Rasmus Dahlin went first overall to the Buffalo Sabres Carolina Panthers Jerseys Womens , Commissioner Gary Bettman was booed relentlessly by the crowd all night and trade chatter didn’t amount to a whole lot of movement.

With the exception of one trade by the Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals, the first round of the NHL draft went off without many surprises. Only two players and a handful of picks were traded Friday night, leaving general managers hoping for more on Day Two.

”That was kind of a boring first day or first round,” Philadelphia Flyers GM Ron Hextall said. ”It’s not typical for this day.”

The Sabres picking Dahlin at No. 1 and the Carolina Hurricanes taking Russian winger Andrei Svechnikov at No. 2 got the draft itself off to a predictable start. Montreal taking Finnish center Jesperi Kotkaniemi third and Arizona going a bit off the board with center Barrett Hayton fifth allowed high-scoring Czech winger Filip Zadina to fall to Detroit with the sixth pick.

”I’m telling my agent if they will pass on me, I will fill their net with the puck,” Zadina said. ”I want to prove them that they have done 49ers Authentic Jerseys , like, bad decision.”

Not a whole lot of big decisions happened Friday night at American Airlines Center. The Sabres taking Dahlin was automatic since they won the draft lottery in April, and the 18-year-old wore a Buffalo Bills hat Friday prior to the selection. Svechnikov got to try on the Hurricanes’ draft hat before he was the No. 2 pick just as general manager Don Waddell acknowledged recently.

Dahlin is the second Swedish player to be taken No. 1 and the first since Mats Sundin in 1989. Sundin went on to a Hall of Fame career.

”It’s pretty crazy actually,” Dahlin said. ”He’s a legend in the hockey world. It’s kind of weird but amazing.”

GMs found it weird that there weren’t more trades consummated. A few teams swapped picks late in the first round, but the big shakeup came a half-hour before the draft when the Capitals traded veteran defenseman Brooks Orpik and backup goaltender Philipp Grubauer to the Colorado Avalanche for a second-round pick.

The trade netted Washington the 47th pick but most importantly cleared significant salary-cap space to attempt to re-sign pending free agent defensemen John Carlson and Michal Kempny. MacLellan said he was close to getting a deal done with Carlson, so he had to prepare.

”It’s hard to do Youth Buffalo Bills Jerseys , but we had to create some room to sign some players,” MacLellan said.

Grubauer was the first domino to fall in what could be a fascinating goaltending market. Ottawa’s Craig Anderson is reportedly available, and Columbus might have to make a decision on Sergei Bobrovsky if like winger Artemi Panarin the two-time Vezina winner isn’t willing to talk about a contract extension with just a year left before free agency.

The Capitals and Hurricanes discussed a trade for Grubauer that would’ve given Washington a higher second-round pick, but MacLellan opted to send the 26-year-old German to the Western Conference rather than giftwrap him for a division rival, and Colorado’s Joe Sakic was willing to take on Orpik’s salary to get Grubauer.

”We knew the asking price was high and we had the cap room that we can give cap flexibility for us to not have to give up more than we did,” said Sakic Colts Cheap Jerseys , who added he’ll look to trade Orpik or buy out the 37-year-old. ”We felt it was important to get Grubauer. We just like what he can do for us.”

The Sabres love what they’re getting in Dahlin, who should spark the rebuilding process for a team that has missed the playoffs in each of the past seven seasons. The smooth-skating playmaker was considered the consensus first pick for more than a year.

”It’s been a long waiting,” Dahlin said. ”You can’t really plan anything. Finally today I can plan my future. I love to call my new town Buffalo.”

After co-owner Kim Pegula made some opening remarks, general manager Jason Botterill announced Dahlin as the top pick. In the corner of the arena, Sabres fans in attendance chanted, ”Dahlin! Dahlin!”

Bills draft pick Josh Allen tweeted after the pick: ”Welcome to Buffalo (at)rasmusdahlin00! Can’t wait to watch you play Browns Elite Jerseys , wings on me later this summer.”

Dahlin will jump to the NHL right away and should help the club’s league-worst offense that contributed to its last-place finish. He had six assists in seven games at the world junior championships in Buffalo and put up 20 points in 41 games in Sweden’s top pro league this season.

This time Youth Denver Broncos Jerseys , LeBron James didn’t have to do it all by himself.

James had 26 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds for his 21st career playoff triple-double, J.R. Smith scored 20 points and the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Toronto Raptors 113-112 in overtime on Tuesday night to win Game 1 of their second-round playoff series.

Kyle Korver scored 19 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer in overtime after Cleveland never led in regulation. Tristan Thompson had 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who have eliminated Toronto in each of the past two postseasons.

”My teammates were unbelievable tonight,” James said. ”They stepped up when I wasn’t at my best.”

Jeff Green scored 16 points and Kevin Love had 13 rebounds.

James, who topped 40 points three times in seven games against Indiana in round one, shot 12 for 30 against Toronto, going 1 for 8 from 3-point range, and called it ”probably one of my worst games of the season.”

Still Vikings Game Jerseys , James came through when it counted, tying the score with two baskets in the final 92 seconds of regulation to complete Cleveland’s comeback from a double-digit deficit.

”It got to a one-possession, two-possession game,” James said. ”That’s what I like the most.”

Toronto’s Fred VanVleet missed a 3-pointer with 3.4 seconds to go in overtime that could have won it for the Raptors, who couldn’t hold on after taking a 10-point lead early in the fourth quarter.

”He got a heck of a shot,” Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan said. ”I’ll live with him shooting that shot 10 times out of 10. We got a good look and it just didn’t fall.”

Jonas Valanciunas had 21 points and 21 rebounds, Kyle Lowry had 18 points and 10 assists, and DeRozan scored 22 points for the Raptors, who host Game 2 on Thursday night.

The Cavaliers beat the Raptors in six games in the Eastern Conference finals in 2016 before going on to win their first NBA championship. Last year, Cleveland swept Toronto in the second round.

Korver’s 3 early in overtime gave the Cavaliers their first lead of the game Titans Authentic Jerseys , 108-105.

Lowry’s three-point play made it 113-112 with 57 seconds to go and, after the Cavs were called for a shot-clock violation, Toronto had one more chance to win, but VanVleet couldn’t come through.

”We feel good about the win but I think we were also very fortunate,” Korver said.

VanVleet was one of four Raptors to miss in the final seconds of regulation. Toronto got four looks at the potential winning basket but missed all four, including a wide-open 3 by VanVleet, giving Cleveland the ball with 0.6 seconds remaining. Green inbounded to James, but his shot bounced off the rim.

The Raptors shot 5 for 24 in the fourth quarter, with Valanciunas missing six of seven attempts. Toronto missed its final 11 shot attempts in regulation.

”I don’t know if it was nerves or yips or what,” Raptors coach Dwane Casey said. ”Just things that shot ourselves in the foot when we had a 10-point lead.”

DeRozan scored 11 points in the first Jaguars Authentic Jerseys , connecting on five of eight attempts, and Lowry had eight points and five assists as Toronto led 33-19. James was 3 of 5 in the first but the rest of the Cavs shot 4 for 18.

James, who averaged more than 41 minutes in Cleveland’s first-round series against Indiana, checked out with 3:31 left in the first. With James on the bench, the Cavs scored two points the rest of the quarter.

Green and Smith each scored 11 points in the second and the Cavs found their shooting stroke, connecting on 14 of 22 attempts. James had five assists in the period as Cleveland cut the deficit to 60-57 at halftime.

VanVleet took exception to a shove from James at the end of one play and made an attempt to get at the Cavs star, but was restrained by teammates.

Valanciunas had 13 points and eight rebounds in the third, but Korver scored 10 points and James had eight to keep the Cavs close. Toronto led 87-82 heading to the fourth.

”He was kicking our butt in the third quarter,” James said of Valanciunas. ”Luckily, I just felt like he wore down a little bit in the fourth.”

Sean Couturier did what he could to deal with the pain in his left leg Panthers Game Jerseys , then hopped over the boards and let the adrenaline that comes with playoff hockey take care of the rest.

The Philadelphia Flyers are still alive as a result.

Barely 72 hours removed from a frightening collision with a teammate in practice threatened to end his season, Couturier returned for Game 5 and threaded a shot through traffic that slipped past Matt Murray and into the net with 1:15 left to lift the Flyers to a 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night to send the series back to Philadelphia.

”I think it might have hit one of their guys,” Couturier said. ”Lucky bounce, but we’ll take them.”

The Flyers certainly need them. They still trail 3-2 heading into Game 6 on Sunday but counterpunched effectively against the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions.

Valtteri Filppula’s short-handed goal tied it late in the second period shortly after the Penguins had taken the lead and Couturier’s second goal of the playoffs was a knuckler that deflected off Pittsburgh defenseman Brian Dumoulin and by a surprised Murray.

Claude Giroux picked up his first goal of the series and Matt Read added an empty-netter. Michal Neuvirth stopped 30 shots, including a diving stop on the doorstep to deny Penguins star Sidney Crosby with 50 seconds left.

”I like playing in the playoffs Broncos Cheap Jerseys , like facing the pressure,” Neuvirth said after making his first start in more than two months in place of struggling Brian Elliott. ”But it’s only one game and we came here to win a hockey game. We did that. Now we have to win the next one.”

Jake Guentzel and Bryan Rust scored for the Penguins. Murray made 21 saves but Pittsburgh missed a chance to close out the Flyers thanks in part to a slow start and a power play that was the best in the league during the regular season went 0 for 5.

”I thought the second and third (periods) we were much better,” Crosby said. ”We ended up making a couple mistakes that ended up in our net.”

Mistakes that injected some actual tension into a series devoid of it coming in. The first four games were blowouts on the scoreboard if not always on the ice, three of them ending with the Flyers skating off the ice wondering what they needed to do to keep pace with cross-state rivals.

Philadelphia coach Dave Hakstol, perhaps fighting for his job Colts Cheap Jerseys , made his first significant change in an effort to keep his team’s season alive, giving Neuvirth his first playoff start in nearly two years after Elliott couldn’t shake out of a funk that saw him pulled in Game 1 and again in Game 4.

The Flyers also Couturier back to center the third line just three days after teammate Radko Gudas accidentally took him out during a drill in practice that forced Couturier to watch Pittsburgh’s clinical 5-0 Game 4 romp from the press box.

There was no need for change in Pittsburgh, which has developed a killer instinct under coach Mike Sullivan it lacked at times earlier in the Crosby/Evgeni Malkin era. The Penguins came in 8-5 in potential close-out games since Sullivan took over in December 2015, including a 5-2 mark at home.

Make it 5-3.

Giroux, a non-factor through much of the series Youth Dallas Cowboys Jerseys , gave Philadelphia the lead 17:29 into the first when he found some space in the slot and took a pretty feed from behind the Pittsburgh net by Jakub Voracek to pump a shot by Murray.

The Penguins replied with two goals in a 4:45 span in the second for the first lead change of the series. Bryan Rust beat Neuvirth with a wrap around 12 minutes into the second for his ninth career goal in a potential elimination game. Guentzel then took a feed from Crosby and slipped it between Neuvirth’s legs to put Pittsburgh in front.

The Flyers, for the first time since Game 2, responded. Now Philadelphia has to do it again at home, a place where the Penguins outscored the Flyers 10-1 while rolling in Games 3 and 4.

”We have to keep battling next game and play the with same kind of mentality,” Couturier said. ”It was a road game. We didn’t put a show on Youth Miami Dolphins Jerseys , but we kept it tight and found a way to win.”

NOTES: Penguins F Patric Hornqvist missed his second straight game due to an upper-body injury. Hornqvist did skate earlier Friday and remains day-to-day. … Malkin missed the final 4 minutes of the first period after Philadelphia’s Jori Lehtera fell on it when the two got tangled in the corner. LAKE FOREST Sam Hubbard Jersey Bengals , Ill. (AP) Throwing 16 times a game runs contrary to popular methods for winning in the NFL, or getting a passer experience.

Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Tribusky doesn’t care if his offense continues playing it safe – as long as it’s in a victory.

”As a quarterback, you want to be throwing the ball, but as a competitor and leader of this team, you’re going to do whatever it takes to win,” Trubisky said. ”And if it’s running the ball, if it’s passing the ball, whatever it is Thomas Rawls Jersey Jets , that’s what we’re going to do.”

Article continues below ...

Trubisky goes into Sunday’s home game at Soldier Field against Carolina with only 41 pass attempts in two games, as the Bears have leaned heavily on the running of Jordan Howard.

Trubisky threw 16 passes and the Bears ran 54 times last week to beat Baltimore 27-24 in overtime.

Overall, they rank fourth in rushes (186) and 28th in pass attempts (183), but they’re not worried so few attempts limits Trubisky’s progress as they play it safe.

”This is a combative game, a will-breaking game,” Bears coach John Fox said. ”Running the football is not the easy way to do it. You’re not finessing people.

”I think it’s a little bit like a championship boxing match. Body blows aren’t real sexy, but they take their toll in the later rounds. It’s a way to win, maybe not as flashy Breeland Speaks Jersey Chiefs , as exciting as knockouts and those kinds of things. But it works.”

This approach is nothing new for a team coached by Fox.

In 2003 during Fox’s second year coaching the Panthers, they finished 28th in pass attempts (460) with Jake Delhomme at quarterback and third in rushing attempts (522) but went to the Super Bowl.

In 2011 with Tim Tebow at quarterback, the Denver Broncos were last in pass attempts (429), but first in rushing attempts (546) and won a wild-card round playoff game.

Offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains called the excessive running more abberation than a regular plan, and cited the Ravens’ use of a cover-2 defense as a reason.

The Ravens tried to confuse Trubisky in his second start with a defense they’d rarely played, and left open the running lanes.

”You (media) guys know me, I like to throw the football,” Loggains said. ”I’m a quarterback guy.”

Howard rambled for a career-high 167 yards and broke a 53-yarder to set up the winning overtime field goal by Connor Barth.

”When you average 4.5 yards a carry Malik Jefferson Jersey Bengals , you can do that,” Loggains said. ”It’s easy to do that there. It’s when you’re averaging 2 and 3 and then all of sudden, you’re putting your quarterback in third-and-extra-long the whole time, you can’t play that type game.

”And that type game isn’t fun if you don’t win the game. The reward is you win and the guys up front did a great job. The run-game guys did a great job designing a good plan and our guys executed well.”

Loggains isn’t worried about a young passer becoming impatient with this style.

”He’s a team-first guy,” Loggains said. ”He knows that we are going to do whatever it takes to win a game.

”Sometimes it’s throwing 27 straight fastballs. If that’s what it is, that is what we are going to do. He also is very aware in his little time in the NFL that there are going to be games – maybe this week, maybe next week, maybe a month from now – that we are going to open it up and throw 45 times.”

Coaches say even with so few passes Kerryon Johnson Jersey Lions , they’re seeing development in Trubisky.

”I feel like I’ve grown a lot,” Trubisky said. ”I mean, I’m able to see it, I’m able to see it coming.”

Fox said Trubisky patiently threw the ball away six times last week and called it a sign of progress.

A week earlier, Trubisky gave up a key fourth-quarter interception to lose his first game against Minnesota.

”You can’t get selfish wanting to force in every pass – that just doesn’t make sense,” Trubisky said. ”So it’s just me trying to play smarter and put my team in the best position to be successful each drive and come out winning games.

”The throwaways are important.”

CLEVELAND (AP) His team already sunk Youth Cordy Glenn Jersey , Browns coach Hue Jackson is taking the plunge.

Jackson said Wednesday he’ll make good on his promise to jump in Lake Erie because of his team’s horrible record. After the Browns went 1-15 last season, Jackson vowed that if Cleveland was ever that bad again he would swim in the lake.

Well, the Browns are 0-15 heading into Sunday’s finale at Pittsburgh.

Time for a dip.

”So how many people are jumping in the lake with me?” Jackson playfully asked reporters as he walked to the podium ”Obviously I’ve got to get wet. I get it. I can pick a day and get everyone out there, we’ll all be in swimsuits and trunks and snorkels and all that.”

Jackson hasn’t sent a date for his splashdown Christian Kirk Jersey Cardinals , and said he would make it at his ”convenience” – code for in warmer weather.

Obviously, Jackson isn’t happy about having to make the swim. He imagined the Browns would be much better this season, but turnovers, injuries Tracy Walker Jersey Lions , penalties and just plain bad football has pushed Cleveland to the cusp of history.

With a loss to the Steelers, the Browns will join the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only teams in NFL history to lose all 16 games in a season.

BUFFALO Youth Frank Ragnow Jersey , N.Y. (AP) This wasn’t the first time Devante Smith-Pelly has had racial taunts directed at him during a hockey game.

And the Washington Capitals forward knew immediately what the intent of the message was when a few fans began chanting ”basketball, basketball, basketball,” while Smith-Pelly sat in the penalty box during a 7-1 loss at Chicago on Saturday night. Smith-Pelly, a black player in a sport dominated by white athletes, heard a similar taunt years before while playing in a tournament in British Columbia.

”It’s pretty obvious what that means. It’s not really a secret,” Smith-Pelly said after the Capitals practiced in Buffalo on Sunday. ”Whether it’s that word or any other word, I got the idea. And I’m sure they got the idea, too. Just one word, and that’s really all it takes.”

What stunned the 25-year-old is how incidents such as these keep happening.

”It’s disgusting Chad Thomas Jersey Browns ,” Smith-Pelly said. ”You’d think there would be some sort of change or progression, but we’re still working toward it, I guess, and we’re going to keep working toward it.”

The Blackhawks and United Center officials reacted swiftly by ejecting four fans shortly after an off-ice official sitting next to Smith-Pelly – serving a fighting major for a scrap with Chicago’s Connor Murphy – notified building security.

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman released a statement Sunday, saying the league condemns the fans’ behavior as being ”unacceptable and reprehensible.”

”While this was isolated in nature, no player, coach, official or fan should ever have to endure such abuse at one of our games,” Bettman said.

The Capitals released a statement saying they are ”extremely disappointed by the intolerant behavior” by a select group of fans in Chicago.

In thanking the Blackhawks and arena security, the Capitals said: ”It is crucial to confront such appalling conduct.”

The Blackhawks issued a statement apologizing to Smith-Pelly and the Capitals following the game Kyzir White Jersey Chargers , and said they ”are committed to providing an inclusive environment.”

Video shows Smith-Pelly seated in the penalty box while looking and pointing to his left. He then gets up with his stick and gets into a verbal exchange with a male fan on other side of the glass.

Smith-Pelly said he stepped forward publicly to call out the fans for what they said because he didn’t want to ”brush it under the rug.”

”I guess I’m trying to get the conversation started and show whoever these people were their true colors,” he said.

Joining the Capitals on their road trip, which concludes at Buffalo on Monday, are players’ fathers, allowing Smith-Pelly an opportunity to discuss what happened with his dad.

”We’ve had this conversation before,” said Smith-Pelly, who is from Toronto. ”So he said, `It’s just a few idiots being ignorant.”’

Smith-Pelly has seven goals and nine assists in 54 games is in his first season with the Capitals. He has 40 goals and 53 assists in 320 regular-season games with in seven seasons with Anaheim, Montreal, New Jersey and the Capitals.

Capitals rookie defenseman Madison Bowey said what happened in Chicago made him ”sick to my stomach.”

Assistant captain Brooks Orpik said: ”I wish I could say it’s surprising but it’s probably not all that surprising.”

”I think no matter what you do Joel Iyiegbuniwe Jersey Bears , you’re going to find pockets of ignorance anywhere you go,” Orpik said. ”Devo is as well liked as anyone in this room. I think it’s important for him to know that, and to know that everyone respects him a ton in this room.”

Capitals coach Barry Trotz reiterated his post-game comments by saying there’s no place for racism in hockey or the country.

”For the 22,000 people in Chicago at the game last night, there were a lot, a lot, a lot of good people,” Trotz said. ”And a few individuals keep bringing the ugly part of society out, and that was unfortunate.”

The fans’ taunts occurred during the NHL’s monthlong ”Hockey is for Everyone ” campaign to promote the game as being inclusive for all players regardless of race, color Sylvester Williams Jersey Lions , religion, national origin or gender. February is also Black History Month in the United States.

The NHL has had to previously deal with racial insults.

During the 2014 playoffs, the Boston Bruins denounced fans who posted racial comments on social media targeting then-Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban, who is black, after he scored in double overtime.

In 2011, a fan was fined $200 after pleading guilty to engaging in a prohibited activity for throwing a banana on the ice at Philadelphia Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds, who is black, during an exhibition game at London, Ontario.

Detroit’s 25-year run of consecutive postseason appearances came to an end in 2015-16 and the Red Wings have missed the playoffs the past two seasons. They entered their final game of the season on Saturday against the New York Islanders 27th overall in the NHL with a 30-39-12 record.

Still, Ilitch pointed to Holland’s performance as both a scout and the team’s director of scouting as the Red Wings assembled the talent pool that won four Stanley Cups between 1997-2008 as an indication that Holland can mastermind the current rebuild.

”Ken Holland has had the experience of seeing a Detroit Red Wings team in the 1980s build from the ground all the way up to the Stanley Cup champion Royce Freeman Jersey Broncos ,” Ilitch said. ”That’s the blueprint for our future and Ken knows that.”

Holland has traded to restructure the team and holds an NHL-high 11 picks in the upcoming entry draft.

”I understand there’s a big challenge ahead here going forward,” Holland said. ”I look forward to the challenge of rebuilding the Detroit Red Wings.”

Holland indicated that he would address the future of coach Jeff Blashill on Tuesday when the Wings have scheduled their locker cleanout day.

With James Reimer now healthy and Roberto Luongo starting to practice Mark Walton Jersey Elite , the Panthers have some decisions to make in goal.

”Harri’s done a heck of a job for us but we’ve got some goalies that are healthy, and we’ve got to get them back in action, too,” Panther coach Bob Boughner said.

Kopitar stretched the Kings’ lead to 3-1 just 25 seconds into the third. Kopitar took a pass from Alex Iafallo in the low slot and redirected the puck past Sateri.

Brodzinski put the Kings ahead 2-1 when he backhanded a shot that bounced off the Panthers’ Denis Malgin and past Sateri with 3:57 left in the second.

With 4:26 left in the third, Kings center Trevor Lewis was driven into the boards by Jared McCann. Lewis lay motionless on the ice for a minute or so. He later skated off the ice and to the locker room with the assistance of the trainer.

”I think he’s going to be fine John Franklin-Myers Jersey Rams , but not sure. Kind of a scary-looking play there, but hopefully he’s fine,” Stevens said.

The Kings tied it at 1 on Shore’s goal. Shore took a backhanded pass from Andy Andreoff in the left circle, worked the puck into the slot, and fired a shot over Sateri’s glove at 3:09 of the second period.

Shore was a healthy scratch the past two games.

”Anytime you’re out of the lineup Youth Markus Wheaton Jersey , you’re kind of just waiting to get back,” Shore said. ”All you can do is be ready for a chance. It’s nice to go out there and get two points tonight.”

Ekblad’s power-play goal gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead. Ekblad grabbed a rebound that came off the end boards at the left side of the crease and put the puck over Quick’s shoulder with 8:28 left in the first period.

PITTSBURGH (AP) JuJu Smith-Schuster hid his eyes Connor Williams Jersey Cowboys , counted to 10 and went looking for Le’Veon Bell.

The Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver found his team’s star running back crouching behind the goalpost, then proceeded to chase Bell all the way to the sideline as part of a hastily planned touchdown celebration.

”That was just us being dramatic,” Bell said with a smile.

In a good way for once.

Smith-Schuster never did catch Bell, by the way . Now he knows how the rest of the AFC North feels about the surging Steelers.

Ben Roethlisberger threw for 224 yards and two scores, Bell added 192 total yards and Pittsburgh’s defense dominated the Cincinnati Bengals in the second half of a 29-14 victory on Sunday.

A bit of a hot mess after getting upset at home by Jacksonville two weeks ago, the Steelers (5-2) have figured things out quickly. They shut down Kansas City on the road last Sunday and followed it up by suffocating Cincinnati in the second half to move into a tie for the AFC’s best record as their once-again promising season nears the midway point.

Pittsburgh held the Bengals (2-4) to 19 yards over the final two quarters, intercepting Andy Dalton twice and sacking him four times.

”The sky’s the limit Cody Latimer Jersey Giants ,” Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree said. ”Not even the sky’s the limit. We’re not going to put a ceiling on our head. We’re going to keep going up.”

Cincinnati came in looking to add some street cred to their resurgence after their 0-3 start, but instead spent the second half reverting to the kind of ineffective offense that got Ken Zampese fired two weeks into the season. Dalton finished 17 of 30 for 140 yards and the two picks while playing on a twisted ankle.

Dalton’s final pass symbolized a frustrating afternoon. Facing fourth down and trailing by two scores with 5 minutes left, Dalton scrambled to his left and then simply threw the ball away to seal Cincinnati’s eighth loss in its last night meetings with Pittsburgh.

”Any time you lose a division game, especially to the Steelers, the way they’re playing, every game counts,” said Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green after being held to three receptions for 41 yards. ”It’s tough. It sets us behind even more.”

Chris Boswell added a Heinz Field-record five field goals for Pittsburgh Youth Taven Bryan Jersey , which posted its highest points total and appears to be rounding into form as Halloween nears.

Two weeks after openly questioning whether he still ”had it,” Roethlisberger put together easily his best half of the season. He hit Antonio Brown for a 7-yard touchdown to cap Pittsburgh’s first drive, found a wide-open Smith-Schuster for a 31-yard score in the second quarter and threw a perfectly placed 23-yard deep out to Brown late in the second quarter to spark a drive that ended with a 24-yard Chris Boswell field goal that put the Steelers up 20-14 at the half.

Dalton and Cincinnati appeared ready to keep pace early. He connected with Brandon LaFell and Tyler Kroft with first-half touchdowns, but when the Steelers turned the pressure up, the Bengals crumbled.

Cincinnati managed just one first down in the second half, much of which Dalton spent on the run or throwing into trouble. Joe Haden collected his first interception with Pittsburgh when he made a juggling grab that set up a field goal by Boswell. William Gay added one later in the third quarter on an ugly overthrow by Dalton.

GOOD TIMES

Smith-Schuster’s joyous game of hide-and-seek turned out to be Bell’s brainchild. He approached Smith-Schuster – who at 20 is the NFL’s youngest player – about 10 minutes before kickoff with the idea. Smith-Schuster, who earlier this season paid tribute to the cartoon ”Dragon Ball Z” after scoring in Baltimore Youth Justin Jones Jersey , jumped at the chance.

”We didn’t practice it or nothing,” Bell said. ”It just kind of happened.”

HEISMAN’D

Bell’s day included 35 carries for 134 yards and three receptions for 58 yards, including a 42-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter that featured Bell stiff-arming Cincinnati’s Dre Kirkpatrick to the ground.

”I’ve been doing a lot of boxing, so that helped me today,” Bell said after the Steelers improved to 12-0 when he has at least 25 carries.

TRICKERATION

The Steelers put it out of reach late thanks in part to a 44-yard fake punt pass from Robert Golden to Darrius Heyward-Bey. The team has practiced it weekly for years and Golden found a streaking Heyward-Bey to set up Boswell’s final field goal.

”Horrible form,” Roethlisberger said. ”I told him it looked like he was casting deep sea fishing. But hey, might have been the best pass of the night.”

EXTRACURRICULARS

Oft-suspended Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict let his disdain for the Steelers known early. Burfict declined to shake hands when he came out to midfield during the coin toss. Burfict Youth Derrick Nnadi Jersey , who was suspended for the first five games of last season for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Brown during a playoff loss to the Steelers in January, 2016, then appeared to kick Steelers fullback Roosevelt Nix on the second snap of the game as the two were emerging from a pile.

Nix declined to get into specifics about Burfict’s behavior, saying simply ”that’s football.”

INJURIES

Steelers tight end Vance McDonald left with a knee injury and did not return. Cincinnati linebacker Kevin Minter exited with a knee injury in the first half and did not return.
