Escape From Tarkov Update Makes Key Changes To Weapon Recoil, Weight Limit, And More from xingwang's blog

Battlestate Games has revealed a new batch of changes for Escape From Tarkov today, including a reduction in recoil angle for all in-game weapons. It remains unknown how big this reduction would be, but players can expect the first kick of the weapons to be lowered after these changes are implemented in the latest patch update.

The new update also lowers the stamina, water, and energy consumption in raids. The aim of this change is for players to require less liquid or nutrition in longer raids such as Streets of Tarkov or Woods. The stamina penalty will also be reduced no matter which type of ammo you are hit by.

Below, you can check out the full notes for the new balance update:

Reduced the recoil angle for all weapons

Reduced the stamina penalty when hit by any type of ammo

Increased the weight limit while overweight.

Reduced stamina consumption in various cases, decreased energy and water consumption in raid

Greatly reduced penalties from armored rigs and body armor.

The increase in the overweight limit is another big change that will allow players to carry heavier items. All of these new changes appear to reduce the overall difficulty for players. Of course, Escape from Tarkov still remains a hardcore raid shooter, but these tunings will help you have more chances of survival.

In the final days of 2022, Battlestate Games launched update 0.13 for Escape from Tarkov, adding the brand-new Streets of Tarkov map, and wiping all the progress from accounts. Since then, all players have started the game from scratch. In the early days of the 0.13 launch, Streets of Tarkov had serious issues such as significant frame drops and even crashes, which could cost players a lot of valuable loot.

The following patches fixed some of the problems, but Streets of Tarkov still requires further optimization, especially knowing that it would take longer for players to extract on this new map.

Aside from developing the raid mode, Battlestate Games is also working on an Arena mode for Escape from Tarkov, which is supposed to EFT Roubles focus on gunplay and teamwork rather than raiding and extraction.
