How to Make Concentration Equipment more Efficient from mixingtank's blog

The Concentration Equipment is a new type of dewatering device that combines the filtration characteristics of the mud layer. Applicable to concentrates and tailings demineralization, widely used in metallurgy, chemical, coal, non-metal dressing, environmental protection and other industries. Thickeners play a vital role as solid-liquid separation devices. How to effectively improve the efficiency of the concentrator? Golden Machinery has summarized some experiences.

The tank of the sedimentation tank is designed as a shallow layer

In general, the settling tank of the concentrator has nothing to do with the capacity of the concentrator, mainly depending on the settling speed and the settling area of the settling tank. However, if the tank is shallow and the material falls, the settling velocity will gradually decrease as the pulp density increases.

Segment feeding

The feed roller of the high efficiency concentrator is placed in the center of the concentrator. It consists of three mixing chambers connected in series in the vertical direction. Each mixing chamber can be fed with a small angle and a small angle. According to the stirring strength, the design is performed from top to bottom from strong to weak to prevent breakage when the flocs are formed. Each chamber is administered separately and may or may not flocculate.

Overflow design is unreasonable

Some concentrator overflow tanks are built in, away from the top edge of the tank and covered by wood. The staff could not observe the overflow ditch throughout the operation.

Rational use of flocculants

The size of the flocs determines the rate of settling, which is related to the molecular weight and rate of addition of the flocculant. The use of a flocculant having a molecular weight of 5 to 20 million and added at a slow rate contributes to the formation of large flocs. It is very important to determine the agitation speed based on the time at which the ore particles form flocs. The stirring speed is pleasant at the beginning, so that the flocculant is completely and uniformly dissolved in the pulp.
