Morgan, who leads the Titans with 7 1/2 sacks, sprained a knee in last week’s 24-13 victory over the Houston Texans and did not practice at all this week.

A sixth-year pro, Freeman is on injured reserve because of a pectoral injury
he suffered in a season-opening loss to Atlanta. He also suffered a concussion
in the game that he said could end his career and is at the root of the latest

Adams was taken off the field on a stretcher with about 4 minutes left in the third quarter on Thursday night after getting hit in the head during a tackle by Trevathan. The game was delayed for about 5 minutes while medical personnel tended to Adams. He gave a thumbs-up signal as he was wheeled off the field.
The Packers said he was conscious and taken to a hospital for evaluation for possible head and neck injuries, and that he had feeling in all of his extremities.
Article continues below ...Trevathan was called for an unnecessary roughness penalty following Adams’ 8-yard catch but was not ejected and any fine would not come to light until next week. Green Bay won the game 35-14.
”It was definitely a scary moment,” said wide receiver Randall Cobb, who was one of the players who waved over to the Packers’ sideline for the medical staff immediately after the hit.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy wouldn’t say Friday whether he believes Trevathan should be suspended Bears Roquan Smith Jersey , though he left little doubt how he felt about the play.
”Brutal hit,” McCarthy said. ”It’s a helmet-to-helmet hit. Davante was in a compromised position. Obviously, like everything in our game, it’s evaluated and I’m sure there will be continued conversation going on through the channels long past today.”

The plan against the Chargers last month was to keep speedster Travis Benjamin in check with directional punts. But Benjamin returned Dixon’s line drive right down the middle for a tone-setting touchdown.

McAdoo refused on Monday to get drawn into a tiff with Reese as the team returned from its bye week and faced the final nine games of the season with a 1-6 record.
While accepting the blame for the team’s performance, Reese also had shared the blame with his second-year coach last week.

”Everything falls on my shoulders,” McAdoo said after putting the team through a short workout to start preparations for Sunday’s game at home against the Los Angeles Rams (5-2).
McAdoo said that it just wasn’t one problem that was responsible for the start. There was an injury to star receiver Odell Beckham Jr., struggles on the offense line and a defense that didn’t close out games as it did in leading the team to an 11-5 record and a playoff berth.
”In this business, it’s tough to win,” McAdoo said. ”But Panthers Rashaan Gaulden Jersey , it’s also tough to be in a situation we’re in and one thing doesn’t point to winning and losing games.
”Just like each and every game, there are a variety of things that happen in a game that puts you on a path to either winning or losing the ballgame and the same can be said for a season.”
McAdoo said that he talks to Reese every day, the two have a great relationship and they are 100 percent on the same page.
Still, the 40-year-old McAdoo knows he is on the hot seat, along with Reese.

”It’s a great opportunity. I don’t think that way. I’m doing everything I can to help these players put a winning product on the field on Sunday.”
McAdoo told his players ”to flush” the first seven games and focus on the next nine games one at a time.

”We’re going to find out,” Pugh said. ”We’re going to find out what the character of the men in this room is made of and it’s going to start this Sunday.”
Linebacker and defensive captain Jonathan Casillas used the bye week to rest his neck and go to the barber. He feels better and he hopes the defense can be more consistent in the second half of the season.
”I don’t think a good team can sit there and say almost halfway through the season they have one win,” Casillas said.
”We do have a lot of games left and that’s always a positive thing when the ship didn’t start the way you wanted to go, you can always correct it and I feel like we still have a chance to do that.”
The Giants should get some reinforcements next week. Casillas, wide receiver
Sterling Shepard (ankle) and backup linebacker Calvin Munson (leg) should play
this weekend.
Defensive end Olivier Vernon (ankle) and center Weston Richburg (concussion) are a little more uncertain Cheap Malik Jefferson Jersey , but they are getting closer to playing.
Besides getting players back, the Giants need to make a few more big plays when the game is on the line.
”If we could tell you, we wouldn’t be in the position right now,” Vernon said of the lack of big plays.

Earlier Sunday afternoon, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone and the team said he could miss the rest of the season.

The Oakland Raiders held a moment of silence and kept the torch that honors late owner Al Davis unlit as part of a pregame ceremony for those affected by the wine country wildfires.
Former Raiders receiver Cliff Branch announced the tribute. Branch lost his home in the fires this past week.
The Raiders have lit a torch at the Coliseum in honor of Davis for every game since his death in October 2011.

The former North Carolina standout is the first rookie to start at quarterback for Chicago since Kyle Orton in 2005.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was carted off the field with a right shoulder injury, and the team said his return was questionable.
Rodgers took a hard hit from pass-rushing Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr. Rodgers landed on his throwing arm as he fell after his second-down throw was dropped by tight end Martellus Bennett midway through the first quarter. Rodgers yelled at Barr as he walked off Authentic Henrik Lundqvist Jersey , but no penalty was called.

He was sidelined for six games last season with a broken right hand and then suffered an eerily similar injury almost one year to the day in September. Coleman leaped to make a catch against Baltimore, fell hard on his right hand and broke a different bone.
Now he’s physically healed and mentally stronger than ever.
”Stuff’s not going to go always as planned,” said Coleman, who had six catches for 62 yards and a touchdown in Cleveland’s first two games.
”You’ve just got to always be positive and keep on rolling. Don’t ever get discouraged about something. If I drop a pass Bills Russell Bodine Jersey , just keep positive energy, and over time, it’s going to work out.”
Coleman gives the Browns (0-9) a much-needed offensive playmaker. Cleveland’s receiving group has been a major disappointment, and Coleman’s speed will surely help rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer expand the field.
”He’s a burner,” said Kizer, who has cut down on turnovers lately. ”He is going to allow us to push the ball down the field vertically and everyone knows that Authentic Albert Wilson Jersey , but just to add more playmakers to this team is never going to hurt us. We were getting in a little rhythm with the guys that we had and to add someone else to that rhythm is going to be a big benefit for us.”
Coleman’s return is a welcomed respite in a season devoid of much positive news for the Browns.
”I love to see him back,” left guard Joel Bitonio said Thursday. ”I know he was disappointed he got banged up earlier in the year. It’s an unfortunate injury. And he’s been practicing hard and working hard and you’ve seen him around the building studying and stuff. I think he’s ready to come back and make a name for himself.
”Anytime you bring back someone like Corey, it brings a little jolt to the offense. And just seeing him in the huddle this week has got me excited.”
Coleman still has to prove to the Browns that he can be durable and consistent. After he returned from his injury last season, Coleman made only 26 catches for 240 yards and a touchdown in his final eight games.
That’s not nearly enough production for a No. 1 wide receiver, which is why coach Hue Jackson challenged Coleman in the offseason to do more.
The most recent injury was a setback, but Coleman is determined to make up
for lost time.
”I’m trying to do as much as I can to help us get a win Cheap Mike Gesicki Jersey ,” he said. ”It’s been a long wait. I’ve got to go out there and make plays and do my job.”
To Jackson, that’s helping Kizer.
”By making plays, creating a little bit more separation, go up and make plays on the ball when need be,” Jackson said. ”You have to make some of those uncommon catches in games at times. Hopefully, Corey can provide that for us.”
NOTES: To make room for Coleman Authentic Jaire Alexander Jersey , the Browns waived WR Kasen Williams, who made just nine catches for 84 yards after he was claimed off waivers in September. … The team also waived DB Ibraheim Campbell from injured reserve and RB Terrence Magee was signed from the practice squad to Atlanta’s active roster. … Starting C JC Tretter (shoulder, knee, quad) and RT Shon Coleman (concussion) did not practice for the second straight day, but Jackson has not ruled them out of Sunday’s game.
