West's prototype layouts and made some adjustments from StevenCao's blog

They memed on it so tough that Jagex is now totally altering the armor's design. Virtually all of Old School Runescape's upgrades undergo participant polls, but that is the first how to make money on old school runescape time that the suit of armor has been forged in a passion of memes.

The irony is that while players hated the'final' armor revealed earlier this year, they loved the prototypes shown when the raid was declared. Originally, the Justicar armor was part of a trio of new armor sets, West tells me, but since the Theatre of Blood went from obscure concept to actual content, the armor changed with it. Players said there was sufficient DPS equipment but insufficient tank gear, so it had been narrowed down to just 1 armor set. And when they were only going to use one set, Jagex figured they might also make a new one based on the armor worn by the raid's huge poor.

"We believed changing it up a bit made sense," West says,"but players weren't quite on board with the original proposal we shared on stream.

The memes came hard and quick. Some players said it was too similar to existing armor, including armor from Runescape 3, the newer, mainline version of Runescape. Many demanded a return to the prototype designs. Others thought the new armor did not seem tanky enough and generously provided a few alternatives, with some calling for a more extreme redesign.

It got so bad that a few players started to seriously believe a meme that the upgraded armor was by another artist, which the artist that made the prototypes had left Jagex. But then something amazing happened. Even as memes blotted out sunlight, gradually but surely severe suggestions started to shine through. It began with crude Photoshop jobs, but shortly appropriate examples and fan art began to crop up. Players rallied around the idea of a milder, blessed armor group inspired by the Runescape god Saradomin, so they went back into West's prototype layouts and made some adjustments.

And after that, a hero emerged: legend_arts, a gifted and famous Runescape fan artist. Inspired trusted osrs gold sites from the memes and motivated by elements of West's designs and other players' ideas, legend_arts made a hybrid armor layout so great it not only silenced the memes, it captured the attention of West himself.
