CHICAGO (AP) William Nylander scored on a penalty shot 6 seconds into overtime to lift the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 3-2 win over the sagging Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night.

Nylander was awarded the attempt after he broke in alone on Jeff Glass from the opening faceoff in the extra period Authentic Hank Aaron Jersey , but was hooked from behind by Chicago’s Duncan Keith. Nylander scored the winner and his 10th goal by faking Glass and then burying a high backhander to send the Blackhawks to their fourth straight defeat.

Toronto’s Nazem Kadri connected for his 15th goal, a power-play score that snapped a seven-game scoring drought and was just his second goal in 20 games. Mitch Marner also scored for the Maple Leafs Authentic Corey Knebel Jersey , who won the second time in seven games.

Jake Muzzin also scored for the Kings, while Darcy Kuemper made 30 saves to improve to 6-1-3. Kuemper started in net for the Kings in place of injured goalie Jonathan Quick.

Sean Monahan scored for the Flames Authentic Babe Ruth Jersey , who have recorded points in 10 straight games while going 7-0-3 in that span. Calgary has lost three straight 2-1 decisions in extra time on home ice.

After placing seventh in the ski jumping stage, Schmid erased a 1 minute, 14-second deficit in the 10-kilometer cross-country race to finish 6.6 seconds ahead of Estonia’s Kristjan Ilves.

Schmid surged ahead of Ilves with less than one kilometer left to add to his previous World Cup wins in Italy and France last month.

LANDOVER Authentic Chipper Jones Jersey , Md. (AP) In one particularly embarrassing fourth-quarter sequence that drew boos from the home crowd, Kirk Cousins and the Washington Redskins went from planning to punt on fourth-and-1 to calling timeout and deciding to go for it, to drawing a delay-of-game penalty and, in the end, punting anyway.

Which, naturally, elicited more jeers.

By the end, Cousins was hearing cheers, because he made up for a pick-6 by showing the patience to produce a pair of second-half TD passes on slow-developing plays, helping the Redskins beat the New York Giants 20-10 on Thursday night on a drab field in a drab game between two injury-depleted teams that did not look ready for prime time.

Article continues below ...

”There were several plays that I would chalk up to the fact that they were sloppy because it was a short week. We just didn’t have the reps that we needed to Authentic Justin Turner Jersey ,” said Cousins, who was 19 for 31 for 242 yards. ”I’m just glad we found a way to win.”

The two NFC East rivals combined for more punts (nine) than points (six) in the first half, which ended 3-all on a pair of short field goals – from 30 yards by New York’s Aldrick Rosas, and 28 by Washington’s Nick Rose. The big play on Washington’s lone scoring ”drive” of the half? A 37-yard flag for pass interference on New York’s Ross Cockrell; the entire possession covered 38 yards.

But Cousins, for whom every game is seemingly a referendum on whether Washington (5-6) should sign him to a long-term deal, connected with Jamison Crowder on a 15-yard pass in the third quarter that broke a 3-all tie, and with Josh Doctson on a 14-yarder with 3 1/2 minutes remaining in the game.

On the Crowder play, Cousins was flushed out of the pocket and bought time by moving to his right before throwing into the end zone, where his receiver was ”pretty wide open,” according to the QB. On the one to Doctson Authentic Wade Boggs Jersey , Cousins looked for another receiver but eventually came back to last year’s first-round draft pick, saying, ”He got separation and made a great catch.”

In between, cornerback Janoris Jenkins intercepted Cousins’ pass and returned the ball 53 yards to make it 10-all.

That one play involved more yardage than Eli Manning and the Giants (2-9) generated in the entire second half.

”Not very good,” coach Ben McAdoo summed up.

They gained 47 yards and one solitary first down over the last two quarters. One possession ended with an interception by Manning, four ended with punts, and another dissolved when they turned the ball over on downs.

”It’s no fun losing. It’s no fun not scoring enough points offensively. It can wear you out. It can test you,” said Manning, who was 13 for 27 for 113 yards. ”You have to keep going to the drawing board and find ways to play better.”

This was the first time the Redskins had hosted a game on Thanksgiving, and they and the Giants didn’t exactly treat the national TV audience to a thriller. More of a snoozer.

Given the ugliness Authentic Francisco Liriano Jersey , perhaps it was fitting that it was contested on a terrible-looking field. A large swath of brown ran down the middle, all the way from one end zone to the other.

Route-runners stumbled and fell for no apparent reason. Redskins back Samaje Perine gained 3 yards on five carries in the first half, although he did finish the game with 24 runs for 100 yards. Some fans on Twitter blamed the shaky footing for Cousins’ poor throw that turned into Jenkins’ score.

The ineptness was on display all night, never moreso than on what Redskins coach Jay Gruden called ”football folly” – that botched fourth-down gong show that he blamed on a player who was supposed to be in the game but wasn’t because he had taken off a shoe.

What?

Yes.

Maybe all the issues were a result of being so depleted by injuries: Washington has placed 15 players on injured reserve this season, including its top two running backs, and New York’s total is 14, including star receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Both offensive lines have been particular areas of concern, and Thursday was no different. The Redskins were missing three starters, while the Giants were using their eighth starting combination of the season.

So maybe it was no surprise that there were 10 sacks, plus penalties for false starts and holding.

In the game’s first eight possessions Authentic David Robertson Jersey , the club combined for seven punts and one turnover on downs, when the Redskins failed to convert a fourth-and-1 in Giants territory thanks to Doctson’s dropped pass. Indeed, there were the same number of drops as first downs (four) in that stretch.

CROWDER COMES THROUGH

Crowder had a game-high seven catches – no other player on either team had more than three – for 141 yards and his first score of the season.

CINCINNATI (AP) Andy Dalton is getting acclimated with the Cincinnati Bengals‘ new offense Authentic Luis Gonzalez Jersey , which is a lot different than the one that finished last in the league.

He hasn’t had to learn so much since his rookie season.

”The way we’re going to be calling things, the way we’re going to be doing things – it’s all going to be different,” Dalton said Monday. ”There’s not much that’s the same.”

Article continues below ...

The Bengals had one of the worst offenses in franchise history last season, finishing last in the NFL in yards and time of possession and tied for last in first downs. The rushing game was the worst in club history, averaging 85.4 yards.

Bill Lazor was elevated to offensive coordinator after an 0-2 start, replacing Ken Zampese. He had to stick with the system in place Authentic Dustin Pedroia Jersey , one that’s been tweaked in the past decade under coordinators Jay Gruden, Hue Jackson and Zampese. The Bengals decided to keep him as coordinator and gave him more latitude to make changes in the offseason.

”What we were doing before was basically Jay’s offense with the adaptation of Hue – he put his stuff on it,” said Dalton, entering his eighth season. ”Then (Zampese) took over and did his thing. Now we’re starting from square one. This is all new.”

The redesign is a focus as the Bengals open their offseason activities. They’ve kept the core of the unit intact, even signing tight end Tyler Eifert to another deal as he recovers from back surgery. The line was the biggest part of the problems last season, and the Bengals acquired left tackle Cordy Glenn from Buffalo as an upgrade.

They’re likely to look for more help for the line early in the draft later this month.

The offense was ineffective even though Dalton and receiver A.J. Green were healthy throughout the season. Lazor made subtle changes as the season went along Authentic Archie Bradley Jersey , but they weren’t enough to make much of a difference, given the line’s struggles.

Eifert was one of their biggest questions heading into free agency. The first-round pick from Notre Dame in 2013 has been one of Dalton’s favorite targets when he’s not hurt. Eifert played only one game in 2014, eight in 2016 and two last season, when he suffered another back injury and had another procedure.

He set a club record for tight ends with 13 touchdown catches in 2015, but has only five in the past two seasons combined. The Bengals offered him a one-year deal loaded with incentives. Eifert said on Monday that his back has healed and he has few restrictions on his workouts.

He wanted to stay in Cincinnati but wasn’t sure whether the Bengals wanted to keep him or move onto someone else, given his history of injuries to his back Authentic Babe Ruth Jersey , shoulder, ankle and elbow.

”I’m obviously in a unique situation with the amount of games I’ve missed,” Eifert said. ”With the injuries and everything, I didn’t really know what was going to happen. But this is where I wanted to be and where I want to be playing.”

HAIR, HAIR

Eifert has a new look, letting his curly hair grow into a mullet. He’s got the sides cut short to accentuate the back.

”That’s what I had in college Authentic Brian McCann Jersey , the hair out the helmet,” Eifert said. ”I mean, it’s swaggy. It’s a good look. I never got hurt in college, I had long hair. I’m going to let it go.”

MAKING AN IMPRESION

Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett is in a group of more than 40 local players invited for the team’s annual workout on Tuesday at Paul Brown Stadium, hoping to make an impression heading into the draft next week.

DENVER (AP) Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche leaned on their speed to get off to another flying start.

This time Authentic Josh Sitton Jersey , it held up.

MacKinnon scored twice, including one as part of a three-goal first period and another to chase Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne from the game, and the Avalanche beat the Predators 5-3 in Game 3 on Monday night to pull to 2-1 in the first-round series.

Article continues below ...

Blake Comeau and Gabriel Bourque also scored in a furious opening period that revved up a pom-pom waving capacity crowd. Gabriel Landeskog was credited with an empty-net goal for the Avalanche, who snapped a 12-game skid against the Predators.

”Our guys were energized,” Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said. ”We were on our toes and the aggressors early in that game and it paid off for us.”

Game 4 is Wednesday in Denver.

For a third straight game in the series Courtland Sutton Super Bowl LI Jersey , Colorado scored first. But the Avs were able to make it stand in this one. MacKinnon and his teammates have been a different bunch at home this year. Their 28 home wins in the regular season was tied for the most in franchise history with the 2000-01 squad that hoisted the Stanley Cup.

”They gained a lot of momentum, used their atmosphere to their advantage and we weren’t able to respond in that first period,” Predators forward Ryan Johansen said. ”That can’t happen.”

MacKinnon’s goal at 4:25 of the second period gave Colorado a 4-0 lead and prompted the Predators to pull Rinne in favor of backup Juuse Saros . Rinne allowed four goals on 15 shots.

”We weren’t very good in front of him,” Predators coach Peter Laviolette said. ”I didn’t think we were giving him the support he needed.”

Laviolette wasn’t in a mood to elaborate on what exactly went wrong.

”It wasn’t good,” Laviolette said of the first period.

Any particular reason?

”We didn’t play very well Chase Edmonds Super Bowl LI Jersey ,” he said.

One thing was clear: MacKinnon was as fast as ever on home ice. He led the league in home scoring in the regular season with 67 points.

”He thrives on the energy in the building,” Bednar said. ”He’s just so explosive at home. He’s dangerous every time he touches the puck at home.”

Jonathan Bernier stopped 29 shots on a night when the Avalanche finished 0 for 5 on the power play. Johansen had a second-period goal and Colton Sissons scored another in the third to make it 4-2. Saros was pulled for an extra skater with around 2:20 left and, moments later, Landeskog was credited with a goal after being dragged down on a breakaway. A sliding Landeskog was trying to get the puck over to MacKinnon for the hat trick.

It’s about the only thing that didn’t work out for Colorado.

”We proved to ourselves that we can get a win,” MacKinnon said. ”Hopefully it just snowballs from here.”

Nashville got on the board midway through the second after Colorado was whistled for two penalties on a play Preston Brown Super Bowl LI Jersey , giving the Predators a 5-on-3 advantage. Johansen knocked in a rebound to make it 4-1, but Colorado quelled the other portion of the power play.

Late in the second, P.K. Subban and MacKinnon got tangled up near the corner. It led to some pushing and shoving with both getting holding penalties.

Simply playoff hockey.

”Anytime you play the same team over and over and over again you start to really dislike each other,” said Austin Watson, who added a late goal. ”It’s good battles Mike McGlinchey Super Bowl LI Jersey , good intensity out there and it’s fun hockey.”

It didn’t take long for Colorado to get on the board with Comeau scoring 1:50 into the game and on the team’s second shot. The Avs beat Rinne on their opening shot in each of the first two games.

Shortly after Bourque tipped in Patrik Nemeth’s shot, MacKinnon scored with 1:53 remaining in the first when he took a pass from Landeskog, used a burst of speed to get free and beat Rinne with a wrist shot.

The last time the Avalanche played at the Pepsi Center it was also desperation time. They beat St. Louis in a winner-gets-into-the-playoffs season finale.

NOTES: Nashville LW Viktor Arvidsson nearly had a goal in the first when he and the puck crashed into Bernier at the same time. The puck slid in, but the officials waved it off due to goaltender interference. … F Filip Forsberg had an assist on Johansen’s goal to become the Predators’ all-time postseason points leader (29). … A Nashville fan threw a catfish onto the ice. … Avs D Samuel Girard missed a second straight game with an upper-body injury. … D Nikita Zadorov celebrated his 23rd birthday. … Broncos LB Von Miller showed up wearing a No. 58 Avalanche jersey.

NASHVILLE Adidas Leon Draisaitl Jersey , Tenn. (AP) Tennessee defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau is not someone to sweep a poor performance under the rug or ignore any issues.

Though it would be hard for anyone to ignore giving up 57 points in one of the worst defensive performances in franchise history. That one left a mark.

A still smarting LeBeau promised Thursday the Titans will be much better than that starting Sunday in Miami.

”That’s not us,” LeBeau said. ”We’re going to prove that’s not us.”

New England beat the Titans 59-0 on Oct. 18, 2009, for the worst loss in franchise history Adidas Mats Zuccarello Jersey , and thanks to a couple touchdown runs by Marcus Mariota, the final margin in last week’s 57-14 loss to Houston stands as the sixth-worst margin of defeat for a franchise that started playing in 1960.

It’s not so much that the Titans gave up 445 yards but gave up six touchdowns and three field goals.

”We played a very poor game. Let them hold the ball, let them go on long drives, never gave our offense a chance to get the ball back Authentic Trent Murphy Jersey ,” LeBeau said. ”You’re not going to have success if we don’t play better than that. That’s my take on it.”

Thanks to all those points, the Titans (126) now rank ahead of only New England (128) and Indianapolis (136) for the most points allowed through four games. Tennessee now is giving up 31.5 points per game in a category that LeBeau wanted improvement this season after tying for 16th in 2016 giving up 23.6 points a game.

None of the Titans (2-2) were happy with a performance that had safety Kevin Byard eager to get back on the field Monday if only to erase the painful memory from his mind. That makes waiting until kickoff Sunday against the Dolphins (1-2) a challenge.

”It’s definitely going to be an eager feeling for the guys on defense to want to get out there and show that last Sunday that definitely wasn’t us,” Byard said.

Veteran linebacker Wesley Woodyard called the loss an eye opener and a wake-up call.

”You never want to lose like that,” Woodyard said. ”You never want to lose period. We got a good group of guys who know what we’ve got to do.”

CINCINNATI (AP) The flaws were obvious but the ending was different.

The Bengals finally won a game in Denver Authentic Ronnie Harrison Jersey , keeping their hopes for a playoff berth barely flickering for at least one more week.

It’ll take a statistically improbable series of events – a closing flourish by the Bengals, a closing implosion by numerous other teams – but at least there’s a chance.

Article continues below ...

The overriding question: Can the Bengals (4-6) fix the myriad problems that have dragged them down all season?

The Broncos’ struggles helped them win despite another very flawed performance.

”I don’t want it to sound like, `Hey, this was great,”’ offensive coordinator Bill Lazor said Monday. ”It wasn’t great. No one walked out saying it was great, other than the fact we won.

”But I think sometimes you get into those ruts in a season where you feel like if we could just get a win right now Authentic Thomas Rawls Jersey , maybe we can get the momentum turned, and I thought that’s what we were able to do.”

Andy Dalton got more time to throw and ended up with three touchdown passes, the last to A.J. Green for the decisive points in the 20-17 victory . But the running game was as bad as ever – 49 total yards – and the defense again had trouble getting off the field.

The Broncos (3-7) ran 26 more plays and had the ball for 10 minutes more than the Bengals. Denver also vastly outgained Cincinnati, 341-190, but self-destructed along the way.

In response, the Broncos fired offensive coordinator Mike McCoy on Monday and elevated quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave.

The Bengals’ first win in Denver since 1975 Jerome Baker Jersey Elite , when franchise founder Paul Brown was the head coach, gave them a chance to do something accomplished only four times since the league went to the current playoff format in 1990. The only teams to reach the postseason after starting 3-6 are the 1994 Patriots, the 1995 Lions, the 1996 Jaguars and the 2012 Redskins.

”Everything is still out in front of us,” Dalton said . ”We just need to keep winning.”

The Bengals haven’t won more than two games in a row. One of the most glaring problems has been the offensive line’s inability to protect Dalton or open holes for running backs. Dalton hasn’t been sacked as often lately – only twice in Denver – but the running game remains the biggest problem, ranking last in the NFL and worst in franchise history .

They’re on pace to rush for 1 Authentic B.J. Hill Jersey ,088 yards, easily their worst for a non-strike season. Their 3-yard average would shatter the club low mark of 3.6 yards.

”We’re failing to get the job done,” coach Marvin Lewis said Monday.

NO EJECTIONS

The Bengals ended their streak of two straight games with a star ejected before halftime. Green was tossed in Jacksonville, and linebacker Vontaze Burfict was thrown out in Tennessee. In Denver, Green led with four catches for 50 yards. Burfict had a team-high 12 tackles and a sack, along with forcing a fumble.

”You have a better shot at winning when your best players are on the field Josh Sitton Super Bowl LI Jersey ,” Lewis said.

HOME AGAIN

The Bengals host winless Cleveland (0-10) on Sunday in the first of three straight home games. Pittsburgh (8-2) then visits for a Monday night game, followed by a visit from Chicago (3-7). Cincinnati is 2-2 at Paul Brown Stadium this season and 6-5 over the past two seasons. The Browns have dropped six straight to the Bengals, including 31-7 on Oct. 1.

EDEN PRAIRIE Authentic Austin Romine Jersey , Minn. (AP) Dalvin Cook became the latest integral offensive player lost by the bad-luck-trodden Minnesota Vikings.

The team’s fear of a torn ACL in the rookie running back’s left knee was realized Monday, sealing the end of a promising rookie season.

Coach Mike Zimmer confirmed the diagnosis, signaling the switch to Latavius Murray as the primary ball carrier. Cook will have reconstructive surgery once the swelling subsides. Some additional cartilage damage was discovered, Zimmer said, but no additional ligaments were injured beyond the ACL.

Cook was injured trying to cut for more yards near the end of a run in the third quarter of Minnesota’s defeat by Detroit on Sunday. He lost a fumble on the play and needed help off the field. Afterward, he was on crutches Wholesale Michael Dickson Jersey , wearing a bulky brace.

Cook endured some shoulder trouble in college at Florida State, but this will be a new challenge. Not so for the Vikings, who are essentially still recovering from the dislocated left knee suffered by quarterback Teddy Bridgewater last year and the domino effect it had on the roster.

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) – The Oakland Raiders will be without quarterback Derek Carr for two to six weeks after he injured his back in a 16-10 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Carr left the Raiders’ game at Denver late in the third quarter Sunday after being shaken up on a sack.

Carr was hit by defensive end Shelby Harris and was going down when defensive end Adam Gotsis flew in and wrapped a padded arm between his helmet and shoulder pads.

Carr remained on the ground for several moments as team trainers and medical personnel came on to the field to tend to him. He eventually was able to get up and walk off the field on his own power, holding his lower back.

NEW YORK (AP) – Pete Rose is out of the Fox Sports lineup.

The network says David Ortiz and Keith Hernandez have been added to the Fox studio for postseason telecasts. They’ll join Alex Rodriguez and Frank Thomas as analysts, along with host Kevin Burkhardt.

The 76-year-old Rose was part of Fox postseason telecasts the last two seasons. A woman’s claim that she had a sexual relationship with the career hits leader when she was a minor became public this summer. Her claim was part of testimony in a federal lawsuit Rose filed last year in Philadelphia against a lawyer whose investigation concluded the former Cincinnati star bet on the Reds while managing the team.

Ortiz worked in the Fox studio during the 2014 World Series. The Boston slugger retired after last season.

Hernandez has been an analyst on New York Mets telecasts since 2006. The first baseman helped the Mets win the 1986 championship.

The Fox telecasts begin Thursday before the start of the AL Division Series games.

It’s unclear if the tournament organizers will reschedule three games that were forfeited when the team missed them.

But the young players seem thrilled just to be making the journey. Prior to boarding their flight they tweeted a video thanking Cabrera for stepping in to pay their airfare after sponsorship in the crisis-wracked nation fell through.

The victory over Anaheim elevated Vegas (24-9-2) to the top spot in the Western Conference, a position that no one thought achievable when the season commenced in October. Under the guidance of coach Gerard Gallant, who was unceremoniously fired last season by the Florida Panthers, the Golden Knights have developed into a legitimate playoff contender.

Although his team has emerged as the model for how to launch a sports expansion franchise Adidas Jaromir Jagr Jersey , Gallant remains humble while his players continue to improve and grow in confidence. While their play was far from perfect in the Wednesday victory, Gallant keeps feeding them positive reinforcement.

“We try and battle and work hard every night, and tonight we found a way,” Gallant said. “We didn’t start the game off great. I thought the first eight minutes we were sloppy, but after that I thought we played a great game and a great road game. We found a way to get two big points.”

Shea Theodore, who returned to score a key goal against Anaheim, his former team Adidas Carey Price Jersey , concurred with Gallant. Despite surrendering an early goal to the Ducks, the Golden Knights raised their level of play to capture the victory. Allowing the first goal to the opposition has not been a problem, as Vegas has posted a respectable 9-8-2 record when allowing the opening goal.

“We do a really good job of coming back in and regrouping,” Theodore said. “We know what our strengths are. That break in between periods, we come in and we talk about it a little bit and focus up, and I feel like that is definitely a good thing about our team.”

Los Angeles (22-11-4) is looking to bounce back from a 2-0 loss at San Jose on Saturday, the first time the Kings were shut out this season. Despite possessing one of the league’s best records Authentic Troy Niklas Jersey , the Kings were inconsistent in the two weeks leading up to the league’s holiday break, posting a 2-3-1 record and averaging two goals per game in those contests.

In an attempt to kick-start the offense, coach John Stevens shook up his line combinations at practice Wednesday, specifically at the left wing position. Tanner Pearson moved up the depth chart to play alongside Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown. Marian Gaborik was paired with Adrian Kempe and Tyler Toffoli, while Alex Iafallo vacated his customary spot alongside Kopitar and Brown and was grouped with Nick Shore and Trevor Lewis.

The Kings are looking to avenge a loss in the inaugural meeting between the teams, a 4-2 setback in Las Vegas on Nov. 19. Goaltender Jonathan Quick was driven from the net at 11:22 of the first period after surrendering three goals on nine shots as the Kings were decisively outshot 40-29.

Stevens is one of few observers who expected the Golden Knights to thrive in their inaugural season.

“I’m not surprised,” Stevens said after practice on Wednesday. “They have got a really experienced management team Wholesale Byron Maxwell Jersey , they are really well coached and they have depth.”

Los Angeles needs improvement in one facet of its special teams play to break out of its recent mediocre stretch. The Kings are tied with the Sharks for the best penalty-kill percentage (.865) but have languished with the extra man, converting only 15.4 percent of their opportunities, which ranks 28th. In 11 games this month, the Kings have converted only 2 of 24 power-play opportunities (8.3 percent).
