SANTA CLARA http://www.chicagobearsteamonline.com/james-daniels-jersey , Calif. (AP) When the 49ers take the field Sunday against the Giants, they could have three defensive rookies starting who began the season as backups.

That’s just the way their 0-9 season has gone.

The youth movement in Kyle Shanahan’s first season as coach began on offense, with rookie C.J. Beathard taking over under center from Brian Hoyer.

That theme is continuing on the other side of the ball, starting with No. 3 pick Solomon Thomas at defensive end, cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon and safety Adrian Colbert.

Along with promising linebacker Reuben Foster Authentic Nate Solder Jersey , who’s expected to make his fourth career start, the rookie quartet will be given an opportunity to develop together as the rebuilding project unfolds in the second half.

”You can never be afraid to play a young guy. Ever,” defensive coordinator Robert Saleh said. ”Will you have lumps with them learning along the way? I do believe so.”

Those lumps have led to the longest losing streak to begin a season in franchise history. But it’s been clear since the spring that this season was going to be about building for the future, which means allowing young players to find their footing with extensive playing time.

”How can you get that young guy to play like a veteran? He has to play,” Saleh said. ”The more they play http://www.minnesotavikingsteamonline.com/mike-remmers-jersey , the quicker as a staff we can get those guys to play like veterans while they’re youthful. With all that speed and juice that they just got out of college, that’s how you get those fast, explosive defenses that you’ve seen in this scheme.”

Thomas returned to practice this week after sustaining a knee injury Oct. 29 in Philadelphia. He’s taken over the starting job with veterans Tank Carradine and Arik Armstead on injured reserve. Witherspoon, a third-round pick, was made a full-time starter when Rashard Robinson was traded at the deadline to the New York Jets.

Colbert Authentic Carlton Davis Jersey , a seventh-round pick, will be the team’s third starting free safety this season. Both previous starters, Jimmie Ward and Jaquiski Tartt, are done for the season after they both fractured forearms in consecutive games.

Witherspoon appreciates the chance to grow with his fellow rookies.

”There’s definitely some connection out there with them,” Witherspoon said. ”It’s something we want to build on for now and as well as the future. We believe we can be contributors for this organization. So we just want to keep bonding with another Authentic Derrick Nnadi Jersey , keep getting better with one another.”

NOTES: Running back Carlos Hyde was fined by the NFL for his role in a fight that broke out against the Cardinals on Sunday that led to his ejection. Hyde took exception to a hit on Beathard as he slid during a scramble. General manager John Lynch gave Hyde a high-five on the sideline as he headed to the locker room after the altercation with Arizona lineman Frostee Rucker. ”I think he was just more hyped about me sticking up for my quarterback, sticking up for my teammates,” Hyde said.

LOS ANGELES (AP) Former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Jonathan Martin Cheap Isaac Yiadom Jersey , who has struggled with mental health issues after a 2013 bullying scandal that shook the NFL, was taken into Los Angeles police custody Friday after a threatening Instagram post on his account mentioned two former teammates who had harassed him.

Martin was being questioned by investigators after the post showed a shotgun and referred by name to the private Harvard-Westlake prep school in Los Angeles that he once attended, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press. The official was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

The post also included mentions of the Instagram usernames of former Miami Dolphins players Richie Incognito and Mike Pouncey and said suicide and revenge were the only options for a victim of bullying, the official said.

The Harvard-Westlake prep school was evacuated earlier Friday after officials were made aware of the post. It was not immediately clear whether Martin posted the photo himself and he was not under arrest Friday afternoon.

Martin left the Miami Dolphins midseason in 2013 after accusing teammates of bullying. An NFL investigation found that Incognito, Pouncey and teammate John Jerry engaged in persistent harassment directed at Martin.

RALEIGH Authentic Cody Latimer Jersey , N.C. (AP) – The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired center Derick Brassard from Ottawa on Friday night in a three-team deal that sent defenseman Ian Cole to Ottawa and forward Ryan Reaves to the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Penguins announced the deal Friday night during their 6-1 victory at Carolina, with Pittsburgh general manager Jim Rutherford calling it ”the most complex trade I’ve made” because of salary cap issues and the involvement of a third team.

The Senators also received goalie Filip Gustavsson and the Penguins’ first-round draft pick this year as well as their third-round selection next year. Pittsburgh also acquired a pair of prospects – forward Vincent Dunn from Ottawa and forward Tobias Lindberg from Vegas – plus Ottawa’s third-round pick this year.

Vegas also received a fourth-round pick this year, and is retaining 40 percent of Brassard’s salary. According to the Penguins, Brassard is signed through next season with an average annual salary of $5 million.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Memphis point guard Jeremiah Martin has a broken left foot that will force the Tigers to play the rest of the season without the American Athletic Conference’s leading scorer.

The 6-foot-3 sophomore will undergo surgery Tuesday and is expected to be out six to eight months. Martin was averaging 18.9 points Cheap Sylvester Williams Jersey , 4.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and a league-best 2.3 steals per game.

He was injured hurt Thursday during Memphis’ 91-85 victory over No. 23 Houston . Memphis coach Tubby Smith announced the severity of Martin’s injury Friday.

Memphis (17-11, 8-7 American) has three regular-season games remaining. The Tigers next play Sunday at Connecticut (13-15, 6-9).

BASEBALL

NEW YORK (AP) – Baltimore third baseman Jaime Estrada and Los Angeles Angels pitcher Andrew Vinson have been suspended without pay for the first 50 games of the season under baseball’s minor league drug program.

Estrada was suspended for a positive test for Strychnine, the commissioner’s office said Friday. The 22-year-old spent the last two seasons with the Orioles’ Gulf Coast League team and hit .240 with one homer and three RBIs in 50 at-bats over 23 games last year.

Vinson was suspended for a second positive test for a drug of abuse. The 24-year-old right-hander Cheap B.J. Hill Jersey , a 10th-round draft pick from Texas A&M two years ago, was 9-11 with a 4.58 ERA in 25 starts last season for Burlington of the Class A Midwest League.

There have been 21 players suspended this year under the minor league program and three under the major league program: Houston pitcher Dean Deetz, Washington catcher Raudy Read and Pittsburgh pitcher Nik Turley

NEW YORK (AP) – The United States Tennis Association and popular Canadian player Eugenie Bouchard reached a settlement in her liability lawsuit on Friday, ending a trial at which she testified about slipping and falling on a wet locker room floor at the 2015 U.S. Open and suffering a head injury.

Asked how she felt as she left the courthouse, Bouchard responded Authentic Clive Walford Jersey , ”Just relief and happiness right now,” adding she was ready to get back to playing tennis.

She said she felt ”vindicated” by a jury’s verdict in an initial phase of the trial finding the USTA mostly liable for the accident.

A second phase, at which Bouchard was expected testify about how the accident had harmed her career and the jury was to decide what damages the USTA should pay, was interrupted on Friday by several hours of closed-door talks between the parties. They emerged with the deal but declined to disclose the terms.

USTA lawyer Alan Kaminsky said that he was satisfied with the outcome and that the sport’s national governing body ”certainly wishes Ms. Bouchard the best in her career.”

ASHBURN Lions Kerryon Johnson Jersey , Va. (AP) Rookie defensive lineman Jonathan Allen isn’t returning to the Washington Redskins lineup any time soon, a blow to their revamped defense but one they believe they can survive.

The team put the first-round pick on injured reserve Thursday after he underwent surgery to repair a Lisfranc sprain in his left foot. Coach Jay Gruden said there’s ”absolutely” a chance Allen can return this season despite the usually long timeframe to get back from this kind of operation.

”We got better news after the surgery that it wouldn’t be as lengthy as some of these surgeries typically are,” Gruden said. ”That’s good news, but we still have to rehab it. He’s a big man and sometimes bigger guys take a little bit longer but we’ll wait and see.”

Article continues below ...

The Redskins now have Allen and kicker Dustin Hopkins on IR and by NFL rules can bring up to two players back before the season is over. They signed A.J. Francis to the practice squad and then the active roster to fill Allen’s spot.

Allen, the 17th overall pick out of Alabama, played well in his first five NFL games Authentic Kendall Wright Jersey , registering 10 tackles and a sack and providing plenty of pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

”Jonathan is an extremely talented guy,” second-year defensive lineman Matt Ioannidis said. ”He has incredible potential, incredible talent.”

Gruden likes that Allen plays ”like a veteran” despite his youth and lack of experience.

”He’s got strong hands and he was getting a pretty consistent pass rush push,” Gruden said Monday. ”He doesn’t have a lot of sacks obviously, but he was getting push in the pocket which was critical for the interior guys so the edge guys can get home.”

Allen’s injury puts more of an onus on Ioannidis and Anthony Lanier to take on bigger roles. Ioannidis, a 2016 fifth-round pick Seahawks Rasheem Green Jersey , has thrived already with more playing time and is tied for second on the team with 3.5 sacks.

Lanier has made some strides since Washington signed him as an undrafted free agent before last season, so much that veteran teammates think he can keep the Redskins from missing a beat without Allen.

”He has all the ability in the world and he’s capable of doing the same job if not better,” defensive lineman Ziggy Hood said. ”We believe that he’s going to have a good game (Monday at Philadelphia) because we trust him.”

After the defense missed at least four sacks of Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz in a 30-17 loss in Week 1, the line has settled in to a strong rotation of Hood, Ioannidis, Allen and free agent additions Stacy McGee and Terrell McClain. Lanier now gets thrown into that Cheap Tracy Walker Jersey , and coaches are eager to see how he delivers after getting stronger in the weight room.

”We’ll see how it translates on game day,” Gruden said. ”He will be a part of the rotation, not just on third down. He might have to play some early downs. He is a guy that hopefully is getting better not just at rushing the passer, but playing the run.”

NOTES: LT Trent Williams (knee) did not practice, but after he played through injury against the 49ers he’s expected to play again Monday. … CBs Josh Norman (rib) and Bashaud Breeland (knee), RB Rob Kelley (ankle) http://www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com/arden-key-jersey , S Deshazor Everett (hamstring), LB Ryan Anderson (back) and S Stefan McClure (knee) were limited participants. … Gruden said Backup OL Tyler Catalina is in the concussion protocol. … With Hopkins out, the team signed K Nick Rose on Wednesday. Gruden said Rose, an undrafted 23-year-old out of Texas, made all his field goals and was the best of four kickers who worked out this week.

KANSAS CITY Authentic Taron Johnson Jersey , Mo. (AP) Marcus Mariota did everything he could to help the Titans advance in the playoffs, throwing a crazy touchdown pass to himself , running for crucial first downs and providing the kind of spark that Tennessee needed to rally from a 21-3 halftime hole.

Heck, he even threw a crucial block on the run that clinched the game.

It all added up to a heart-stopping 22-21 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, the first postseason win for the Titans in 14 years and one that will provide some relief – for the week, at least – for embattled coach Mike Mularkey and his remarkable bunch of underdogs.

Article continues below ...

”Special,” said Mariota, whose 205 yards passing included the go-ahead 22-yard strike to Eric Decker with six minutes left. ”I’m part of a great team. I’m part of a group of guys that really believe in each other. And it’s something special.”

Now, the Titans will find out Sunday whether they’re headed to New England or Pittsburgh next.

Derrick Henry added a career-high 156 yards rushing and another score for Tennessee (10-7) Authentic Fred Warner Jersey , while a defense fileted by Alex Smith and the Chiefs (10-7) in the first half pitched a shutout in the second half – dooming the Kansas City franchise to another humiliating postseason defeat.

The Chiefs haven’t won a home playoff game since January 1994.

”I’m in shock,” Smith said. ”The swing at halftime to the final whistle, definitely a shock. Yeah. Didn’t feel like we played up to how we’re capable of playing and that’s disappointing.

Smith threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns , but most of that came before halftime. He couldn’t get going in the second half and misfired on fourth-and-9 at the Titans 44 with just over two minutes to go, denying the Chiefs a chance for Harrison Butker to kick a go-ahead field goal.

Adding to the depression? Henry appeared to fumble as Tennessee tried to run out the clock.

The Chiefs’ Derrick Johnson picked up the ball and returned it for a touchdown with 1:47 to go, and the crowd went wild as fireworks shot off over Arrowhead Stadium. But a replay clearly showed Henry down, the call was overturned and Tennessee succeeded in running out the clock. Mariota threw a block that helped spring Henry for a 22-yard gain on third-and 10 late that helped finish off the comeback.

”Grit. It’s just grit,” Henry said. ”We told them we’ve got 30 minutes left, all we’ve got to do is play our game. Execute the plays and everything will take care of itself.”

In the first half 49ers Weston Richburg Jersey , the Chiefs looked every bit the team that had won four straight in convincing fashion, and the Titans looked every bit the team that backed into the playoffs.

Kareem Hunt, the league’s top rusher this season , plunged in from 1 yard for a 7-0 lead. Smith hit Travis Kelce, who later left with a concussion, with a 13-yard touchdown pass. And he added another TD toss to Demarcus Robinson on the final offensive play for a 21-3 lead at the break.

”We were feeling good,” Johnson said. ”We came in 21-3 and that’s all we were talking about: `Finish. Don’t get complacent. We have bigger goals than this game.”’

But it was the Titans who finished, and it was Mariota who led the way. He capped a 91-yard TD drive to start the second half in the bizarre fashions: Mariota threw a TD pass to himself.

His throw to the end zone was batted right back at him by Darrelle Revis, and Mariota hauled it in and dived for the goal line. It was the first time a player has thrown a TD pass to himself in the playoffs Authentic Tracy Walker Jersey , and the first time in any game since the Vikings’ Brad Johnson during the 1997 season.

”Right place, right time,” Mariota said with a smile.

Tennessee nearly squandered its momentum when Adoree Jackson fumbled a punt, but the Chiefs were unable to pick up a first down and Butker knocked a 48-yard field goal off the upright. And the Titans capitalized when Henry rumbled nearly untouched 35 yards for a touchdown a few minutes later.

The Chiefs’ offense had been rendered impotent by that point, unable to move the ball after Kelce left with a concussion in the first half. And the Titans blanketed Tyreek Hill whenever he touched the ball, and they stacked the box to slow Hunt down in obvious rushing situations.

Finally, the Titans pulled ahead on Mariota’s strike to Decker, and that led to more controversy from the officials. Tennessee went for a 2-point conversion and a field-goal edge, Mariota fumbled as he was getting sacked and Frank Zombo scooped up the ball for two points the other way.

But the officials had blown the play dead Authentic Mike Hughes Jersey , ruling Mariota’s progress had been stopped, and the Titans retained the slimmest of margins – one that would stand up to the final whistle.

”I feel really good around our football team,” Mularkey said. ”I know what I’m going to get from them every week. That’s a good feeling, knowing how they’re going to come out, no matter what.”

OFFICIAL COMPLAINTS

The Chiefs also complained about the officials blowing their whistles on a play late in the first half, when Mariota fumbled while getting sacked. He clearly lost the ball and the Chiefs picked it up, but the play could not be reviewed. Tennessee wound up kicking a field goal.

RECORD RALLY

Only two other road teams have rallied from at least 18 down to win a playoff game in NFL history. The Cowboys came back from 21-3 in the first half to beat the 49ers 30-28 in December 1972, and the Lions came back from 27-7 in the second half .

EAST RUTHERFORD Authentic Da'Ron Payne Jersey , N.J. (AP) New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules.

The suspension takes effect immediately, meaning Jenkins will miss Sunday’s home game against the Rams.

Jenkins was told Tuesday he was suspended. Coach Ben McAdoo said he will review the status of the suspension next week.

Article continues below ...

Jenkins is the second Giants cornerback to be suspended this month. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was suspended on Oct. 10 after he left the team’s facilities before a practice. Rodgers-Cromartie missed the team’s Oct. 15 game at Denver Authentic Donte Jackson Jersey , where the Giants won 23-10. He returned to the team the following week.

The Giants returned to practice Monday after their bye week and Jenkins wasn’t with them. McAdoo said he had been excused for personal reasons.

”At that point, neither myself nor any of the coaches had heard from Jackrabbit Authentic Cordy Glenn Jersey ,” McAdoo said in a statement. ”I did not speak with him directly until Tuesday morning.”

McAdoo added: ”As a member of this team, there are standards and we have responsibilities and obligations. When we don’t fulfill those obligations Authentic Jerome Baker Jersey , there are consequences. As I have said before, we do not like to handle our team discipline publicly. There are times when it is unavoidable http://www.chicagobearsteamonline.com/james-daniels-jersey , and this is one of those times.”

EDEN PRAIRIE Cheap Korey Toomer Jersey , Minn. — In most cases, the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings would take a strong look at their Week 1 matchup as they prepare for Sunday’s NFC playoff game.

In this case, what happened in that Sept. 11 opener is indicative of the teams meeting in Minnesota for the second time this year.

Both teams underwent significant changes since the Vikings’ 29-19 victory.

Article continues below ...

Minnesota quarterback Sam Bradford completed 27-of-32 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns in the first meeting, earning NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. Bradford played only a single half the rest of the season as Case Keenum replaced the injured Bradford and put himself in MVP consideration.

New Orleans jettisoned former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson after a miserable four-game run and thrived with Mark Ingram and rookie Alvin Kamara, becoming one of the league’s most dangerous running back duos. The Saints’ defense also started to find its way.

“They’re a different team than they were Week 1, but so are we,” said Minnesota tight end Kyle Rudolph, who scored a touchdown in the first game. “Everyone in the NFL is trying to find their identity early on. They’re different from a personnel standpoint and they’re also different from a team, like us Authentic Nick Nelson Jersey , who has found their identity.”

The teams found their identity but had plenty of personnel changes along the way. The Vikings’ defense is healthy, but Keenum has taken hold of the starting quarterback spot and rookie running back Dalvin Cook, who ran for 127 yards and a touchdown in the first meeting, has been out since Week 4 because of a torn ACL.

“There are some similarities in regards to scheme, but I think when you go through a course of an NFL season and you look at the attrition that takes place, there are eight or nine of our starters that are playing in that game that aren’t playing in this game, and I’m sure the same exists for Minnesota,” New Orleans coach Sean Payton told reporters this week, according to the team’s website. “And you begin to take shape as the season progresses to who you become and I think both teams have done that.”

In the Saints’ case Cheap Tracy Walker Jersey , they altered their offensive identity to rely on Ingram and Kamara. New Orleans ranked fifth in the league in rushing this season as Ingram ran for a career-high 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns. Kamara led the league with 6.1 yards per carry as the Saints had an NFC-best 4.7 yards per carry as a team.

Peterson had six carries for 18 yards in the first meeting in Minnesota. With the carries being split three ways, Ingram had six carries and Kamara touched the ball 11 times on offense.

“They got a little bit of everything,” Vikings defensive end Brian Robison said. “Ingram’s more of a downhill runner. Kamara is definitely a guy that can bounce to the outside. He’s got speed to hit the edge and they’re both really good in the screen game.”

The Vikings were second in the league in run defense, allowing 83.6 yards per game. They’ve held two of their past three opponents to fewer than 46 yards.

Selling out to stop the run isn’t a solid strategy either. In last week’s win against Carolina, the Saints ran 22 times for 41 yards as the Panthers dared New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees to beat them.

Brees had 376 passing yards and two touchdowns, and receivers Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn each had more than 100 yards receiving against the Panthers.

“We’ve been telling y’all all year, man, don’t sleep on Drew Packers JK Scott Jersey ,” Ingram told the New Orleans Times Picayune. “And if you’re going to stack the box and try and stop the run and take us out the game, he’s going to hurt you. We’ve been telling you he’s the best quarterback in the league and he’s still Drew Brees. He proved that (Sunday).”

Perhaps the biggest change for the Saints has been the development of the defense. After allowing 470 total yards to Minnesota in Week 1, New Orleans gave up 555 to New England the following week. Slowly, communication improved on the back end combined with the play of rookie Marcus Lattimore and Ken Crawley at cornerback.

The Saints were third in the NFL and first in the NFC with 20 interceptions in the regular season. Lattimore led the team with five.

“He’s a good player,” Vikings Pro Bowl receiver Adam Thielen said of Lattimore. “He’s physical. He can run with anybody. He’s playing with a lot of confidence right now. He’s got great ball skills. He’s pretty much got everything you need to be a really good corner in this league.”

New Orleans also pressures the passer. Cameron Jordan tied Minnesota’s Everson Griffen for fourth in the league with 13 sacks. As a team, the Saints’ 42 sacks were tied for seventh in the NFL.

Like Brees, Keenum didn’t make mistakes once replacing Bradford. He threw seven interceptions, one fewer than Brees, and the Vikings allowed the seventh-fewest sacks in the league behind a patchwork offensive line.

“He is playing well Authentic Cordy Glenn Jersey ,” Payton told the team’s website of Keenum. “You can see him getting the ball to a lot of different guys. These guys, I think, have done a great job on offense. I think they are playing a game really that suits both sides of the ball.”

Minnesota should head into Sunday healthy, including the return of rookie center Pat Elflein from a shoulder injury.

New Orleans is battered. Left guard Andrus Peat and defensive tackle Tony McDaniel were placed on injured reserve this week. Receiv.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Bradley Chubb would normally be content relying on game tapes to make his case to scouts.

There http://www.minnesotavikingsteamonline.com/mike-remmers-jersey , he insists, they will find a big man with edge-rushing skills and enough power to stuff the run. Watch enough of footage and it just might convince those NFL executives that Chubb is the best defensive player in this year’s NFL draft.

But this is no typical week for North Carolina State’s star defensive end. He’s participating in the NFL’s annual scouting combine in Indianapolis, answering questions and dropping names.

Article continues below ...

”I try to take Khalil Mack and Von Miller and put them into one person,” Chubb said Saturday. ”I’m a high-motor, high-energy guy.”

If team executives concur, his name could be one of the first three called in April.

Naturally, Chubb describes himself as the best player in Indy this weekend and who’s going to argue with a 6-foot-4, 269-pound man.

Not the deep Authentic J'Mon Moore Jersey , diverse quarterback group, which did its on-the-field workouts Saturday and will likely spend the next few years trying to escape Chubb’s grasp.

Not the highly touted running back class, which includes Saquon Barkley and Chubb’s own cousin, Nick, who will be running away from a lineman who posted 25 sacks and 54 tackles for loss over the past three seasons.

Sure, there are questions.

Is he big enough to hold up against the NFL’s massive tackles, does he have enough moves to make an immediate impact, can he make a smooth transition to the more physical pro game?

He might also be asked to explain why he spat upon the Florida State logo following North Carolina State’s upset win or why he decided to skip the Wolfpack’s bowl game.

Those who know Chubb best have no doubt he will succeed.

”He’s so happy Authentic Keke Coutee Jersey , always smiling,” said offensive tackle Will Richardson, a college teammate who routinely squared off with Chubb in practice.

”He’s a goofball. We used to get grapes after a game and he would come over and knock them out of your hands and someone would be like `Why did you do that?’ But he always had a few extra grapes in his other hand to give to you. He’s definitely a goofball, a goofball in a good way.”

Many believe there’s nothing goofy about him being possibly the best pass-rusher in a draft heavy on interior linemen – and thin at one of the NFL’s most coveted positions.

Those challenging Chubb’s title include Marcus Davenport of UTSA, Sam Hubbard of Ohio State, Arden Key of LSU and Harold Landry of Boston College.

Each had college careers that ranged from solid to spectacular, and each knows they must answer questions about size, injuries or the competition level they’ve faced.

”Nobody in this draft class has a first step like mine Giants B.J. Hill Jersey ,” Landry said. ”My mindset and my approach to the game, I’m a guy that’s going to do whatever it takes to be the best at my position.”

But those who played alongside Chubb understand his impact cannot be measured in stats alone.

”We got to win more games,” college teammate and combine invitee Justin Jones said. ”Having a guy like Bradley Chubb on the edge, it turns a lot of plays back to us and the rest of the team. They want to take Bradley out of the game, and we have other (defensive) linemen that can make plays.”

Chubb appears to have the size to play right away, room to grow and even bloodlines working in his favor.

His father, Aaron, played at Georgia. His older brother Cheap James Daniels Jersey , Brandon, starred at Wake Forest before being signed by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2016 and spending most of that season on the Detroit Lions‘ practice squad.

So if things fall the right way, Bradley Chubb could become the highest-drafted descendant of the family that established ”Chubbtown” – a rural area in northwestern Georgia, three miles from the Alabama border- in the mid-1800s.

And that’s an honor Chubb would treasure.

”When you’re there, you feel it,” he said. ”My last name is Chubb, and I wear it with pride.”

JACKSONVILLE Authentic Byron Maxwell Jersey , Fla. (AP) Of all the wild and wacky ways to win or lose a football game, this one has to be high on the list.

The Los Angeles Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars delivered one of the strangest finishes in the NFL this season, maybe in years.

They followed a mistake-filled final two minutes of regulation with more miscues in overtime.

They made poor decisions and questionable plays on both sides of the ball.

The Jaguars (6-3) ended up winning 20-17 on Josh Lambo’s 30-yard field in the extra period. The victory was Jacksonville’s third straight and ended a six-game losing streak to the Chargers (3-6).

But getting to that point was a roller-coaster ride of ridiculousness, a closing stretch in which neither team looked like it wanted to win.

”Crazy!” Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers said. ”We had the ball twice under two minutes and with a lead and didn’t end it. That’s the part that hurts the most.”

It started right after the two-minute warning:

– Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles throws into double coverage on a second-and-4 play. Safety Tre Boston intercepts the tipped pass, and the Chargers (prematurely) start to celebrate.

– Trying to pick up a first down and run out the clock on the ensuing drive, Rivers takes a delay-of-game penalty on first down.

– On the next play, rookie Austin Ekeler – who’s subbing for starter Melvin Gordon – fumbles in the backfield. Defensive tackle Malik Jackson delivers the hit  , and safety Tashaun Gipson picks up the loose ball and runs for an apparent 35-yard touchdown. Officials review the play and rule Gipson was touched down.

– Chargers safety Trevor Williams gets flagged for pass interference on the ensuing play, putting the Jaguars in field-goal range.

– Two plays later, Jaguars receiver Marqise Lee gets flagged for taunting. Lee thinks the defense was getting called for unnecessary roughness, and he reacts by dancing in the direction of the defenders. Instead, his 15-yard penalty knocks the Jaguars out of field-goal range.

”I probably celebrated a little bit too much,” Lee said. ”At the end of the day, I’m not changing any type of emotion in this game. That’s a fact.”

– On the ensuing play Patriots Danny Shelton Jersey , Bortles overthrows Lee down the field. The ball lands in Boston’s hands for his second interception in five plays. Boston inexcusably runs out of bounds at the Chargers 10-yard line. He has plenty of green grass in front of him, but steps out and starts celebrating. Jacksonville has three timeouts remaining, plenty of chances to stop the clock and get the ball back.

”That was one of the dumb things,” Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said. ”Never seen it before.”

– Gordon runs three straight times, fails to pick up first down and Chargers punt with 1:08 to play.

– Bortles completes consecutive passes to Allen Hurns and Jaydon Mickens. Hurns injures his right ankle on the 6-yard catch and smartly crawls out of bounds to avoid a 10-second runoff with about 30 seconds remaining.

”I think it speaks to not only his toughness but how smart of a football player he is,” Bortles said. ”He was able to recognize the situation that we were in, knowing that we had no timeouts.”

– Bortles throws incomplete on the next play Authentic Johnny Townsend Jersey , but Joey Bosa gets flagged for roughing the passer with 24 seconds remaining. The 15-yard penalty turns what could have been a 50-plus-yard field goal into essentially an extra point. Lambo drills a 34-yarder three plays later to send the game into overtime.

– Jacksonville punts to start the extra period, but Rivers gives it right back when A.J. Bouye wrestles a deep pass away from Travis Benjamin. It’s Jacksonville’s first interception against Rivers since 2010.

– Bouye returns the interception to the 2-yard line, but fellow cornerback Aaron Colvin gets called for taunting. Instead of a chip-shot field goal for the win, Lambo has to line up for a 35-yarder.

”I put an O-lineman on his (butt) on that play and I was just talking trash,” Colvin said. ”I didn’t feel what I did was that bad, but I can’t do that. I essentially could have cost my team the game. It won’t happen again.”

– As Lambo lines up for the winning kick, the Chargers try to make the Jaguars jump. Instead Saints Rick Leonard Jersey , the Chargers are flagged for delay of game. That makes Lambo’s final kick 5 yards shorter.

”I’m exhausted right now,” Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said. ”I’m shot. I’m shot. … I’m living and dying on every single play with every call that we have. So after the game is over, I’m shot.”
