SELVA DI VAL GARDENA Tyquan Lewis Super Bowl LI Jersey , Italy (AP) With the Pyeongchang Olympics less than two months away, a pair of young skiers who consider themselves ”brothers” shook up the struggling U.S. downhill team on Saturday.

Jared Goldberg finished a career-best ninth in the Saslong Classic downhill and teammate Bryce Bennett wasn’t far behind in 11th.

Goldberg recorded the speed squad’s first top-10 result of the season after six super-G and downhill races.

Article continues below ...

Team captain Steven Nyman, a three-time winner on the Saslong who is working his way back from knee surgery, couldn’t have been prouder.

”They’re establishing themselves in the top 30 and hopefully into the top 20 and keep chipping away and push for a podium,” Nyman said after tying with teammate Wiley Maple for 41st in his season debut. ”This will be a big confidence boost for those guys and that’s what we need on the American Downhiller crew right now and for them in the future.”

Earlier this week, Goldberg sought out advice from Nyman.

The next day, Goldberg led the opening training run.

”I’m super proud of Jared Adidas Sergei Bobrovsky Jersey ,” Nyman said. ”He was super inquisitive about the course to me this year and I just pointed a lot of stuff out and told him, `This is how you got to do it. This is where you go and you have the abilities and just be confident and throw yourself over that terrain with confidence and vigor and you’ll take a lot more speed than all the other guys, because most people are hesitant.”’

A training agreement with the Norwegian team also helped. It meant that Goldberg got to hear a course report from race winner Aksel Lund Svindal.

”He’s just a really calm person to hear on the radio,” Goldberg said. ”He knows what he’s talking about.”

At 26, Goldberg has always shown promise inbetween an Achilles’ heel injury and some back problems – like when he had the third-fastest run in the downhill portion of the combined at the 2015 world championships in Beaver Creek, Colorado.

He grew more confident when he won a FIS race ahead of a world-class field at Copper Mountain, Colorado Randall Telfer Jersey Elite , last month.

”So I knew that my speed was there. It was just a matter of staying calm and staying loose over the terrain,” Goldberg said. ”The nice thing is now that I’m running in the top 30 I have a cleaner course and I can get away with pulling off a more difficult line.”

Goldberg often rooms with Bennett.

”He’s like my brother. We’re both only children,” Goldberg said. ”We’re both very calm people and we’re out here for the right reasons – to have fun. We don’t take it too seriously ever. We just ski, that’s it. So we’re on the same wavelength of chillness.”

Goldberg was born in Boston and learned to ski in Killington, Vermont, before his family moved to Utah when he was four. Bennett is part of a large contingent of U.S. skiers from Squaw Valley, California.

At 6-foot-7 (2 meters) Authentic Royce Freeman Jersey , Bennett has the long limbs to absorb the myriad bumps and terrain on the technical ciaslat section of the Saslong. But he needs to improve his technique on the flats.

”It’s tough for me to stay aerodynamic through that gliding terrain,” Bennett said. ”That’s a piece of the puzzle I’m going to have to figure out for the future.

”But I’m psyched for Goldie, because we’re best friends, teammates. I got the chills,” Bennett added. ”Jared’s a goofy dude. Ask him to do impersonations for you. His (President Donald) Trump one right now is unbelievable.”

Meanwhile, it was a tough day for the squad’s veterans as Travis Ganong, a two-time winner on the circuit Wholesale Bryce Petty Jersey , finished 39th, and two-time Olympic super-G medalist Andrew Weibrecht sat out with a bothersome knee.

Up next, Ted Ligety will be expected to lead the team on Sunday and Monday in a giant slalom and parallel GS in Alta Badia, where he has won twice.

PITTSBURGH — Two of the NHL’s hottest clubs clash Saturday night at PPG Paints Arena.

The Pittsburgh Penguins (33-22-4) Authentic Rasheem Green Jersey , who have won three games in row overall and 10 straight at home, host the Toronto Maple Leafs (39-19-5), who have a five-game winning streak.

The Maple Leafs’ streak came during a five-game homestand, and now they go on the road and into something of a hornets’ nest, but coach Mike Babcock is looking forward to the challenge.

Article continues below ...

“Any time you have five in a row at home Wholesale Trent Murphy Jersey , you’re always worried maybe it’s too long of a stretch. Our guys did a real good job,” Babcock said Friday. “That’s all over with. Now we’ve got an opportunity to go play Pittsburgh. We’re excited for that opportunity and plan on being good.”

Toronto is 4-1-0 in its past five games against Pittsburgh, including a 4-3 road win on Dec. 9.

The Penguins, struggling to stay above the playoff line at times early in the season, have come on strong. They are 14-4-1 since Jan. 1 and have moved into second place in the Metropolitan Division.

“It’s no surprise that they’re in the mix again Wholesale Dorance Armstrong Jr. Jersey ,” Maple Leafs leading scorer Auston Matthews said of the Penguins, winners of the past two Stanley Cups. “I think everybody kind of figured that would happen.”

That includes the Penguins.

“I think we’ve found our game,” Pittsburgh winger Phil Kessel said. “We’re playing good hockey. … We’re scoring some goals again.”

Both clubs are proficient offensively. The Maple Leafs are fourth in goals with 193, and the Penguins ranked fifth with 183 before Friday’s games.

“They have that one ability — similar to what we have here — to score goals,” said Toronto defenseman Ron Hainsey Adidas Sergei Bobrovsky Jersey , a former Penguins player.

The Maple Leafs’ scoring is a bit more balanced, led by Matthews (47 points). Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kessel are among the league leaders with 66 points each.

Crosby has a home point streak (10 games) that matches his team’s home winning streak, totaling 20 points. Kessel has 18 points during the home winning streak. Malkin has 25 points in his past 12 home games.

Crosby said there’s no internal competition among the Penguins’ big three to finish with the team — or even the league — lead.

“We’re just trying to produce and win games,” he said. “If we’re contributing Sam Hubbard Jersey Elite , then that’s good for our team.”

Kessel was more to the point: “I just play. I think that’s always how I’ve been. … We’re all good buddies here. We don’t really care about (internal competition). We’re here to win.”

There’s a style similarity between Pittsburgh and Toronto, with both relying on a speed game.

“It’s just going to be who does a better job of getting out of their own end,” Crosby said. “Both teams try to forecheck well and spend time in the offensive zone. We’re going to have to try to get out of our zone quick and play in their end. That will be a big challenge.”

GREEN BAY Adidas P.K Subban Jersey , Wis. (AP) An offseason of change for the Green Bay Packers has been met with occasional displeasure by quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

At the Super Bowl, Rodgers called it ”interesting” that the Packers replaced quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt ”without consulting me.” Also that week, he spoke of the possibility he might have to finish his career elsewhere, like predecessor Brett Favre.

In the wake of the Packers’ decision to release his close friend Jordy Nelson on March 13, Rodgers added ”it’s pretty clear that players play and coaches coach and personnel people make decisions (and) that’s the way they want it.”

Article continues below ...

Rodgers took a more measured tone with reporters on Tuesday at Lambeau Field. On the first day of Green Bay’s offseason program, Yahoo! Sports reported that sources close to Rodgers say the quarterback had grown ”frustrated” by the team making such big moves without consulting him, and that the lack of input could factor into negotiations toward a contract extension.

”I know my role Derwin James Jersey Elite , and that’s to play quarterback the best that I can,” Rodgers said. ”The team is going to try to put the right guys in place, the right coaches in place, the right players in place. You just have to trust the process. This process works, and it has worked for (coach) Mike (McCarthy) for a number of years. Obviously, that’s why he’s still here in his 13th season. We’ve had a lot of success here, and you’ve got to trust the process.”

The release of Nelson was especially hard on Rodgers. Nelson was a second-round draft pick in 2008 Wholesale Phillip Gaines Jersey , the same year Rodgers ascended into the starting role. They connected on 65 touchdown passes, the most by a quarterback-receiver duo in franchise history. Their on-field connection was born from an off-the-field bond.

”This is a professional environment, but as humans we have personal connections to people,” Rodgers said. ”Obviously, he was one of my closest friends in the locker room for a number of years. We played together for a long time and talked about really finishing his career here and together. The disappointment is when you get close to your teammates, and they’re not here anymore – and especially when they’re not here, they’re playing somewhere else. But the organization is making decisions that they feel like are in best interest for our team and you’ve got to trust the process.”

Part of that process was replacing offensive and defensive coordinators and making rare splashes into free agency by adding tight end Jimmy Graham and defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson.

Rodgers and Graham have known each other for yearWholesale Marcus Davenport Jersey , but will be learning a revamped offense together.

”It’s all about these days right here, especially when we start catching and running routes,” Graham said. ”It’s about making sure I’ve got the offense down so he has a lot of confidence in me, and he knows that I know what’s going on and that we’re kind of in the same steps. And then from there, you basically try not to drop anything ever. And then he’ll start liking you.”

While Graham and Rodgers try to build chemistry, the team and Rodgers will try to hammer out a contract extension. General manager Brian Gutekunst and Packers President Mark Murphy have said it’s a priority to extend Rodgers’ deal set to expire after the 2019 season. With Kirk Cousins (Minnesota), Jimmy Garoppolo (San Francisco) Authentic Jonathan Allen Jersey , Drew Brees (New Orleans) and Alex Smith (Washington) signing big contracts in the offseason, Rodgers has fallen to ninth among quarterbacks with an average salary of $22 million.

Rodgers said ”it’s never been about” becoming the highest-paid player in the league. He wouldn’t say whether he and agent David Dunn would push for a fully guaranteed contract like Cousins signed with the Vikings. Rather, Rodgers said the key will be structuring the deal that works for both parties under the constraints of the salary cap.

”I’m under contract for the next two years,” Rodgers said. ”Obviously, we’d like to lock something in at some point. The team has made it public knowledge that they’d love to do that. I’ve said I’d love to finish my career here. There’s more than mutual interest on both sides.”

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Claude Giroux carried the Philadelphia Flyers into the playoffs.

The Hart Trophy candidate might be the reason they get knocked out in the first round if he can’t become the force the Flyers need to have a chance against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Only six years ago Barkevious Mingo Jersey Elite , Giroux was dubbed ”best in the world” by former coach Peter Laviolette after he posted six goals and eight assists in six games and a rare playoff series win over the Penguins. Playing in a major market, Giroux was on his way toward NHL superstardom.

Article continues below ...

Six years later, the Penguins have won two Stanley Cups, the Flyers haven’t advanced out of the first round and Giroux’s standing as one of the NHL’s best has wildly fluctuated: The 30-year-old followed two mediocre seasons with a career year this season, reaching personal highs in goals (34), assists (68) and points (102). He added a hat trick on the final day.

His production has again vanished in the playoffs.

The Flyers captain has no goals and one assist in three games – the Penguins hold a 2-1 series lead headed into Game 4 (7 p.m. EDT Wednesday, NBCSN) – in a postseason slump that dates to 2014. He again had no goals and one assist in six games against Washington in 2016 and scored two goals in seven games in 2014 against the New York Rangers. Giroux’s last playoff goal came on April 29 Wholesale Roquan Smith Jersey , 2014.

In the Game 3 loss to Pittsburgh, Giroux took four shots on goal and led the Flyers with 10 shot attempts – four on goal, one that was blocked and five that missed.

”There’s a lot of hockey left to play here,” Giroux said. ”I have no doubt that we’re going to come out strong in Game 4.”

Jake Voracek and Wayne Simmonds (who dropped from 31 goals in 2017 to 24 this season) are also scoreless for the Flyers.

”Our team’s got to elevate our play overall,” coach Dave Hakstol said. ”There’s nothing drastic that needs to be done.”

That didn’t stop Hakstol from mixing up his lines at practice Tuesday, when Sean Couturier was injured. There was no immediate word on his status.

The Flyers have hit these rough patches before, losing 10 straight games over November and December before bouncing back to land in the postseason.

”Our guys have been through similar situations Wholesale Natrell Jamerson Jersey ,” Hakstol said. ”This one’s just a little bit more elevated.”

The Penguins will play Game 4 without Patric Hornqvist, who has a goal and two assists in the series and is out with an undisclosed injury. He was on the top line with Sidney Crosby in Game 3 and was third in the league in power-play goals this season. Hornqvist was checked from behind into the boards by Philadelphia’s Andrew MacDonald in Game 3.

CLOSE IT OUT

Only four NHL teams have taken a 3-0 series lead like San Jose has over Anaheim and lost a best-of-seven series. The Sharks just happen to be one of them, having collapsed against the Los Angeles Kings four years ago in the first round. That’s one reason why the Sharks head into Game 4 at home against the Ducks (10:30 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Golf Channel) with a sense of urgency to close out this series.

”Enough has happened in this room where I think we understand the challenges that still lie ahead of us,” captain Joe Pavelski said. ”We want a good start, we want to come out and put it on the line. We’re going to have to earn this next game for sure.”

The Sharks have controlled the series, outscoring Anaheim 14-3 following an 8-1 victory in Game 3. Anaheim allowed four power-play goals as the Ducks lost their composure as well as the game.

”I mean Wholesale Adrian Clayborn Jersey , we got to win a game,” captain Ryan Getzlaf said. ”Our focus has got to be to win that Game 4 and that’s all we can do.”

SPIRITED PRACTICE

Nashville turned up the intensity in practice Tuesday, complete with some light hitting and vigorous battles for the puck in front of goaltender Pekka Rinne.

This is a reason for the stepped-up pace: Being outscored by a 5-0 margin by Colorado in the first period of the series.

”Today was a perfect practice for that. It wasn’t about easing into practice,” said Predators defenseman Ryan Ellis, whose team leads the Avalanche 2-1 heading into Game 4 (10 p.m. EDT Wednesday, NBCSN). ”It was about going full speed into practice right away. We need that to translate into the game.”

Colorado went through an optional practice and had defenseman Samuel Girard on the ice wearing a non-contact sweater. He has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury.

TRUST THE … PROGRESS?

Tampa Bay holds a 2-1 series lead over New Jersey headed into Game 4 (7:30 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Golf Channel). But New Jersey’s 5-2 win over the Lightning on Monday was at least a sign that the Devils should trust the … progress?

The Devils are owned by Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment Adidas Frans Nielsen Jersey , the same company that also owns the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers. Team owner Josh Harris attended the 76ers’ Game 2 loss in Philadelphia on Monday.

Under Harris’ watch, his teams can orchestrate a turnaround. The 76ers, accompanied by the now-familiar ”Trust The Process” slogan, went from 10 wins two seasons ago to 53 and the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference this year while the Devils made a stunning run from the worst team in the East to the postseason in a year.

All the Devils need is a catchphrase.

LENZERHEIDE Ryan Jensen Super Bowl LI Jersey , Switzerland (AP) Mikaela Shiffrin ended her six-race winning streak in World Cup slaloms Sunday when she stunned her rivals by skiing off course with a lead of a full second in sight of the finish.

Shiffrin lost rhythm and balance going into a straight combination with six gates left, handing victory to Petra Vlhova of Slovakia in the last slalom before the Pyeongchang Olympics.

Originally listed as a ”Did Not Finish” by race organizers, Shiffrin hiked back up the hill, paused and passed through the gate before skiing slowly down.

Article continues below ...

The American star was given 27th place, almost 14 seconds behind Vlhova Vita Vea Super Bowl LI Jersey , in her final World Cup race before going to South Korea for the Olympics. After Shiffrin started 2018 with five straight wins in World Cup events, her winless streak is now six.

Vlhova looked shocked in the finish area to have her first victory since November, when Shiffrin was runner-up at Levi, Finland, for her only other loss this season.

Vlhova finished 0.10 seconds ahead of Frida Hansdotter of Sweden Wholesale Ed Dickson Jersey , and 0.52 clear of third-placed Wendy Holdener of Switzerland.

”I am really sorry for Mikaela,” said Vlhova, who missed the podium in the four previous World Cup slaloms. ”I won and I’m really happy because I needed this. I was in crisis a little bit.”

Still, Shiffrin retained her big leads in the World Cup overall and slalom standings. Holdener is second overall and Vlhova second in the slalom standings.

It was the final World Cup slalom before the Feb. 14 medal race at the Pyeongchang Olympics where Shiffrin will defend her title. She is also the reigning world champion and World Cup season-long champion in the discipline she dominates.

Shiffrin already planned to skip a World Cup parallel slalom event in Stockholm on Tuesday and two downhills next weekend at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.

It completed a difficult weekend for Shiffrin at Lenzerheide where she enjoyed one of her greatest career days in 2013. Then Nate Solder Super Bowl LI Jersey , at the World Cup finals, a remarkable and fast second run ensured she edged Tina Maze for her first season-long slalom title at age 18.

On Saturday, Shiffrin placed just seventh in a giant slalom that included an especially steep and twisting start to each run.

Shiffrin said Sunday the previous day’s race left her ”pretty heartbroken” to confront the limits of her technical skills in giant slalom.

“That’s a hard thing to stare at straight in the face,” Shiffrin said, speaking after she took a clear lead in the first slalom run. After another cautious start Sunday morning Hayden Hurst Jersey Elite , she raced down the bottom half to be 0.65 faster than second-placed Holdener.

Another slalom win – a 34th in World Cups for the Olympic and three-time world champion – seemed assured until a rare mistake took Shiffrin off the podium for the first time in more than a year.

The Latest on Week 4 of the NFL (all times EDT):

10:10 p.m.

The Indianapolis Colts have a 15-10 lead over the Seattle Seahawks at halftime on Sunday night thanks to a solid first half from Jacoby Brissett.

Article continues below ...

Brissett was 14 of 20 for 142 yards and an 18-yard touchdown to Donte Moncrief with 25 seconds left in the half. Brissett’s one mistake was an underthrown pass that Justin Coleman intercepted and returned 28 yards for Seattle’s only touchdown.

The Colts have outgained Seattle 205-140 in the first half and have nearly doubled the Seahawks in time of possession.

Russell Wilson was sacked for a safety in the first quarter and Seattle’s offense has been mostly stagnant. Blair Walsh missed a 37-yard field goal on the final play of the first half.

8:35 p.m.

Nine Seattle Seahawks players sat on the bench during the national anthem before Sunday’s game against Indianapolis.

Defensive end Michael Bennett continued his stance of sitting during the anthem Adidas Johnny Gaudreau Jersey , but was joined by the entire Seahawks defensive line and linebacker Michael Wilhoite.

The linemen who sat were Bennett, Cliff Avril, Frank Clark, Sheldon Richardson, Marcus Smith Adidas Bo Horvat Jersey , Jarran Reed, Garrison Smith and Nazair Jones.

Offensive linemen Justin Britt and Oday Aboushi stood next to the sitting players.

There were scattered boos when the anthem ended and the players stood. Last week Seattle remained in the locker room during the anthem.

The Colts all stood on the sideline with arms interlocked during the anthem.

7:15 p.m.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin was active for Sunday night’s game against Indianapolis despite being listed as questionable due to a groin injury.

Baldwin looked to be moving without issue during early pregame warmups. Baldwin strained his groin late in Seattle’s loss at Tennessee last week. Baldwin is Seattle’s leading receiver with 20 catches for 212 yards and one touchdown. No other Seattle wide receiver has more than nine receptions.

The Seahawks were down two running backs with C.J. Prosise and Thomas Rawls inactive. Prosise has an ankle injury, while Rawls was a healthy scratch. Chris Carson and Eddie Lacy will get the bulk of the carries.

6:40 p.m.

Giants defensive linemen Oli Olivier Vernon and Damon Harrison have left New York’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Vernon is done for the day with an ankle injury. Harrison has a bruised knee, and his return is described as questionable. Running back Paul Perkins is questionable to return with a rib injury and center Weston Richburg is being evaluated for a concussion.

The Bucs have reported one injury during the game. Safety Keith Tandy left in the third quarter with a hip injury and is questionable to return.

6:00 p.m.

The San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals are trading field goals in the desert.

San Francisco’s Robbie Gould and Arizona’s Phil Dawson each have kicked two field goals, leaving the score at 6-all at halftime.

Gould made kicks of 49 and 39 yards Adidas Jaromir Jagr Jersey , while Dawson hit from 29 and 43 yards.

Arizona had a TD pass from Carson Palmer to Andre Ellington overturned upon review in the second quarter and Palmer also threw an interception in the end zone on Arizona’s opening drive.

5:25 p.m.

The Minnesota Vikings might have lost their standout rookie running back for the season.

Dalvin Cook left in the third quarter with an injury to his left knee, and coach Mike Zimmer says the team is concerned about his ACL. Cook will have an MRI test to determine the extent of the damage. The second-round draft pick from Florida State had his knee buckle under him after planting his leg on the turf and trying to make a cut.

Cook fumbled on the play, and the Lions went the other way for the go-ahead touchdown in a 14-7 victory.

Latavius Murray took over at running back for the Vikings. Cook was second in the NFL in rushing entering the week.

4:10 p.m.

Half of the San Francisco 49ers took a knee during the national anthem before their game against the Arizona Cardinals in a show of unity and the other half stood.

Because the 49ers played on Thursday last week, this was their first game since President Donald Trump criticized NFL players for not standing during the anthem.

Just before anthem, San Francisco’s players lined up in two rows Adidas Mika Zibanejad Jersey , those in the front kneeling, those in the back standing. Most of the standing players had their hands on their hearts and the other on the shoulder of their teammate in front.

San Francisco was the epicenter for such displays during the anthem last year when former quarterback Colin Kaepernick started it in response to police brutality and racial injustice.

All players appeared to be standing for the national anthem before the Eagles faced the Chargers. Philadelphia defensive backs Rodney McLeod and Malcolm Jenkins raised their fists, but nobody else made a gesture. Dozens of Chargers linked arms, just as they did last week.

3:45 p.m.

The Atlanta Falcons played the second half against Buffalo without starting receivers Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu.

Jones, a two-time All-Pro Adidas Steven Stamkos Jersey , suffered a hip flexor late in the second quarter and walked into locker room under his own power. Sanu left the game in the third quarter with a hamstring injury.

Jack Crawford, a reserve defensive tackle, hurt his bicep and did not return.

The Falcons’ injury list to starters was significant before the day began.

CALGARY D.J. Fluker Jersey Elite , Alberta (AP) Nobody has scored more overtime goals than Calgary’s Sean Monahan since he entered the NHL in 2013.

Monahan’s latest came Saturday night, when he scored 59 seconds into extra time to give the Flames a 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, snapping a six-game winless streak.

TJ Brodie waited patiently before dropping the puck into the slot for Monahan, who made no mistake burying his team-leading 24th of the season past Jeff Glass on the blocker side.

Article continues below ...

”When you’re out there with guys like Johnny (Gaudreau) and (Brodie) and you find yourself open, you’re going to get the puck,” said Monahan, whose 10 overtime goals in his four-plus seasons equals Alexander Ovechkin. ”The goalie had my number all night so I was happy to put one by him.”

Glass said he didn’t see it.

”I lost it through the screens. Unfortunate break or good play by their player Paul Worrilow Jersey Elite , whatever way you want to look at it, but I just couldn’t get eyes on it,” said the Chicago goaltender.

Matt Stajan, Johnny Gaudreau and Michael Frolik also scored for Calgary, which was 0-2-4 during its skid. Mike Smith stopped 25 shots.

It was an important victory for the Flames, who play Chicago again on Tuesday as they open a six-game road trip.

”I forgot what it felt like, especially here Authentic Johnny Townsend Jersey ,” quipped Flames coach Glen Gulutzan, whose club had gone 0-2-3 in its previous five on home ice. ”It’s good for your mindset. That’s the biggest thing we’re going to get from this game, especially heading out onto the road. That feeling and that little bit of swagger.”

Nick Schmaltz, Vinnie Hinostroza and Anthony Duclair scored for Chicago, which went 2-1-1 on a four-game trip. Glass finished with 35 saves.

”Having the lead in the third and giving it up, we’re definitely not satisfied with getting one point,” said Hinostroza. ”This one’s going to be sour for a night Authentic Donte Jackson Jersey , but we’ve got to put it behind us, and come back and give it our all.”

Calgary tied it 3-3 at 9:50 of third period when Frolik fired a wrist shot past Glass after a pretty setup by Mikael Backlund. It was the first goal since Dec. 20 for the veteran Czech, who returned two games ago from a broken jaw that had sidelined him for 12 games.

Chicago broke a 2-2 tie at 14:13 of the second on Duclair’s second goal since joining the Blackhawks in a trade with Arizona. Brodie bobbled the puck at the offensive blue line enabling Duclair to race away on a breakaway and beat Smith on the blocker side.

Trailing 2-0, Calgary got back to even on second-period goals from Stajan and Gaudreau.

Stajan got the Flames on the scoreboard at 5:56 as he was sprung on a breakaway by an alert pass from Travis Hamonic and put a shot inside the post on Glass for his second goal in two games and third in the last eight. Stajan had just one assist in the season’s first 34 games.

Just over five minutes later, Calgary pulled even when Gaudreau one-timed Micheal Ferland’s pass behind Glass for his 16th goal.

The Blackhawks took a 2-0 lead 1:53 into the second period on a power-play goal by Hinostroza. Set up neatly on a pass through the slot by Patrick Kane, it was the second such setup for the talented Chicago right wing who now has 499 career assists.

It was Kane with the setup on the first goal of the game, too. At 7:40 of the first period P.J. Hall Super Bowl LI Jersey , he found Schmaltz in open ice near the faceoff dot and Schmaltz fired a one-timer that Smith couldn’t handle.

NOTES: Calgary rookie Mark Jankowski, pointless in his last eight games, was a healthy scratch. He was replaced in the lineup by rookie Andrew Mangiapane, who sat out the previous five games. … The Flames also inserted D Matt Bartkowski, who had only played three of the previous 36 games. … Chicago made two lineup changes with ex-Flames Lance Bouma and Jan Rutta both suiting up after sitting the last five games.

LAS VEGAS (AP) After a lackluster loss two nights earlier Royce Freeman Super Bowl LI Jersey , the Vegas Golden Knights responded with an energetic performance in Game 5 to move one victory away from their second playoff series win, and a berth in the Western Conference final in their inaugural season.

Alex Tuch scored twice to lead Vegas to a 5-3 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Friday night, giving the Golden Knights a 3-2 series lead in their conference semifinal.

”We were physical, we were playing well, and it was a very good game by everyone,” Tuch said. ”Every game is a must-win, and at times in this series we kind of got away from that, especially Game 4 … but I thought we came out tonight and we had 20 guys working really hard. It was a strong game by everyone.”

James Neal, Erik Haula and Jonathan Marchessault also scored for Vegas. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 27 shots, making save after highlight save until things got interesting late in the third period.

With San Jose trailing 4-0 Troy Niklas Super Bowl LI Jersey , Kevin Labanc, Tomas Hertl and Boedker scored in a 6:09 span to pull the Sharks within one with 4:16 remaining. However, Marchessault’s empty-netter with 21 seconds left sealed it for Vegas.

”Fleury played really well and we left him out to dry a little bit in the third, but I thought we finished strong,” Tuch added.

From a spectacular glove save on Mikkel Boedker’s point blank shot in the first period, to a pair of back-to-back saves before and after being knocked into the goal midway through the second period, or an incredible pad save on Tomas Hertl early in the third, Fleury was dialed in from the start.

But it wasn’t until Marchessault’s long-range wrist shot that the 14-year veteran goalie was able o exhale.

”I had a great view, I was right behind it, it was great Marcus Davenport Super Bowl LI Jersey , I was so happy to see it going in,” Fleury said. ”It doesn’t matter when you get (wins) in a series, as long as you win. They’re all big. Obviously, it was nice to be home and get that win.”

Martin Jones allowed four goals on 31 shots before being pulled in the third. Aaron Dell came on and stopped all six shots he faced.

Game 6 is Sunday in San Jose.

After looking lethargic in a 4-0 loss in Game 4 on the Sharks’ home ice, the Golden Knights came out refreshed and looking more like the team that won Game 1 by a 7-0 final. Vegas set the tone in the first period, outshooting the Sharks 15-7, outhitting them 26-14, and taking a 1-0 lead.

”The other night we played okay, but it wasn’t good enough to win. You’re not gonna win many games in the playoffs if you don’t play your best hockey,” Vegas coach Gerard Gallant said. ”Tonight we came out for 50 minutes and played our best hockey and really set the tone. We got into some penalty trouble at the end and gave them a chance to get back in the game.”

Neal made sure the Golden Knights didn’t head into the locker room empty-handed after a strong first period. Logan Couture blocked Shea Theodore’s shot from the point Authentic Tre'Quan Smith Jersey , with the rebound going right to Neal, who drilled it past Jones to give Vegas the lead with 3 seconds left in the period.

Tuch made it 2-0 when he tapped in Reilly Smith’s rebound past Jones on the power play.

Jones may still be trying to figure out how Haula scored, as he threw the puck at the net from the goal line and it somehow slipped through to make it 3-0 midway through the second.

Tuch pushed the lead to 4-0 with an exquisite tip over Jones’ glove at 8:36 of the third, while ending the night for Jones.

The Sharks ended Fleury’s bid for a fourth shutout this postseason when Labanc sniped a wrist shot top shelf, glove-side for a power-play goal to make it 4-1 at 9:35. Less than two minutes later San Jose made things interesting when Boedker’s wraparound got loose, and Hertl was in the right spot to poke it in and cut Vegas’ lead to 4-2.

With a little more than four minutes left in the game, and Fleury sprawled out in front of the net behind a slew of traffic, Boedker picked up a loose puck and lifted it over the pile to make it 4-3.

”They came out hard and when you’re kind of feeding them that transition game, they’ll show you what they can do with it,” San Jose center Joe Pavelski said. ” When that score is within two or three Keke Coutee Super Bowl LI Jersey , you’re feelin’ it. We knew we had to get in there and create a little bit more. We felt we had a chance for sure. The game got better at the end, so that needs to continue now.”

NOTES: A record 18,693 filled T-Mobile Arena for Game 5. … Veteran D Luca Sbisa saw his first action since Feb. 27 for the Golden Knights, replacing Jon Merrill. … Vegas F Oscar Lindberg made his playoff debut, taking Tomas Tatar’s place on Cody Eakin’s line, while Ryan Carpenter also returned to the Golden Knights’ lineup, taking Tomas Nosek’s spot on Pierre-Edouard Bellemare’s line along with William Carrier.

NEW YORK (AP) Terrelle Pryor is hoping for a Big-Apple bounce-back with the Jets.

The former Washington wide receiver signed with New York after one disappointing season with the Redskins.

The Jets announced the signing Sunday. Terms of the deal Dante Pettis Super Bowl LI Jersey , which were agreed to on Thursday night, were not immediately known.

Pryor had free agent visits with both New York and Seattle, and also had interest from Cleveland, before he agreed to sign with the Jets.

”I’m so happy to be a part of this organization and this team, this young team,” Pryor said in a video posted on the team’s Twitter page . ”I’m excited. It’s time to get to work. Jet up!”

Pryor, who turns 29 in June, gives the Jets some depth at wide receiver, where they also have Jermaine Kearse, Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson Malik Jefferson Super Bowl LI Jersey , along with second-year pros Chad Hansen and ArDarius Stewart.

Anderson’s status is uncertain, however, after he was arrested in Florida in January on several charges, including threatening a police officer’s family and saying he would rape the officer’s wife. He was also arrested last May and charged with resisting arrest after sparring with officials who asked him to leave a Miami music festival.

His hearing has been postponed until August.

”I am really hopeful Robby will put this thing behind him and be the kind of all-around person that will make people proud to wear (his) No. 11 jersey,” Jets acting owner Christopher Johnson said Sunday at the NFL meetings.

”I haven’t talked with the coaches about Robby. I honestly think he is remorseful and trying to get himself in a better place. I believe him.”

Pryor signed a one-year, $6 million deal with Washington last year after having a breakout season with Cleveland in 2016, when he had 77 catches for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns in his first year as a full-time wide receiver. He was being counted on to replace the departed receiving duo of Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson, but injured an ankle in Week 2 and tried to play through it. He finished the year on injured reserve and had ankle surgery, ending the season with just 20 catches for 240 yards and one touchdown.

He had more than three catches in a game just once last year – in the season opener – and Washington allowed Pryor to leave as a free agent. The former Ohio State quarterback-turned-receiver now has a chance to return to form as a potential deep threat for the Jets in new coordinator Jeremy Bates’ offense.

This marks the latest stop in what has been a wild football journey for Pryor Michael Gallup Jersey Elite , who has also spent time with Oakland, Seattle, Kansas City and Cincinnati in the NFL.

Pryor, a top high school recruit from southwestern Pennsylvania, was the starting quarterback for Ohio State from 2008-10 and became one of college football’s most exciting players. He threw for 6,177 yards and 57 touchdowns and ran for 2,164 yards and 17 scores in three seasons with the Buckeyes.

But Pryor withdrew from Ohio State in June 2011 after a memorabilia-for-cash-and-tattoos scandal that resulted in a five-game suspension and ultimately led to coach Jim Tressel’s resignation. Two months later, Pryor was selected by Oakland in the NFL supplemental draft.

He played in just four games during his first two seasons with the Raiders, including one start at quarterback. Pryor started nine games in 2013 with shaky results, throwing for two TDs and 11 interceptions before being benched in favor of Matt McGloin following a sprained knee ligament earlier in the season.

Pryor was traded to Seattle before the 2014 NFL draft J'Mon Moore Super Bowl LI Jersey , but was among the Seahawks‘ final cuts. He sat out the entire season despite having workouts with several teams. Kansas City signed him in January 2015, but then released him five months later. Pryor briefly joined Cincinnati, but was again cut – and then announced that he would be willing to play wide receiver on a full-time basis.

Cleveland claimed Pryor off waivers and he played in three games for the Browns, who named him a starter at wide receiver the following season. Despite still being raw at the position, Pryor’s athleticism and versatility was on full display in 2016 as he led the Browns in receptions, yards receiving, TD catches, yards per game and yards per catch.

In a game at Miami, he became the first player since Hall of Famer Frank Gifford of the Giants in 1959 to have at least 120 yards receiving (144), 30 yards passing (35) and 20 yards rushing (25) in a game. He also played a snap at safety and became the first player since San Francisco’s Billy Kilmer in 1964 to have three catches Vinny Curry Jersey Elite , carries and passes in a game.

With the Jets, Pryor is reunited with two teammates from that Cleveland team: quarterback Josh McCown and running back Isaiah Crowell.

Pryor parlayed his promising season with the Browns into a nice payday with the Redskins, and things started off well as he had six catches for 66 yards in the opener. But his production was inconsistent from that point before the ankle injury ended his season – and, it turned out, his tenure in Washington – after Week 11.
