LOS ANGELES (AP) The third period has belonged to the Los Angeles Kings all season Authentic Kevin Long Jersey , and they showed it again with another furious finish against the Edmonton Oilers.

Paul LaDue scored the tiebreaking goal on a power play with 5:27 remaining, and the Kings pulled away late in a 5-2 victory Wednesday night.

Darcy Kuemper made 25 saves for his fourth straight win, although his shutout streak ended at 193:58 – the second-longest in Los Angeles history behind Jonathan Quick’s mark of 202:11 in October 2011. Adrian Kempe and Kyle Clifford also scored for the Kings, who improved to 24-4-2 when tied or leading after the second period and boosted their NHL-leading scoring margin in the third to plus-35.

”These are games we want to win Authentic Justin Bethel Jersey ,” Clifford said. ”We want to have an identity that we’re a third-period hockey team, so we came out ready to play.”

Drew Doughty got his 300th NHL assist and 400th career point for Los Angeles. Current general manager Rob Blake is the only other defenseman in franchise history to reach both milestones.

Connor McDavid scored for the third straight game and Leon Draisaitl had a power-play goal for the Oilers, who failed to earn a point for the second time in their past eight games (5-2-1). Cam Talbot made 23 saves.

LaDue put the Kings back in front 3-2 at 14:33 of the third with his second NHL goal. Edmonton challenged for goaltender interference, but the play stood as called.

Alex Iafallo and Anze Kopitar added empty-net goals.

”They obviously gained some momentum in the second. We took a couple penalties we shouldn’t have Wholesale Mike Hughes Jersey ,” LaDue said. ”I thought we came out strong in the third and we executed to our game plan, and it paid off.”

McDavid tied it 2-all at 10:20 of the second by beating Kuemper between his legs, giving him seven goals in his last three games. McDavid needed several seconds to collect himself after colliding with teammate Jujhar Khaira in the neutral zone before Michael Cammalleri found him for what would become a 1-on-1 break against Doughty.

”Might have been cheating a little bit high glove, and he made a good shot five-hole and made me look silly Wholesale Denzel Ward Jersey ,” Kuemper said.

Draisaitl cut Edmonton’s deficit to 2-1 at 3:28 of the second, scoring the first goal Kuemper allowed after stopping 85 straight shots.

Clifford scored his second of the season to give the Kings a 1-0 lead 1:10 into the first period, and Kempe made it 2-0 just 58 seconds into the second with his 16th goal.

”We’ve been through that scenario too many times this season,” Oilers coach Todd McLellan said.

Edmonton had three chances to take the lead early in the third 49ers Tarvarius Moore Jersey , starting when Darnell Nurse’s shot hit the post. Kuemper then made a sprawling save to stop Cammalleri’s follow-up before Milan Lucic hit the post again.

”The post was a good friend of ours tonight,” Kings coach John Stevens said. ”We had some luck there on those plays there, but at the end of the day I thought the guys dug in, did a good job there and got the ship righted and found a way to win the hockey game before we hit the road.”

DALLAS — The Winnipeg Jets and Dallas Stars haven’t played one another in over three months Patrick Omameh Jersey Elite , but these Central Division rivals head into Saturday night’s game at American Airlines Center fresh off positive results in their most recent contests.

Dallas (35-22-4, 74 points) defeated the Los Angeles Kings 2-0 at Staples Center on Thursday, a nice bounce-back result after the Stars dropped their first two games of their California road trip by a combined score of 7-2 to San Jose on Sunday (5-2) and Anaheim on Wednesday (2-0).

“Well, we’ve played so well the last two nights, we needed to get rewarded,” Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said after Thursday’s win. “As well as we played tonight (Thursday), we probably played better last night, and we needed to start seeing rewards for this good play.”

Article continues below ...

The Stars did not practice Friday as they traveled back to Dallas, where they begin a five-game homestand against the Jets on Saturday.

Dallas is 21-9-1 at home and 10-10-0 against the rest of the Central.

Winnipeg (36-16-9, 81 points) Josh Rosen Jersey Elite , who sits just ahead of Dallas in the division standings, has already beaten the Stars twice this season, 5-2 in Winnipeg on Nov. 2, 2017 and 4-1 in Dallas four days later.

Stars defenseman Greg Pateryn, who had a goal against the Kings on Thursday, feels a little payback might be in order this weekend.

“We definitely owe them,” Pateryn said after Thursday’s win in L.A. “I think everyone’s looking forward to some rest (on Friday), but everyone’s looking forward to that game too.”

In that win against the Kings, Tyler Seguin had the other Dallas goal, giving him 30 for the season Wholesale Arden Key Jersey , which not only ties the perennial Stars All-Star for fifth in the NHL in goals, but gives him 30 tallies in four of his first five seasons in Dallas.

Ably supporting Seguin and Stars captain Jamie Benn this season on offense has been newcomer Alexander Radulov, who is tied for the team lead with 54 points.

However, for Hitchcock, in his second stint coaching the Stars after leading them to their only Stanley Cup win to date back in 1999, the recent showing of both Benn and Seguin is exactly what he likes to see this time of year.

“Both him (Seguin) and Jamie (Benn) are starting to take control of the hockey club,” Hitchcock said. “They’re taking control on the ice, they’re taking control in the locker room and on the bench. That’s good stuff, that’s what we need. Your best players at this time of year have to be your best players. Every team’s looking for that.”

The Jets are on the tail end of a back-to-back after winning 4-0 at St. Louis on Friday night.

In that victory, which made Winnipeg 13-10-7 on the road and 10-6-2 against the rest of the Central Lamar Jackson Jersey Elite , the Jets got two assists from Mark Scheifele, who has 13 assists and 25 points in 19 career games against Dallas, and a goal and an assist each from Kyle Connor and Blake Wheeler.

“Yeah, it’s huge, a huge two points, (against) a team that’s trying to catch us in a contested division and conference. Every game is magnified now,” Wheeler said.

Wheeler’s assist on Connor’s power-play goal late in the first period was his 53rd helper of the season, a career high for the veteran forward.

Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck turned away all 34 shots he faced against the Blues to earn his sixth shutout of the season, establishing an Atlanta/Winnipeg franchise record.

“We have a lot of goal scorers on our team and it was fun to watch them tonight,” Hellebuyck said.

Jets coach Paul Maurice could return to Hellebuyck on Saturday in Dallas or could ask backup Michael Hutchinson http://www.atlantafalconsteamonline.com/calvin-ridley-jersey , recently cleared after missing the previous six games with a concussion, to face the Stars in their own building.

Either way, Hellebuyck will support Maurice’s decision.

“Yeah, I’ll always be ready when my name’s called. It’s coach’s decision and if he decides on another guy, I’ll be there to support him,” he said.

Saturday’s game will conclude what is a quick two-game road trip for the Jets. And even for a team that has fared well away from Winnipeg this season, there are always areas of their game they can polish.

And Wheeler saw several such areas in Friday’s game, even though it ended 4-0 in the Jets’ favor.

“Just some of the little details when you play with a three-goal lead, a four-goal lead in the third period, I thought we took our foot off the gas a little bit Sam Hubbard Super Bowl LI Jersey ,” Wheeler said. “I thought we could have done a little more in the third.”

But in the end, it’s another road win for Winnipeg and two additional points.

“We’re going to have to play some big games on the road down the stretch, so we’re trying to work on that area of our game,” Wheeler said.

BEREA Authentic Justin Grimm Jersey , Ohio (AP) Josh Gordon has never played an NFL game sober. That has to change if he plans to play in another one.

One day before the Browns wide receiver gets another shot at rebooting his star-crossed career, Gordon revealed in a candid magazine interview that he used drugs or alcohol before every game of his career – pro or college.

Gordon, who was reinstated on a conditional basis by Commissioner Roger Goodell last week after being suspended for nearly three years, told GQ he drank or smoked marijuana before ”every game. Probably every game of my career.”

Article continues below ...

The former Pro Bowler did the interview before meeting with Goodell in New York. Gordon said he began taking drugs in seventh grade, and he outlined a pregame routine as a pro where he would do shots of alcohol to ”get the motor running.”

”We would stay at the team hotel, and then players are allowed to go back home, get what they need and then go to the game,” Gordon said. ”So I’d leave the hotel early morning, go home Authentic Kyzir White Jersey , eat breakfast, do my little ritual, whatever it may be, some weed, some alcohol and then go to the game. And then, I’d definitely be partying after every game, win or lose. Every game.”

Gordon’s shocking admission came as the Browns prepared to welcome him back to their facility on Tuesday. On Monday, executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown said the team has had limited contact with Gordon since his reinstatement.

”We have had some preliminary conversations with him,” Brown said. ”We are looking forward to having him back.”

Coach Hue Jackson said Gordon’s disclosure won’t change the team’s decision to accept him back.

”I think he was letting things out if that is what was said Mark Andrews Jersey Elite ,” said Jackson, who coached Gordon before the 26-year-old checked himself into rehab in 2016. ”I think he was cleansing himself of his past, and I get that a little bit, but again, I think he said what he felt he needed to say.”

Jackson said he planned to sit down with Gordon and discuss his disclosures, which included him saying, ”a bunch of guys smoke weed before the game. But we’re not talking about them.”

Gordon has been suspended three times for multiple violations of the league’s substance-abuse policy. During his first stint with the Browns, Gordon said he found ways to cheat the league’s rules.

”If I had already been drug tested that week, or the day before the game Authentic Steve Cishek Jersey , I knew I had a couple days to buy to clean my system,” he said. ”Even before I was getting tested for alcohol, prior to my DWI in 2014, I would take the biggest bong rip I could. And try to conceal all the smell off all my clothes. I’d be dressed up to go to the game. I would have these little pre-made shots. I used to love Grand Marnier. I could drink it down smooth. I could usually drink a lot of it.

”But if it wasn’t that, it might be a whiskey or something. And I would drink probably like half a glass, or a couple shots to try and warm my system up, basically. To get the motor running. That’s what I would do for games.”

In the conditions established by Goodell, Gordon is allowed to attend team meetings and work out by himself. As long as he fulfills requirements, Gordon can begin practicing with the Browns on Nov. 20.

Gordon has missed 51 games since 2014 due to the suspensions Cheap Rashaan Gaulden Jersey , derailing a career filled with so much promise.

In the GQ piece, Gordon said he was forced to move from Ohio to Florida to escape ridicule after he was suspended.

”I’ve been harassed, had drinks thrown at me,” he said. ”I’ve been (followed) in the grocery store, heckled everywhere. At the games, people harassed and heckled my brothers and my mom. Somebody dented the hood of the car. Had to sue a guy and get the money back cause he damaged the car. People are throwing money, pennies, to break the windows. So Cleveland was rough, man.”

Jackson said he’s not worried that Gordon is painting a gloomy picture to get out of playing for the winless Browns.

”I don’t think he is trying to do that http://www.newenglandpatriotsteamonline.com/adrian-clayborn-jersey ,” he said. ”I do need to feel comfortable that he is not. If he is coming back to play football, I think he knows he needs to play football here. There is no other place that he can do what he needs to do in the National Football League, I am talking about as far as playing. It is right here.”

CLEVELAND (AP) Todd Haley has experience calling plays Kerryon Johnson Super Bowl LI Jersey , beating AFC North teams and working with star quarterbacks.

Just the kind of coach who could help the Browns win.

Haley, who was fired last week by Pittsburgh Adidas Evander Kane Jersey , has discussed Cleveland’s offensive coordinator position with Browns coach Hue Jackson, according to a person who spoke Sunday to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team is not confirming any interviews.

Haley spent six years with the Steelers before he was let go following a playoff loss to Jacksonville.

Jackson has handled offensive coordinator duties the past two seasons Authentic Mickey Mantle Jersey , but after going 0-16, he said he was open to hiring a coordinator. Jackson has previously interviewed Houston quarterbacks coach Sean Ryan and fired New York Giants coach Ben McAdoo about the job.

ESPN first reported the Browns were in ”serious talks” with Haley Saints Marcus Davenport Jersey , whose contract expired after the Steelers were stunned 45-42 by the Jaguars.

Jackson is very familiar with the 50-year-old Haley after years spent facing each other as division foes.

Haley worked as Arizona’s coordinator and was Kansas City’s head coach for two years before joining Mike Tomlin’s staff in Pittsburgh.

He occasionally butted heads with Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, but Haley also oversaw one of the NFL’s most elite offenses spearheaded by wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le’Veon Bell.

The Browns have struggled to score under Jackson Armani Watts Super Bowl LI Jersey , but Cleveland’s offense is set to get an infusion of talent. MIAMI – For the first time since 2004 Authentic Chukwuma Okorafor Jersey , the Buffalo Bills enter the last weekend of the regular season still alive for a potential playoff spot.

The Bills (8-7) visit the Miami Dolphins (6-9) at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday. The Dolphins are out of playoff contention but are in a position to play spoiler against a Bills team that beat them just two weeks ago.

As for the Bills, a win would not guarantee them their first playoff berth since 1999. The Bills would also need a loss by the Baltimore Ravens against the Cincinnati Bengals or losses by the Los Angeles Chargers and the Tennessee Titans. The Chargers play host to the Oakland Raiders, and the Titans play host to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Article continues below ...

“If we don’t win, it’s not going to matter,” Bills coach Sean McDermott said of his team’s long-shot playoff hopes. “We need to focus on the task at hand.”

The Dolphins, who have now missed the playoffs 14 of the past 16 seasons, haven’t seemed very focused lately, losing seven of their past nine games.

In last week’s 29-13 loss at the Kansas City Chiefs Authentic Mike Hughes Jersey , Dolphins coach Adam Gase and standout receiver Jarvis Landry engaged in a sideline shouting match.

Both, though, have since downplayed the encounter.

“I wasn’t yelling at Adam,” Landry told The Miami Herald. “I was talking to Adam.”

Gase seemed to indicate it was more than just talking, but he also said that such incidents are not uncommon.

“It’s part of the game – it just happens,” Gase said. “It’s not the first time.”

The Bills, who are favored by three points, have played fairly well lately Wholesale Chad Thomas Jersey , winning three of their past five games. The only two losses during that span came against the New England Patriots.

Buffalo has eight players on injured reserve, including left tackle Cordy Glenn and defensive end Shaq Lawson, a 2016 first-round pick who had four sacks in 11 games this season.

In addition, the Bills list starting guard John Miller as questionable – he has missed the past six games due to an ankle injury.

Miami has 14 players on injured reserve, including six projected Opening Day starters. Two key players listed as questionable for Sunday are running back Damien Williams and rookie cornerback Cordrea Tankersley.

Williams, who has a separated left shoulder, is Miami’s best pass-catcher out of the backfield. Tankersley, who has impressed this season as a third-round pick out of Clemson Wholesale Orlando Brown Jr. Jersey , has missed the past three games due to an ankle injury.

The Dolphins offense, missing starting linemen Jermon Bushrod and Ja’Wuan James, tight end Julius Thomas and original starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill – all due to injuries – has struggled to score and to hold on to the ball.

Miami is 28th in the league in points and 30th in turnovers lost.

The Bills’ defense, meanwhile, is sixth-best in interceptions, and Buffalo is 6-1 when it forces at least two turnovers.

Buffalo’s defense is vulnerable to the run, ranking 30th in the league. But Miami is last in the league in rush attempts and hasn’t shown the tenacity to stick with the ground game on a consistent basis.

One curious trend for the Bills is that they have scored a combined total of just nine second-half points in their past five games, excluding an overtime touchdown that beat the Indianapolis Colts.

“We struggled early in the year scoring in the first half Wholesale Kentavius Street Jersey ,” Bills offensive coordinator Rick Dennison told BuffaloBills.com. “Now we’re scoring early and not scoring late. We’ll try to make adjustments, but it will come down to executing every play and being consistent.”

The Bills rank 26th this season with just 9.3 points per game after halftime, and that could open up opportunities for Miami.

Buffalo’s offense hasn’t been a force, ranking 24th in the league in scoring. But Miami’s defense ranks 28th in points allowed.

Sunday’s game likely will be the final game as a Dolphins player for quarterback Jay Cutler, who is 6-7 as a starter this year and has a 19-14 touchdowns-to-interceptions ratio. Cutler was signed this past summer after Tannehill suffered a season-ending injury.

Other Dolphins players to watch include running back Kenyan Drake and Landry. Drake, a second-year pro, took over as a starter midway through the season and is averaging 4.8 yards per carry. Landry, meanwhile Authentic James Daniels Jersey , is playing for a new contract and has 103 receptions, 895 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns.

The Bills are led by running back LeSean McCoy, who has rushed for 1,128 yards, six touchdowns and a 4.1 average. He had 96 yards from scrimmage in Buffalo’s 24-16 win over Miami two weeks ago.

LAS VEGAS (AP) George McPhee’s endgame has always been about making the Golden Knights contenders.

Strategic moves to keep winning.

The veteran general manager has ridden his savvy all the way to the Stanley Cup Final Authentic Da'Shawn Hand Jersey , a stirring run by the first-year franchise and the first major sports team in Las Vegas. While the expansion draft gets most of the attention in attempts to explain the unusual success, the moves made by McPhee in late February, when the trade deadline came along, have proven just as important.

Article continues below ...

”I wanted to wait as long as we could to determine what we had as a team,” McPhee recalled. ”At the trade deadline we felt it was a very good team. But it was getting thin, we were getting banged up Cheap Durham Smythe Jersey , guys out of the lineup, we had other guys playing hurt. We wanted to do the very best we could for this team that was playing its guts out, to help it.”

He began moving pawns across the NHL chessboard, starting with the acquisition of forward Tomas Tatar from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for three draft picks: a first-round pick in 2018, a second-round pick in 2019 and a third-round pick in 2021. Tatar brought with him a contract worth $15.9 million through the 2020-21 season.

While the Golden Knights did send Brendan Leipsic to Vancouver for Philip Holm, perhaps the biggest trade was the one for bruising forward Ryan Reaves from Pittsburgh Cowboys Connor Williams Jersey , a move that included the Golden Knights acquiring 40 percent of Derick Brassard’s contract. Brassard going to Pittsburgh from Ottawa meant the talented center would not be going to Winnipeg – the team Vegas just beat in a rugged Western Conference final.

Many wondered whether the trade would be worth it given Reaves’ notoriety for physical play. But Reaves brought some brawn to the Golden Knights and scored the game-winning goal in Game 5 at Winnipeg.

”We just thought when we get into the games down the stretch and we’re in the playoffs, we can have a guy that can play the game right,” McPhee said. ”Ryan did a good job of providing the line and getting us good, hard, safe minutes on some nights. Even though they’re not scoring like some of the other lines, they’re one of our better lines because they’re playing the game right. The other team isn’t getting chances Adidas Corey Perry Jersey , we’re keeping it deep on them and playing physical on them.”

McPhee and coach Gerard Gallant also wanted to make sure the chemistry built over the first five months of the inaugural season wasn’t disrupted. And that meant keeping most of the lineup intact.

That included unrestricted free agents David Perron and James Neal, both of whose names swirled in trade rumors, and at the beginning of the season were perceived as rentals until the deadline. Nobody saw the Golden Knights doing as well they did, so it was conceivable guys like Perron and Neal could’ve been sent to playoff contenders for future draft picks or younger, up-and-coming players by the deadline.

As it turned out, Perron and Neal were already on a playoff contender and on their way to stellar seasons. Perron registered a career-high 66 points in the regular season Cheap Mike Gesicki Jersey , while Neal piled up 25 goals, scoring at least 20 in each of his first 10 NHL seasons. The only other current players to do the same: Jaromir Jagr, Patrick Kane, Alex Ovechkin, Jonathan Toews and Thomas Vanek.

”We knew that we weren’t moving anybody out,” Gallant said. ”We were happy with our lineup Authentic Braden Smith Jersey , we were happy with the group of players we got. We talked about adding players to our team, to make our team better and we definitely did that. But there was no thought about moving any of players out at that time. We had a great season, everything was going good and we wanted to make sure we had enough security for a playoff run and that’s what they did.”

The Golden Knights await the winner of the East final between Tampa Bay and Washington, with Game 7 set for Wednesday night. The Stanley Cup Final begins Monday.

”The monotony of showing up to the rink the same time every day, to break it up and guys are kind of wheeling in whenever Authentic Nomar Garciaparra Jersey , it keeps it light in here and sometimes you need that and a change of pace and I think it helped tonight,” Stalock said. ”It wasn’t an easy game, but we had a good third period.”

Matt Duchene scored his seventh goal for Ottawa. Mike Condon made his first start since Dec. 30 and made 33 saves as the Senators lost for the fourth time in five games.

”I thought we gave it a great effort,” Ottawa coach Guy Boucher said. ”Right away at the start they get that goal and definitely we could’ve folded in and said it’s one of those nights Authentic Anthony Miller Jersey , but I thought it was the opposite. Our guys fought real hard.”

The rapid accumulating snow caused several players to arrive to the arena much later than their normal time for preparation, though all were in on the ice for pregame warmups. Some players said their commutes were nearly two hours longer than normal.

As they approached the arena, some received a police escort for the final stretch. The team arranged for valets to come out for others that were stuck in traffic, allowing the players to walk to the arena while someone brought their cars the rest of the way.

”Guys were just kind of throwing gear on Authentic Lamar Jackson Jersey , getting dressed and going,” Zucker said.

Any late arrivals didn’t get the chance to see Parise’s second goal of the season and second in two games. He scored just 45 seconds in after Staal cycled around the back of the net and slid the puck across the crease to a wide-open Parise on the back side.

Duchene tied it in the second period after rookie Chris DiDomenico sprung him for a breakaway. Duchene has 14 points in 31 games since he was acquired from Colorado.

”That’s one you’ve got to step on the throat in the third and make sure we have it,” Duchene said. ”Obviously it’s been a tough go and maybe we didn’t have the confidence to finish it off there, but we have to be a little more desperate and make sure we get it.”

Zucker tied Eric Staal for the team lead with 19 goals this season five minutes into the third for the game-winner in front of a sparse crowd. Granlund assisted on Zucker’s goal before adding his own tally five minutes later.

”I think we’re pretty desperate when you think about it Wholesale Saquon Barkley Jersey ,” Minnesota coach Bruce Boudreau said. ”We need the points. I don’t think Ottawa does. We are looking at the scoreboard and seeing Colorado winning and other teams winning. You know this is a game you should be winning. So I think we pushed a little harder in the third.”

”There’s no turning back now,” said McNeil, who has been condemned and praised leading up to the parade.

A season-ticket holder, McNeil never wanted the parade to happen. The Browns Cheap Paul Worrilow Jersey , though, turned an intended joke into reality by becoming the second team in NFL history to lose 16 games in a season. In joining the 2008 Detroit Lions, Cleveland’s team has found a new low in nearly two decades of disgrace since returning as an expansion franchise in 1999.

The Browns were stumbling toward a 1-15 record in 2016 under first-year coach Hue Jackson. McNeil, who like other fans was basking in the aftermath of the Cavaliers winning the NBA title to end the city’s 52-year championship drought, posted a sarcastic message on Twitter about the Browns: ”This team deserves a parade.”

The sentiment created a stir on social media. Soon McNeil, better known as (at)Reflog-18 on Twitter Cardinals Chase Edmonds Jersey , was obtaining a permit from the city to hold a parade. But it was canceled when the Browns finally won on Christmas Eve after 14 straight losses.

McNeil gave money raised to hold the event to the Cleveland Food Bank, a gift that reached nearly $50,000 after Browns owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam doubled the donation.

McNeil never considered the possibility of another parade, but when the Browns lost in Pittsburgh last Sunday, it became official.

He’s organized on the fly, hiring security Authentic Steve Cishek Jersey , taking out insurance and renting portable bathrooms. McNeil set up a GoFundMe account to help cover expenses. Excedrin donated nearly $8,000, saying Browns fans didn’t need another headache after what they’ve endured.

As of Friday morning, the event’s Facebook page says 6,300 people have committed to attend and 20,000 more are interested.

McNeil knows of fans flying from California. Area hotels have informed him that guests intend to attend the parade despite a weather forecast better suited for penguins and polar bears.

In recent weeks 49ers Kentavius Street Jersey , McNeil has sensed the tone change from sarcastic to serious. Browns fans are demanding better.

”Some people are saying they want to turn this thing around,” he said. ”Others say they want to fire Hue Jackson or change ownership. Others just want to go down there and have a cathartic experience.”

The Browns haven’t impeded McNeil and understand this comes with the territory after going 1-31 in two years.

”We greatly appreciate the passion of all our fans and we apologize to them for not making 2017 an enjoyable season,” the Browns said in a statement. ”We certainly hear them and understand their frustration. Obviously, we want the same thing as our fans; winning results. We are committed to doing everything we can to improve and build them the type of team they most certainly deserve.”

McNeil is criticized by some who feel he’s mocking the Browns and only bringing more embarrassment to Cleveland, whose image was scarred for years by the city’s sports failures.

He argues his goal was to give fans a voice to reach the Haslams.

”People know we have been wronged by this organization and we deserve better and they know while it’s a tongue-in-cheek thing by calling it a parade, it really is a protest Kareem Martin Jersey Elite ,” he said. ”We’re not out here saying we’re happy about 0-16. When I think of embarrassment, I think of a team that has won one game in two years.”

SEATTLE (AP) In the grand scheme of what the Seattle Seahawks are trying to accomplish this season Jerome Baker Jersey Elite , a failed physical could end up becoming a huge benefit.

The Seahawks began taking inventory of their injury situation Friday, a day after a brutal 22-16 victory over Arizona kept Seattle on the heels of the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West at 6-3. Yes, it was an important win. It was also a costly victory after cornerback Richard Sherman was lost for the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon in his right leg.

Sherman first injured the tendon a month ago against the Rams and it finally popped against the Cardinals. After never missing a game in his career due to injury, Sherman will now be a spectator the rest of the way.

That’s where a failed physical suddenly becomes so important. Cornerback Jeremy Lane was supposed to be a member of the Houston Texans at this point after being included in the trade where Seattle acquired left tackle Duane Brown. Except the trade had to be modified after Lane failed his physical with the Texans and returned to the Seahawks.

Lane will now play a significant role in how the Seahawks move forward without Sherman. Rather than having to scramble to find a veteran on the open market or put undersized nickel cornerback Justin Coleman in an unfamiliar role Authentic Eddie Robinson Jersey , the Seahawks can lean on Lane and his experience playing on the outside as Sherman’s replacement.

Lane was the starter opposite Sherman when the season began. Eventually, rookie Shaquill Griffin took Lane’s spot, precipitating the trade. But now it’ll be Lane, Griffin and Coleman as the primary cornerbacks.

”If it was anything I could play with http://www.seattleseahawksteamonline.com/rashaad-penny-jersey , I would be out there,” Sherman said. ”J-Lane, (Coleman) and the rook, Shaq (Griffin) Geron Christian Jersey Elite , they are all capable, and they will do a great job. I will stay in the room and make sure they get all the coaching points and give them everything I got.”

Sherman represents the second major loss this season for Seattle’s defense. Cliff Avril is on injured reserve with a neck injury suffered in Week 4 against Indianapolis and all indications are he will not return this season. Standout safety Earl Thomas has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury.

Seattle signed veteran Dwight Freeney to help make up for the loss of Avril. While former Seahawks cornerback Byron Maxwell is unsigned after being released by Miami, there may not be a similar immediate move for the secondary.

”At the end of the day, you have to continue to play our ball. We can’t dwell on what’s going on Raiders P.J. Hall Jersey ,” Griffin said. ”You just know (Sherman’s) going to get back as soon as possible. We’re going to continue to prepare everybody else. Like the people that stepped up today, they’ll be ready for the next game.”

The Seahawks were battered in Thursday’s victory. On top of the loss of Sherman, several others – Brown, C.J. Prosise Vita Vea Super Bowl LI Jersey , Michael Wilhoite – left the game with injuries and didn’t return. Normally upbeat even in the most difficult circumstances, head coach Pete Carroll was noticeably somber after the victory.

At least Seattle will get extra rest. The Seahawks don’t play again until Nov. 20 when they host Atlanta.

NOTES: The NFL said Friday it was reviewing whether Seattle followed concussion protocol when QB Russell Wilson was told to leave the field after a hit in the third quarter. Wilson was on the sideline briefly and missed just one play. The team could be penalized if it is found in violation.
