COLUMBUS Authentic Troy Niklas Jersey , Ohio (AP) Pierre-Luc DuBois had not scored a shootout goal in his entire career.

Until he got to the NHL.

DuBois scored his first shootout goal on his first attempt, lifting the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 2-1 win against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night.

It was Columbus’ 11th consecutive home victory over Philadelphia dating to 2008. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 30 shots for his 20th win.

The Flyers dropped their second in a row and third in the past four games. Brian Elliott made 35 saves.

Columbus jumped in front on Seth Jones’ seventh goal of the season at 17:08 of the first period. Philadelphia was whistled for too many men on the ice and Jones sent a shot through traffic for the power-play score.

The Flyers tied it in the second. Defenseman Ivan Provorov trailed the rush and scored off a shot from above the left circle at 3:56 for his fifth on the year.

Philadelphia dominated puck possession in the second Arden Key Jersey Elite , and Jakub Voracek appeared to put the Flyers ahead 2-1 with 1:39 left. But the goal was waved off for a high stick.

”It was a hardworking game for us,” Provorov said. ”We competed for 65 minutes. We had scoring chances. Just couldn’t put the puck in the net.”

DuBois beat Elliott on the goaltender’s stickside in the tiebreaker.

NEW YORK (AP) Curtis McElhinney is getting more comfortable as his career progresses Martavis Bryant Jersey Elite , and it’s been showing on the ice.

The veteran backup stopped 25 shots for his second shutout of the season and seventh of his career as the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the New York Rangers 4-0 on Thursday night.

”I just feel like I’m getting better and better,” said the 34-year-old McElhinney, who is in his second season with Toronto after spending the previous four with Columbus. ”I feel certainly more comfortable about my game than where I did five years ago.”

McElhinney is now 5-4-0 in nine starts this season and lowered his goals-against average to 2.25 – the lowest of his career in a season while making more than one start.

James van Riemsdyk, Patrick Marleau, Zach Hyman and Justin Holl scored for the Maple Leafs in their second straight shutout and fourth straight win. Toronto also completed a sweep of the three-game season series with the Rangers.

It came one night after Frederik Andersen had 25 saves in a 5-0 win at home against the Islanders Adidas Marc-Andre Fleury Jersey , giving Toronto back-to-back shutouts for the second time this season. The Maple Leafs extended their shutout streak to 142 minutes, 17 seconds since Dallas’ Tyler Seguin scored late in the second period of Toronto’s 4-1 win last Thursday.

”We did a great job in front of the net,” McElhinney said. ”The biggest takeaway from the game tonight and even the last one was smart decisions with the puck at the blue line.”

Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock likes how his team has played lately, improving to 7-2-3 in their last 12 and sitting three points behind second-place Boston in the Atlantic Division.

Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist was pulled early in the second period after giving up four goals on 13 shots. Ondrej Pavelec came on and stopped all 19 shots he faced. New York, shut out for just the second time this season, has lost eight of its last 12.

The Rangers were playing for the first time since winning at San Jose last Thursday in their last game before the All-Star break, but coach Alain Vigneault didn’t want to use the layoff as an excuse.

McElhinney had two nice saves on Rick Nash about six minutes into the third, first on a shot from the right circle and then a tip attempt in close six seconds later. McElhinney also denied Jimmy Vesey in front midway through the period.

Marleau scored 52 seconds into the middle period off a rebound of a shot by Nazem Kadri for his 17th.

Hyman took a pass from William Nylander, skated in on Lundqvist and went forehand to backhand before putting it in from the left side for his 10th at 3:05 to make it 4-0 and chase Lundqvist.

Holl got Toronto on the board 8:42 into the game as his shot from the right side beyond the faceoff circle beat Lundqvist, who was being screened by Hyman, and rang off the left post and in. It was the defenseman’s second career goal – and second in two nights after being called up from Toronto of the AHL for his NHL debut Wednesday.

The Maple Leafs made it 2-0 when van Riemsdyk put a backhand past Lundqvist for his 20th with 4:37 left.

LAS VEGAS (AP) The Las Vegas Stadium Authority has signed the final documents necessary to build the future home of the Raiders.

Team President Marc Badain and authority chairman Steve Hill signed the lease and development agreements on Wednesday for the $1.8 billion Authentic Hayden Hurst Jersey , 65,000-seat stadium that also will serve as home to the UNLV Rebels.

The two shook hands before Hill declared, ”Let’s build a stadium.”

The move came a day after NFL owners voted 31-1 to approve the stadium plans and financing, including a $200 million loan from the league. The domed stadium is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 1 Authentic Shea Weber Jersey , 2020.

The Raiders have said that the total cost of the move from Oakland to Las Vegas, including a training facility and headquarters, will top $2 billion.

The signing of the lease agreement – more than a year in the works – clears the way for the Clark County Commission to consider issuing construction bonds for the project. A total of $750 million in Clark County hotel room tax revenue will go toward the project.

As part of the deal, the 62-acre stadium site that the Raiders purchased last year for $77.5 million is scheduled to be transferred to the Stadium Authority on Friday.

The climate-controlled stadium where the team wants to kick off the 2020 season will feature 80-foot-tall retractable doors that will give fans a view of the casino-resorts on the Strip. TORONTO — The Toronto Maple Leafs will be trying to set a club record of 46 wins in a season on Monday night when they play the Buffalo Sabres.

It will be the first of two meetings at the Air Canada Centre between the teams after they split two in Buffalo this month.

The teams are going in different directions. The Maple Leafs sit third in the Eastern Conference and are gearing up for the playoffs. The Sabres set their sights on next season.

The Maple Leafs (45-23-7) extended their home winning streak to 13 games Saturday night when they defeated the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 and tied the club record for wins in a season at 45.

They previously won 45 games in a season in 1998-99 Authentic Henrik Lundqvist Jersey , 1999-00 and 2003-04. They also have tied the franchise record for home wins in a season at 26.

“It’s nice and you want to win every night at home,” Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock said. “I don’t spend a whole lot of time thinking about that stuff. I just said we’re trying to get prepared.

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins play their final game before an off week Sunday at PPG Paints Arena.

Pittsburgh (21-19-3) is a more modest 5-5 in its past 10. It has been stuck in a pattern of following a big win with a miserable performance.

Most recently, the Penguins had one of their flatter games Thursday in a 4-0 loss at home against Carolina Cheap Mike Remmers Jersey , then on the turnaround got a four-point night from captain Sidney Crosby in a dominant 4-0 road win Friday against the New York Islanders, a game they might finally be able to build on.

“He’s the best player in the league,” Sprong said of Crosby. “I just try to find open space and try to put myself in a good spot, and when I get the puck I just try to look for him and let him make the plays. The Penguins are expected to face Boston goaltender Tuukka Rask, who is 12-0-1 in his last 13 starts and hasn’t lost in regulation since Nov. 26.

Pittsburgh’s goalie situation is a little murkier. The Penguins did not practice Saturday, and it’s unclear which goalie will start Sunday.

Although Lynn speaks warmly of his two seasons in chilly Buffalo, he hasn’t thought much about the Bills (5-4) this season before their imminent arrival at StubHub Center to face his Los Angeles Chargers (3-6) on Sunday.

”I interviewed there, and they went a different direction,” said Lynn, who spent 2015 as the Bills’ running backs coach and most of 2016 as their offensive coordinator.

”I didn’t think I was the favorite there anyway, because how many times do you hire a guy from the staff when you fire the head coach? It doesn’t happen too often. I did appreciate the interview, but I’m where I want to be.”

Although the Bills won 15 games over their two seasons, Lynn and head coach Rex Ryan couldn’t figure out how to end a playoff drought currently sitting at 17 years.

Lynn’s brief tenure after Ryan’s firing included the awkward task of benching Tyrod Taylor for the finale without being able to publicly explain the reasoning of then-GM Doug Whaley and owner Terry Pegula for the move.

New Bills coach Sean McDermott coincidentally made the same move earlier this week, benching Taylor in favor of Nathan Peterman . The rookie fifth-round pick will make his first NFL start against the Chargers and their phenomenal pass-rushing duo of Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram.

McDermott’s Bills are in playoff position with seven games to go Authentic Markus Wheaton Jersey , but he’s also struggling to figure out how to get the most out of a team with 23 players from last season’s team. Peterman is his latest attempt to generate a spark.

QB QUESTION: Philip Rivers is recovering from symptoms of a concussion , which he reported after the Chargers returned from Jacksonville with a heartbreaking overtime loss , their fifth by eight points or fewer this season.

Although Rivers appears to be progressing well through the NFL’s concussion protocol, Lynn realizes his availability could be in question right up to game time.

If Rivers can’t play Colts Nyheim Hines Jersey , Kellen Clemens would make his first NFL start since 2013. ”In the backup position, you prepare the same way every week,” Clemens said. ”You enjoy playing, but I understand my role. I’m here to help Philip and help this team in any capacity possible.”

SLIPPING: After getting off to a strong start under McDermott, the Bills are in jeopardy of making what’s become a familiar late-season fade during the longest active non-playoff streak in North America’s four major professional sports.

This marks the eighth time during the drought in which the Bills have had a winning record through nine games (all of them 5-4). They have proceeded to lose the 10th game the past six times. Buffalo hasn’t been 6-4 since 2000 – the year the drought began.

STALLED OFFENSE: While the Bills have their own concerns on offense leading to a quarterback change, the Chargers are struggling to explain several unimpressive efforts by an offense with ample talent, including Rivers and a solid group of receivers.

Los Angeles is 25th in the league in points, 22nd in yards on first down, and 29th in third-down efficiency Authentic Jack Eichel Jersey , only reaching the red zone 20 times all season. Lynn and offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt aren’t addressing the problems with personnel changes – not yet, anyway.

The veteran lost carries last week to rookie Austin Ekeler, who rushed for two scores before committing a key fumble. Lynn said both will play against Buffalo.

TRASHED: The Bills made a big offensive change, but the defense is smarting after giving up 47 points last week to New Orleans in their worst defensive game since 2012.

Buffalo has forced only one turnover in its two consecutive losses after forcing 17 during the 5-2 start. Rivers has thrown seven interceptions, and that’s actually an improvement from last season.

But so far the Panthers seventh-year quarterback has been mediocre in the postseason, something he hopes to improve upon when the Panthers visit the Saints on Sunday in the NFC playoffs.

Newton is 3-3 all-time in the postseason, with his last playoff game culminating in an emotionally devastating 24-10 loss to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.

Outside of a riveting performance in a 49-15 win over the Arizona Cardinals in the 2015 NFC championship game, Newton’s statistics in the postseason have been average. He has completed just 59.7 percent of his passes for eight touchdowns and seven interceptions. He’s run for only two TDs, both of those coming in the playoff rout of the Cardinals.

”This is when the real football starts,” Newton said after Wednesday’s practice. ”This is where you’re made or you’re broke – and I look forward to these moments because it brings out the best in the individual because there is so much pressure. And we all know pressure does one of two things. We’re hoping to shine like diamonds on Sunday.”

The Saints (11-5) have already defeated Carolina (11-5) twice this season Cheap Jason Sanders Jersey , including a 31-21 victory on Dec. 3.

But that doesn’t bother the NFL’s 2015 league MVP, who is expecting to bounce back from the worst statistical game of his game of his career in a 22-10 loss last Sunday at Atlanta.

His quarterback rating of 31.5 in a 22-10 loss to the Falcons was the worst of his 109 career starts. He misfired on his first nine passes and had three second half interceptions. Yet he believes the problems in that game are easily fixable and the Panthers can rebound and rediscover the mojo that helped them win seven of eight games before the Falcons fiasco.

”It just wasn’t clicking,” Newton said. ”And it was internal. So self-inflicted things and that’s never good for you. … Protecting the football is important and I have to do a way better job of doing that.”

This isn’t first time the Panthers have battled adversity, which isn’t lost on the former Heisman Trophy winner who won a national championship at Auburn.

Even Panthers coach Ron Rivera referred to this as a ”tumultuous” season.

The Panthers endured the off-field distractions from get go with the firing of general manager Dave Gettleman on the eve of training camp. That was followed by the midseason trade of No. 1 wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin, the negative feedback from Newton’s sexist comments to a female reporter and the alleged sexual and racial misconduct surrounding team owner Jerry Richardson, who now plans to sell the team.

And that doesn’t even include the injuries which kept three-time Pro Bowl tight Greg Olsen and two-time All-Pro center Ryan Kalil out of most of the season.

Newton said the Panthers have learned to ”weather the storm Authentic Claude Giroux Jersey ,” which has brought them closer together as a team.

Carolina’s wide receiving corps remains a muddled mess and the Panthers still don’t appear to have a defined role for rookie running back Christian McCaffrey. But Olsen will play against the Saints for the first time this year giving Newton more options, and running back Jonathan Stewart (back stiffness) and guard Trai Turner (concussion) are expected back from injuries this week.

But the reality is the Panthers will only go as far as Newton can take them in the postseason.

Not only is he the Panthers’ leading passer, he’s also their leading rusher.

”We get Cam Newton playing fast, we’re a dangerous offense,” Panthers offensive coordinator Mike Shula said.

”We’ve got to keep Cam from trying to run all over the field, try to make him be more of a pocket passer Cheap Martinas Rankin Jersey ,” said Saints defensive tackle Tyeler Davison.

Saints defensive lineman Sheldon Rankins said the Saints have been able to throw Newton off the last two games by disguising coverages and giving him multiple looks. Newton has two TD passes and three interceptions in two games against the Saints which the Panthers have lost by a combined margin of 65-34.

”Not allowing him to get a bead on where the coverage is rolling down to, who’s coming, who’s not, different stunts up front,” Rankins said. ”If you can always keep Cam on his toes, it definitely gives you the best chance to win.”

Rivera said he expects Newton to play well.

”He’s a guy that tends to bounce back after a tough outing Cheap Markus Wheaton Jersey ,” Rivera said. ”We had a tough outing. He’s going to prepare, be ready. We, as a football team, will prepare and be ready.”

NEW YORK (AP) Terrelle Pryor is hoping for a Big-Apple bounce-back with the Jets.

The former Washington wide receiver signed with New York after one disappointing season with the Redskins.

The Jets announced the signing Sunday. Terms of the deal http://www.minnesotavikingsteamonline.com/kendall-wright-jersey , which were agreed to on Thursday night, were not immediately known.

Pryor had free agent visits with both New York and Seattle, and also had interest from Cleveland, before he agreed to sign with the Jets.

”I’m so happy to be a part of this organization and this team, this young team,” Pryor said in a video posted on the team’s Twitter page . ”I’m excited. It’s time to get to work. Jet up!”

Pryor, who turns 29 in June, gives the Jets some depth at wide receiver, where they also have Jermaine Kearse, Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson Chiefs Derrick Nnadi Jersey , along with second-year pros Chad Hansen and ArDarius Stewart.

Anderson’s status is uncertain, however, after he was arrested in Florida in January on several charges, including threatening a police officer’s family and saying he would rape the officer’s wife. He was also arrested last May and charged with resisting arrest after sparring with officials who asked him to leave a Miami music festival.

His hearing has been postponed until August.

”I am really hopeful Robby will put this thing behind him and be the kind of all-around person that will make people proud to wear (his) No. 11 jersey,” Jets acting owner Christopher Johnson said Sunday at the NFL meetings.
