Rocket League is the follow-up to PS3 game Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. It recently went through a closed beta on PS4, and is now due out on July 7 on both the console and PC.

Those who pick it up on PS4 will get an exclusive bonus, as iconic Twisted Metal character Sweet Tooth will be playable. You can briefly see the vehicle in action in the new trailer above and in the screenshots below.

Rocket League developer Psyonix has discussed its decision to Rocket League Items give the game away for free through Sony's PlayStation Plus service. Speaking in a two-part documentary created by former GameSpot video producer Danny O'Dwyer, the studio said its inability to market the game itself was a "large factor."
