. ”We can’t control the quarterback (in Green Bay) and quite honestly I thought (officials) missed some calls” to New Orleans’ detriment against Chicago.

Regardless of breaks, the improvement of New Orleans’ defense is evident. The unit has closed out the past two victories with interceptions and hasn’t allowed as many as 350 yards in a game during the winning streak after allowing an average of 512.5 yards in New Orleans’ two losses during Weeks 1 and 2.

”As long as we’re winning, even when we’re not playing our best in all phases, that’s always good,” veteran safety Rafael Bush said. ”We’re getting those gritty wins. We’re closing out games on defense. That’s going to pay dividends when we get to the latter part of the season.”

Bush said confidence is growing with each victory Authentic Barkevious Mingo Jersey , but stressed he doesn’t ”want us to get ahead of ourselves or think we have arrived.”

The previous time New Orleans won five straight was 2013, when left tackle Terron Armstead was a rookie reserve. He became a starter later that season, after New Orleans had opened 5-0.

”It’s good to go on this win streak right now, but we’re far from satisfied,” Armstead said. ”It’s tough in this league to get wins. It doesn’t matter who’s on the field. We’re taking each win and claiming it as ours and trying to stack them up.”

The Saints went 7-9 each of the previous three seasons, meaning third-year defensive lineman Tyeler Davison has yet to experience a winning NFL campaign.

He said understanding how tough it can be to win consistently in the NFL makes him optimistic about New Orleans’ recent streak.

”Regardless of if the Packers didn’t have Aaron Rodgers or the Bears have a rookie quarterback, it’s still NFL football,” Davison said. ”I’m pretty sure the Bears had just come off winning a couple games themselves.”

Indeed, the Bears arrived in New Orleans having won two straight Cheap Dalton Schultz Jersey , but trailed by two scores for most of Sunday’s 20-12 loss to the Saints.

”We know that we’ve done a lot of good things these last five games. We also know there are still things we can get better at,” Davison said, noting that the Saints are ”not getting big-headed.”

”As long as we keep being objective about what we see, I feel like we’ll be good,” Davison said.

NOTES: CB Delvin Breaux, a starter when healthy the past two seasons, is eligible to come off injured reserve this week and said he feels ready to do so. ”I’m great. I’m there. I practiced full last week,” said Breaux, who had surgery in August for a fibula fracture. However Cheap Antonio Callaway Jersey , Payton said the Saints won’t rush Breaux back, comparing his situation to that of receiver Willie Snead, who has seen minimal action since returning from an early season suspension. ”I don’t think you just flip the switch and then bang,” Payton said. … Bush, who was in coverage when Miller’s knee gave out Sunday, said it was upsetting to learn about the seriousness of the tight end’s injury, which required immediate surgery at a hospital. ”I’m praying for him and his family and I’m praying that he has a speedy recovery,” Bush said.

A golf school or golf lessons...that is the question! Now if you searched for a golf school to go to you'd find hundreds all promising to help you improve your golf game. Then on the other hand Jets Terrelle Pryor Sr. Jersey , if you searched for someone to give you a golf lesson you'd find thousands of professional golfers all claiming they'll improve your golf game if you'll go to them. So if you want to improve your golf game what would be best for you...personal golf lessons or a golf school?

Well to help you decide here's a quick comparison of going to a school compared with getting personal lessons from a golf professional.

Personal Golf Lessons:

*You decide what you want to work on and when.

* The average price for an hour long personal lesson with a pro is $75.

* The professionals attention is solely on you so you're the star.

* Generally your lesson is in the same place where you can hit balls before you play.

* If something is going wrong you simply arrange another lesson to help fix it.

* Top instructors are very busy and it's tough to get into their schedules so you may have to settle for a teacher that is not as good.

Golf Schools:

* You can practice everything but you're generally told what you must practice and when.

* Average price for a Top 25 School in the US is $1,108.

* The professional's attention is not solely on you.

* At a golf school generally you have access to a large practice facility that is used just for the golf school you're attending.

* After your golf school there is generally limited support and if you need a lot of further help you'll probably have to pay again to attend the school.

* School instructors run golf schools for a living, i.e. that's all they do.

Now if you choose to go to a school here's what you should expect:

* 1 to 4 student ratio: If the school you're interested in doesn't have at least a 1 to 4 student/teacher ratio then you should seriously consider another golf school.

* Playing lessons: The school you attend should include at least one playing lesson. Because it's one thing to practice golf but another to play the course and put things into practice in real life situations.

* Video analysis: The school should offer video analysis of your golf game as part of the service Authentic Evgeny Kuznetsov Jersey , not as an extra. Video analysis is very, very common these days and an accepted part of modern golf coaching.

* Game time: In the times where you're free to do what you wish you should be able to play a golf course for free or for a very small cost.

So now you know what you should expect from a golf school how much can you expect to improve from a school?

Well, do not expect to massively cut your handicap from say 20 to 15 after attending a 3 day school. Because this is an unrealistic goal after such a short period of instruction.

If every golfer slashed 5 strokes from a 3 day golf school then everyone would go to them.

Instead you should see the school as the start of your improvement and when you leave the school you should know your game's strengths and weaknesses. And you should be given a comprehensive plan so you keep on improving and know exactly what you must work on to fix your bad habits.

Remember http://www.tampabaybuccaneersteamonline.com/vinny-curry-jersey , the golf school is just a starting place to improve your golf game not the complete solution. And here's a word of advice.

If you're going to attend a school make sure you get in some reasonable physical shape before you go, because you'll be standing around a lot and hitting a lot of balls. Also take...

* Sun block

* Sunhat

* A couple of golf gloves

* Band-Aids

* At least a dozen golf balls

* Sunglasses

* Insect repellent

* Umbrella

* Comfortable golf shoes

If you're not used to hitting a lot of balls then you'll get very sore and won't get as much benefit from the golf school experience.

MOSCOW (AP) Most Authentic Jeremy Kerley Jersey , but not all, of Russia’s top sports stars are backing Vladimir Putin in this weekend’s presidential election.

Ahead of Sunday’s vote, a host of Olympic gold medalists and NHL player Alex Ovechkin have thrown their support behind Putin. Ovechkin even launched a ”Putin Team” campaign on social media.

On the other side, there’s Yevgeny Kafelnikov.

Article continues below ...

The former No. 1-ranked tennis player is the only major Russian athlete to back opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who has been barred from taking part in the election.

With Putin poised to win as much as 70 percent of the vote, according to state pollsters, Kafelnikov told The Associated Press he won’t vote. Navalny has called on his supporters to boycott what he sees as an unfair election.

”You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to understand (that Putin will win),” said the 44-year-old Kafelnikov, who stopped playing professionally in 2003. ”My choice, who I was willing to give my voice to at the election Saints Rick Leonard Jersey , he was not allowed to run for the presidency.”

Sports stars have long been a fixture in Russian political campaigns, while boxer Nikolai Valuev and tennis player Marat Safin are among a host of athletes who have represented the United Russia party in parliament. Kafelnikov said he, too, was approached in 2003 to take a parliamentary seat for the party, but declined because he felt he wouldn’t be allowed to express his real views.

”After two days thinking, I thought something is a bit dodgy and I don’t want to be involved,” he said. ”My voice isn’t going to be counted as whatever I think. So I said I don’t want to be there just for pressing the button (to vote).”

Athletes are being increasingly exploited as symbols of prestige for those in power, Kafelnikov said.

”I always thought sports and politics should not collide together on the same path, should be completely separate. Unfortunately as of late … someone’s using the professional athletes for their own benefit,” he said. ”I’ve been always open-minded and people obviously know that Yevgeny Kafelnikov is not for sale. There is no chance that I could sell myself for something like this.

”I’m sure other athletes who are supporting so-called Putin’s team http://www.jacksonvillejaguarsteamonline.com/logan-cooke-jersey , they do have a choice but they’ve chosen the path which they’re comfortable with. I’m not going to judge each one, why they did this.”

Kafelnikov’s 24,000 followers on Twitter are treated to a mix of political commentary, occasional banter between him and Navalny, and copious chat about Kafelnikov’s beloved Spartak Moscow soccer team.

It’s a contrast to Ovechkin’s Instagram, where the Washington Capitals forward launched his Putin Team in November. It started as a loose affiliation of athletes and other celebrities sharing a hashtag, but has since become a formal campaign organization which held a rally Sunday in central Moscow’s Gorky Park.

Ovechkin said in November he had ”a good relationship” with Putin, who gave Ovechkin and his wife a tea set when they married last July.

”I just support my country, you know? That’s where I’m from, my parents live there Chiefs Derrick Nnadi Jersey , all my friends,” Ovechkin said. ”Like every human from different countries, they support their president.”

Golos, a non-governmental organization which monitors possible election violations, flagged up Sunday’s Putin Team rally. Promises of free gifts for attendees could be seen as bribery, the watchdog said.

Putin Team did not respond to a request for comment on that accusation. It also hasn’t said who funds the organization, which has offered valuable prizes such as GoPro cameras to its supporters.

Besides Ovechkin’s group, Putin also has soccer goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, heavyweight boxer Alexander Povetkin and biathlon champion Anton Shipulin as registered campaign surrogates.

Putin held a rally on March 3 at Moscow’s vast Luzhniki Stadium, which will host the soccer World Cup final in July. With him was 15-year-old figure skating gold medalist Alina Zagitova Falcons Deadrin Senat Jersey , fresh from the Olympics in Pyeongchang, and the entire gold medal-winning men’s hockey team. Zagitova’s participation prompted concerns from some opposition activists that the Putin campaign was improperly using a child for electioneering.

Putin himself practiced judo in his youth, and some of his former partners went on to become billionaires under his rule. Now he tends to play hockey, often scoring numerous goals in televised exhibition games against former NHL players.

Many Russian athletes rely on the government for their livelihood. In most Olympic sports, the Sports Ministry wields wide-ranging power over funding, and even hires and fires individual coaches. Many of Russia’s top clubs in soccer and hockey are funded by state-controlled companies.

It’s hard to say exactly how many Russian athletes back Putin wholeheartedly or have opposition sympathies.

Kafelnikov said he doesn’t believe athletes are coerced into backing the government, but added he’s in contact with other opposition-minded athletes who don’t talk politics openly.

”I’m sure there are plenty. I’m hoping so,” he said. ”There are some who share my thoughts toward what’s happening and what’s going to happen. I do have some supporters.”

SANTA CLARA Cheap DJ Chark Jersey , Calif. (AP) Jimmy Garoppolo has started his tenure with San Francisco better than any quarterback has done with a new team.

The player who brought hope to the 49ers after three-plus years of struggles in San Francisco will be in for his toughest test yet this week.

Garoppolo and the 49ers (4-10) host the playoff-bound Jacksonville Jaguars (10-4) on Sunday, facing their punishing defense that leads the NFL in fewest points allowed, most sacks and lowest yards per play against.

Article continues below ...

”I look forward to it a lot, for our whole team,” coach Kyle Shanahan said. ”I do believe that they have as much qualities as anyone that it takes to win a Super Bowl; a top defense, a very good running game Authentic Luke Falk Jersey , a good offense, good special teams. When you see a team like that on tape that you believe has that ability, it’s a good thing, it’s a good challenge for your team to go against them and see where you’re at.”

The Niners have done quite well since making Garoppolo the starter earlier this month in Chicago. He joined Hall of Famer Y.A. Tittle as the only 49ers quarterbacks to win his first three starts with the franchise and is the first quarterback to do that with any team while throwing for at least 1,000 yards in those games, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

That performance is not lost on the Jaguars http://www.neworleanssaintsteamonlines.com/marcus-davenport-jersey , who can clinch their first division title since 1999 with a win.

”He is a really good NFL quarterback,” coach Doug Marrone said. ”We know that. That’s on film. That’s on tape. That’s not something we have to fabricate or make him seem better than he is. He’s as good as it gets right now for what’s going on around the league.”

While Garoppolo has played as well as any quarterback the past three weeks, the Jaguars have been tops in the league on defense all year with a unit modeled after the one that has been so dominant for years in Seattle.

Jacksonville leads the NFL in several defensive categories thanks in part to a quartet of Pro Bowlers in defensive end Calais Campbell, defensive tackle Malik Jackson, cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye.

”A lot of teams are adapting to this and so you see it all over the league now. Seattle started it and now teams are adapting it,” Garoppolo said. ”I think the players that they have make it unique. They have very talented players on every level of the defense. It’s going to be a good challenge for us.”

Here are some other things to watch:

RED-ZONE WOES: Perhaps the only area where Garoppolo has struggled has been in finishing drives. The 49ers have scored on 18 of 28 non-kneeldown drives since he took over as starter earlier this month. Only three of those scores were touchdowns. San Francisco has scored TDs on just three of 10 red-zone trips in those games http://www.indianapoliscoltsteamonline.com/quenton-nelson-jersey , the fourth-worst rate in the league during that span.

”It’s probably one of the toughest areas in football offensively to execute,” Garoppolo said. ”Everything has to go perfect down there.”

BORTLES’ BOOST: The Jaguars have gotten pretty strong play from their quarterback of late as well. Blake Bortles is the first Jacksonville quarterback to have three straight games with at least two TD passes and no interceptions. Bortles is averaging 301 yards passing during that span and leads the NFL with a 128.6 passer rating in December.

”Any time you have a defense play the way they do and any time you have the number one running game in the NFL, that makes a lot of things easier on a quarterback,” Shanahan said. ”Not to take anything away from him, but he’s doing exactly what he needs to do and he’s making plays doing it.”

GOOD FOR GOODWIN: The biggest beneficiary of Garoppolo’s arrival has probably been receiver Marquise Goodwin, who has 24 catches for 319 yards the past three weeks. Goodwin has topped the 100-yard mark the past two weeks and can become the first San Francisco player to do it three in a row since Jerry Rice had a four-game streak in 1995. The prolific numbers come as little surprise to Marrone Authentic Derick Brassard Jersey , who coached Goodwin during his first two seasons in Buffalo in 2013-14.

”I loved him,” Marrone said. ”He’s the fastest player I’ve ever seen on a field. And I’ve been around some fast players.”

TRAVELING BLUES: The Jaguars clinched their first playoff berth since 2007 last week but have gone even longer without winning on the West Coast. Jacksonville has lost eight straight games in the Pacific Time Zone and most of them haven’t been close. The Jaguars have been outscored by 20.9 points per game in that span since their last win out west on Jan. 2, 2005, at Oakland.

BEREA Rams Brian Allen Jersey , Ohio (AP) Hue Jackson doesn’t think the losing will include his job.

Cleveland’s beleaguered coach, who takes a 0-15 mark this season and 1-30 record over two years into Sunday’s finale at Pittsburgh, said Wednesday he has no doubt owner Jimmy Haslam will keep his word and keep him around in 2018.

When Haslam fired Sashi Brown, the team’s vice president of football operations, on Dec. 8 and replaced him with general manager John Dorsey, he also announced Jackson would return. However, despite Haslam’s support, there remains rampant speculation about Jackson’s future.

Article continues below ...

With just days left in another lost season, Jackson is confident he’ll be back.

”I unequivocally believe without question that what Jimmy Haslam said is what is going to happen here Giants Lorenzo Carter Jersey ,” Jackson said as the historically bad Browns readied for the Steelers. ”There is nothing that anybody has said to me to make me feel differently. It is tough. Being in this situation is hard. I’m sure it is hard for them, too, but hopefully, I have shown them through my work ethic, through our coaching staff’s work ethic and how the players have been and how they respond that I am the right guy to help get this organization to where it needs to be.”

Jackson’s second season has been a nightmare. The Browns have shown little progress and are one loss from joining the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only 0-16 teams in NFL history. If that happens, some Cleveland fans will sarcastically celebrate one of the worst seasons in professional sports with a parade around the Browns’ downtown stadium.

Jackson understands and respects why there is some outcry about Haslam’s decision to keep him.

”I can’t go by what everybody else thinks or what everybody else wants,” he said. ”I can only go by the people who employ me, who believe in what I’m trying to do here and what I believe they are trying to do here. That is all I can go by. I do get when you are a coach of a team that hasn’t won and things don’t go well – trust me, I have made my mistakes Bears Joel Iyiegbuniwe Jersey , too.

”I will be the first to tell you that, but at the same time, I think if everybody knew the inner workings and how things went and where we are, I think people would understand better, but that is just where we are right now. You can’t sugarcoat it. There is no way around it. The record is what it is. This is where we are so we have to find a way to climb out of this hole as fast as we can and get to where I think we should be.”

Dorsey, who has spent the past few weeks getting to know Jackson and his staff, embarked on a similar rebuilding project with Kansas City. Because of his connections, it was assumed that Dorsey would want to bring in his own coach in Cleveland. Also, Dorsey’s somewhat tepid endorsement of Jackson in some recent interviews fanned conjecture a coaching change was imminent.

However Cheap M.J. Stewart Jersey , Jackson, whose relationship with Brown crumbled as the losses piled up, said he and Dorsey are united.

”I have enjoyed our conversations, and I know what our vision is as an organization for our football team,” he said. ”I think we share the same thoughts that way. He is a football guy. We share alike mindedness on what it takes to get this place to where we think it needs to be. Are there more conversations to have? Yes. Are there more vetting out to do through some of our processes? Yes, but thus far, it has been outstanding.”

As for Haslam, Jackson said his support has ”never wavered.” Cleveland’s owner has promised continuity, and perhaps revamping the front office will suffice – for now.

And while there is outrage among some Cleveland fans over Jackson’s apparent survival Authentic Mason Rudolph Jersey , his players have been publicly supportive.

”He does a good job of inspiring the guys to play hard, to work hard,” said guard Joel Bitonio. ”For the most part we come out, we compete, we fight to win. He puts us in good positions to make plays and it’s been tough. I think he has probably taken the losing the hardest each week. No one expects to lose the way we’ve lost. And for him to bring the same energy, his same fight, the way he game plans each week, it’s been impressive from that point of view and he keeps the team together.”

Fleury made 30 saves and Vegas failed to convert on all five power-play chances while losing for the second time in eight games this postseason.

”They were a little more competitive than we were tonight,” Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant said. ”We didn’t play a bad game, but we didn’t play well enough to win and they did, and they really did. I think we played well enough to win all of the first three Cheap Quenton Nelson Jersey , but tonight? No.”

Jones was a big reason for that, starting with a key save early against Reilly Smith. Jones was helped on a delayed penalty when Brent Burns cleared a puck off the goal line and when James Neal hit the post on a power play in the first period.

But the San Jose goalie also delivered some big-time saves, including back-to-back stops against William Karlsson and Jonathan Marchessault on a Vegas power play in the final minute of the second. Jones then turned aside Smith on a power play in the third.

Jones tied Evgeni Nabokov’s team record for most saves in a playoff shutout, and the Sharks have turned things around following a 7-0 loss in the opener.

”I thought we probably managed the puck a little bit better for the whole game,” Jones said. ”We won battles on the boards Eagles Dallas Goedert Jersey , we got pucks out when we needed to and we got pucks in when we needed to. That was big for us tonight.”

Hertl helped give Jones a cushion with his goal early in the second. Logan Couture won an offensive zone faceoff against Erik Haula, and Mikkel Boedker took the puck behind the net for a wraparound attempt. Hertl was in front and knocked in the loose puck to make it 3-0.

Pavelski’s goal on the rebound of Couture’s shot sealed the game midway through the third.

The Sharks made some changes from Game 3, with defenseman Joakim Ryan returning to the lineup for the first time since March 16 in place of Paul Martin, and Donskoi getting back in after missing the previous game with a lower-body injury.

After an early giveaway led to a scoring chance for Vegas, Ryan fared well and stripped William Carrier of the puck to thwart a chance for the Golden Knights.

San Jose then scored twice in the final five minutes of the first period. Sorensen struck first Authentic Jonathan Drouin Jersey , using a pick from linemate Eric Fehr to get loose from the corner and then skate around two defenseman to beat Fleury with his fourth goal of the playoffs.

The Sharks added to the lead with 5.1 seconds to go when Donskoi skated from his own zone and beat Fleury with a wrist shot from the high slot.

”At the start of the game they actually had some better looks than we did. I think they came out hard and better than we did and then Marcus scored and Joonas’ goal was big as well,” Couture said. ”The 2-0 goal was a massive goal heading into the first intermission.”

Vegas was never able to recover from that early deficit.

”We got caught a little bit sleeping in the first period and they took advantage,” Marchessault said.

NOTES: Nabokov made 34 saves in playoff shutouts against Calgary in 2004 and Detroit in 2007. … Vegas had outscored the opposition 7-1 in the first period through its first seven games this postseason. … Sorensen has five goals in 14 playoff games compared to six in 51 regular-season games.

TAMPA Eagles Richard Rodgers Jersey , Fla. — The Tampa Bay Lightning earned a division title by a single point on the final day of the regular season, but even the top seed in the Eastern Conference only did them so much of a favor.

The Lightning open the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs on Thursday against a New Jersey Devils team that swept them in three regular-season meetings, presenting a real challenge as Tampa Bay hopes to start a deep postseason run.

New Jersey is in the playoffs for the first time since losing in the 2012 finals, so many of the Devils players are new to the energy and urgency of playoff hockey. The Lightning don’t want to make that out to be too tremendous an advantage.

“Experience is what you make of it,” said Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper, whose team missed the playoffs last year but made the finals and conference finals in 2015 and 2016. “Naturally, it’s good to have gone through some of these situations before Authentic Joaquin Benoit Jersey , but I look at our team in 2015, we didn’t really have much experience and we were able to get through.”

The Devils have had a playoff mindset for weeks, battling for the last wild card in the East, and coach John Hynes said that intensity makes for a natural carry-over to the actual playoffs ahead.

“The fact that we were able to play that type of hockey, really had to push and play our way in has strengthened our belief,” Hynes said. “You can’t match the intensity of the playoffs in the regular season, just because it’s a little more physical and a little more tightly contested and everybody’s all in on every game.”

All three regular-season meetings were one-goal games Authentic Frans Nielsen Jersey , the first going to New Jersey in a shootout. The Lightning have a healthy respect for Devils left winger Taylor Hall, who leads the team with 39 goals and 54 assists.

Tampa Bay’s Nikita Kucherov matched Hall’s 39 goals, but he has a much stronger scoring complement around him. New Jersey has only one player with 25 or more goals, while Kucherov has Brayden Point (32), Steven Stamkos (27) and rookie Yanni Gourde (25), making them harder to defend with threats on multiple lines.

The Lightning have the league’s top scoring offense, but also have a vulnerability on the penalty kill Cheap Clive Walford Jersey , where they ranked 27th in the league, stopping only 76 percent of opponents’ power plays. New Jersey’s power play ranked 10th in the NHL, and presents another threat, having scored an NHL-best 12 short-handed goals.

Both goalies are relatively young and inexperienced in the playoffs — Tampa Bay’s Andrei Vasilevskiy, still just 23, has a 4-5 record in 12 postseason appearances, while New Jersey’s Keith Kinkaid Ravens Anthony Averett Jersey , 28, will be making his playoff debut.

The series begins in Tampa — where the Lightning tied for third-most home wins with 29 this season — with games on Thursday and Saturday before shifting to New Jersey for the next two games.
