LAS VEGAS (AP) O.J. Simpson will live in Florida after he is released on parole from a Nevada prison where he has been held for the past nine years for a robbery conviction Cheap Jeremy Kerley Jersey , his lawyer said Friday.

Attorney Malcolm LaVergne didn’t specify where the former sports and movie star would live, although Tom Scotto, a close friend who lives in Naples, Florida, has offered his home. Scotto didn’t respond to messages seeking comment.

However, the state attorney general doesn’t want Simpson to come back. Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter Friday to the Florida Department of Corrections, urging it to tell Nevada officials that Florida objects to Simpson serving his parole in the southern state.

”Floridians are well aware of Mr. Simpson’s background, his wanton disregard for the lives of others, and of his scofflaw attitude with respect to the heinous acts for which he has been found civilly liable Josh Sweat Super Bowl LI Jersey ,” Bondi said in the letter. ”Our state should not become a country club for this convicted criminal.”

Simpson was acquitted of the 1994 killings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman in Los Angeles. But he was found liable for their deaths in a civil case in 1997 and ordered to pay the victims’ families $33.5 million.

Florida corrections officials have said in the past that they must accept the transfer if Nevada’s request meets the established criteria. A Florida corrections spokeswoman, Ashley Cook, said her agency has not received a transfer request or documents about Simpson.

He becomes eligible for release Sunday Authentic Kevin Hogan Jersey , but LaVergne said he doesn’t know where or when it will happen. He expects to learn more when Simpson notifies him that he is being moved from Lovelock Correctional Center in northern Nevada.

Simpson’s attorney said he will begin pressing for answers if his client is not free by Oct. 8. LaVergne said he spoke with Simpson by telephone Thursday and that he is excited about his pending freedom.

The Charlotte Observer reports Joshua Jeffords, of Huntersville Authentic Mike Gesicki Jersey , filed a lawsuit against Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox in Mecklenburg County Civil Court on Nov. 22. The 26-year-old Cox is being sued for alienation of affection. He has yet to respond to the lawsuit.

Jeffords said in the filing that he learned in September of text and Snapchat messages between his wife and Cox, including explicit photos and discussions of having children together. He says his wife met Cox during a work trip to Pennsylvania in April and she moved there in October.

Other than the players themselves, of course.

Written off by many after the first month, the surging Chargers kept the faith. And now, after a 14-7 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday, they’re a win – and some help – away from the postseason.

”That’s all we can ask for at this point,” quarterback Philip Rivers said, ”starting 0-and-4, digging the hole we dug, is to be alive in Week 17.”

The Chargers (8-7) take on AFC West-rival Oakland at home next Sunday. Tennessee (8-7) lost 27-23 to the Rams, and Buffalo (8-7) fell to New England 37-16 – each helping Los Angeles’ playoff hopes. The Titans are home against Jacksonville next week, while the Bills are at Miami.

The Chargers would be in the postseason if they win, Tennessee loses and Baltimore (9-6) beats Cincinnati.

A 30-13 loss to Kansas City last week appeared to be ominous, and the Chargers had to guard against that defeat lingering while they prepared for the Jets.

ALLEN’S ACHIEVEMENTS

Allen had five catches for 63 yards and the interception. Allen, who has 93 catches for 1,260 yards this season, is the first player in NFL history with at least 90 catches and an interception in the same season. He is also the third player in NFL history to have at least 1,000 receiving yards and an interception in the same season, joining Pro Football Hall of Famer Don Hutson (1942) and Randy Moss (2009), who is eligible for induction in 2018.

GORDON’S HEALTH

Gordon had 81 yards on 19 carries to put him over 1,000 yards for the first time in his three NFL season. But he left late in the game with an ankle injury. PETTY READY TO FINISH

Despite a rough second start of the season, Petty is expected to be under center and not Christian Hackenberg for the Jets’ season finale at New England next season.

”As of now, yes,” coach Todd Bowles said.

Petty, playing in place of the injured Josh McCown, missed open receivers and repeatedly flexed his right hand, which he banged up early in the game. But he remained in and said his hand is fine, finishing 15 of 28 for 119 yards and an interception.

”It’s frustrating,” Petty said. ”This team deserves better, this offense deserves better – and I know I can make those plays.”

BACK IN BUSINESS

Gates turned back the clock a bit, finishing with a team-leading six catches for 81 yards and a 3-yard touchdown.

The 37-year-old tight end had a diminished role this season while backing up Hunter Henry Patrick Omameh Super Bowl LI Jersey , who emerged as a primary target for Rivers this season. But Henry was placed on injured reserve with a lacerated kidney, so Gates was back as the starter this week.

Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson was inactive after being benched at New Orleans last Sunday for being late to a team meeting.

Wilkerson practiced with the team all week, and coach Todd Bowles insisted the veteran ”served his sentence” when asked if further discipline might be used. Bowles said it was ”a coach’s decision” for Wilkerson to not play. Wilkerson, who wore sweats on the sideline, declined to speak to the media after the game.

The coach wouldn’t use Wilkerson’s contract situation as having played a role. His $16.75 million salary for next season is fully guaranteed against a serious injury.

DETROIT — The Detroit Red Wings will be without red-hot goaltender Jimmy Howard when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday night.

HOUSTON — As their postseason hopes drift away toward the horizon http://www.cincinnatibengalsteamonline.com/jessie-bates-iii-jersey , both the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans are facing the same challenge relative to those playoff aspirations: Attempt to fashion a late-season revival with a backup quarterback at the controls.

For the Texans (3-6), who will host Arizona on Sunday at NRG Stadium, that means salvaging something positive from the unsightly performances of Tom Savage. Houston fell to 0-3 with Savage as the starter last Sunday, when he committed four turnovers in a 33-7 loss to the Rams.

The struggles for Savage have been myriad, from his inaccuracy (47.3 completion percentage) to his inability to challenge defenses downfield. Savage is averaging 4.9 adjusted yards per attempt, well off the top-five pace Deshaun Watson established (8.4) before his knee injury.

But the turnovers in Los Angeles added a new dimension of ineptitude for the Savage-led offense. His first interception was especially debilitating, with the Texans leading 7-6 late in the first half and in the red zone poised to extend their lead. The Rams seized momentum Authentic Clayton Kershaw Jersey , turning that Savage miscue into a field goal just before the break and a lead they would not relinquish.

“I think those types of things, in terms of upper body mechanics and where the ball is in terms of in his carriage, and doing that type of thing, you can always work on it,” Texans quarterbacks coach Sean Ryan said. “You can always work on it, correct it. Dougie Hamilton had a goal and an assist, and Sean Monahan also scored as Calgary – with its wild card hopes fading – lost for the fourth time in five games. Mike Smith finished with 25 saves.

Domi stole a pass in the Calgary zone and beat Smith to tie the score at 2-2 with about 2 1/2 minutes left in the second period.

Both teams missed several scoring chances in the third period until Ekman-Larsson put the Coyotes ahead with 3:41 remaining, then added an empty-netter 2:04 later for his 13th of the season to double the lead.

Smith started his first game at Gila River Arena since the Flames acquired him from Arizona last summer. A video tribute to the Coyotes’ all-time leader in games played and shutouts among goalies was shown during a stoppage in play in the first period, and Smith offered a quick wave after being welcomed back.

The Flames tied it on Hamilton’s goal at 9:05 of the second, his 16th of the season. Hamilton’s 43 points lead Calgary defensemen.

The Flames took the lead with 4:32 left in the middle period as Monahan put in a rebound for his team-leading 31st. The advantage lasted just two minutes.

Domi recorded his second three-point night of the season.

Neither team scored in the first period, but a goal by Monahan at with about seven minutes to go was disallowed because of a delayed penalty. The Coyotes totaled six penalty minutes in the first, all related to physical play and scuffles with Flames players.

Domi was called for high sticking and raised his penalty-minute total to 67, which leads the Coyotes.

WASHINGTON (AP) Alex Ovechkin made the most of a quick opportunity to make up for a shootout miss.

Ovechkin scored in regulation and the tiebreaker Dolphins Jason Sanders Jersey , lifting the Washington Capitals to a 4-3 victory over the Boston Bruins on Thursday night.

The 32-year-old Ovechkin missed his shootout try during Wednesday night’s 1-0 loss to the New York Rangers.

”That’s one thing that Ovie does, is that (if) he had a failure, he sort of says `I’m going to make up for it’,” Washington coach Barry Trotz said. ”There was no doubt that thing was in.”

Lars Eller and Brett Connolly also scored for the Capitals, who snapped a three-game losing streak and won their 12th consecutive game over the Bruins.

Washington also ended a scoring drought that lasted almost nine full periods and overcame deficits of 2-0 in the first period and 3-2 in the third.

”It was not really one of our best games Orlando Brown Jr. Jersey Elite ,” Eller said. ”But we battled back.”

David Backes scored twice for the second time this season, but Boston lost for the third time in its last 12 games. Noel Acciari also scored for the Bruins.

Washington’s Braden Holtby and Boston’s Anton Khudobin each made 31 saves.

Connolly tied it at 3 with 8:38 left in the third when he attempted a centering feed toward Tom Wilson at the crease. Instead, the puck caromed off a Boston player and over the line before Khudobin could stop it.

Ovechkin had the only successful shootout attempt, finishing into the top right corner.

Washington gave up two goals during a 49-second stretch early in the first period, and then pulled even with two goals 96 seconds apart in the second.

Backes’ second goal put Boston ahead 3-2 and came just moments after Washington killed off its fifth penalty of the game. T.J. Oshie gave the puck away in his own end, and Danton Heinen found Backes open for a shot that struck Holtby’s glove on its way in.

Even then, Washington found a way to extend its Boston winning streak.
